The Eighth Room | Nashville's Premier Lounge & Music Venue

This is Nashville's best kept secret! I love everything about The Eighth Room, the entire bar is well thought out. From the seating to the decor. Every seat has a perfect view of the stage, and all of them are super comfortable! The private room is one of my personal fave! Make sure and check it out when you go! I also love the tiki bar, outback. It's cozy and super relaxing, it's shaded with big fans for the hot days of summer. I believe I saw heaters out there for the colder nights. The staff is AMAZING! If you go, make sure you ask for the manager, Julianna, ask her to give you the grand tour, she's the best! The bartenders make excellent drinks, and the food is delicious! Hands down, this is such a wonderful place to hangout, have a party in the private room, date night, girls night out... Every show I've seen there has been superb, whether it was a full band or Jane X doing her thang solo! I love Friday night "Funk Night" the DJ plays the best dance music, I highly recommend this place! 10 outta 10 for me.

A Hidden Gem Across from Zanies! The Eighth Room is hands down one of my favorite finds in Nashville. Located right across from Zanies Comedy Club, it’s the perfect place to pop in before or after a show. The vibe is on point—cool, laid-back, and just the right amount of upscale without being pretentious. The staff is incredible—friendly, welcoming, and really seem to love what they do. You’re treated like a regular, even if it’s your first time in. And the drinks? Fantastic. Great selection, expertly made, and reasonably priced. Whether you're into craft cocktails or just want a solid pour, they've got you covered. If you're catching a comedy show at Zanies (or even if you're not), make sure The Eighth Room is part of your night. It’s a total vibe and an awesome spot to hang. Highly recommend!

Had an awesome time at this spot. The atmosphere was super chill but still had a great energy—perfect lighting, good music, and just the right amount of buzz in the room. The drinks were definitely the star—creative, well-balanced, and seriously well-made. You could tell the bartenders knew what they were doing. Great place all around. Will 100% be coming back.

Swanky. Great lighting. Excellent cocktail program...not too busy to find a table if you go during the week. Plenty of parking. Free parking i might add. This bar was a private venue until just recently so it's nice to be able to stop in for a cocktail on the way home. Close to ML and close to 12South. Try a spicy marg or an espresso martini.

Super Cool Vibe!! Love the service by Juliana! Best Server in the building! front door has professional and polite security and front desk. Erin and Jarvous are great hosts into the building! Chris playing hotshot bartender and Jason Hollis is a bad ass DJ! Sound was excellent!!Drinks were Top Notch and Service was absolutely phenomenal! It was one of the best nights ever! New band created “ COWGAYS” ! Absolutely LOVED IT!

The Eighth Room Nashville's Premier Lounge and Music Venue has an amazing vibe. The ambiance is sleek and cozy with great lighting and comfortable seating. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the live music Nashville feel made it a perfect spot for an evening out. Friendly staff and quick service rounded out the experience. Definitely one of the best bars in Nashville.

Started going here for the new Wednesday night comedy show and this place is a great time. Happy hour old fashioned is a treat. Bartender is super friendly. Staff comes around to check on folks, and the aesthetics are awesome. Really great stage for a performance space as well.

Came in after a show at zanies and the staff was AWESOME! The music was a vibe and the bartenders were accommodating to everyone in our group making us mock tails and customs drinks and they even gave us some YUMMY popcorn:) stumbled in here but will definitely be coming back:) shoutout to all the staff and dj for making it a good night!

Attended a concert here and I enjoyed this venue. The sound/acoustics don't hit the back of the room quite right though. The service was super friendly. If you do go to a show, make sure you understand the seating related to your ticket type. I saw a lot of disappointed faces when they realized most seating was reserved/VIP.

By far the coolest spot in Nashville. They always have some great music on and some of the best made drinks in the entire city. Staff is great and you never have to wait on being helped. Also the vibes inside are immaculate.

Whatever you do, make sure you ask how much the bourbon is that the bartender is recommending! Otherwise you might end up paying $42 for a shot of bourbon. Kind of scumy. The only reason she recommended the bourbon was because of the price. (I now realize). It's kind of a con and I got conned! Maybe they have good intentions, but the owners come from LA and that shows in a big way. It's a place that seems out of place in Nashville. The only reason I went was there was an Americana showcase, but looking at their calendar, I can't imagine I will ever have a reason to return. Kind of a shame it took over for Douglas Corner which was such a great Nashville Institution. They suckered me for a couple of expensive drinks. Probably the last money they will ever get from me.

Attended some friends' shows here over a few weeks. Didn't have a good experience the first time and held out hopes for the others, but sadly it never got better. Initial impressions: the perfume...immediately headache inducing. It overtakes the room in a way that will linger on whatever you wear until you wash it. Drinks? Expensive. A basic well shot & mixer is gonna run around $14 and they're not exactly generous with the pour. I'd hate to know what premium spirits cost. Once the band started, the vibe was weird. A lot of seating where people should be standing for a rock and roll show. Then the only standing area was back by the bar. As a result you have people lounging on couches for a high energy rock show. The music was also weirdly quiet for the vibe. After talking to some folks, I heard they get noise complaints from the neighbors. If they had spent less money on "designer" wallpaper and scent machines, they could have probably paid to have the building properly soundproofed. But hey, what's more important for music? Overall, I really doubt I'd ever come to see a show here unless it's free and I really like (on a personal level) whoever is playing. And no, I had never been to Douglas Corner, so I'm not one of the ones complaining about change.

Eclectic, Plush, fun small venue. Catch a live act here, you won't regret it. George Jetson meets Elizabethan decor. Hip vibe, friendly service.

Best Lounge in Nashville! The Eighth Room has monthly events for any type of entertainment: Rock, Country, Karaoke, Burlesque, everything! Everytime I go, I feel like I'm part of the Eighth Room Family! Great staff, great environment, great drinks, great experience! This place deserves all the praise! Thanks for such wonderful times!

Place is really great, ignore the bad reviews, they were getting review bombed by people mad the previous historic venue closed because of the pandemic. The owners did a great job and put a really nice system in and have great bands playing

This place has an incredibly unpleasant odor that reminded me of coleslaw and old people breath. The drinks were overpriced and the staff told me my blouse was ugly.
