Swanky, art deco–inspired spot for contemporary cuisine & classic cocktails in pretty glasses.
"On the ground floor of the Hollywood Historic Hotel, The Edmon exists in an in-between area of Hollywood, and for that reason alone, it never gets too slammed. The art deco space has good cocktails, a crowd that’s there because they want to talk without having to scream, and plenty of comfortable chairs at the bar for you and your first date who wouldn’t commit to a full dinner. But if dinner is on the itinerary, come for a few pre-drinks before walking one block over to Osteria La Buca." - brant cox, brett keating
"Located on the ground floor of the Hollywood Historic Hotel, The Edmon is one of the best bars in LA that you probably haven’t been to yet. Its Melrose and Wilton location is definitely closer to Hollywood than downtown, but it’s also right off the Melrose/101 exit, so it’s convenient for both parties. The massive bar has an aggressive art deco interior in an exciting way that makes you feel like a rich person from the 1920s. They have great cocktails, solid bar food if you get hungry, and you never have to fight for a seat at the bar." - brant cox

"The Edmon is a place that everybody forgets about, but this ground floor bar/restaurant inside the Hollywood Historic Hotel is a great spot to have a cocktail and figure out how many of your date’s profile photos are actually retouched headshots. The big, art deco-designed space feels like you’re drinking in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s mansion, and its quiet (but not dull) atmosphere will ensure you hear everything they have to say about why it’s so hard to break into voiceover." - Brant Cox, Brett Keating
"Trevor LaPresle is the new kitchen lead at The Edmon on Melrose. He previously worked at Del Posto and Daniel in New York City before running a corporate gig opening hotels for Mexico’s Groupo Habita." - Farley Elliott
