The Drip'N Crab

This food was SO GOOD I had to go back to the cart at the end of the meal to rave to the chef. Buttery, so flavorful, perfectly amount of spice..just so delicious. If I left a bite untouched it was not intentional. I don’t know if any place else in Portland you can get seafood boil like this. Cannot recommend enough.

This was our first time trying a sea food boil and it did not disappoint! The guy taking our order was very friendly and helpful. He let us know the restaurant next door was available to us for seating, otherwise we would probably have been freezing lol and gave us advice for reheating at home. We ordered the dayum boil for two and it was more than enough for us. Flavor was amazing and super buttery. Will definitely recommend to all of our family and friends :)

I literally cannot believe how good this food was. Maybe I just miss the south but I devoured this plate and made my partner try it but was glad he didn’t eat too much! The old bay and the corn and the shrimps and the crab— everything was so good. Also thanks for the bib? I made a mess. I love you ladies!

We ended up getting one of the boils and were super excited to try it. It takes a little bit of time but it's worth it. Plenty of seating and they give you everything you need to enjoy the food. The only thing was that it needed some salt in our opinion. Everything was boiled well and perfectly cooked. With some additional salt, it would have been AMAZING!

Our first time at Lil America….We had no idea what to expect from Drip’n Crab but were so glad we tried it. We shared the Killingsworth boil (and took a lot home) and it was amazing. Whatever is in that magic sauce is the stuff of dreams. The proprietress and her Sunday employee were super friendly and helpful. We will be back!

This was our first time having a seafood boil and it was SO good. Located in a food cart pod with plenty of seating and shade. The gals working were super kind. Will definitely be recommending to anyone visiting the Portland area!

This seafood was so good! Hot! Fresh! Fast! The crab was so meaty! The corn the shrimp everything was perfection! Absolutely some of the best seafood I’ve ever had.

We ordered the Datdayumbag and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection and the sauce was to die for. Staff was also very friendly. Thanks! We‘ll definitely come back. 🙌🏻

I can't explain it. You have to try it. I come from mosier and I knew I needed the day in Portland and enjoy this. I have to say this was worth it 100%. I'm not a seafood person, I came for my son for a 1:1 time and he was so grateful that I brought him here. The lady was friendly and again, I loved the ambiance and area. 100% recommend

I love the idea of having seafood from food trucks. This food truck is located at one of the newest food cart pods in Portland. It is enclosed with fence so I feel quite safe. It has lots of outdoor seatings with covers. It also has a large indoor air conditioned sitting area with good circulation in case you worry about Covid-19. While we were eating indoors a worker came and cleaned every table. I really apprciate how clean and safe they are there. Well, I just want to say that their sauce is so delicious. It has very good flavor that I wish I could take it home and reuse it on other dishes! However, it took such a long time for them to make the dish. We ordered just one dish to share and to try out their food. I read other reviews that they gave you lots of food for the price. So we thought we could share one order of Alberta grab bag. What a mistake! I was disappointed that for $14 you get two small potatoes, one sausage (very oily and fatty), one corn and three crab legs that were very, very skinny. They give cash discount and we paid $10 for the dish. I was hoping to have more seafood than other non-seafood items. Although the sauce was very tasty, I was more hungry after splitting this grab bag with my husband and the long wait over 50 minutes! I don't think it should take that long to make such simple dish. It was good that I got plastic gloves because it was definitely very messy with the oily sauce. I also found it very difficult to eat crab legs without any tool other than my fingers and teeth. Perhaps we need to bring our own tools next time. Tips: Order food from this food cart and then head over to other food carts and order food there. By the time you finish eating your meal then you may be able to get the order as your afterdinner appetitizer.

All the way from Mexico to try this place, and this assholes are closed, they don't even answer the phone they have listed. On welp says it opens at 1500 hrs. But not sign of them opening. WORSE PLACE EVER!!

In amongst about a dozen food carts at the CORE cart pod (a few blocks south of 82nd and Powell), is a totally unique cart that serves Southern style seafood boil. Nicely seasoned (Cajun spices) food at a good price point (you know seafood is gonna be more $$ than usual cart offerings). Since we weren't too hungry, we ordered the Alberta grab bag............and it is as advertised: a crap shoot of assorted items from their menu at a discounted price. For a bit over a 10 spot, we got a whole sausage link, half cob of corn, 2 small red potatoes, and a small partial snow crab cluster. Were hoping for a bit more seafood but again, it's a grab bag. And it was very tasty, coated/drenched in buttery cajun spices. The menu is small with less than 10 entrees total. Expect to spend about $20/head for a meal and expect to get grubby (though they do give you plastic gloves!). The one thing that I found almost untenable was the extremely long cook time. 40-50 cooking time?! And it wasn't even busy this early Sunday evening. Is the long wait worthwhile? Only if you have plenty of time and a strong craving Cajun crab boil. But this cart is located in a pretty strong diverse cart pod (CORE), so this will be my future strategy for eating here. Order a meal from here, knowing that crab will be your main entree. But also order items from 2 or 3 other carts to serve as appetizers or 1st courses (and eat 'em) since you WILL BE WAITING for crab. Now to review the CORE cart pod!

Absolutely delicious. I got the Alberta crab boil and every part of it was delicious.

I was at the Core yesterday and heard that Drip'N Crab was now selling their sauce and seasoning. I was SO excited and had to grab some. I got their small bottle of seasoning and the bottle of sauce. They gave me a run down on how to use both and I was stoked. I also decided to grab some of the Drip'N pasta because I've been super excited to try it. This is sadly where the disappointment started. I was given my sauce/seasoning ASAP and told my pasta would be a few minutes. No problem. But a 15 minute wait turned into a 30 minute wait and then that turned into a 50 minute wait. A friend I was with also ordered pasta and after 40 minutes, he went up to the window to check on it. He got his pasta and they totally forgot mine. I got mine about 10 minutes after that. I get things happen and the staff was actually so kind. The pasta itself was actually just like an alfredo though. A little bland for a seafood boil spot. I wish they'd drizzle some of the boil sauce over it or something. Or just add some spice. The little seasoning they did put over the top was more sweet than anything. Either way, it wasn't worth the 50 minute wait. But I'll definitely be using up the sauce and spice mix for my own seafood boils at home!

Three words- absolutely mind blowing!!! Seriously so good! Was visiting from Seattle and I still think about it everyday and just want more! Super reasonably priced too!

I'd literally follow this food truck anywhere. The staff is so unbelievably helpful, the flavors are amazing, and the seafood is so reasonably priced! Nobody does it better than the ladies working here. Everytime I show up they have a smile on there face and I'm just as happy because I know I'm going to be eating the most delicious seafood boil Portland has to offer. This food cart needs like 100 stars. This will forever be my comfort food spot.

Me and my wife ordered the regular seafood boil and it was very good the juice wasn't too much so it left you wanting more in my opinion I'm a fan, my wife melted butter wit garlic salt and set it aside for herself but I felt I didn't need it . I definitely would eat here

Holy Crabs, Guys! If you love seafood. Please, try it. I ate last week. Then I need to come back because I miss these crabs, and they sold out. Second time, that I came and didn't know they close on Monday, again. Now, I'm so craving love the food and love the people who works there.

I'm from Georgia where the seafood and crab boils are always good as heck! This place was mediocre at best. I would like to say that first and foremost, it took a very long time to have the meal ready and to cook it, it took about 40-50 minutes. I didn't expect to have to wait that long. The cart is in a food cart pod in SE Portland off of 82nd. Now with a name like The Drip'n Crab, they should really provide some dripping, yummy, sauce. This is just dripping with oil. Now I know that there have been a lot more crab boil places opening up and I did try a few others, which also weren't that great. There is a lot of interesting flavors in this sauce that really do not work together. Parts of it seemed very sweet and some overly spicy. Everything was very oily. I got the datdayumbag, I'm not sure why they would name it that, but there was more oil than seasoning. A lot of chili, like a very, overwhelming amount. The crab and shrimp were both very over cooked.. and the sausage was huge, but oily. Even the corn was extremely over cooked. I know people use butter, but crab boil sauces have evolved so much. A lot of them use way less butter and use other things to season the sauce. They should try some onion in the water when cooking the seafood. Then onto the pasta. The pasta could use a lot more flavor and was also very oily. This came out to a pretty hefty price after all was said and done. I couldn't finish everything because of how oily everything was. I believe one of the owners was there and she was short with her words, and really not very friendly, but seemed very busy taking 40-50 min to cook each boil and seemed like there was no help. I will not be returning. I will try out some of the newer crab boil places here in Portland or wait until I get back home to Georgia!

Their Alberta Grab bag is a fantastic meal for one: not expensive, not too long to make, you get lots off crab for the price, and extremely tasty!

If you haven't tried this place.... Run right now and order it all!!! We had the Cajun pasta, crab, shrimp, corn, potatoes, hard boiled eggs and sausage and every single things was amazing. Pictured is the DAYDAYUMBAG but it doesn't do justice to the portion size. I would say one is enough to share but it's so dang good you better get one for each person!!!!!!

OMFG theeeee best seafood boil of my life. Hands down! The wait wasn't long at all, and the lady was so kind and warm. I can't believe how close it is to my house... verrry dangerous . I also didn't realize that shrimp can be peeled off so easily like this did. Wow just wow

I have only been here one time so far and I feel like I can't stop talking about it to my friends and family. It was so so good, I highly recommend it to everyone. It's located in a little food cart area where they have outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely plan to go back soon!

The food here is amazing I have actually told my coworkers about this place and we are all going tonight after work . The prices are pretty resonable as well. Highly recommend.

It's a great place to eat and FYI they shutdown from 3-4:30 everyday to give breaks to staff and restock etc so that's just something to know :)

Wow! You ever watch a crab boil mukbang and salivate over how delicious everything looks. This right here will fill that craving. I'm shamed I didn't take a picture before I dove in. I was a little hangry. I came home, took all my jewelry off and dove into my bowl of crab, potatoes, corn and sausage. Crab wasn't shriveled up but nice and meaty. Sauce was all over my face. Everything was perfect. Most importantly, the service was real and loving. Not like when I went to grab a beer at one of the booths and the wytguy said three words. I'm so happy to see BIPOC entrepreneurs out there doing it 100 times better.

Came here tonight with a friend to try their MLK boil. You need to try this place if you like seafood boils. It's the best in town. All of the seafood in the boil (king crab, Dungeness Crab and shrimp tasted so fresh and sweet. The sauce was flavorful without overpowering the seafood and it came with corn, potatoes, a whole sausage and an egg. What's a good tell that a place has amazing food? They sell out early. Make sure to get here when they open and you will absolutely not be disappointed.

If you want the worlds best seafood in a bag. Stop what you're doing and head over to the drip'n crab. Absolutely amazing and so flavorful. Make sure you try the pasta " thank me later" it's so delicious!!!

Great customer service and my food did not take long. However, the crab and corn was overcooked. The flavor tasted pretty good.

We got the MLK with a mix of spicy and regular sauce. It was so dang good! It comes with king crab, snow crab, 6 large shrimp, sausage, potatoes, 2 corn on the cob, and a boiled egg. The sauce has a slight sweetness to it, which gave everything in the bag the perfect flavor! The food was so good that I joked to my husband that if we had a baby (we don't), and the baby was about to fall while we were eating the Drip'N Crab, we'd probably let the baby fall

Simply delicious! Two of us shared dat dayum bag and it was plenty of food, cooked to perfection. We loved every bite. I'll try the pasta next time, which looked amazing as well. Definitely worth checking out...I know I will be back.

This is hands down the best crab I have ever had in my life. The flavor and seasoning is perfect and compliments the tender and slightly sweet crab meat. We got the Datdayumbag boil and everything was so delicious, especially the crab and shrimp, but the corn and everything else too. I am so grateful that there is a tasty crab boil spot with Cajun flavors here in Portland and I hope that they expand to a brick and mortar soon! Be warned that this experience is messy (shouldn't be news if you've experienced a crab boil before) but they provide you all the supplies necessary to support you in your journey. Stock up on paper towel, put on your bib and gloves, and get to work! Big thanks to the friendly staff - didn't catch his name but the guy who recently moved from Texas was so warm and inviting to me and my friend, especially with us figuring things out our first time there. Please go here, this is way better than your melted butter and crab experience!

Datdayumbag is the best dayum food I've eaten in a long time. At $35 it easily fed two. That sauce was everything!

I had datdayumbag and it was very good. It wasn't overly seasoned, the sauce was spicy but very flavorful. I got a fair amount of crab but was missing a couple of shrimps. The corn was super good. I will definitely order again.

Now I I don't know if it was just a bad day for this place but in my personal opinion this is the nastiest crab broil I've tasted in my life, Ive eaten at Drip'n crab last week I orders the biggest crab broil they have with everything with a side of Mac& cheese, for me to have spent $78 on this meal I though it would be worth my money first taste of Mac & cheese taste like craft slice cheese with heavy oils inside and the sausage they put inside the mac and cheese taste like grilled hot dog, now let's get to the broil I'm a Cali girl up north Oakland Ca this crab taste like it's been sitting in a box for hours it's was soft and the seasoning taste like mixed ethnicity foreign seasoning mixed with butter honestly it was terrible I live in Gresham so I couldn't return my mean ended up handing it over to a young homeless woman who I know would enjoy there meal, this is not a place I would recommend or go bak too I'm sorry
