"What It Is: A Canadian-themed cocktail bar in Bushwick Perfect For: Drinks And A Light Bite, Eating At The Bar Bushwick bars are usually either divey or aggressively themed, but Upnorth is neither of those things. It is, however, a Canadian spot, and you might get that sense from the incredibly nice bartenders. One of them gave us an excellent recommendation for a cocktail that we wouldn’t have ordered otherwise. There’s also poutine, a few Canadian beers, and some charming ram taxidermy on the walls, but when it comes down to it, Upnorth is just a great simple bar in the middle of Bushwick’s busiest area (right off the Jefferson Avenue L). We had a burger and some poutine with smoked meat and mushrooms and everything was solid. We’ll be back, mostly so we can substitute tots for the fries in the poutine. The Verdict: We have a feeling this place is going to get pretty busy, so come for Happy Hour with a date or some friends before everyone else finds out about it. Stumbled upon this place on Sunday night with my group of friends. They were doing Karaoke and were an incredibly welcoming bunch of singers. Ended up staying for the rest of our night and couldn't have had more fun. Everyone was really nice, so were the drinks and food and even better was the quality of singing. Can't wait to come back!

I love having the Deep End in the neighborhood. The food is so good- the smash burger is my partner's favorite in all of NYC. I love the wings. Drink prices are reasonable, staff is super friendly, and they host great events. Awesome murals on the walls. Truly hits all the marks.

Catering, wow! We got a spread of tacos carnitas, veggie, and chicken from The Deep End for a 30-person picnic in the park, and what amazing compliments we got! I’m Mexican, so have very high standards for tacos in NYC. As a Mexican-owned restaurant, they definitely delivered! They even brought their own hot pan to help warm the tortillas. These were certainly a hit! Added a photo from one of their karaoke Sundays for fun. Also a blast and v warm, community and LGBTQ+ friendly feel. Highly recommend!

Good place to come chill and relax with friends. Drinks are decently priced (paid $52 for 4 margaritas) and taste ok. Coat check is $3 and there is a bigger dance floor in the back with a dj, disco ball and neon lights.

Been coming here for years as I'm part of a monthly cosplay circus show, Cat's Eye Cabaret, which is venued here, and know the owners. It's really a mainstay of the neighborhood at this point. I always look forward to doing the show and getting fries, tacos and a drink after. You should definitely check it out!

Think neon signs, mismatched furniture, and a cozy yet edgy atmosphere that makes you want to linger. It's the perfect backdrop for catching up with friends or even a laid-back solo meal. Now, let's talk food. The menu is diverse, offering everything from loaded tacos to comfort food classics with a twist. I tried the loaded tacos and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! The really took it to the next level. Portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch. They also have great vegetarian and vegan options, so there's something for everyone. The service was awesome too I give them 5 stars !

I think this is a pretty good spot. On at least two or more occasions, I did come here for the Tippler program (way back and got the spicy margarita). That drink was actually impressive, you would think spicy margarita is just a basic b drink but this one I was totally a fan of. The drink alone, Spicy Margarita would get a 4.7 out of 5. I actually need to go back and try it again. The food was not bad, just order wings and onion rings. Would come back to check this place again in the Ridgewood area.

I ordered delivery from here. The onion rings were amazing. Super buttery and crispy, they were served with a tangy mayo that I really enjoyed. The jalapeño poppers were also pretty good. They were stuffed with cream cheese and served with ranch. The vegan impossible smash burger was huge; I struggled to finish it. It was well prepared. I added a fried egg as well. I would've preferred a few more options for toppings. The accompanying fries were notably well seasoned. They could've been a little crispier, but that was probably due to arriving via delivery.

Service: bartender was very friendly and attentive. it was early Friday night and we had stopped by before a show at h0l0 so it was pretty quiet. Ambiance: decorations were pretty unique and had a lot of interesting artwork on the walls. the bartender told us that they host game nights and drag shows, which both sound super fun. played good music as well. pretty dark in there.

I ended up getting a spicy margarita, which had a lot of kick to it definitely a great drink for the summer. Had no idea what to expect when we wandered in here, but it was delightful. We ended up here on karaoke night and while we didn't sing, we had definitely had fun listening to everyone else. This is a pretty basic neighborhood bar, but the food was surprisingly good. My husband and I got a selection of deep fried bar bites and they were all good. We tried the Onion Rings, Chicken Fingers, and Jalapeño Poppers and enjoyed all of it. This is a small bar, and apparently pretty popular, so you may have to wait a few, but it's worth it and definitely a fun night out.

There are so many places to go to in this area. However, the Deep End is in a class by itself. Where to start, They had the coolest door guy, which many places don't and is a bummer from the start. The place is spacious and has great vibes. The manager was awesome and was just so cool to okay the carpet performance It was an awesome time. The bartenders were just as great. Anyone can seriously have a great time here. I've been to so many venues, but The Deep End will always be one of my favorites.

Came here during the Autumn Tippler event to try their signature cocktail, The Bad Hombre. My first time ever trying a jalapeño infused cocktail and it was delicious!!! I also ended up ordering the fried pickles to go along with my alcoholic beverage. The pickles were crunchy and juicy ( perfection). I stayed long enough to finish my drink and to order a burger to go. Only outdoor seating was available and the weather was chilly ( not quite enjoyable for me.... after all I'm a summer baby). While I waited for the burger to cook. I decided to redeem the check in offer of a free shot to warm myself up. Definitely was needed. Overall my short stay was good I believe I would have stayed longer if the weather had been nicer. Would recommend if the cool weather does not faze you.

Bruh. So boom. I record a podcast with my homegirls every Wednesday night from 10 pm- 11:30 and afterward we head over to the deep end for them 50 cent wings. I'm black black and I'm very particular about my wings... these are literally the top wings in all of NYC!! Also, Wednesday nights are Karaoke nights!!! The DJ is always super lit AND the singers are sometimes REALLY good. Last night was a blast. Can't wait to be back in a week. The best wings to order: BBQ Honey Mustard Also the chubacara burger that I brought home to my boyfriend was SLAMMING!! Also, they put CBD oil in any drink that you would like, making you feel like you could hug the entire world at once lmao. If you're looking for great prices, delicious food, and a good time- go to the deep end! I hope ya'll Can swim

Reliable neighborhood spot with a funky, eclectic atmosphere. The murals that line the walls are fun to look at while you wait for your drink from the bar. Literally anything from the menu is incredible. Also, fun fact, the team gave away free meals to neighbors in need weekly during the height of the pandemic. I ordered from delivery on Seamless so this review is reflective of that. I ordered 2 beer battered fish tacos and a side of chips and guac. Fish Tacos came with the box dented. Once taco was hanging out of the box the other one was completely flipped upside down with its contents spilled out (see pic). The tacos tasted pretty good. Comparable to Tacombi which you have to go into the city for. My only complaint was there was more batter than fish in the taco which after the way it was delivered further ruined the experience for me. Chips and guac was good. Guac is nothing super amazing on its own but it is tasty (I added cayenne and some more salt and it was poppin) and they give you a ton of chips that are fresh so definitely worth the value and I can appreciate that aspect. Overall I'm not sure I would order delivery again from here even though the food is tasty. Tacos were salvagable but I would hate to see what a burger would look like.

Great laid back hole in the wall spot, one of the queer bushwick scenes best kept secrets. Great food and strong drinks and a fun spot with music and interesting decor. Prices are kinda typical for the area, portions are generous. Sunday night is karaoke which is a lot of fun and the crowd and bartenders are always friendly.

I came here for the first time my friend was DJing for St Patrick's Day. It had a great atmosphere and we all had a great time. I later came for Tacos and I was in heaven. The carnitas, peanut curry pulled pork and the Beer battered fish taco were all amazing!!! My favorite night to go there is Taco Tuesday, they have 2 tacos and a margarita for $10. I love this place and have been many times since. I really want to try the goat cheese balls one of these times.

Had brunch here twice and it is the gangs new brunch spot ! Not a ton fo seating but they always have enough seats! Sometimes the seats come with pokemon friends to sit with you. Wel food and $30 for food and unlimited mimosas. The food is really really good. Burger comes with a sunny side up egg and thhe eggs benedict were delicious. The burger is also to die for, quality beef nestled on a soft brioche bun. Mimosas made with quality ingredients and the server there is the sweetest. Honestly she makes the whole experience the best. Always attentive and detailed. Allowing groups to have individual checks from the jump. She is accommodating and welcoming. The food is honestly the best for the price. Well worth the travel to come to the deep end. Also worth noting they host parties and events and dinner here as well. I have at 2am been to parties here but due to circumstances cannot review it for those purposes lol ! Also was told the fried goat cheese balls for diinner were great and need to make it back for dinner service.

Outdoor seating makes things easy and the owners continue to feed people for free in Maria Hernandez Park during the Pandemic. Eating here means helping feed the hungry. Plus, damn good Margaritas.

This spot appears to be a hole in the wall. But when you walk in it's super cute. Very artsy. I walked passed it and if I didn't see the street sign i wouldn't have recognized it. I had my 40th birthday there and everything was perfect! I booked the bar for my private party- it was the perfect size for it. I have no experience with throwing parties. Jon (the bar owner) was so accommodating. All correspondence was efficient and he always responded in a timely manner. His initial emails were full of information about the venue and options available. There is nothing worse than pulling teeth for details. I was allowed to add my own themed decor for my party. The food I selected from their catering menu was delicious- all my attendees said so. Sound system is perfect. The bartenders that night were so pleasant and easygoing.

We hired Jon and the Deep End staff through our event production company, Medium Rare NYC, for the planning of an extraordinary Wedding that took place on 4/14/18 at the Bronx Post Office. We cannot say enough kind words about the quality of their work, and the professionalism and dedication to their craft and our event. We had only 3 months to put together a wedding for 275 people and they took on the challenge and exceeded our wildest expectations. The bar ran exceptionally well and their incredible team couldn't have been more on point from start to finish. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I'm currently writing this review in between vomiting that's how bad it was. I ordered Southern Comfort Sandwich and slice of cake. I have no idea how the cake tasted, I gave it to my roommate. I never got a chance to make it. The chicken breast was dark. It looked burnt, when I bit into it I could tell that they cooked it with the heat too high. The actual meat was dried out. Between that and the breading. It tasted like actual dog food. It had like a pound of pickles wrapped in in a blanket of mayo. Just gross. After two bites (I took all the pickles off and gave it one last shot) I tossed the food out. Fast forward to 4 am I wake up with the worst pain ever. By 4:30 I started throwing up and currently (it's 5:26) I haven't stopped yet. I'm going to the hospital. That's how bad this food made me feel.

While working long hours, transporting patients with suspected coronavirus, it meant the world to us to take a break and enjoy a yummy and hearty burrito!! Don't order take out. They'll take your money and never show up even though they're open until 4am. If they can't make a delivery, or the kitchen closes at a certain time- they should not be available on yelp in the wee hours of the morning AND CHARGE YOU FOR AN ORDER THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DELIVER. Seems simple. I'd like my money back, but of course Yelp has no order history, and this establishment doesn't open until 6pm.

But when i showed up no line at the door, regular treatment, but one free drink at the end; the haunted house lasted for maybe a total of 5 minutes;very short and very overrated, wouldnnever come back.

I came here on a saturday night around 9pm. We just happened to stumble upon it while driving looking for a place to eat and maybe have a drink and listen to cool music. I yelped it and saw great reviews so we decided to check it out. I dont know if a cover charge is just on the weekends or if its a regular thing but I took off a star for that, it was $6 per person and $10 after 10pm..now I would understand a cover charge if the place is packed full with people but there was nobody in there, so to charge people a cover is kind of ridiculous. We had already parked the car and were starving so we just paid but I dont think we'll be coming back. I really liked the food, i ordered the chicken tacos and my boyfriend ordered chicken tenders with curly fries and it was super delicious and the service was great but I just dont want to spend $12 to get in to just eat food.

We were drinking a bit down the block at Bridge and Tunnel and saw a flyer for The Deep End so we walked over to check it out. It wasn't 100% set up yet, but we were welcomed inside anyway. This place looks like it's going to be really cool when it fully opens. I personally had a "kiss of the dragon" sandwich, (fried chicken, bacon, avocado, onion ring, lettuce, tomato, sriracha and sweet chili sauce. served with fries or salad.), a peanut butter cup milkshake, and jalapeno poppers. My friends got tacos, chicken fingers, really huge onion rings, and the magician burger and everyone was really happy with everything. Really excited to come back when your bar opens!

Fantastic addition to the Bushwick/Glendale area! Comfort food that makes everything right with world again. Highly recommend the El Chupacabra burger with curly fries and the jalapeño popper appetizer is a must have as well. Have a vanilla Porter on tap from The Bridge & Tunnel brewery that is just the right beer to get you through the doldrums of winter. DJ booth and a small stage with some tables to dine in makes this place a unique spot to enjoy some good food, cheer and live music.
