Distillery at Greylock Works

A little gem well worth the stop! Great local ingredients and complexity in the cocktails. It’s safe to say you will not experience these flavors anywhere else. Five n/a cocktail options for non imbibers and/or your designated driver. Highly recommended.

LOVE love love this place!! Their cocktails are delicious (so cool they forage their ingredients), the customer service is always kind and welcoming, and the ambiance of the space has such a great vibe!

Love everything about the Distillery: the cocktails, the artisanal rum and gin, the projected Italian movie, and the ambiance. Ryan was generous with his time, poured us 3 exceptional cocktails (Aviation, Manhattan, Elderflower Gimlet), and shared the history of his craft. A must do. Open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, so plan accordingly -- you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful afternoon at the distillery. Planned on stopping in for a quick drink and stayed for awhile chatting with Daniel. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about their spirits. We had several of the cocktails which were unique and tasty. We ended up purchasing bottles of their spirits to try and recreate those cocktails at home. Between the relaxed environment and Daniel’s hospitality, it made for a memorable afternoon! Would highly recommend when you are in the area!

Interesting and delicious cocktails, with and without alcohol. Really comfy place with unique, hand made and hand foraged offerings. The distiller is charming as well! Well worth your visit.

Its hard to write this review because I'm not sure if we appreciated the cocktails or owner more! My husband and I found ourselves with a broken down car in North Adams and just happened to roll the car into the parking lot of the Greylock Works building. After calling AAA we were stuck waiting and ended up wandering into the beautiful renovated mill. Grateful that the building was open to the public and had clean bathrooms, you can imagine our delight to find a distillery (and an open one at that!). We wandered in and were greeted by the owner who chatted with us and lent a sympathetic ear. I ordered a daiquiri and my husband got the blackberry smash (I think thats what it was called), both absolutely delicious! With our reasonably priced and crafted-with-love-cocktails, we sat comfortably while we were on and off the phone with AAA. 5 drinks later, we found ourselves not able to get a tow, cab or Uber. The owner, Ryan, generously offered to drive us to our hotel. Wow, I've never experienced kindness like that from a stranger! If you are ever in the area I highly recommend this place for the DELICIOUS cocktails/spirits, gracious service and impeccable atmosphere. Also shout out to the building owner, Sal, for being kind and giving us grace by allowing our car to sit safely in the lot overnight.

Very cool space and delicious booze. We bought a gin but the spiced rum was also super tasty.

We had a nice hang with the owner/bartender at this little spot. They only do gin and rum and since I'm a fan of the former, I was all set. I'm also a fan of going off menu and he was able to make a great drink with cardamom, one of my favorite flavors. Brought in a tasty porchetta sandwich from the place next door and had a good time. Just needed to bump up the heat a bit.

Really enjoyed the short visit to the distillery. Daniel is the consummate host and nicely shared info of his distilling process. Before leaving had to grab some rum. Got me with a sampling of a spiced rum. My wife enjoyed her variation of an Aviation. Give it a try and enjoy.

This was an amazing find - we got tastings of their 8 different bottled offerings (4 gins, 2 rums, 2 barrel aged cocktails) and then ordered 8 different cocktails among the 5 of us, all of which were outstanding. Highly recommended!!!

This place is a proverbial hidden gem in the Berkshires. Like at some top world restaurants, such as Noma, Babel, and so on, the Distiller forages for unusual and compelling ingredients year-round, and using hand-made methods from ages past now largely lost to time and automation, crafts a spirit for every season of a unique, arresting flavor profile. The place has at once a hip, relaxing and unpretentious vibe, part bar/lounge of organic decor, private tasting and screening room, and alchemical chamber of curiosities, with the huge copper still displayed prominently. The distiller, erudite and cultured in virtually all areas, also down-to-earth and laid back, is happy to chat for hours about the arts, humanities, maths, particle physics, sports, you name it - and of course the distilling process and its intricacies - or hang back quietly, working with the still from time to time, and leave patrons to their personal conversations. And one can buy full bottles of the saintly spirits, sold exclusively by choice in the Berkshires. Not sure that a few of the reviewers here 'got' the place. If there were Michelin stars for Distilleries-cum-bars, this space would certainly get some.

Loved the distillery! The customers in front of us said he made amazing drinks and I couldn't have been happier. My mojito was full of flavor but also not overly sweet or anything. Was delicious. I also tried the pina colada. Soooooo tasty. Definitely wild go back!

Amazing cocktails that are carefully crafted to perfectly match their gin and rum. Tried each of the gins (broken down by the seasons) and was pleasantly surprised at how different each were. Purchased a bottle to bring home which we can't wait to show off to friends and family!

The most perfect gin. Incredible owner. Don't hesitate to go. Such an amazing unique experience.

Still haven't tried the spirits there but received a very nice note from the establishment responding to my review and apologizing. In it I was informed/ corrected about the gin I tried at Mass MoCA in that Greylock is not the gin made and served at the Distillery. I look forward to trying the Forager gin next time I'm in town.

Well worth the trip! My wife and I were scouring the internet, trying to find something to do that was open during this pandemic. The Distillery at Greylock Works caught our eye so we visited. What a delight! The knowledgeable and friendly owner/operator answered out questions and let us taste his regular and special edition spirits. You must see the hand hammered Spanish copper still! We've never tasted a more appealing spiced rum! My favorite included seared orange peel - perfect for a rum old fashioned! The Forager Gin was also exquisite! Don't miss this place! 5 Stars!
