Homey spot focusing on global vegetarian & vegan soups, sandwiches & mains, plus coffees & teas.
"Although Doshi House functions as more of a coffee shop with food than an actual restaurant, everything here, from the coffee to the baked goods, is vegan-friendly. You might have to navigate clusters of UH and TSU students draining the wifi for group work, but those folks are what make Doshi House feel even cooler. Plus, the ability to quickly order jackfruit or Korean BBQ-inspired tacos along with flavored iced lattes makes Doshi all the more useful when you need a quick snack." - gianni greene, chelsea thomas
"The inviting atmosphere at this community hub has made this cafe a neighborhood favorite. The team behind Doshi House leads with warmth, and a range of vegan and vegetarian options provide a welcome alternative to some of the more meat-focused restaurants nearby. Consider the vegan Korean barbecue tacos; flour tortillas filled with potato, quinoa, and a house sauce; and a host of excellent coffee and tea options, such as the coconut cream-based Hawaiiano, and Japanese matcha tea." - Kayla Stewart
"Doshi House in the Third Ward serves as a hub for both TSU and UH students, as well as anyone that wants to feel college-age hip by association. Everything inside is a bit worn in, like furniture you’d encounter in a secondhand store or your coolest friend’s living room, a vibe even more enhanced by the number of study groups clustered around the shop. The wifi can be spotty, and there aren’t banks of outlets, but the coffee and snacks like jackfruit tacos and crispy lumpia are delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy. If you like a bit of a din while working, Doshi House and its large outdoor patio are a great place to hunker down for a couple hours of work" - chelsea thomas
"Owned by a UH alum Deepak Doshi, this eclectic coffeehouse, art space, and vegetarian café is a cozy option located in the heart of the Third Ward. Grab a pastry, specialty coffee, or its Not-So-Butter chicken, a vegetarian curry made with seasoned soy protein, and then settle in for a study break or a book chapter or two." - Minh Truong, Brittany Britto Garley
