Stopped by to try out Social Drinkers crawfish. It was amazing all around and a very cool venue. I’d make the drive back out there for sure.

The Decoy is a favorite spot of mine to chill with friends whenever the weather is nice. There’s a good amount of sand volleyball courts if you’re interested in playing. I recently went to watch a basketball game and I liked that we could reserve a table in advance. They have a big projector screen with good sound. The premises are always clean and it’s never too packed. The parking lot can fill up quite quickly though if you show up too late! During crawfish season, they have a tent that sells crawfish on the weekends which is quite nice!

Had a super good experience at Decoy for the UFC fight!! I usually don’t venture on on my drink choice but one of the GMs made me a recommended drink using their jalepeno tequila, and needless to say I loved it. He made the experience one of a kind and we will definitely be back! I believe it was the tubby manager Joey ? Way to go Joey, stay tubby!!

I loved this place so much I first came with my husband for some birthday drinks and then I brought my best friends for my birthday brunch and they loved it all! I will definitely be back for some volleyball ball and drinks. They did such an amazing job with this space, it is massive with plenty of volleyball courts, seating inside and out, a full bar, DJ, different food places beside it. It's so cool and I can't wait to be back!

My friends and I had an amazing time here! The drinks were great and I just loved how the venue had everything you needed to have a good time. Tons of tables, space, TVs, and more! It’s the perfect place to watch a game, play volleyball, and or throw a party.

Always had a good experience everytime I've gone. Bartenders are all talkative and nice. Drinks are good and the atmosphere is awesome. Fun little place to go to.

Google
Decoy is such a fun volleyball bar! This place has everything you need for a great time – from sand volleyball courts to cornhole, and even giant screens for watching the big game. The vibe here is super chill and perfect for a night out with friends. There is also private sections as well and a DJ! The staff is friendly and on point – shoutout to Noah for his awesome service! I had a group of friends in town and the staff just went above and beyond for us! The drink selection is solid too, with plenty of beers on tap, daily specials, and great cocktails. 10/10

Yelp
I came here once for an event and knew I had to get back! Welp, finally I did. We had a ball and watched the Formula 1 race while a really good band played in the background! If you have a huge group of people, this place is the spot you need to be at! They have private areas as well...even a little playground for the kiddos! While we didn't indulge in the volleyball pits...we definitely indulged in the drinks. My margarita was on point! We got there pretty early and our waitress seemed glad to have someone there with her. She made our drinks extra special!

Yelp
Man it was paaaaaaccckkkkked. All in fairness, there was a party going on. The place is chill with ample outdoor seating. The staff are pretty chill and nice, I didnt see any food available, but honestly I wasnt there for that :P Beer towers range about 35-40$ but honestly the best bang for buck seemed to be the fishbowls around the same price. Those were hella tasty! Come for the drinks, play some outdoor bar games, or play your hand at volleyball (yes they have not one but TWO volleyball courts with sand and all) Not my favorite bar, but it is a change of pace compared to other nearby bars.

Yelp
After hearing about and driving by The Decoy, I was excited to have the opportunity to check it out. We were a large party that came for a work happy hour on a Tuesday afternoon and the space was plentiful! When you drive up, I was a little confused on where the exact entrance into the bar is, but I was able to go in through the side (opposite ends of the volleyball courts). This side housed the tables and TVs, whereas on the other side of the bar is the volleyball courts and patio area; the bar is in the middle. Love that The Decoy has a good happy hour - definitely check it out. Even though we weren't there for volleyball or to watch a sporting event, we had a great time, with great service from the bar staff. Oh- and for food, you can bring in food; several of our party ordered from Underbelly next door.

Yelp
I love coming to the Decoy! It's a great place to visit with friends, family, after work etc: I usually go during the day and sit outside. However, it can also get pretty lively at night too. I've tried several different drinks here. The Aperol spritz, corona, margaritas (huge sizes and pretty strong) and mimosas. Prices here are very reasonable too and they have a lot of drinks specials throughout the week. Decoy itself doesn't sell food but they have a burger shop near by where you can grab food and enjoy outside as well as various pop up food/trucks throughout the week as well. The most unique thing about this bar is its volleyball court which I've played on a couple times. I really enjoy that it's nestled right in the middle of spring branch, so we can still get that fun neighborhood bar feel without being right in the city.

Yelp
I made reservations for 7:50 to watch NCAA championship game. The manager emailed me to confirm the reservation, but when I got there (7:45pm) I did not see a table with my name on it. My party & I tried asking for help but got nothing. Needless to say, the employees were useless. Luckily I found a table but the view wasn't that great. The speaks went out 3x during the game. Parking wasn't an issue. I found a spot in front of underbelly but I heard there's parking in the bank and you can park on the street. They have sand volleyball which was cool. I'm giving it 2/5 because they did not have my table ready or offered an apology.

Yelp
Came here to watch the UH basketball game with my friends. Made a reservation the same day and was accommodated for! Pricing on bar items were typical. There is an outdoor patio and 4 volleyball courts if I remember correctly. The screen was large and nice to view the game. They were also serving crawfish which I believe is only there on the weekends and special events. Overall love the ambiance and atmosphere. The only thing is that parking can get pretty full.

Yelp
I have been to The Decoy a handful of times, most recently after an event in the area. While the parking lot isn't huge, I've always found parking there when I've stopped by. Bars with open-air concepts and large patios have been all of the rage over the past couple of years and this one fits the bill. There's plenty of seating and space to chill on their patio. And there's also seating by the bar and some tables inside along with a good number of TVs inside. What makes The Decoy special is that they have sand volleyball courts that you can rent. I'm not a volleyball player so I haven't done it but there are always people playing while you're there. Drinks can be a bit of a hit or a miss. On my last visit, I had a caipirinha (the classic Brazilian cocktail). It wasn't made right. I've been to Brazil and I've had it at quite a few establishments. It was butchered here. I don't return drinks unless there's an extreme situation so I drank it. Maybe just an anomaly for me this time around. They have a full bar so you can choose from cocktails, beer, wine, shots, etc. And they also have daily specials which is nice.

Yelp
Not against coming back, but also not pining to go back. First we couldn't find our table. Sure they have signs but nothings stopping desperate customers from just hiding them or removing them altogether. We tried getting help from the bartender and waited for a manager to pass by but no one came. So we got a table way in the back outside. So view wasn't great, because for whatever reason someone thought putting 2 space heaters right in the middle towards the front was a great idea. The better part of my experience has to do with the food vendors (the crafish social drinkers ones and underbelly). If you go on a day where an important game isn't happening you might like it more. It was a bit annoying how there were so many people that were playing volleyball throughout most of the game, leaving their tables with all their belongings on top. It'd be better if those tables in the middle were actually used by those who were watching the game the entire time. I do like that it's dog friendly. Parking is OK if you get there early but there is parking across the street as well. This place is 30+ minutes from me, so if it were closer I'd see it as worth going to more often. One employee I really encountered and liked was the guy going around and checking on everyone, swapping out crawfish buckets along with papertowels.

Yelp
I booked The Decoy for my high school reunion for 70+ guests. Reserving a space was easy by sending in an online inquiry on their website. I was contacted immediately via email to work out the logistics. Reserving a space is free and they agreed to do separate checks. They have a big parking lot and available street parking so that wasn't an issue for the guests. We got a large section by the volleyball court that had a covered patio. Plenty of tables for the guests if they want to sit down but we mostly stood the whole night. You can rent out volleyball courts and there's a giant jenga and other games to check out. Overall, this is a great spot for a large group with minimal planning. I was happy with how everything turn out. We had a great time through out the night.

Yelp
Drink only establishment with nearby food joints and occasionally a birria taco vendor that pops up. Three sand volleyball courts. Tableside service through an app with some drink deals. They do Jell-O shots when the Texans score. Overall, a really fun spot to watch a sports game or hang out with friends.

Yelp
Enjoying a sunny day in Houston post the rain and before the real summer heat. What a great day to be on a patio and enjoy a refreshing drink. Sand Volleyball Swing chairs Food 2 bars Patio/indoor seating What else do you need? Manager Noah was very nice. Bartender Emily she was so sweet and attentive and made the best drinks. Drinks $2 Mexican candy shots (ordered 4) $3 margarita (added mango flavor I did sample the strawberry that was always really good. Not too sweet) Morning regret with Don Julio added Can't beat a patio with good drinks and service . I didn't play volleyball, but it was nice to watch others play. They don't serve food, but they do have an onsite vendor and share walls with 2 restaurants. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and a nice music variety played. They have both a qr code menu and a physical copy. There are plenty of drink specials, and we all love a mimosa tower and fish bowls Volleyball $25weekday rental $45 weekend rental

Yelp
Great place for a gathering away from the downtown area.Clean up keep . Great courteous bartenders . Low Key good crowd. Nice vibe. Kid and pet friendly. Outside food at the pub. Had crawfish small playground for little ones. Real nice open space . Would recommend.

Victoria D.

Yelp
Service is awful. We are a large group of serv industry people, we ALWAYS take care of who needs to be taken care of. The basketball machine ate $10 and instead of simply comping a single beer, the staff decided to be assholes about it and tell us it's just not their problem, we all know you don't actually get the money from the game machines but after spending $90 i would assume one beer is an easy comp. Anyways, $10 is nothing but it's more about the principal and the fact they just didn't give a fuck. TRY CROWBAR, the service is 10x better and they have the same amenities.

Yelp
I will definitely have my next birthday here! The bartender was so nice, even though she was dealt with a drunken crowd outside . She had so much patience. The drinks were delicious I totally forgot which drink I had but I'm a brown girl the atmosphere was astonishing the volleyball sandbox, the mini games in the side, the sitting areas and I'm so sad I didn't get more pictures overall a well rounded place to have fun with friends and you can bring the kids in the day time.

Yelp
My friends and I were looking to do something outside of our normal hang out activities. The idea of being outdoors and being more active came up so we decided to check out The Decoy. We initially reserved a court weeks before we actually came and due to unforeseen circumstances we had to reschedule. The ease of emailing and rescheduling was easy and gave us great first impressions of the place before we even stepped foot on the property. We reserved for a Friday evening at 6pm. Parking was plentiful at that point and only one court was being used. Shortly after, the lot got full and all courts were being used. As always, I arrived early with a couple of friends to enjoy some drinks. They have a nice patio right outside with swinging chairs and plenty of seating. They also have a large covered pavilion with more seating, cornhole, and a huge screen for sporting events. There is a bar inside but it also conveniently opens up to the outside space for ease of ordering outside without tracking sand inside. Customer service was nice and friendly when we arrived. That being said, as the night went on, new staff was at the bar that weren't as quick or outgoing. A few of the items on the happy hour menu were out but they graciously substituted it for other items and honored the happy hour prices. I do wish the beer was slightly colder. They have water fountains on the outside with cups which was a nice touch as staying hydrated in the Texas sun is essential. There is no food served here, but they do share a space with a few eateries right there. So reservations are recommended but I feel like you could probably walk in during the less busy part of the day and be able to play. We reserved a two hour block and I felt if the group is large like ours, it is a very reasonably priced outing. We brought in a few of our own volleyballs, but they do have them to rent. The group after us rented a ball for 15 bucks, but that ball was super raggedy. Being the awesome people that we are, we let them have one of ours. If you need to pump up your own balls, they do have these available at the bar for free usage. They have three sand volleyball courts that are very well maintained. The fence is high surrounding the place, but we lost a few balls to the parking lots because some people don't know their own strength. The sand was clean, deep and cool on the feet. We played our hearts out for our two hours and had an absolute blast. They do come out and remind you it is time to leave if a group has the court after you. Overall, my friends and I had a very good time here. I can see us coming back in the very near future.

Kelly H.

Yelp
It's always a good time here! I love it!!!! The drinks specials are always great. One of my new favorites places.

Yelp
Go to Powder Keg they have volleyball too. Better parking, better management, way better drinks. Many food options also.

Yelp
The place is dirty and the crowd is scary. Getting a drink will take at least 10 minutes.

Yelp
The parking lot is small and shared with another store, so we ended up parking across the street. Coming into the lot there are two large volleyball courts and an out door patio area with swinging egg shaped chairs. Walking into the bar, it has a decent bar vibe with a live DJ playing the tunes over the many TV's in the room playing the fight, game, or race on the screen. This place serves beer, shots and cock/mock tail. The beer is nice and cold. They actually serve Yingling Flight, one of my favorite beers. According to my bartender the popular choices drinks on the menu are the Blue Lagoon, Spicy Pineapple Margarita, and the Blueberry Mojito. Additionally she said her favorite was the Lemon Mint Sparkler. My group and I tried several mixed drinks, I myself ordered the spicy pineapple margarita. Based on the consensus of my group, we all agreed that the mixed drinks are more syrupy and honestly not very good. however, that doesn't mean I didn't have fun hanging out with friends here, after all that's what you do at a bar. Sadly they don't offer any type of food, I'm not even sure if you're allowed to bring food in? They only have beverages. Overall it's a good place to go if you want to play volleyball outside when the weather is nice. The servers and bartenders are very friendly and can recommend things if you haven't had them before. The menu is rather small for just the bar, but I'm guessing that's because they probably expect their customers to play a game or two. Some recommendations for this business, improve the alcohol to syrup ratio and probably have some thing to snack on to keep your customers buying more drinks (example: peanuts, fries, sliders, etc).

Yelp
I visited The Decoy for a work event where we rented out a sand volleyball court Friday afternoon and hung out under the covered patio in between games. This is a day drinking review, since someone told me it gets a little clubby at night. (Definitely not the vibe for our visit) The bar interior has a few high tables, a few large booths, and then the bar top, as far as seating options are concerned. There are TV's hanging on the wall in every direction, so you won't miss the game. It's not terribly large inside, but there's also plenty of outdoor seating options in the front and back areas. Front outdoor area has hanging chairs and picnic tables, and the back outdoor area is similar to Kirby Icehouse where they turfed out a space and covered it with a large metal patio and have couches, picnic tables, and high tables you can snag to watch the TV's or the sand volleyball courts. Speaking of, there's I think 3, maybe 4, sand volleyball courts available to rent by the hour. They charged us $10/hr for the court, and $15/hr for the volleyball. FYI Someone mentioned that they have league play on certain nights for the serious Volleyball players out there. They do not serve food at all, but was told they're fine with you bringing in outside food. There's an Underbelly Burger restaurant next door, so you're covered if you absolutely need to eat. I drank beer so don't have much to add about the quality of mixed drinks and cocktails, but it's a sportsbar... Bring that level of expectation and you'll be fine.

Yelp
Good spot to drink and play sand volleyball with family and friends. I had so much fun doing so for my birthday the only complaint I had was the drink service was not the best. But the music and atmosphere was good.

Yelp
What a fun concept! It's a sports bar with an outdoor volleyball setup, seamless indoor/outdoor flow, swing chairs on the lawn, counter tables inside with booths you can reserve for sections with bottle service. It has it all! The Decoy hosts parties well or great after work happy hour specials. The drinks are tasty- my ranch water was refreshing without being too sweet or too sour. And the staff was all very friendly and welcoming, checking multiple times that we were taken care of and enjoying ourselves. I definitely recommend dropping by for a fun time!

Yelp
Came here with some friends and booked a court. Ag first we had no issues until the entitled bouncer came and caused a scene with us. He told us that after 10pm only people 21+ would be allowed and nowhere in the confirmation email nor when we booked the reservation did it say anything about it being 21 and up after 10. The bouncer then cussed us out and started picking a fight with one of my buddies (keep in mind we're between the ages of 18-20 and this man is at least 50). I mean the disrespect was insane and he needs to be fired/dealt with.We asked to get a manager to help with our situation and the bouncer just had an ugly attitude. I guess he likes ruining kids fun since he obviously wasted his youth being miserable. We wrote an email to the manager to see if we could get a refund or some type of credit since we payed and didn't even get to use our full time and it's been WEEKS since that email has been sent and still no response. I will be showing up in person because this entire situation is unbelievable and unprofessional. We were also told we'd receive a credit/refund for the time we payed for and we have yet to receive any email regarding that.

Yelp
LOVE the Decoy for watching sports! The covered, outdoor space with the giant TV is perfect for watching our Astros. The service is always prompt and friendly, and management is great to work with for big groups.

Yelp
I love this place !!!! Ambiance is laid back and the pop up food vendors sever yummy food. The service is top notch and very accommodating. Great place to hang out play volley ball and have some delicious drinks and cold brews

Yelp
Came to play volleyball in their league. The decoy itself is a cool spot. It's new so they don't have a set "vibe" yet. Tuesday cocktail night is awesome and the drinks are good for a sports bar! Bartenders are solid as well. Excited to see how it will be in a couple of months!

Yelp
Great place to hang out and watch the game! Awesome dj while we were there to watch Texans game. Plenty of TV's and alot of outdoor space. Cool vibe for Sunday fun day as well. Our server Eryn was very attentive and checked on our party frequently.

Yelp
Emily, the friendliest and cutest bartender at The Decoy, made our night so much fun. The drinks she made for us were super yummy. Check out this place and ask for Emily. We will definitely be going back and taking our dog with us!

Yelp
A pretty cool addition to the area. The only thing it is missing is a dance floor. I was looking around last night while sitting at the bar and everybody was dancing around the tables.

Justin P.

Yelp
Noah was great, he brought our drinks out in a timely manner! Was very friendly. I liked Noah

Ray E.

Yelp
I bought a tap beer and asked for the tab. It was handed to me with a tip already printed and at a pre-selected %. How arrogant and how presumptive. Tips by patrons are VOLUNTARY, not mandatory, let alone the bar pre-selecting the amount and printing it out. I call bull**** on this practice. The anticipation of a tip for good service is in place to encourage good service. I was there on an early Sunday evening and the place was almost empty. No wonder. I will not be back.

Jason P.

Yelp
Was fun , would do it again. Fun night of watching Copa America Futbol... would have been more fun if Brazil would have won.

Cameron S.

Yelp
Very good bar. Very good service from Emily.. Pours a very good pint. Will be back, Emily was very attentive and didn't have me and my wife waiting. Thanks for a good night..

Garrett A.

Yelp
From out of town. The bar showed up on my Instagram and I knew I had to come here. Jordan was my bartender and she was one of the top 10 bartenders that had served me. Would recommend coming to this establishment for a chill experience and drink or 4.
google avatar

Polly G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our afternoon at The Decoy. There were plenty of TV's to watch all the games. We sat at the inside bar. The bar staff (Abby H) did a great job with our drinks - from the attentive service to the mixology! The bathrooms were clean and there were several food options next door.

Paul R.

Yelp
Great place, music atmosphere! Was there tonight and saw some familiar faces - let me know if you were there (the one I am looking for will get it)

Yelp
Popped in today for happy hour great ambiance for drinks. The servers were very friendly and were constantly around if you need anything. The place looks like to be like a good night spot as well

Yelp
Advertised on Facebook a $0 cover for the UFC 300 PPV, but when we arrived they tried to charge a $30 cover fee...it was our first time going, so not the best first impression.

Jordan E.

Yelp
Awesome spot! Ambience and customer service is amazing! Shout out to Miguel and Tiffany for taking care of their customers! If I could give 10 stars i would!

Arturo A.

Yelp
Great songs and vibes. I work near the area and came for a work happy hour. Abby is the best!

Yelp

Yelp
Awesome bar to go to for great service and good atmosphere! My bartender, Emily, was very attentive and super nice. Definitely recommend checking out!

Xiomara E.

Yelp
Security guy was rude to me and my parents . Seemed like a welcoming area but first impressions proved to me it wasn't .
