The Daily Beer Bar Opening Soon in Downtown Durham - Eater Carolinas

"The Daily Beer Bar, a new project from beer writer and bartender John Paradiso and his wife and UNC PhD student Rosa, will serve much more than beer. Designed as an all-day cafe, it will function as a coffeeshop in the morning with hot and cold drinks served by Yonder Coffee in Raleigh and pastries from local bakeries. At lunchtime, 'the Daily' will switch to more of a deli vibe with 'a simple sandwich and salad menu,' with an array of beer and wine taking center stage before the day’s end." - Eric Ginsburg

I love the atmosphere, everything is so cute! The girl was really kind and took our order nicely. I tried the blueberry danish and made it hot with chai latte! Delicious!! Sandwich with chips and cappuccino. The place is cozy!

Such a cool coffee and beer spot! We spoke with the owners, a lovely couple who really know a thing or two about beer. The coffee we tried was also delicious. I had the Goat and Fig sandwich and my partner had the grilled cheese with the pepper jelly. Both were delicious and the portions were very generous!

The Daily Beer Bar is open in the morning as a coffee shop. They offer Ninth Street Bakery goodies and a variety of coffee drinks. Try their their tonic espresso.

The Daily is our (me + my husband's) favorite spot in Durham. The owners make a strong effort to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that is truly unique. The staff are also super friendly. We've found The Daily to be good for both working with a coffee+croissant and for relaxing with a pint+sandwich. It's a community spot with great ambience and delicious coffee and beer. Check out their Instagram page for frequent events like the Wednesday run/bike clubs or a paint and sip with a local artist (@graywillcreative)!

Great new bar / coffee shop in downtown Durham! The atmosphere is nice, beer is good, and food is delicious (highly recommend the fig + goat cheese sandwich!). Would definitely recommend.

So comfy, such good music, food and drinks. The menu and dining/drinking/working experience has been so thoughtfully laid out, and it’s a lovely, cozy place to pass a few hours. The location is really helpful as well, with the parking garage around the corner and DPAC close by.

Excellent service with phenomenal coffee and a delicious short menu. Very interesting array of craft beers as well as great non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails. Nice place to meet friends.

Without a doubt, I crave Yonder Coffee & Tbe Daily Beer Bar every single Monday. Best sandwiches, snacks, and matcha. It’s basically my equivalent of craving Chick Fil A on a Sunday.

Yelp
Food: sandwich was flavorful Service: quick and friendly Ambiance: perfect for getting shit done/wifi Kristina is the coolest barista in town and made the smoothest cappuccino that I've ever had. Their food also rocks. Excited to come back and try other options on their menu

Yelp
Atmosphere: The Daily Beer Bar is a unique cafe and bar in downtown Durham. The interior exudes coziness with its exposed brick walls, greenery, and playful accent colors. Just be aware that the music can get pretty loud, so it may not the best choice for a focused work session. Service: The service is consistently quick and efficient, with the baristas bringing your drink right to your table. Food: We've had the chance to try their Hot Matcha Latte and Daily Coffee. Unfortunately, the matcha didn't quite hit the mark. The sweetener used in it tasted artificial, and the matcha flavor didn't shine through. The drip coffee was decent but didn't stand out as anything special. Overall: The Daily Beer Bar is undeniably an adorable spot that combines the charm of a cafe with the convenience of a bar. However, our experience with their drinks left us wanting more. We hope to give some of their other drinks a try with hopes of having a better experience, as we love their ambiance.

Yelp
Fantastic cafe and lunch spot!! I stumbled upon this place after the library was too crowded but I needed somewhere to plug in my laptop and work. I sat at the bar and enjoyed getting a little view of the magic happening behind the counter as I worked. Really reasonably priced food, this whole sandwich and salad with tasty quality ingredients was only $11 and my iced tea not pictured was $3. Would definitely return if I find myself in the area again because they had so many drinks I want to try!

Yelp
I've been to the Daily Beer Bar twice and really enjoyed the vibe both times. You order at the bar (either the counter or actual bar) and then there are tables in the front and couches in the back. The environment both times I went was very laid back and the service was friendly (with excellent music selections). The first time I went was on a Sunday midday and there were a lot of people working on their laptops and I also went on a Friday night where it was mostly people having dinner. Both times there were families with kids so it is easy family friendly despite being a bar. It was not crowded on a Friday night so it's a good place to keep in mind when other places downtown are packed. Both times the food has been great (simple but hearty sandwiches)-- the pastry selection looks delicious as well. I look forward to trying their charcuterie board and other snacks. My only complaint is that while my beverages have been good, both times they were pretty expensive (draft beer and mimosa for $10 each, which was almost as much as my food). I should also mention they have a NA fridge full of options (as well as coffee). My other small complaint is that despite being named "The Daily Beer Bar" it is not in fact open daily (they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays FYI).

Yelp
What an amazing place! When you walk in, you'll be greeted by the most friendly staff, known to man! The open floor plan, and well decorated space is warm and inviting. This is a great place for a cup of coffee in the morning, or a Goat & Fig sandwich for lunch-- which I recommend enjoying with prosciutto. The salty prosciutto was an excellent compliment to the the perfectly paired goat cheese and sweet fig jam. The DRAM sparkling water was so yummy and refreshing. Do try one! Any flavor!

Yelp
We've actually been here three times in the past few weeks: once when accidentally just stumbling on it when walking around downtown Durham, once when we wanted a drink and bite when our power was out at home, and once for a private event with Offline Raleigh/Durham. All three times we had interesting drinks, good food, and pleasant conversations with the owners, staff and fellow patrons. They offer coffee in the morning, baked goods from various local vendors, light bites and sandwiches, and also bottles and gifts to go. We enjoyed their bread and hummus, turkey melt, and unique selection of beer and cider. One evening, we had their cake and beer pairing (yule log and a stout) and that was wonderful. The vibe is very relaxed and friendly, and there were a few families with young kids. We will be back.

Yelp
Cute place. They have wifi and plenty of electrical outlets. I got the chickpea salad. Service was friendly and quick.

Yelp
A total delight (at any time of day) in downtown Durham! The friendly staff, a high-quality, satisfying menu, and a unique, thoughtful selection of beverages cannot be missed. The hummus is a must, in the sandwich (pictured) and on the side (also pictured). Inferno and Paradiso sammies were also fantastic, and the side salads are just what I want a side salad to be. Also, the music is excellent.

Yelp
Good peoples, lovely hours, and solid/needed concept. Good variety of non-alchoholic (+ alcoholic ) drink options. Food is ok - I had the grilled cheese which was not quite as flavorful as I had expected (but it was not bad) and the side salad was good. WiFi was good and I was able to take a call from here. The atmosphere is spartan yet friendly with exposed brick and pendant lights. Nice array of seating options including tables, high tops, couches in the back, and a couple bar seats up front. Not too crowded the couple times I have been here. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great drinks and food. Lots of seating, decent prices. Good curated beer and wine selection. My husband doesn't drink alcohol and they had a good mocktail selection. Yummy sandwiches! We'll come back for sure. Chill place to hang out.

Yelp
Great new spot in downtown Durham! Excellent selection of unique beers you can't get anywhere else around here (plus wine, kombucha, etc) and super friendly staff. Tasty food too - I got a sandwich to go for "later", but it looked so good I ended up finishing it in the car on the way home.
