The Crumpet Shop is Pike Place Market's best quick breakfast - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"For a quick breakfast at Pike Place Market, substantial options are few and far between. And sometimes, the occasion doesn't call for several sticks of butter disguised as a "croissant," or a 9am cup of Beecher's mac and cheese. That's where The Crumpet Shop comes in. Their namesake cousin to the english muffin is equal parts bouncy and crunchy, with holes that catch every tasty topping from pesto and ricotta to raspberry preserves. Skip the questionable glass case at that Downtown coffee shop and swing here instead. Food Rundown Egg, English Cheese, & Ham It doesn't sound like much—some scrambled eggs and melted cheese with a slab of ham on a crumpet. But the power of soft, eggy curds and good quality pork goes a long way. A great savory option. Maple Butter If you're in a sweet mood, the combination of sticky maple butter and a lightly crisp crumpet really hits the spot. Just beware of accidental tilting—this thing is drippier than a malfunctioning sink faucet. Pesto, Ricotta, & Tomato The balance between earthy pesto and swipes of mild ricotta makes this one the best of the bunch. Plus, tomato for freshness." - Aimee Rizzo

On the Grid : The Crumpet Shop

"Family owned and operated, the Crumpet shop is one of our favorite indulgences. The dad cooks while the mom and kids run the counter and provide the mood. Their ingredients are organic and their crumpets are other-worldly! From savory to sweet, this tiny shop in Pike Place Market is affordable, fresh, and delicious." - Parker

The 27 Best Restaurants & Bars At Pike Place Market

"A crumpet is kind of like an english muffin with a bunch of holes in it. If you’ve never had one, let your first be from The Crumpet Shop. You can choose from sweet toppings like butter and fruit preserves, or savories like pesto and ricotta. There’s no wrong choice, unless you have trypophobia." - aimee rizzo

Seattle’s Best Tea Shops | Eater Seattle

"For nearly 50 years this old-timey crumpet bakery has been holding down a corner of Pike Place Market. Are you going to get a crumpet if you come here? Yes, and not just because “crumpet” is a fun word to say. But you should take the time to grab a tea here too. Given that crumpets are the English-est breakfast food this side of tomatoes and beans, it’s no surprise that the black tea here is a lot more flavorful than the sad bagged stuff sold at many coffee shops. You get free refills too, in case you want to linger over your Mickey Rourke (a crumpet with jalapenos, ham, cheese, cream cheese, and egg)." - Dylan Joffe
