I stayed here as a group of 4 people in 2 different double rooms. My room had memory foam mattresses which were amazing. But I heard from my colleagues that their beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was super spacious and reminded me more of an upscale house than a hotel room. The common area on the first floor with shops, a brewery, and a coffee bar looked really neat but I didn't get to enjoy them with my visit being in and out in one night.

Visited for a quick work trip and stayed one night at the Crazy Water Hotel. The front desk staff at The Square were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made check-in smooth and welcoming. The room was clean and cozy, and I loved the vintage charm of the hotel — it definitely has a unique character that sets it apart. The surrounding area felt very safe, and although Mineral Wells is a small and quiet town, this hotel is a great option if you need to stay nearby. It’s full of history, and you can really feel that in the design and atmosphere. I’d recommend Crazy Water Hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable and charming place with great service.

We came in and ate in the lobby. Our server Matthew was the most outstanding server I have ever had anywhere. He took such good care of us and was extremely personable. He really is a super sweet attentive server. If anyone deserves a raise or to be accommodated for their work ethic it’s Matthew. Thank you

This place is AMAZING! A HUGE THANK YOU to the staff of this little gem of a location. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, clean, and elegant. The entire staff is kind, courteous, helpful, and all around genuinely excited to see their guests. The staff is also extremely accommodating, no matter the size of the request. The rich history is also a huge bonus for any history buff or seeker of adventure.

Beautiful vintage hotel, restored to it’s early glory. Surprised by variety of shops in the one part of the first floor. All done professionally and in a charming manner. Set in a quaint downtown area of Mineral Wells, Texas. Great way to spend a day.

Our stay was such a treat. Robby at the Brewhouse was so personable and really created a great experience. He knows a lot about this craft and did not disappoint. Charles, who works the desk went above and beyond to make sure he helped create the finishing touches of a spot on stay. I highly recommend this hotel. My husband and I will definitely be coming back to enjoy the ambiance.

Yelp
My husband, son and I came to stay at the Crazy Water hotel for my husband's birthday weekend. The hotel is great- we were impressed with our room (King suite) but we also really enjoyed that the hotel in and of itself is its own weekend trip. We didn't even have to leave the comfort of the A/C to go visit a brewery, coffee shop, gift shop, toy store, and to grab dinner - everything was inside the hotel. When you're traveling with a baby in June in Texas, this really does make life easier. We also made the trek down the street to the crazy well to get some water. We had a blast and it was a perfect little getaway for our family. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Weekend staycation @ the crazy water hotel. Everything was amazing from the coffee and shops in the lobby of the hotel. Walking distance to the crazy water wells and bathhouse. The onsite restaurant and Rickhouse brewery were so tasty. We enjoyed the music in the brewery that evening with Neal and Alfie. Check in was smooth and had a beautiful room. Mineral Wells is defiantly a gem in Texas.

Yelp
A unique stay off the beaten path! This is such a wonderful property that has been revitalized and created into a very unique opportunity for their visitors to eat, drink, shop and stay. The rooms are like tiny apartments with full amenities. They are clean and well kept. The hotel itself is a complete destination with a brewery, shopping area, phenomenal restaurant and bar. It is the perfect weekend getaway surrounded by the perfect small town Texas feel.

Yelp
I cant say enough wonderful things about this hotel! The history of this town is enough to keep you busy for days.. We truly had a wonderful time we're only going to stay for a night and then decided to stay an extra night. The mineral wells here have healing properties and we immersed ourselves in it for three days. When you first pull up your greeted with monogrammed carpet and velvet ropes you know it's gonna be good. When you walk into the lobby it's like sticks taking a step back in time into a grande ballroom with a grand piano. When we got up to our room which was a suite has a stove full fridge couch two TVs and an enormous bathroom . The Hotel offer also offers different amenities such as a coffee shop and about five or six different cutest boutiques that you've ever seen in your life. As I stated before the history is prevalent here and they have a small museum in the hotel which has things from the hotel when it was built in the 1912.

Yelp
Two bedrooms (king and queen), two full bathrooms, living area and kitchen with appliances and full entertainment area. Absolutely blown away. Gorgeous! Wish we were staying more than one night. The attention to detail is incredible. 10/10

Yelp
We have stayed at this hotel numerous of times. Starting off with the positive. Lulu the front desk girl is amazing, majority of the staff are nice. The hotel is needing some TLC. We stayed there for 5 nights ($2300.00) and only had housekeeping 1 night. My husband had to take trash to the front desk, we had to ask for toilet paper and trash bags. even though the house keepers were just in the room cleaning. We asked for house cleaning numerous times. We had to call to front desk only for the phone to ring then go to voice mail. Toilet in master bedroom kept breaking, bed was loud and very uncomfortable. There are not a lot of "full service" hotels. The hotel is VERY expensive for what you get. Based on the price and lack of service I would probably elect to stay at the Best Western up the street. Very disappointed with our stay this time. I feel that this could be once again a great hotel. But for the price I would definitely look elsewhere.

Yelp
I wanted to love this hotel. I do appreciate the heart behind rejuvenating the hotel & the town. Unfortunately, though, they seem to be missing the mark. After traveling from out of state and arriving at night, we were put into the wrong room (had reserved a room with a sleeper sofa, but were put into a room with 1 queen bed and a small couch). My mom and I were too tired after traveling, so we just shared the bed and tried to focus on the fun parts of our trip. Sadly, our room was not cleaned at all for the next two days, so we had to get shampoo and coffee from the front desk. Not the end of the world, but also not what we expected at a place where we were spending $1000! The shops are cute, but they were completely empty all week long. I suppose this is not surprising because a pair of pajamas costs $160. You can't expect people with a high socioeconomic lifestyle to stay and spend money here if you can't even provide them with clean towels and coffee. When it was time to check out, there was no desk clerk. We tried to call multiple times over the next couple of hours, but no one answered. When we finally got ahold of someone, she was rude and said she was "working on it". Not sure how she even knew we had been trying to check out, but I suppose it'll get taken care of eventually (??). Clean, safe hotel, but be prepared to take care of yourself. I doubt I will stay here again, but I sure hope Mineral Wells can boost the town's economy. The town and hotel has great potential! I hope you meet your potential soon.

Yelp
this has been beautifully reconstructed. Came to Mineral Wells for a weekend away, but there was work to be done on prior visits. Well, the work has been done and that I said beautiful we were sorry we didn't stay here. They haven't finished the spa pool.Jackie. at the desk was helpful and pleasant when we asked about other areas that have been renovated. She offered to show us the top floor ballroom. This entails a giant dance area bar and a smaller social area. It's ready for an appropriately sized convention or party I am real sorry we missed the recent Ft. Worth Rotary meeting. 88 local investors took on the project and didn't impressive job. I am really sorry they haven't been able to do the same with the baker hotel but the crazy water was the same time. The second bar and Grill in the main lobby served a delicious dinner The restaurant itself is a little hard to hear conversation due to echo. When I told Lily our waitress, we would like to be seated in the open lobby section. She said she was happy to comply. This area is supposed to be open for meals and in fact, you could make reservations for it on Resy, but reception told us it was closed. Lily was right there, though with a marvelous fruit, waffle, complete with eggs and hot syrup. We will stay here next time.

Yelp
Cute hotel! The rooms are large, amazing bathrooms. Undergoing some renovations still but definitely didn't change our experience. The little plaza area is neat. The toy store is awesome too! Fun area and would recommend. One suggestion though, and definitely not the hotels fault but the road noise is outrageous during the middle of the night so bring a sound machine to drown it out!

Yelp
Here in Oct 2024, for 2 nights. My first reservation made on line thru the web site didn't show on their side. I had a confirmation number I received by email but when I called the next day to add my dog to the reservation they couldn't find me. The gentleman I spoke with Gavin, remade my reservation and sent me a new confirmation. I booked a queen suite. The building was well done but had some misses. Loading and unloading with a cart and ramp can only be done on the North and East Side of the building. The steps on the south and west sides what I would term as steep, handrails are available. Parking is on the west side and is plentiful. The lobby is huge, beautiful and can echo, a man was playing the piano one evening and it was so loud it was almost painful. Check I was easy, key card gets you in the building after hours and will allow you to get to your floor and lobby only. The elevators are small, and I'm assuming original. The dog hated them. My personal opinion is that the carpet in the elevators and floors looks like it needs to be replaced. Our room was on the third floor and our view was of the roof top mechanical / ac units. So very disappointed with that we just lowed the blinds for the entire trip. The beds are low and we had NO bedside tables for glasses or a phone. That said the bed was comfortable enough that I called to ask what kind of mattress they had cause I slept amazingly while there. The kitchen area was nice. Full size fridge with enough bowls, plates, silverware etc... one cup coffee maker and two bottles of crazy water #2 in the room. We never used the stove, microwave worked fine. No ice maker on any of the floors- we asked. If you want ice you have to get it from the front desk. Our room was warm when we got there and played heck catching up. We asked the front desk for a fan and were told they didn't have any. Ended up going to Wal Mart to get a fan to make it reasonable. There was a ceiling fan in the sitting area but not in the bedroom. The full length mirror in the bathroom kept wanting to come down. The room was clean. The couch was not comfortable at all but it was nice that it had two throws to cover with. The TV system was a pain in the but to figure out and there was absolutely nothing in the room to give you a heads up about the hotel, how things worked, restaurant info etc....The business area was well appointed with place to sit and visit or shop. There was nothing horrible but I expected more.

Yelp
My wife and I just got back from spending an evening in Mineral Wells. We stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed our time there. First the good stuff. The hotel was very nice. Our room was basically a one bedroom apartment. It had a kitchen and a dining table. A nice couch and two tv's. The bathroom was nice and spacious. Everything was clean and new. Nothing looked worn. They apparently had a recent remodel. There was a brewery on the first floor and some shops and a coffee shop as well. We went to the brewery after dinner and a guy was singing. We liked the bar. Now for the bad. THE BED! The bed made for a difficult nights rest. The bed laid low to the ground and the mattress sagged toward the middle. It made it really hard to get out of. All in all we would love to stay in this hotel again. The staff was friendly. It was clean. It was quiet. It just didn't have a great bed.

Yelp
A vary fun old hotel made new This is a very interesting hotel with a lot of history. It is obvious they are not done with that as somethings are still under construction. However, that does not attract in any way from the experience. On the main pavilion floor, they have a coffee shop, a brewery and various other shops that are all interesting. The staff is very friendly and helpful and exploring in the building is a great deal of fun the rates are reasonable, and the rooms are well decorated

Yelp
Awesome Hotel with Unique Experience . Love the fact that it's a restored older hotel . The room are family friendly and very clean. Beds are comfortable and the lounge area and kitchen are perfect to relax after a long day. Conveniently located downtown

Sandy R.

Yelp
Room was over priced. The room smelled funky. Linens and furnishings were nice. Beds comfy. There was no kitchenette, frig, nothing. Two queen beds, TV and a bathroom. Street noise was bad but came with Grandkids for the Old Hotel experience, so was able to overlook some negatives. Employees need training. Extremely rude. Never greeted or even received a smile. They were going to charge $11 for a toothbrush at front desk. Even in the gift shop, where we spent $99+ , the lady taking inventory was rude. She made no eye contact or gestures that we were there. What happened to a Good Morning gesture? Girl who checked us out made no "did you find everything ", "Having a good stay", nothing. We were in her way. Yes, I did try to make small talk, it's called Texas friendly. Maybe we weren't high society enough for them. Really sad our Grandkids had this experience to remember about the Crazy Water Hotel.

Yelp
A fantastic touch of old style grandeur in an unexpected location. Traveling through the semi-wilds of North Texas, you'll pass through several fantastically interesting towns straight out of the Old West. Then, as you round a bend to come into Mineral Wells, TX is the surprising sight of the Baker Hotel. A ~20 story building in the middle of nowhere, it's just a taste of what else the town has to offer. While the Baker may not be open for business just yet, the Crazy Water Hotel is, and it is well worth a visit. The building and rooms are clearly old and have that weighty sense of history as you walk through the lobby and the halls to your room, but you still have the comfort of modern conveniences. The rooms are far larger than you'd expect, and are very comfortable. Better than the rooms is the view, though. Ask the staff to let you go to the top floor and spend a little time wandering around enjoying the views in all directions. Wonderful town and a killer hotel.

Yelp
Such a cool historic Hotel! The rooms are comfortable with an "at home" feel. They are suite style with kitchens, a historic feel with modern upgrades. There are unique shops in the spacious Pavilion and a Crazy Water Coffee Bar with all your favorites.. Definitely check it out if you haven't already!

Yelp
The hotel looks old on the outside, but all the renovations make it beautiful inside. Plenty of meeting and conference rooms. We were in a room that was beautifully decorated, and the hotel had a great charcuterie board with excellent choices. If you're in Mineral Wells, check them out!!!

Yelp
My wife and I decided to give this hotel a try for our 8yr anniversary, and we were not disappointed. While the town itself seems to be feeling some growing pains, this hotel seems to have things figured out. The suite was nicely renovated with quality amenities. Everything was clean and well stocked. If we had decided to stay in for meals, the kitchen had everything needed to put together a proper meal. The other guests were very respectful and the entire stay was the quiet peaceful getaway we had hoped for. I would like to thank the staff for maintaining such clean, safe, and quiet property.

Yelp
I just can't say enough great things about this hotel!!! It FAR exceeded our expectations and we LOVED our stay here. This is a hotel originally built in the 1920's (I think) and has been completely renovated. The lobby has several stores including a salon and a coffee bar!! We could spend the whole day here. Our room was smaller at first, but still just LOVELY, and it didn't have a fridge or microwave so we upgraded. We now have a mini apartment complete with 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a living room with a comfy couch, and a kitchen complete with just about everything you'd need! It's clean, and nicely decorated unlike most hotels with overused and outdated rooms. The TV is a bit complicated to operate, and the ice machine is not accessible (just ask the front desk and they'll be happy to get it) but overall we would HIGHLY recommend this diamond in the rough. P.S. the price is very fair as well! We got much more than we paid for

Yelp
Cannot begin to express how amazing the customer service has been during our stay at The Crazy Water Hotel and Plaza! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND, to make sure we were comfortable and had enough spaces for our guests. We will definitely stay here again, may even come back just to relax in this amazing hotel!

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights beginning 3/13/22 ... we had a 2 room suite, one with a king bed and one with a queen, 2 bathrooms, couch and kitchenette ... it was very clean, nice, roomy, new and made you feel right at home ... I believe it's listed as an Air B&B which (no maid service daily, towels or linens changed/bed made) which was fine with us, especially since we were only there for 2 nights ... the 2nd floor of the Crazy Water Hotel opened October 2021 ... if I remember right, the 2 upper floors are apartments ... all 3 rooms had AMAZING blackout blinds!! The Lobby is expansive! They are still doing renovations on the hotel - still need to finish several areas, but everything worked out just fine, except, however, I do wish they had cable TV set up before opening these rooms - we were told it's coming but it's hard to get it for so many rooms (not sure that I understood that explanation by the cleaning staff) but everyone was very friendly and kind ... all the apps were on the TV, you just had to sign in, IF you have those accounts - Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, etc. The little shops inside the Crazy Water Hotel Plaza were open each day, however, many stores there are closed Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday - we wish we had thought of checking into that, but we had a very nice time and enjoyed our girls trip as we found plenty to do and just relaxed in between and had quality time! I would go again, but would want the TV's to have cable next time and would go when ALL the shops in walking distance are open! Enjoy your stay!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Really cool old hotel. With shopping and food options in the same building and close by. Will definitely stay again

Yelp
This is my new favorite hotel in the metroplex. I love the design and decor. The room was so nice and comfortable. Beautiful even! The building was very peaceful and quiet. Will be back!

Yelp
Worst experience ever. There was a party going on they let happen and did not warn anyone. We spent $300 on a room that was mediocre at best. Very inconsiderate and I'll share with everyone to never book here.
