"In the land of sky-high rooftop bars and unneeded infinity pools, The Den remains a relatively low-key (and low to the ground) drinking option on The Strip. It gets bro-tastic on the weekends, but if you’re here, that’s probably what you’re looking for anyways. At the new location, the chef can see each diner’s face and may adjust service or the size of dishes accordingly. The cooking remains innovative and satisfying, incorporating audacious, humorous ideas into Japan’s highly formalized kaiseki tradition. "The Den is an ideal spot to go on a Wednesday night after your performance review came back not-so-hot and you need a place to get drunk with a fringe friend who won’t judge you. While it does get rowdy here on the weekends, midweek is pretty low-key, and you can always enjoy the fire pits on the patio and above-average bar food. $2 off all beer during Happy Hour is a nice feature as well. "This unexpected sidewalk cafe framed in a deep blue, sparkles amidst the adjacent storefronts on this bustling stretch of Sunset Blvd. Metal chairs and tables are sprinkled beneath the storefront’s awning. The pretty French and American pastries displayed in the walk-up window will no doubt tempt your sweet tooth. If you’re in a savory mood, the eggs on toast, mini quiches, and avocado toast are just a few of the gems on the menu. If you’re feeling somewhere in-between, go for the waffles which are topped with bacon and a poached egg, or choose from a fun selection of sandwiches and salads.
