This place has such a nice vibe and great coffee. My favorite neighborhood café. I come here to get some work done and just relax. They have WiFi, books, and smooth jazz playing. Their pastries are surprisingly good. They make them fresh every morning. The Almond Croissant is my fave. The coffee is also good. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Overall, my experience here has been pleasant.

what you wish every other coffee shop in new york was. the others can’t achieve it because they lack the most important ingredient- charm. this place offers a nice atmosphere with fast wifi, decent food, good coffee that’s relatively affordable. no time limit on your stay, you can work out of here all day (please buy multiple coffees or food as a courtesy if you do though support this spot!!) and they support local artists through community events. they turn into a cool bar at night they has a good vibe. this place is what “Nook” is going for but can’t achieve for the life of them.

The coffee here always tastes fresh, it smells inviting, I am never disappointed with a bagel and cream cheese here. The staff with special mention to Ceven are cool, and remember regulars. Much like all night skate they embrace the lgbtiaq and black experience and incorporate it into the atmosphere in a way that is comfortable, relaxing, and inviting. They are clearly supported by the local community as all of the books are donated and the activity board has local events changed out by guests. If you ever swing by pick up a book, grab a coffee and take a seat. It won't take you long to understand the local vibe Constructive criticism -- I wish these guys curated their community cork board themselves -- awesome possibilities there

Great vibe, reminded me of a West Coast coffee shop. I had an herbal tea, it was perfect.

Had a great time here today with a friend. A great work environment with plenty of outlets, natural light (even on a rainy day like today), and a great playlist going. Music wasn’t too loud to be distracting. Attached is the cool system they have that displays what the artist and song that is playing (the super cool system is $3.2k avail on MoMa website just fyi). Staff were very helpful and friendly! We got tea + hot chocolate. We also got tacos which were super affordable and yummy. We felt safe as 2 bipoc queer individuals. The gender neutral bathroom was bigger than most nyc bathrooms, and it was clean. I look forward to going back! Also big bonus is that there are some books and many games!!!! I saw cards against humanity, exploding kittens, banana grams, chess, and several more!

It’s a nice place to meet someone and have lunch and convo. The atmosphere is not too lively as it’s a coffee shop, but you are able to converse in peace. The food options are prettt solid. I didn’t go to eat, so i only got the iced caramel coffee and it was made well. My date got pancakes and a chia drink, the pancakes were well made. All in all, a solid experience.

Pretty big and chill vibes! We fit a group of 7 friends meeting up after a while. I ordered the nog fog tea which was cool and a bagel with cream cheese which was 50% off since it was around 4pm. We played a fee of their many board games and had a good time! At 5pm they switched from cafe to bar which was cool

Truly solid spot in Ocean Hill area of Bed-Stuy. Their coffee is from Variety coffee, I particularly enjoyed their cold brew. The baked goods were very fresh and I loved the cookie with oatmeal, chocolate chips, coconut and pecans. The baristas were friendly and quickly moved through a long Friday morning rush. Thank you for a cozy coffee spot!

Was in the neighborhood and in dire need of caffeine on a fairly warm day. I ordered an iced cappuccino for myself and an iced coffee for my other half. The space is open and modern and the lady who took my order (and made my drinks) seemed friendly. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the beans they used. The aroma and flavors that I seek in coffee just weren't there and they were way too light for the both of us. Bummer

Latte is on point. Can't wait to try the lavender latte when it becomes available. The ladies working here are nice and have a wonderful customer service. The vibes here are full of books aesthetics, reading, and antique designs. It makes you want to get lost in thoughts and get some serious work done. Love it and I definitely will make this my go-to spot in Brooklyn.

This is a neighborhood spot which is really cool. They serve coffee & libations. The music is pumping & the staff is nice too. When you walk in there is seating on both sides until the bar area. Ppl are lounging with their laptops. Definitely giving cafe vibes. To the back is a stage where karaoke is performed. The bar is to the left. Ordered a drink at as I waited for someone. Outside food is permitted by the way! All in all it's a cute vibe with a lot of hospitality.

Friendly service, I got the iced cortado it was delicious they have agave and simple syrup on the side that you can add on your own or they have a selection of flavored shots that you pay up for if you like. They also have alternative milk options there is a cute little bar at the back that serves alcohol I'm not sure at what time though

THIS IS MY FAVORITE BAR IN ALL OF NEW YORK. It is LITERALLY a second home! All who come are made to feel like a part of a community. It's a great place to network, and work during the day, and a great place to let loose/connect with friends at night. They make a killer matcha latte by day during cafe hours, and a great "Tea-quila Sour" cocktail by night during bar hours! Lots of different events throughout the week like Chess Night on Mondays, Open Mic Night on Wednesdays, and Karaoke on Fridays, and Trivia Night twice a month on Saturdays! The community at DP has been my saving grace over the years in this tough city, I truly appreciate this space, the bartenders and the owner are so welcoming, and I will forever be a regular here.

TLDR: amazing options for food & drink, perfect ambience for working, studying, or socializing! prices are pretty reasonable considering they have a lot of local products. super friendly and helpful staff! walked by here the other day and thought, i really needed to stop by here to get some work done. finally got the chance to come today to get work done, and i have nothing to say but WOW! the place is perfectly located super close to where i live in an otherwise pretty quiet ocean hill, and not only that, it's probably one of the best cafe spaces i've ever been to in terms of a cozy environment. it was a gorgeous sunny day, and not only do they have outdoor seating, but they keep the windows open so you can get sunlight and lots of fresh air. so many times that i go to cafes, i'm left with having to sit outside (where my computer could get overheated and with no chargers around) or feel cooped up inside, especially on a nice day like today! so this was exactly what i was looking for. they have bathrooms, free wi-fi, a little library of books to take to read, games, printer, community board, and so much more. my review alone doesn't do this place justice. now, as for the food, YUM! the vegan burrito is really great, and check out their HUGE hot sauce collection for their burritos! note that they're pre-made, so you're not able to customize them unfortunately (the vegetarian one that egg-based comes with cheese, so if you have an allergy or avoid dairy, the vegan one would be the only option). they were unfortunately out of bagels (my first choice) for today, but i'm hoping next time i come, they have some! i also ordered their pomegranate green tea, which wasn't my favorite because it wasn't as strong as i'd like it, but i'll definitely return for another flavor and some coffee! they also offer chamomile, hibiscus, and lavender syrup! super unique and fun! the staff here is SUPER friendly, some of the most friendly baristas i've interacted with within brooklyn/manhattan, which is such an added plus! they also have lots of events (and also has a book club that they just started), which is SUPER exciting for me as a local of the area. so glad i came across this place. a little unclear whether there's been ownership recognition, but the staff registered for union membership last november after facing significant schedule cuts amongst other concerns. to me, as a customer, it feels like the absolutely correct move that the workers should have more ownership over their labor and work environment, and the place should be as inviting/welcoming to its staff as they are to the customers!

Great space! A local favorite of mine. I always order an iced chai or a lemonade. The staff is great and attentive. I have no complaints!

I decided to check this place out to work at ok a Friday afternoon. It's hard finding a cafe where you don't feel weird pulling out your laptop. I have my 2 go to places in Queens but I'll def be adding this to my list. It's very airy and the music is on point (mostly rnb that day). They also had a board on the wall that updated when the song changed. It was so creative. There are table lined up against the wall and they were all pretty much occupied but it didn't feel crowded. I ordered an iced chai latte which tasted like any other chai. They seem to have small food/pastries here to but I didn't try any of them. I would say I recommend this place to work/study from but I don't want this place to get too crowded. So I "won't" recommend it lol

I'm really sad because I love my local coffee shop (great coffee, bagels, pastries, friendly staff) but ever sense they started delivery service the wait has been extremely slow- I think this was the 3rd morning I've had to walk out empty handed or I would have missed my train :(

My first time here and I must say I will be back more often. I visited here to use the printing machine (which is btw very easy to use). The best part of my visit though was Alex. She was the barista/cashier on duty and greeted me with a "hello" and smile. Before even asking for help she offered help, which was above and beyond. I know this may seem corny but THANK YOU Alex for starting my day with a smile and a watermelon/peach tea lol

This place is awesome! I have been there in the morning for coffee and bagels, and in the evening for drinks and games with friends

Solid coffee and bar spot that I love to regularly visit. Staff is friendly and extremely competent. If it wasn't for the people working here I would just go to another spot. Perfect example of customer service drawing regulars.

Good place to get a cup of coffee and do so some work or get a drink with friends. Good beer selection and cocktails, there's always events. I've had better coffee in my life but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. Super friendly staff as well. One of my favorite places!

I found this spot after using Google to find a cafe that was large enough and has Wi-Fi. It was fairly easy to find there's no parking lot so you have to park on the street. Inside is very spacious and they have a small soundstage for performances. The service sucked however. I wasn't greated. I let the server know it was my first time and it was shrugged off. I asked for a coffee recommendation and didn't get one. As far the food and drink. They do have a small bar. I order an apple turnover pastry and a vanilla Latte. They we're both good. My guest, a female didn't get better service when she went to order a food and get a recommendation. I won't be back that's for sure. It would have been nice for the server to be more welcoming and accommodating. It didn't help when tue servee placed my coffee in front of two other female patrons and went to grab it from them when I asked about my latte after 13 minutes.

The breakfast burrito is EVERYTHING!!! So tasty and a very substantial portion. Has definitely been added to my rotation.

The caramel latte is great. The feng shui is great. The staff are friendly, and adorbs. I love that it's open late so I could work as late as I want to here. Definitely wouldn't mind this being my spot while I'm in town

I was in Brooklyn visiting a friend for her birthday and we stopped here. I ordered the Chai tea with soy milk. I really enjoyed my drink it was just perfect !! The customer service here exceeded my expectations. Everyone was very friendly and helpful !! The atmosphere is vintage and quiet. a great space to do some homework or office work, if you want to get out of the house. Very comfortable space. I'll definitely be returning whenever i'm in town again. The pricing here is low cost. I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone who is in need of good atmosphere and great coffee drinks.

Looking for a change of scenery from your place with WiFi and expresso? Daily Press is your spot. Totally unsuspecting to have a cool cafe in the Ocean Hill area of Brooklyn. As a born and raised Brooklyn girl, I say this with all due respect but Daily Press has made the corner of Rockaway and Somers shi shi. Not sure this neighborhood previously offered coffee just liquor, but it is a surprising yet welcomed addition. The space is beautiful with its exposed brick and large opening bay windows. I sat sipping on a skim mocha latte in a cute ceramic cup listening to Ska music. Love. The stapled breakfast egg and cheese burrito was good but could have been slightly bigger for my preference but it was tasty. I am giving it only three stars because of a few qualms I had. The butter seemed to be unsalted. Don't make decisions on my health. Give me the unhealthy stuff, thanks. My latte didn't have enough of a caffeinated kick. It was mild and they could probably use a stronger bean. I would make another visit because I love a clean space and an engaging staff (older gentleman).

This coffee shop was across from a friend's Airbnb so we stopped in for a quick cup before heading out to Manhattan. The cafe is quite spacious for NYC, with lots of tables and seating available. Looks like a good place to stay for a while if you need to get some work done, or just to relax. I actually ended up getting a kombucha from their cooler, but my friend got an iced coffee to go. The staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. I would have liked to stay longer inside, but we had some errands to run. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Brooklyn, though!

Love having Daily Press in the neighborhood! The service and the food are both amazing! It's hard to decide if I like the coffee or the hot chocolate best, but I know hands down the bagels top the chart for food options.

Hello I wanted to let u know that over all the place is very nice along with the workers there . But the manager that was there today Wednesday. This was at 3:00pm. I was getting my my drink and he just came up on me and started talking very very rude he didn't know if I was having a bad day or not. I go get my drink not to have a man in my face . Than tells me what I am drinking. overall a very nice place but the manger a jerk

This place was down the street from our AirBnB. I got an apple turnover and their maple tea latte drink. Boyfriend got an Americano-ish drink and a waffle. He thought the waffle was dense. I wasn't all that impressed with my apple turnover flavor wise and it lacked filling, but it was very flaky and I liked that a lot. I wished my tea latte had been a tad bit sweeter considering there was a shot of maple in it. The shop itself is nice and quiet. I like that they had cider on draft that day, but we didn't come back to try it. It's interesting for me to see a shop like this in Bedstuy as a few years ago, a coffee shop like this wouldn't be open. I grew up in Bedstuy, so I didn't really know what to expect when this popped up on Yelp. It was a nice breakfast we had before going to my family's home for the day. I would be interested to see what their nightlife is like as when we were leaving, more people showed up than when we first walked in around 9ish or so.

The coffee was great, the service was fast, the bagels were awesome, the space was ample, the wifi was free and fast, the restroom was clean, the staff was friendly...my only concern was that some staff and many customers were not wearing masks and considering the high spike in positive covid results recently due to the omicron variant- I would have expected people to mask up.

Found this little gem, not too far from my home. Staff is laidback and kind. They have Friday Karaoke if you want to grace a stage. Daily Press will definitely be my new neighbor spot.

Cute coffee shop that's not overly crowded with decent food. Food- 3.25 Taste: 3 Presentation: 3.5 Atmosphere/Aesthetic- 4 Service- 4 Price/Value- 3.5 The burritos are big! Tad expensive though. ($7) The pastries and bagels aren't that fresh. Not baked in their shop at least. I got the Gluten-Free Cheddar Apple Scone ($3) and a plain bagel ($1.50). I like that they have a lot of options of bagels, but they're not as good as bagels at NYC places like Bagel Bobs. The scone was very underwhelming. I'd honestly give it 2 stars. But the coffee and burritos here are better than their scones I suppose. What I really liked was the kind service, the fact that you can hold community events here, and it's not too popular, so it's actually a quiet environment you can work in. There's also plenty of space, so you're not too close to the other tables.

The service is very cold and unfriendly. I've been there several times and upon greeting the staff "hello" or saying "thank you" or "have a nice day" I have never been acknowledged. Today a colleague came with me and made a comment about how rude the staff was confirming my thoughts. Looking forward to another coffee shop opening up in the neighborhood soon so I can take my business to where they're friendly to the patrons.

I just ordered single shot espresso and the coffee beans are so strong and robust. The staff is friendly and greeted me with a smile. Anytime I get an espresso from a coffee shop I always ask for seltzer water and they had no problem providing that for me. The seltzer was Saratoga water and that's my favorite seltzer. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and excited to try this cafecito. The atmosphere is coming with the sounds of the great Macy Gray radio playing in the background and tons of natural light spewing in from all of the large windows. It feels like I can get a lot of work done here. The perfect place to bring your laptop and just get cozy and do your work.

I was touring an apartment in the area and waited here while the agent finished up a previous viewing. The entire staff was extremely nice and friendly. This place made me fall in love with the neighborhood and excited to move to BK after being a lifelong Queens resident. Def try the mojitea. Doesn't taste like a mojito on the first sip but the after taste is the same. They infuse the mint into the liquor themselves!

Update: I met Michael, the owner of this coffee shop, and it was clear that he is open to feedback and working to make this a place that meets the needs of people in this community. Michael is open to suggestions and also opening up his space/renting out his space for events. For instance, I attended a Karaoke Brunch from 6-9 on Cinqo de Mayo organized by a member of the community and there was a book signing held there the following day. If you are interested in having this space represent you or people like you in the neighborhood, I would recommend speaking to Michael and working with him to help bring your ideas to life. I really wanted to give this place a chance & was really hoping it would be a great neighborhood coffee shop since it is so close. I visited on the opening day and read up about the coffee shop online and how they try to highlight the history of the community. Unfortunately it turned out to be a gentrification cafe that does not take into account anything from the surrounding neighborhood. They sell Daily Press Bed-Stuy merchandise in a neighborhood called Ocean Hill by any of its long term inhabitants. In a neighborhood that is 85% Black & 2% white (according to the last census), all of the people who I have seen work there are white along with about 90% of the customers I have seen patronize the shop. In a neighborhood where the median household income was last reported at around $27,000, they sell coffee for $3-$5 & charge $7-8 for a breakfast burrito. There doesn't seem to be any real attempt at connecting to and catering to the needs/culture/history of the majority of the people in this neighborhood, as though they are just holding out hope that gentrification will speed up soon. I have seen gentrification run rampant throughout Brooklyn over the years and this is always how it begins...profit over community. In addition to these concerns, I also had health concerns. I was served coffee and noticed that all of the milk/cream was left out on the counter unrefrigerated. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and noticed that they used spreaders that already had cream cheese/butter/etc. on them without even rinsing or wiping them in between uses. I have decided that I will pass on this place and take a longer walk over to a true neighborhood coffee shop (Bread Love) unless I see a big change.

This spot is cozy, close by to train, and plays cool music. The staff are nice and willing to accommodate you. This spot is great for meeting up with friends for coffee and if you want to chill. The only thing i didnt like was their coffee, sorry... (thus the reason for the 4 star) but everyone's taste is different. Also had a crossaint sandwich that was pretty good and they will heat up for you per your request. But i highly recommend to anyone living in brownsville, bed-stuy and east new york area.. really cool spot!

Their coffee is delicious and never bitter. The bathroom is clean and doesn't have that moist, moldy feeling you get in some coffee shop bathrooms. There are tons of USB chargers in addition to three prong chargers and they have fu***ng delicious jelly doughnuts. OMG WHY AM I NOT THERE RIGHT NOW?!

I am so happy this place is in my neighborhood. Besides great coffee and delightful employees, the space is comfortable and wifi is fast. I can sit here all day because of the amazing atmosphere and friendly service. I have met many people from my neighborhood who otherwise I would not run into. This is my favorite spot to get coffee before I hop on the train. I highly recommend it.

This coffee spot in Brooklyn is very cute with some good cold brew and coffee but you gotta get there early if you want any of the pastries. The overall ambiance of the place is great for studying or to chill out in the morning.

This is the perfect place to take a breath, this área needed a business like this; they are open early with options to eat In the morning and now they are open until 12pm with a variety of drink menu, excellent music, and employees like Andy with a great service and attitude. Excellent staff, great local events that they host! I only arrive to study, and get work done late night. Would be great if they added healthy food options to the menu, but you can eat before arriving because they have great cocktails or coffee :)

This is a magical spot in the city. With its big windows filling the coffee shop with natural light The music is great and the atmosphere has a home feeling energy. The oat milk latte is my favorite in the city and the baristas are all so kind and artsy !

I do not understand the reason why someone would give this place anything lower than 5 stars. Keeping it simple makes you really taste and appreciate the coffee. I love your coffee! Also, the service is very nice. This place is pretty stellar!

Living in the neighborhood for over 30 years, and I'm all for new establishments opening within the community, however if one opens a new business with a grand "mission statement"....live up to it! Daily Press opened up shop, so far east where REAL BROOKLYNITES, jokingly debate on whether they can claim this geographic location as BEDSTUY....because it's not the HEART (aka center for those who may not comprehend), and the old timers call it Ocean hill, but the zip is 11233!.....oh that Brooklyn Pride! Perhaps, way too much square feet for a coffee shop, that lacks variety. Just a wide open space that looks like it's lacking decor....and quite frankly everything!Ordered two hot chocolates, which were beyond basic, before hopping on the C to head downtown. Cold, and empty is how I would describe it. Would have totally appreciated, a nice restaurant...chill spot. DP could have stayed on Franklin, where I have walked past it a million times. Anyone with culinary skills, and coins available for a buyout? Bring worthy establishments to the neighborhood. PS, you can get coffee, hot chocolate and pastries that are not made in house at 1 of the 4 bodega within 100 feet of this place. Biggie said, "Spread Love It's The Brooklyn Way!" ...however the only thing that's spread here is Brooklyn before color form....as evidenced by their lackluster establishment and book. Bloop! Anyone want my loyalty card? I have two stamps on it, 8 more until your free cup.

We had a Airbnb close to this coffee shop during our last stay in NYC. So glad it was there, my daily here was the hazelnut latte with extra sugar....yummm its sooo good. We did try a bagel w/lox ad a breakfast burrito. The bagel was really good, the burrito was a 6/10. But the coffee and the hot chocolate here is really good.

Been here a few times now. Good coffee and yummy Apple Cheddar Scone (especially warm). Staff is nice and love the LGBTQ inclusivity shown here.

Nice addition to the neighbourhood! Very cozy, rustic and spacious place. On a beautiful Christmas eve Sunday I was greeted with a warm smile and my iced mocha Macchiato was on point!

Really nice spot for coffee and peace. There's also a bar! Karaoke, open mic, even the restroom was impressive. This was a nice place to escape during a hard time. Daily Press saved my sanity.
