Such a nice hotel. Very warm welcome from the valet and Andrew at the front desk is a gem. Was having a very stressful afternoon with some who’s moving my daughter and he was just so kind and welcoming. Rooms are very clean housekeeping did a great job. I’ve stayed at a couple places recently coming home to the room at 4 PM without it being cleaned. I would definitely stay here again and really appreciate the hospitality and service.

Google
Stayed here with my boyfriend around the end of May (after Memorial Day) for ~3 days, and loved the experience! The room was pretty standard size-wise, but was clean and well-maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Noise level was not an issue, and the check-in and out processes were very smooth and easy. The location was also nice, very close by to lots of sights, as well as safe for out of town travelers even at night.

This was my fourth time staying at the hotel, and as usual it was nothing less than perfection. The manager James and his team were very accommodating, the hotel is modern Chic. They have a fantastic happy hour in the lobby of the hotel everyday. I truly enjoyed every moment especially when I came in Thursday night and there was a major rainstorm, I stayed in the hotel and had dinner at the bar. The food was absolutely exceptional. The room was very comfortable. The shower water pressure was fantastic. I highly recommend coming to this hotel and checking them out.

Google
5 stars because of superb location, great staff and a CLEAN room with nice pillows and bedding. Bathroom door is hilarious at 20” wide but opens to an amble modern shower and vanity. No stained tubs and curtains. Plenty of plugs and a nice tv. I am overlooking the back - who cares! Stay here and spend the hundreds you’ll safe on a room on yourself in the city!

I had a wonderful experience during our recent stay! ||A special thank you to Andrew, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring that all of our special requests were accommodated without hesitation. His professionalism and warm attitude truly stood out and made a big difference in our overall experience.||The entire staff was helpful and welcoming, always making sure we had everything we needed. From check-in to check-out, they made sure we felt cared for and valued as guests.

This was an excellent stay. From the moment we came in the staff was friendly and helpful. I really appreciate them greeting you with "welcome back" after you come back in from the day, its just a sweet touch. My dog was welcomed with open arms, the offered water bottles to give him after our walks which was great. The location is great for walking or using the e-bikes/scooters which make it even better. There are plenty near the hotel. But, walking to the monuments and white house area was very easy. Its quiet on this side of town. Definitely use the valet if you can, it just makes the experience a lot easier! I will definitely use The Darcy for my next D.C. trip.

Google
We just spent several nights at The Darcy and had a wonderful time. From the first moment that we walked in, Andrew made us feel welcome. He and the front desk staff were always quick to wish us a “Welcome Back” back after a long day of sightseeing. They would offer us bottles of water and had some incredible restaurant suggestions. DJ was always manning the front door with a huge smile on his face. The bar and restaurant teams were flawless and executed their duties with infectious positive energy. It is very obvious to me that the owners and management are committed to strong customer service. We will be back the next time we are in DC and will be recommending The Darcy to all of our friends and family.

Google
Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very cordial and friendly. The hotel smells great, is clean, and features modern decor. The rooms are well-equipped with everything you might need. The resort fee covers in-room coffee, bottled water, bike rentals, WiFi, and access to the fitness center. There’s no self-parking, but valet is available for $60 per day.

Yelp
There's a reason this business is unclaimed. I would have provided them a three, as the hotel is OK. Small. Odd room layouts. Room service could barely fit trays through the room walk way. However, the icing on the cake was having items stolen from my room. Nope. Not joking. Not a mistake. Left a four pack of cigars and a nice bottle of cologne neatly on my glass counter. Prior to departing for a museum visit, I requested room service refresh the room. I return hours later to a missing cigar and a missing bottle of cologne. Mind you, I'm the ONLY person staying here. It was outrageous. Rather than make a huge fuss (they weren't that expensive--thankfully), I packed my bags and left. At checkout, I was laughably surprised by the amount "fees" that are racked up here. For example--not kidding--ordered breakfast, ordered dinner, after all the "amenity" fees and taxes--$300 more. Again, just me. I highly recommend going elsewhere if possible.

Yelp
I booked a one night stay at The Darcy fairly last minute. My friend and I came into DC for an event and didn't want to drive home late and The Darcy had availability and fit the budget (about $180 including taxes and fees for a Friday night stay during Fourth of July). Not too shabby. They offer valet for $70 overnight and we weren't trying to do all that. Luckily, we found metered parking across the street which was free after a certain hour. The concierge was helpful and friendly and let me know my car would be fine at the meter. The lobby was super nice and they even host a free cocktail reception from 5pm-5:30pm. The drinks were pretty sugary and not very good but still appreciated this added perk. The location is conveniently located from many restaurants and bars on 14th street. It was about a 5 minute walk from our dinner plans and plenty of other nightlife nearby. The room was very clean and well equipped. We especially loved the fact that the room had an actual real door on the bathroom. Why all these hotels nowadays don't have proper bathroom doors (always glass or a sliding barn door, etc), I have no idea but we were relieved to see this place had actual privacy. The bed was comfy and there was even a mini fridge, free bottled water, free coffee, free tea, wine glasses, and nice water glasses too. The TV had a great selection of channels including some great movies. The only complaint was that the shower pressure was actually too strong and couldn't really be adjusted. It was so strong it was even painful. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here and were impressed by the accommodations. I'd definitely stay here and again and would recommend it to anyone visiting DC!

Yelp
The Darcy is displaying legos of DC buildings decked out for the holidays. They had little cards and a ballot box. Located off the lobby on your way to the bar. It was a fun pit stop.

Yelp
I spent two nights at this hotel during a client event. After staying at a big box hotel in Las Vegas, the previous week, it was so wonderful to come to a boutique location that had a terrific fitness center, attentive, staff, good food, comfortable rooms, and an upscale feel. I will come back to this hotel on my next DC visit.

Yelp
I'm really surprised the ratings aren't higher! This was a fantastic hotel and I am so pleased with my stay. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, the staff was so amazing, friendly, and helpful. The housekeepers, front desk, restaurant/bar, and door people were all incredible. I stayed here with coworkers for a work event and one of them recommended this hotel. I'm very happy with the suggestion. It's a cute boutique hotel and I loved how moody and eclectic it felt. The rooms were nice m-sized with king-sized beds, a desk, flat screen TV, mini fridge, glassware and wine opener, illy coffee machine, and a safe. The bathrooms are definitely small, so don't plan on getting ready side-by-side with your partner. I didn't get a chance to see the gym but a coworker said it was pretty nice and had a couple of Pelotons. The restaurant doesn't serve lunch but had a nice menu with vegan options for breakfast -- I didn't get dinner, but they have happy hour from 4-6pm and had a good mix of beverages. The bartender made me a fantastic jalapeño margarita mocktail. The location is really great and you're within a reasonable walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Other sites, like the White House and Washington monument isn't too far if you like walking. My only complaint would be hearing some of my neighbors coughing and making a bit of noise during the night. Maybe keep the AC fan going if you need it.

Yelp
Had a two night stay here in early October and it went smoothly - really friendly and responsive staff, clean rooms, centrally located, and reasonably priced. There's so much to see and do in DC that I didn't check out the gym or the restaurant, but it's good to know that the hotel has them, and other amenities, available. One thing to note is that your Uber/Lyft drivers may find getting exactly to the Darcy roundabout a bit difficult since Rhode Island Ave NW is a pretty busy street that leads to a roundabout. Also, the roundabout is small and can be full of cars for guests being dropped off/picked up. My friend stayed at this hotel, too, and we'd often either just walk or scooter to various places. If, however, we took Uber/Lyft, we'd walk across the street down Corregidor St NW and that was always a less stressful pick-up point.

Yelp
Stayed here during Otakon!!!!... checked in a bit late because we went to several events!!...found out Valet parking is $60 a night here but street parking on weekends are free iiiiif you find a spot . 200.00 incidental fee and some other fee is 60 something!...The Bed was very comfortable!! our bathroom was pretty compact but cute! The shower was small but cute!! There's absolutely NO microwave which was sad because we had to eat the food immediately while it was still hot! Because cold Chinese just isn't the way!!!... The Hot water works!!! The more you turned it to cold it got scalding but you can adjust it to your liking!.. the Argan Oil brand Shampoo/conditioner/Shower Gel smells amaaaazing!!.. you can adjust your shower power!! (When you turn it on it first rushes out very cold ugh then gets hot!!. I didn't mind but some ppl might want the shower power force to be more calm! . Sonita was very nice, pleasant she was very helpful with anything that we needed held conversation a bit as well very much a chill vibe aura about Her. Overall I'd definitely return here .

Yelp
Had a work event and conference here and it did not disappoint! The eclectic decoration gives you a vintage vibe but in a clean, modern setting! The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were great! For the conference, the food was delicious (charcuterie boards, homemade hummus and pita, spring rolls, feta and watermelon and empanadas). The staff is absolutely the nicest and most accommodating people! 10:10 recommend!

Yelp
i like everything about this hotel. employees are top notch. everything is clean and beautiful. im still in shock that i am not paying double than what i did. all the guests seem to be in a great mood.

Yelp
Very nice. Had breakfast: Avocado toast, side of bacon, side of chicken sausage, coffee and orange juice. $53.22 including breakfast service charge and tax. Server was excellent: #1027 Rachid. Tipped @ 25% gladly.

Yelp
Bathrooms are so small and no counter space. You've to use the back of the toulet for any counter space. This was an upgraded king suite on the corner. No room for luggage as their closet doors block space they've allocated for suitcases. Not recommended

Yelp
The moment we stepped foot at the Darcy Hotel we were greeted by a very warm staff . We stayed during Labor Day weekend and had the best experience . And let me tell you , they greeted us every time we stepped off the elevator and returned back to the hotel , no matter the time or day . That left a great impression for us. We felt welcomed and appreciated just by that small gesture . Everyone from the doorman & front desk were friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect as everything was walking distance from all of the places we visited . We hardly even had to book an Uber because the Darcy was literally close to everything . I highly recommend booking with Darcy. Their modern flare & upscale decor is beautiful and the rooms are super clean. This is the perfect hotel for young couples ! The King bed was so comfortable and we loved the robes that came with the room. We can't wait to check out DC again and we will be booking here from here on out.

Yelp
Our second stay at the Darcy; first visit was much nicer. This time around, the issues piled up: placed in a handicap-accessible room without asking for it; room key didn't work requiring an engineer; no ottoman in 1-bedroom suite; room temp said 68 but was actually in mid-70s. To their credit, front desk waived our resort fees after we expressed our displeasure. Just stinks when you are only staying for a night and it's screwed up.

Yelp
The Darcy was clean and the staff were very nice. They all helped and never seemed too busy to get what we needed. Usually it takes a while to get something up to your room but they were surprisingly quick. The decor was beautiful and classy. The restaurant GSK wasn't my favorite but the coffee shop was great! Walkable to everything to see, monuments, museums, grocery and food!

Yelp
Wonderful location right in the heart of DC. We stayed here during pride weekend and the service was phenomenal. The rooms have a darker interior to them and are bit small but standard for the area. They're clean and well-maintained. Beds were quite comfortable and the Wi-Fi was strong which is important to us. Never had a chance to really use the amenities.
google avatar

Dakota M.

Yelp
Service at The Darcy was good, but for the price paid it was dirty. There were stains on each of the bed which made me so uncomfortable I didn't want to even lay my head down. The bathroom was extremely small for a room with two queens. I definitely would not recommend for multiple women especially if you would be getting dressed for an event, but the room was a good size. The hotel has complimentary gin tasting from 5-5:30 everyday and they also have free bikes which you can ride around the city.

Yelp
The room was clean and the building/rooms were cute. There was no housekeeping service. Our hair dyer was broken so called down the first night we arrived for a replacement at around 11pm. It took approx 10 minutes for someone to answer the phone. No one delivered a replacement that night. Had to call down the next morning, which the call was answered much quicker and someone came up within a few minutes. The hotel itself was pretty close to the mall and walkable to things we wanted to see.

Yelp
In from St. Louis for four nights. The entire experience was amazing. The desk clerks were very professional and hospitable and the doorman were super helpful and courteous.

Yelp
I'm going to rate The Darcy a 3.5 star hotel. I was invited to a business conference in the area and this hotel is so close to where I was going that I decided to stay at The Darcy. The lobby was clean and service was good. The restaurant and bar was pretty good too. The rooms are ample but bathroom is a bit cramped!
google avatar

Torey J.

Yelp
I give The Darcy a solid 3.5, but didn't have the heart to give 4 stars. I stayed at The Darcy when I was in the area running the Marine Corps Marathon. I had an arranged rate through the marathon and thankfully, the $30 amenity fee was waived. I know COVID has changed so much about hotels, but I also travel a lot for business so at this price point (I think it was $250+/night) I expect a little more. I also think "eclectic" is a euphemism for "overpriced and underperforming". The lobby area is well decorated and sleek, but the rooms left me wanting so much more. The HVAC unit ran all night and the room was strangely appointed - it just felt like there wasn't enough furniture or lighting. The bathroom especially is extremely small and crowded with a vanity, toilet, and shower all squeezed in vertically. I will say the rooms were super clean and I appreciated that! Something else to note is I was charged $100/night (I think) as a hold on my credit card. I remember asking because the temporary charge was over $200 what the marathon pricing quoted me. The benefit of The Darcy is that it's in a great location, but everything in D.C. is walkable anyways. I wouldn't book here just for that reason alone. At the end of the day, it was fine, but I definitely didn't get my money's worth here.

Yelp
I stayed at the Darcy for a quick staycation this weekend. It was a nice choice for my one night stay. The location is very convenient which I really appreciated. Upon arrival I was greeted by valet which was really nice ad many times one is waiting for some assistance. I then went to the front desk where I was greeted so kindly by concierge services. Check in was smooth and pain free! I went up to my room which was a corner room and on a higher level floor which was nice. The room was a nice space for me and each corner used appropriately. The bathroom was nice as well! The only thing I didn't like is there was very limited space to place toiletries in the bathroom. Also I do think the room itself could have been a little cleaner. The desk area and night stands were really dusty which I didn't like. I used the provided alcohol wipes to clean them off. In the morning I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was easy and vice versa as well. Again the customer service was great! Overall I would stay here again !

Yelp
The staff awesome the reception you get when you arrive is amazing. The staff is very helpful. Received an upgrade at no cost. The hotel restaurant beautiful, the food amazing. On a scale is one to ten I give it 10's across the board.

Yelp
Brunch at The Darcy Hotel..... Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!!!! Let me start by saying..... Mimosas-Amazing Açaí Bowl- to die for French Toast- so, so good and even has a delicious pudding-like filling Avocado toast - so good! Green Juice shooter -tasty The service and dining experiencing was amazing. Every hotel staff I encountered was friendly and warm

Yelp
The location is perfect . The rooms are clean and have great staff . food was amazing have the wings and shrimp . my new new year's hotel .

Yelp
So the Darcy. I can't say it's a 5 star hotel. They have a small bar and there is a restaurant attached. The bellmen are not super customer service oriented. I mean at the Ritz, you better believe if an Uber comes to get you that bell man is opening your door. Not so at the Darcy, but the Darcy is close to a lot of clubs and so forth, the location is pretty nice. Plenty of places to walk to. The Holiday Inn right next door gives you the hint of what to expect as far as service! But!!!! The price? You can't beat the price. For an average hotel this is priced fairly and better quality than the Holiday Inn, that's for sure! They have an contemporary look. Mini bar in the room, robes, etc. You can't beat the price or location.
google avatar

Yelp
The weekend stay was great - the staff was responsive and friendly. The front desk and housekeeping staff were quick to address all requests. Location is central and convenient to multiple DC landmarks. Will stay again during our regular visits to DC.

Yelp
Check in is at 3. Showed up around 3:35-3:40. Was told the room was not ready but would be ready in 30 minutes, and comped 2 drinks at the bar. Sat and waited. Had to check with the front desk twice and was finally able to get a room around 5pm. Wasn't told room number and had to wait again to get that info. We headed to the room and found all the pillows on the floor without pillowcases. We called the front desk and the woman on the phone was kind but tried to move us to a king bed suite with a pullout sleeper (we had 2 queens). While I appreciate trying to move us, a pullout when we waited for the 2 beds is not an appropriate solution. When the pillow cases were dropped off (quickly, thankfully) they knocked and opened the door before we could even walk over to open it. And the pillow cases are stained. It's just been mis-step after mis-step here. They said they will comp a night after complaining but we should have booked elsewhere and would recommend the same. Update: We found blood on the comforter (in addition to the pillow cases having stains) the first night. Photos attached. We also found food from the previous guest in the fridge (soup) and called the front desk to report it. They moved us to a different room and we didn't have issues after that. After being moved, it was like staying at a completely different hotel. They comped a room for a night. Since it ruined our stay, I have to honestly say I still wouldn't recommend staying here. Book elsewhere. 3/4 of the staff we dealt with were very kind, but it shouldn't take this much complaining to get a hotel to honor the basic necessity of a clean room. Beyond disappointing.

Yelp
Perfect for a quick night away from the kids. It would have been even better if we got our room right away... unfortunately it took three times to get there. 1) battery dead on the key reader 2) the room - once we got in - stunk of weed 3) finally made it to another room. Love that this place is dog friendly with no additional fee and that they have a local resident discount rate. The bed was comfy. The tv was terrible - it was poorly set so all the colors were off making it look out of focus and hrs to watch. And they don't let you fix the settings with the remote they give you. There is such potential for this place to be better. Their safety precautions are good and they even have a nice little cocktail half hour (that we missed because it was so short...). I'd give it another chance but this time was a bit of a miss.

Yelp
A bit of a late review ... I stayed 4 days at the Darcy (formerly Doubletree) in mid January for a work trip and it was a nice stay. The doorman was cordial and attentive. Check-in was also friendly and efficient. When I needed a taxi one morning, the doorman went out of the way to run down the street to find one for me as it was snowing that morning and a busy day for taxis. This is a boutique hotel - rooms are nice, comfy beds, a nice chair to relax and read, and a pretty good sized desk to do work. Room was good sized and seemed like the space could be used better and some spots were underutilized. But overall, room was not cramped and comfortable. Only thing I really wish for was a nice big bathtub! It would be nice to soak in it on those cold wintery mornings in DC, but the room came with a walk in shower. Room had a well stocked mini-bar with a good variety of beer, wine, soda and other things, including snacky items. I did not see any sundry store on the premises, but upon check in when I told the front desk I forgot my toothbrush, they gladly provided one for free! The Siren restaurant was really great! Seafood is their specialty an I managed to have appetizers a couple of times there and really enjoyed it. Did not get a chance to have a dinner since I had other prior arrangement but something I will keep in mind if I am in DC again. So all in all, a nice experience. If you can't find other hotels near the convention center, this is a nice alternative and would definitely keep this in mind for future business trips.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the 4 star rating. Our experience at this hotel was second rate and one of the worst. We've stayed at plenty of 3 star hotels that were 100x better. Where should I start? The moment we stepped into the lobby for the first time, we got a whiff of raw sewage smell even through our masks. Check-in was seamless and we got to our room quickly. Our room was on the 8th floor in the back corner - the window faced an apartment building which you can see right through people's homes which was strange. Within 10 minutes, after the vent turned on, we could smell the same sewage stink that we smelled in the lobby. We called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room. There was no way we could stay there. The smell was so bad. We got moved to the 7th floor to a larger room with a nice city view. The downside to the room is that the TV did not work well. The sound was noticeably scratchy and the colors were way too saturated. Then the water flow from the sink made it hard to wash hands and face. The water sprays everywhere. Lastly, the water pressure was way too light. Oh, and they don't give free water bottles. We just boiled the sink water, which was disgusting. The bed was comfy though. Bottom line: do not stay here nor expect 4 star hotel service.

Yelp
I met a couple of friends here for breakfast and I really liked it. I may actually spend a weekend here. The food was great and the variety was satisfying. Eggs were cooked perfectly and as requested (I'm picky with my eggs) Service was great, I wasn't sure where the restaurant was but the lobby staff helped me kindly and our server Rasheed was extremely attentive and kind. Overall, it's as a good visit, will definitely be back.

Yelp
The darcy was a great place to celebrate me and my wifes 5 year wedding anniversary coming from cali. They go the extra mile to accommodate room surprise and the decor. The staff was dope and very respectful. Im going back in 3 years to take the whole family. Thank you to the great ladies that help create the room to make it special. One love Darcy Fam.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel with everything you could possibly want. The in-house restaurants are chef-driven, and delicious. This means delicious food for conferences at the hotel. The room is modern, clean and classy, not to mention comfortable. They've done away with the never-used tub and put in a nice large shower instead. The bathroom is small, but the size works for what you need. Staff are helpful and ready to assist in any way, from directions to answering random questions. Even better - it's just a 15 min walk to the White House, 20 to the Mall.

Yelp
Can't say any more than to give this place 5 stars. Friendly staff and very good places to eat and drink. After a bad experience at the Hyatt this place was refreshing to check in at.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at The Darcy Hotel (which does not look anything like the pictures we saw on Yelp). It's nice inside and very clean and newer looking. The attached restaurant is upscale and serves very good food at high prices. Rooms are quiet, which we like. Bathrooms are European style (small). They have people to open the door for you when you walk up to the hotel and most of the staff are great. They also offer a free Darcy cocktail between 5:00-5:30 in the evening. We tried it and both of us thought it was good. Unfortunately, since the Smithsonian Museums don't close until 5:30 pm, we only got to enjoy this benefit once during our stay. The only downside was that if you have anything wrong in the room and you need assistance, no one will ever come to your room to fix the problem. We tried twice to get assistance (both on the phone and in person at the front desk) and my husband ended up fixing the stopped up sink after we got there and then he figured out how to fix the rattling noise from the furnace vent. Lucky for me, he's REALLY good at fixing things because, as I mentioned, repeated requests for help go unanswered - maybe they don't have maintenance people there? Dunno. I took one star off for that.

Yelp
A quaint, boutique hotel near the convention center when I was in town for business. Check-in was a breeze and quick. The bathrooms were definitely tight - one misstep and your toiletries could end up in the toilet as that's how tight everything felt. There is also a $30 amenities fee on upon checkout - I feel like boutique hotels can really get you there. The restaurant had awful service so I highly recommend skipping out on that and dining elsewhere.

Yelp
Fantastic location, competitive pricing and depending on your booking option, they waive the pestilential "amenity fees" which annoy absolutely everyone. Their attitude toward guests is excellent. Dining room people are friendly and the food is tasty. Housekeeping people smile and say hello. Door people are polite. Front desk people are - for the most part- truly welcoming, but they do have one or two bad apples at the check-in desk.. To be fair, when management was advised of this, they more than took care of it and when one colleague saw a check in person acting against the reservation notes, he acted quickly and clearly to make the situation right. So yes, The Darcy is my home away from home when visiting DC.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved our stay here! The hotel was gorgeous, everyone was friendly, the room was comfortable and they are pet friendly!!! There was no pet fee, which is unheard of! The location is perfect- we were able to get to the National Mall easily for the demonstration, and then later took a walk in the neighborhoods to check out the nightlife. Also, Gerrard Street Kitchen was delicious. We will be back!

Yelp
The Darcy is a historic hotel in the center of Washington, D.C. owned by Hilton Hotels' luxury brand, Curio. After a weekend visit, my little family of three are in love. Here's why: 1) Customer service: Staff treat each guest as a member of their own family. The best example of this is when we logged onto the hotel wifi. Once you're on the network, it asks you to rate your stay and what they could do to make it better. I jokingly replied, "Chocolate." Within thirty minutes, the front desk had delivered a box of fancy chocolates to our room with a personalized note. My wife and I were shocked. Thanks, The Darcy! 2) Location: It's perfectly placed in the city in the neighborhood of Logan Circle. You can walk south to downtown DC and then the National Mall to see the sites. If you like neighborhoods, wander west to Dupont Circle enjoying the beautiful embassies and Dupont Farmer's Market on weekends (it's the biggest farmer's market in the city). North is U Street NW with shops, restaurants, and bars. No matter how you travel, there's something close for you! 3) Space: The hotel is underwhelming from the outside, but simplistically gorgeous on the inside. The rooms are simple with modern, stylish art on the walls and even an emo designed shower. The lobby is beautiful. There's a fitness center for all guests! If you're hungry, Siren is inside the hotel serving seafood and quality cocktails (that you can take to your room). There's a cafe inside for coffee and breakfast. If we're looking for another staycation in the city, we'd rush back to The Darcy!

Yelp
Management at The Darcy does not take kindly to families with small children battling cancer. I recently had to cancel my four night stay at this hotel due to my four year old child being hospitalized in the ICU for several days due to medical complications. Management has refused to return any of my voicemails or emails inquiring about a refund or credit. I'm appalled at the lack of basic customer service and empathy for a medical emergency.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to have a weekend in DC. He made a same day reservation at the Darcy. Initially, I was concerned, but it turned out great. The entry is well appointed, we were greeted upon entry by valet & reception. They were hosting a happy hour, so while in line waiting to check in, we enjoyed a nice cocktail. There was also a passing of coconut shrimp. The room was clean and fully stocked! There were snacks & drinks (alcoholic & nonalcoholic). One thing we missed was the price list of the items. One thing slightly negative would be the size of the bathroom. The closet is bigger than the bathroom. The proximity between the counter, toilet and shower is inches. It had the regular amenities, but just not very comfortable.

Yelp
It's ok. Location is perfect, and the staff is very professional. The rooms are beautiful. The price is a little high for what they offer.... I would stay here again. Just beware ... the walls are paper thin ... you will hear everything...

Yelp
Amenities fee is $30, and you can't even include bottles of water. Parking is $45 that I have to park myself going around the block, and coming downstairs to garage. I get it it's Covid, and there's no valet parking, how about lower the price or just waive it? No toothbrush or toothpaste, the yellow stains all over shower head. And I can't even access to the WiFi

Yelp
hate to use the analogy again, but the Darcy is like a beautiful girl who is just a trainwreck once you get to know her. the Darcy looks sleek and stylish but upon actual stay is crap on the inside. nothing functioned smoothly or properly. only chose the Darcy because it was reasonably priced and allowed dogs. had to switch rooms twice before finally settling on a room. first room was by the elevator with thin walls. fine, our fault for not specifying. don't make our mistake. second room, the hvac system rattled and sounded like a train was running through the room. the front desk agreed saying they heard the sound through the phone. even found a pube on the bed (see photo). eww. both rooms I tried, the water pressure was terrible. the sinks were a pain to wash my hands because water barely came out. I mean noticeably bad. bathrooms were tiny and cramped, and the toiletries did not feel very clean. walls were paper thin, and you could hear neighbors talking or doing whatever they were doing. free happy hour gin, but both days we were there, it either ended short of the advertised 30 minutes or started late. don't be fooled by appearances. the looks of a 4 star hotel, but just off. you can find better in a hotel and hospitality.

Yelp
Strong 4 stars. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The room was clean, nicely decorated but the bed was hard and not comfy for me or my daughter. The 5:30-6pm free cocktail in the lobby/bar area was a nice touch. The man doing it could have been a bit more personable. I.D'd my obviously adult 25 year old daughter and gave us both the once over. Strange creature. The valet guys were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff knocked on the room door at 8am asking if we were leaving soon. Bit odd considering check out isn't until 11am. The front desk were lovely and accommodating about leaving our car at the hotel until 5pm even though we were checking out that morning. Sort of helps alleviate the $60 valet parking charge bruise. The area was perfect to get about the city. My daughter and me walked about the area until about 9pm and felt safe. It's a nice walk to area restaurants. We did Uber to get to museums and the WH. All in all would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I was excited to see another Hilton property pop up in the NW area of D.C. The short: this Hilton is a boutique-style hotel with clean, renovated, trendy rooms & friendly staff. The longer: I travel to D.C. quite a bit, and constantly struggle with sold out, decent Hilton hotel rooms, so this is a very welcome addition to this area! There's a digital key option, good wifi, a quaint but clean gym (with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, weights & a water cooler), and the rooms are very cute and comfortable. My AC worked wonderfully, the bed was comfy, and they are generous with towels. I was also VERY into their robe. That robe is fluffy & comfy AF. Only thing I didn't love was the large size bottles of shampoo & conditioner. I prefer samples (they feel cleaner). There's no lounge, but they give you a $15 voucher for breakfast. Room service was awesome, too, I had the halibut from Siren downstairs and it was probably the best room service meal I've ever had. Overall, great option and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I had a wonderful stay at the Darcy. The valet parking was excellent. I loved being able to use their leather bikes around town. Beautiful interior design. This place was made for selfies! I really appreciate how they provided outstanding service for every department of this property. I loved their infused water out in the lobby as well!

Yelp
The Darcy is a nice boutique hotel in downtown DC. It is in a nice location and the rooms are big. This was my first time in DC and the workers at the front desk were pleasant. There are a few things that really bothered me during my stay though. One thing is that the pillows are HUGE. They're way too fluffy and made me wake up in serious back pain. IF YOURE A STOMACH SLEEPER DONT STAY HERE!

Yelp
The most disappointing hotel experience I've ever had. It started with a king bed city view room the size of a closet and ended with water line shutoff for 4 hours two nights in a row. The water line shutoff was apparently part of planned maintenance, but the General Manager did not think it worthwhile to proactively warn guests about this. A trip to the front desk at 11PM to report the lack of water in the room (which included the toilet water tank not refilling after one flush) prompted the nighttime concierge staff to briskly hand me a letter from a large stack apologizing for the inconvenience. No water bottles proactively left in rooms, no advance warning so guests could plan accordingly, just $50 off my weeklong stay when I raised the issue at checkout. The rooms themselves are dated and not at all as pictured, there is a $30 per night "amenity fee" with no amenities to speak of except for a complimentary gin/ginger from 5-5:30PM nightly. I was thoroughly disappointed by my stay and will be frequenting properties like Hotel Zena and The Ven on future trips to DC.
