Bottomless brunch 7 days a week? Its a no brainer. The drinks are strong. The decor is....different but I do enjoy the flowers on the table. The food was pretty good (sorry, was ravenous and did not take a pic) and I was over the moon with the drinks. They were strong and flowing. I will definitely come back when I visit home again.

Just visiting & was questioning where I should go to brunch w/ my girlfriend. We settled coming here & it was awesome! Super chill brunch vibe & The bartender Lynn was cool as hell. Great mimosa & food deal. Ask them for a brunch box!!!

My favorite restaurant in town. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the drinks are great, and everything is reasonably priced. The burgers are my favorite, and the nachos are the best snack if you're here with others. Couldn't recommend more!

I had chicken tenders, they were so good. The gentleman who brought me my food looked annoyed when I asked for ketchup. The waitress wasn’t very attentive. Perhaps because there were a lot of people at the bar. She served me one drink and never came back. I would have had a few more drinks but I didn’t like the fact that she didn’t check on me.

My friends and I went after a movie and had vodka sodas. We only planned to have one, but they were so good we ended up having four each. Hands down the swellest vodka soda in NYC.

Really kind staff - fun, social, and extremely accommodating. Excellent bar and beer selection. Breakfast was good. I thought that the bacon was a bit thin/dry (would have loved to see them thick and juicier) and that the toast was just one slice of toast. Would have been great to have 2 slices, some butter (didn't include butter), and an option of white or wheat. Sausages were a bit spicy and crunchy, and the eggs were cooked well. Their cocktails are delicious, so definitely worth coming here for the bar/drinks/beer selection. With slight tweaks to the breakfast, this would be an excellent brunch spot. Will come again.

If you are looking for an after work happy hour in kipps bay that isn't going to rob your pockets then this is it. I have gone here twice and I don't really have any complaints, the servers are nice, bartender made great drinks, and I have to say the environment has a chill tone to it. After working at the hospital and have a long day I can sit back and enjoy myself here. They also have a great selection of food for people like me who don't consume meat. The food is good all around.

We came to this location after West Village closed and honestly Tara & George made it worth the extra travel. They were so welcoming and attentive to our table. The food was so good and they made sure our table had everything we needed at all times. Can't wait to come back

They claim to close at 2a but the kitchen actually closes at 10p. They also changed their lighting to something bright and unflattering. Strange vibe here overall. Sketchy / sleazy crowd and dismissive staff.

Great local spot! Lots of bar and table seating. Great relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff and fast service. The burger and the seafood pasta are the standouts of the menu. Great value for the price! They also have lots of beers on tap.

It's a nice spot, but the food and drinks are definitely a little overpriced for the setting- not sure if it wants to be a dive or something more elevated, but it's worth checking out for sure.

Honestly this place is hit or miss depending on how busy they are. The menu is very limited. Ckin sandwich is very good. But the French onion soup is terrible. My beer was flat. The bartender didn't bring me silverware or napkins so I eventually got my own. Avoid the craziness of the bottomless brunch. It's a zoo.

Dropped in for lunch on a Friday. We reserved a table for a large group, the table was set and ready when we got there. Has a nicer interior than I expected- sort of an old school feel. We ordered an assortment of different main dishes. I opted for the burger. It wasn't bad, but similar to a burger you can get at most bars. My friend ordered a chicken parm that was undercooked and another friend didnt receive their meal until right before we left which was unfortunate. The service was good but I think they were a bit overwhelmed with the amount of orders that went in at the same time.

The Crooked Knife was definitely worth it. The food was pretty great and the unlimited mimosas were even better.

In the area for an appointed, we came here after since we wanted something to eat. Drinks , water & coke not bad. On the food I had a Avocado chicken sandwich , sandwich was very good nice taste comes with fries they were nice & fresh, decent fries. Hubby had a Steak sandwich also w fries, good sandwich as well. Small place, comfy seating we had a good lunch.

If you wanna great fish and chips, malt vinegar, truffle chips, three big pieces of flaky, white fish, unbelievably flaky and flavorful. This is the place to go without a doubt their nachos are great. Add some chicken burgers great but I had the fish and chips tonight you may pay a bit more but undeniably,, great fish and chips

Incredibly excited to be one of the first reviews for this soon-to-be Kips Bay Gem!! Food: 5 Drinks: 3.5 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Value: 5 We live in the area and saw that a new Crooked Knife had replaced the existing neighborhood pub, so decided to check it out on a Sunday night. I came in with average expectations, but was excited by the (great) prices of around $15 an entree. For Sunday night at an off-peak time, the food was very good and well worth the visit. My burger (medium) was cooked perfectly with a pink thread in the middle, the cheese was freshly melted, and the fries were crispy and seasoned well. The fish and chips my friends got were quite good if a bit under salted, and the Mac and cheese was solid for its value. Notably, my friend's medium-well burger was slightly but certainly more browned than mine, and I appreciate that attention to detail on a Sunday night when we were starving and would've been happy with anything. Drinks were solid; I ordered a cocktail that could've had either a bit more sweetness or kick, but was still enjoyable. Service was excellent, and Justin entertained us with his humor for our entire visit. The new decor looks beautiful and upleveled compared to the prior restaurant just a few months ago, and it has a chill, friendly neighborhood feeling. And finally, I have to assert how great value this was -- I love a great burger and fries, and while I've had fancy ones before (thank you, Au Cheval), this was probably the best-value burger I've had in NYC. Even better, bacon comes included! While this new place deserves all the love, hopefully it doesn't get too popular just yet...otherwise I have to make a reservation rather than just strolling downstairs to go! Will be back for lunch and brunch and can't wait.

We hit this place up on a Thursday evening, light crowd. Loud music, typical for a bar... but hard to talk or hear in there. We were ordering dinner and beer after our long flight into the city. There fish & chips sounded like a winner, and I was not disappointed. Killer crispy skins on fries. Perfect! Fish super crispy outside, flaky and moist on this inside... done just right. Couldn't finish it all, it's a hearty plate of food. My husband's burger also looked quite substantial and since there was nothing left I'd presume it was just as delicious. Close to my cousin's so that also made it a no brainer for us to walker over too. Definitely if you're in the vicinity it's worth a spot in and check. Nice/friendly server too.

Tara was an absolute gem !!! I came with my sister and best friends for a sunday brunch and she made our experience so great. She was attentive, got our order spot on, and so so kind. George also helped us throughout our brunch and was so so great! He made us feel just at home. We decided to make this a weekly spot. Great experience because of great people!!!! I was surprised at how good the food was . Went with a group of people and we all enjoyed our meals and the service was great .

We grabbed a quick drink here before a movie at the AMC Theater next door. I was immediately (and happily) taken aback by the fact that a cocktail is only $11, but there was a premium charge for Maker's in the old fashioned so it ended up being closer to $16 (the bartender asked if I wanted it with Maker's, not mentioning the surcharge). I wonder what kind of bourbon they would have used in the base cocktail since Maker's isn't exactly top shelf. I would have been fine with the price except that it didn't really taste like an old fashioned at all (read: was not very good). But service was quick and friendly.

Fantastic Irish pub. On Thanksgiving, our meal there was exceptionally good. They got everything right. The traditional turkey dinner was so good as was the salmon, for the non turkey eaters, Very good pumpkin pie--Excellent value on bottle of wine. Loved being there.

Great location that opened relatively recently. Went for brunch and the food was good and the vibes were solid. Prices were fair. Place seems to be crowded frequently so looks like they're doing a great job at a location that has a lot of opportunity. 3.5 round up to 4

Excellent pot pie, fabulous short ribs with the best mashed potatoes in town. The calamari was spot on! Love the 70s/80s chill music vibes. Great beer selection, clean and fresh renovations from the historic frame. Large TVs to watch basketball and relax at the end of a long day! Love being regulars here, this is our spot!

Beer on draft is usually flat. Nice staff. Foods ok. Mixed drinks might be good. Don't know

This place is fantastic. Great ambiance, excellent service , well priced and most of all the food was top notch! The French toast was divine. All 12 of us had a great time. They take reservations and is an excellent location.

got a take out order from here and the $12 mozzarella sticks came like this. i asked the bartender and she goes of he was seeing if they're cooked. i feel an order shouldn't come ripped apart just to see if something is cooked. i was clearly upset and she just laughed. so now i'm just eating loose cheese and breading. ridiculous. would've been nice to have the option to remake them. i guess i should just be thankful they didn't rip apart all the other items of my order to "check if they were cooked"

It's a fun place. Loud music & lively patrons. Good experiences at other locations, but the dishes at 2nd Avenue place were below par. Red Hot omelette came with no jalapeños. CK breakfast with overcooked eggs & dry sausage. They serve something they call a mimosa, but not really. French toast was great. Excellent service overall.

Dropped by on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner w a friend. Chose outside seating because the weather was really nice. We each had the house burger and a beer. Everything was great- bacon was crispy delicious, had ordered my burger medium rare (I know, why would anyone do that at a bar but they never come out actually medium rare). My burger came out medium-ish, no pink at all... I was pretty content with the meal, beer, and service --except after leaving the restaurant and on our walk down to the lower east side I was hit by sudden excruciating stomach pain and the urge to use the bathroom. I almost couldn't hold it in- ran into a bar to use their bathroom... then had to go again within two blocks of that bar and used the bathroom at another bar. There could be no other explanation for the sudden onset of explosive diarrhea and excruciating stomach pain other than the food I had at Crooked Knife, since I hadn't eaten anything else that day (thus the early dinner) and was fine before hand. The meat appeared to be cooked through so I don't think it was the burger patty? My friend had the same order but had gotten his burger medium and thankfully, he didn't get sick at all. Maybe it was the lettuce/tomato. I imagine it couldn't have been the fries or the beer? Uncomfortable stomach issues aside, I am not opposed to giving the place another chance. The rating really would have been closer to somewhere between a 4 and 5 star, except the discomfort of explosive diarrhea and near not making it to the bathroom in time while outside was quite unnerving, and while outdoor seating was great, it took a bit of adjusting to the smell of trash and whatever rotting/molding green stuff was a few feet away from their outdoor seating area.

There's something really special about having a bottomless Bloody Mary brunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon at this location--it could be the swanky seating, or the all American rustic interior decor, or the perfectly poached eggs Benedict, or the general good vibes, or it could also be the energy radiating from the swanky, all American, perfectly styled, damn good looking staff by the name of George and Ross that made our bloody marys extra spicy. Iykyk. 5 stars for TCK. And for George.

This is the newest bar in the Crooked Knife family. Just a few blocks from CK30 it's easily accessible on second avenue and close to AMC and the hospitals on First Ave. Big TVs for any game and plenty of beverages to choose from. Highly recommend for bottomless brunch or a night out for drinks.

Had a reservation for a party of 8. All 8 of us enjoyed our meals. Mostly breakfast plates. Wife and sister-in-law enjoyed the mimosas. Great service, great atmosphere. Server was very attentive and friendly. All around great experience and will be back.

Bartender working tonight's shift was extremely rude. I tried to order some food but he ignored me for at least 10 mins. The bar hardly had any people and was not busy. Then asks me "you good?" after 10 mins of waiting. Doesn't care about customers and the restaurant's business.

This was our first time at crooked knife and we had such a great time. Our server, George was so friendly and accommodating. We went with two children and four adults for brunch and he was so patient with us. (Each of us ordered different entrees and the fried chicken sandwich was definitely a fan favorite.) The bartender, John made us some delicious cocktails. Passion fruit martini was YUM-MMEE! We will definitely be returning for another fun brunch!

Went for Sunday brunch. Great food, charming staff, very cute decor. I guess we were lucky that an alleged party of 19 never materialized (to those people: shame on you for flaking, you Ps of S!), but the vibe was quiet and relaxed.

Not the place if you're looking for a quick bite. We popped in Friday at lunchtime and it took more than 45 minutes to get our food (a burger and Mac n cheese), with no communication at all from anyone in the restaurant about the status. We sat outside and nobody brought us water or asked if we wanted drinks. When the food arrived, the kitchen has messed up the order. The food looked like it might have been good but we weren't going to wait another 45 minutes to find out.

We had some time to kill before our movie at the AMC theatre across the street and ducked in out of the snow flurries to get warm. Such a comfortable place - we sat at the bar and had a glass of wine and some great cooked-to-order sweet potato fries. The staff was very friendly. The food on the tables around us looked delicious. We will definitely be back for a meal. I'm guessing this is a neighborhood favorite. Highly recommend!
