Best Restaurants in Ealing | Where to Eat in West Ealing, Ealing Common | Eater London

"Andy Harris and Katie Millard’s treasure trove of a grocer has many good things to take away — pastries and breads from Brentford’s Rye by the Water, and lunch specials like ratatouille, three bean and bonito salad, or hortakopita. But the main draw, come summer or winter, is the soft serve, with a rotating cast of flavours — mostly fruit, but sometimes spiced with saffron or clean with vanilla — that gives Ealing an ice cream option to match anything in the city." - James Hansen

The Best Ice Cream in London | Where to Eat Ice Cream Gelato and Sorbet | Eater London

"Ice cream is cold. Before the Captain Obvious memes roll in, the obviousness is the point: the very best ice cream makers know that temperature is a modulator of flavour, a factor to balance when composing a dish. At the Ealing Grocer, a newish, wondrous food store from Andy Harris and Katie Millard, soft serve summer is just beginning, with freeze adding a jolt to rich vanilla, and apricots and strawberries introduced to pale custards. Right now, it’s saffron." - Emma Hughes

The Best Soft Serve Ice Cream in London for Summer 2022 | Eater London

"At the Ealing Grocer, a wondrous food store from Andy Harris and Katie Millard, soft serve summer is on its second coming, with freeze adding a jolt to rich vanilla, and apricots and strawberries introduced to pale custards, or sorbets made with mangoes and lemons." - James Hansen

The Best Dishes in London Restaurants | Eater London

"A classic vanilla soft serve distinguished by creamy, warmly rounded vanilla and a temperature profile that accentuates rather than mutes flavour — a reminder that cold is a vital part of ice cream's appeal." - Hester van Hensbergen

We visited this little gem on a Friday night for dinner. £45pp is excellent value for what was an extensive set menu. The owners are lovely and there was an all around friendly and personal atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Looks nice enough from the outside but absolutely stupid pricing. 4.50 for about 75g if Turkish delight, Passatta for 16 pounds 😂 it’s more expensive than Harrods literally

Amazing little shop. Cooked food onsite is amazing. Andy and his beautiful wife are incredibly nice and the watermelon sorbet is a dream. It's a little slice of European flair in West London.

This shop is amazing. Yes it's expensive but many of the products are varieties and quality that you can't get elsewhere, and who's going to do a whole shop here anyway? With the enthusiastic advice and tips from the staff, you can tell that the products are very carefully curated so perfect if you're after a few special additions to make a really outstanding dish. And it's one of those places where you just want to buy *everything* so be careful! A shop to dwell instead of rushing in and out with a shopping list.

Well established in a lovely corner of Ealing. The Ealing Grocer is a treasuretrove of fine food. It's the ultimate local shop where you will be warmly greeted. Advice is on hand should you need it. Owner, staff and customers swop ideas and discuss what's on offer. Buy raw ingredients, freshly prepared foods or settle down for a snack or even dinner if you join the supper clubs. The quality and passion of all involved will be disappoint

At The Ealing Grocer I experienced some of the warmest customer service I’ve encountered in recent memory. The joy and passion with which this business is run is evident by their recommendations and their interactions with their customers.

My wife went to this shop to try and support Local Business Day and was shocked by the rudeness of the owner. She took her custom elsewhere.
