"Three veterans of the Dallas bar and dining scene are teaming up to open a new pub in McKinney, CultureMap reports. The Elwood is slated to open in early 2021 at Hub 121, a mixed-use development at Alma Road and SH 121. The brains behind the venture include Kelly Wesner and Gabe Whatley, co-owners of Cold Beer Company in Deep Ellum and Fillmore Pub in Plano; and Rick Shew, formerly of Nickel & Rye. The new spot will offer “next level” bar food, according to CultureMap, including brisket tacos and migas, fried bologna sandwiches and more." - Brittanie Shey

I visited this place and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, the food came out on time, and overall, I had a good experience. I would have liked the drinks to be a bit stronger and the music to be more varied, but I would definitely come back and recommend it.

Google
This was an okay meal. I felt like the options were fairly limited. We went with a group and we all kinda settled on something. Also it was super dark so it was difficult to see what was going on in the booth. Both items were fine, but not memorable enough to think I REALLY need to come back here! The hummus bowl was a weird combination of items but everything was fresh.

Quiet neighborhood bar. Great cocktails. They have many different kinds of old fashioned. Food was good but vegetarian options were limited.

While they do definitely have TVs with sports games on, I definitely wouldn't consider it a sports bar. It's a little more upscale than some neighborhood pubs or bars, considering the decor and dress of most of the patrons. They do have a decent beer selection and some really cool food options, such as the broccoli appetizer that we had. It really was unusual but in a good way and I enjoyed it a lot. I was in the mood for something light so I had the Mediterranean Bowl and it was good as well, especially the hummus. My wife had a burger and fries and enjoyed them both but especially the crispy fries. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to try it more of the menu items and beers on tap.

Google
I’ve eaten here before, but this was our last visit. The food could have been good if salads were fresh and meals were warm. The service was lousy, and the staff seemed more interested in vaping and hanging out at the bar with their friend’s than serving customers and for a non-smoking place, it smelled like stale cigar smoke. Do yourself a favor and go across the street and have a decent meal .

Google
Love this place! The Staff members are super cool and fun to chat with. Great drink choices and the food is incredible, ANDDD they are open til 2am everyday! Have a back pation with some games you can play out in the grass. Super cool summer spot.

Google
My cousin and I were looking to grab a quick drink and some bites on a Friday night and we just so happened to see The Elwood. The place looked really laid back and there wasn’t a crowd (which was a plus). We sat at the bar and ordered the nachos, bread pudding and a couple of cocktails. I can’t remember the names of the drinks, but they were okay. The nachos were different but in a good way (really good flavor)! The bread pudding wasn’t like what you’d get in New Orleans but it was still enjoyable.

Google
We really enjoyed our visit. My daughter and I just spent the morning doing mani-pedi's and this was a great stop for a snack. We had mostly appetizers this time around. All were really good. They have a great patio and I like that they have the garage type doors to open the inside to the fresh air. We definitely enjoyed our beverages!

Yelp
The ambiance is great, with trendy decor and cozy, dim lighting--definitely a great spot for a date night. The outdoor area is also nice, featuring disc golf, cornhole, and a pleasant view of a tree grove. The food is good, upscale pub food. They have an Oklahoma Onion Burger!!! The service is very laid back, this means when you seat yourself it might take a while for them to even notice you.

Victoria P.

Yelp
The burger was fantastic--juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. When I couldn't decide between fries or tots, my server recommended the tots, and they were amazing--crispy and easily some of the best I've ever had! The only downside was the smell of tobacco drifting in from next door, which took away from the experience slightly. Otherwise, this spot delivered great food and friendly recommendations!

Yelp
Upon crossing the threshold of Elwood BFD, my wife and I, famished and eager for a culinary reprieve, were immediately enveloped in the warm embrace of hospitality. A staff member, swift and spirited, greeted us with a smile as radiant as the morning sun, bestowing upon us menus that promised a feast fit for royalty. With a flourish, they expertly navigated us through the myriad of delectable choices, setting the stage for an evening of delicious delight. As anticipation danced in our bellies, we embarked on our journey with appetizers that sang of tradition and innovation in equal measure. The bruschetta, a mosaic of ripe tomatoes atop a golden canvas of toasted bread, was a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor. The deviled eggs, oh those morsels of pure indulgence, were nothing short of divine--a symphony of creamy, savory notes that played a rhapsody on our taste buds. And they had bacon... need I say more? With our appetites whetted and our expectations soaring, we ventured forth to the main event. I, with a carnivore's resolve, chose the steak--a testament to the chef's prowess, each slice was a tender testament to the art of grilling. My wife, with an eye for the classic, selected the steak sandwich, a harmonious blend of succulent meat and artisan bread that transformed the humble sandwich into an object of desire. The food, oh the food, was nothing short of sublime. Each bite was a revelation, a moment of pure, unadulterated joy that lingered long after the last morsel was savored. The sanctuary of Elwood was pristine, a tableau of cleanliness that spoke volumes of the care and attention to detail that the establishment upheld. Service, that invisible thread that weaves together the tapestry of dining out, was good. While our waitress was not super friendly, she she moved with a grace that ensured our every need was met with a seamless efficiency that only added to the evening's enchantment. The ambiance of Elwood was a gentle cocoon, a haven from the cacophony of the outside world. The murmur of conversation and clinking of cutlery provided a soothing soundtrack that allowed for intimate conversation and a shared experience that was both comforting and invigorating. In conclusion, Elwood is great addition to the area, it's a place where the alchemy of flavor and fellowship is practiced with a deft hand. It stands as a beacon for those in search of a meal that satisfies--a great place to dine, to talk, and to bask in the simple pleasure of good company and great food.

Yelp
The service is the best part of this place! Great service at the bar! The ambiance was solid very fresh. They had a decent beer menu, too! The food was..... ok. Their chips were cheap store bought. We shared the BBQ pork was fatty and low on flavor! The tacos were OK, but the tortilla was low grade! The queso was decent, but again, chips were nooooooooo. I did mention the great service!

Martin B.

Yelp
$12 for a glass of crap wine - I can buy a bottle and have a better time ! The meat/cheese board - what a joke - go to Krogers! What type of people are you trying to attract- Obviously not any because it's vacancy! Soon to close down!

Michael M.

Yelp
Cool, upscale vibes bar with gastropub level eats! A decent craft beer selection and some craft cocktails to put you in a great mood. I'd say self-medicate but I'm not a doctor, I just pretend I play one TV. Call me McDrinkie!! Anyway I had an amazing shrimp n grits because I needed some comfort food and a blankie after a Urologist did some gritty things to my virgin prostate. I would have cried in my cocktail if I didn't suck three down faster than you can say "Be Gentle!" to a Urologist. I had The Walker : Bingham's Bourbon, Amaretto, Lemon juice , and a smashed Luxardo Cherry [smashed kind of as a reminder of what that mean man did to my prostate], but after 3 I was feeling no pain which was a good thing b/c I wasn't allowed any NSAIDS for a week prior. The place was dimly lit to help hide my shame. Dear Mr & Mrs Elwood BFD keep a seat warm for me, I'll be back!! OH also I got the Brussels Sprouts and Oklahoma Smash Burger to go--the food and drinks were ALL ON POINT.

Yelp
We came in today around noon after church and it had been a while. We had been several times when they opened and it was good. Great service, food. We walked in today and there was someone behind the bar, and someone at the bar. That's it, and us. It's seat yourself, so we came in, no greeting at all. The bartender and patron (maybe they were friends) were involved in a lengthy conversation about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce so maybe they didn't notice us. After a little while, someone came over and asked if we wanted drinks. Not sure his name because he didn't say, just asked about drinks. I think maybe he smiled once at the end, but seemed like he didn't really want to be there. Food was good but unremarkable. Too many places now to choose from locally to feel like we are doing them a favor by coming in. Wish them well, but doubt we'll be back.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Great service, good food and good drinks! Great small place to enjoy a game or something in a small environment!

Michelle M.

Yelp
Watch how you pay here. My husband and I enjoyed a nice lunch date here. However, 5 days later my card was charged $500 by Southwest Airlines. Kinda the coinkidink when it was the first and only time I used this particular card. I gave a good tip too. Sooooo annoying.

Krystal C.

Yelp
Great vibe, great bar, great ambiance. I want to make sure it's clear that we enjoyed this spot as a bar, for sure. Cocktail selection and beer selection was good! The only thing we didn't care much for was the food. My husband got one of their specials and it was just ok... same with the broccoli appetizer... just ok, flavor was fine but it was a little too greasy for my liking. My burger was pretty good but didn't come with a side, although I was told it didn't come with a side when I ordered. Service was slower than we would've liked, but they were also pretty busy, in their defense. We'd go back to hang out and get drinks, watch sports or something, but likely not for the food.

Brian C.

Yelp
Great menu options, great drinks and amazing service. The patio is well shaded and has plenty of seating.

Kristin R.

Yelp
We had friendly service and a really good steak sandwich! The fries were also thin and had good flavor. I was excited that they had a cider on tap too! We topped off our meal with the bread pudding and ice cream! Overall a good experience and would return. It's more of a bar (as advertised) so typical noise level is not great for a date, but it's a fun place for sure! I noticed they had lawn games inside that I'm sure they put out on busier days. I will note the sandwich was a tad spicy for my liking, but anyone who likes a bit of a kick will love it! Also- I'd like to add the bathroom was clean and smelled nice!

Ro L.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place due to it being so close to home, however I don't recommend it solely based on service. I ordered the shredded beef tacos, served with tortilla chips as it's side, not only were they cold the tortillas were chewy. However the taste wasn't bad. The hummus appetizer was small, but very tasty. Service was probably the worst I've experienced in quite some time. Not only did the waiter rush us when they decided to help us, they never came around to our table however were very attentive to the tables around us. I contacted the business by email and didn't get much of a response. Any place is worth trying.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Drinks was perfect. French fries and hamburger delicious. They have a nice patio. Ambiance ok. Service ok

Yelp
This place was totally meh. Bummer since it is so close to where we live. We got the pork shank, the steak and fries and the loaded tator tots to share between 3 of us. It was plenty of food, but everything except the tots did not hit the mark. The pork shank was not cooked long enough as it was not tender, but also tasted like it was cooked too long as it was dry... The bbq sauce that accompanied it did not help. It tasted watered down or something, something was not right about it. The Mac and cheese that came with it was okay, noodles were cooked properly, not mushy, but it lacked seasoning, as did most of the food. The steak might have been the worst thing we had, which sucked considering it's the most expensive thing on the menu. We asked for medium rare and it came out almost well done. The inside was almost grey like the steak was not fresh or previously frozen. It was not seasoned properly and had some butter on it that never really melted. Our server never came back to check on us after our food was brought to us to see if everything was okay or we would have sent it back. The fries that came with it had no salt on them. At least we thought... There was a bunch of course salt at the bottom of the bowl like salt was an after thought. Any fry is good if salted properly! These were terrible. The only thing that stood out to us were the tots, but how can you mess us loaded tots... all the food was presented very nice and looked good, but it all fell short in flavor. This place could have potential, the inside seems super chill for having a drink and just hanging with some friends, but I wouldn't order anything from the menu unless you just need a snack.. get the tots.

Yelp
One of the new restaurants in the new Hub 121 in McKinney. We came here on a Saturday afternoon to grab lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Servers were friendly and welcoming and service was quick at getting our food out. We sat out on the patio and had the brisket tacos which were delicious. Not a fan of the thick chips that came out with it but the salsa was good. All in all, I have to say that this place is definitely worth the visit and I will definitely be back to try some other dishes and drinks!

Ella H.

Yelp
Terrible service. Server forgot our order and didn't tell us until 45 min later. He brought my boyfriend's burger out first and didn't see us waiting to eat it the whole time was on his phone.

Khalilah J.

Yelp
I've given this establishment 3 chances....2/3 visits I walked in, sat at the bar and wasn't acknowledged at all. Bartenders are very busy and have lots of guests to work with at the same time. (The bar wasn't full) A guest feels valued when they walk into an establishment and are greeted with a, "Hello" or "Be with you in a moment!" This doesn't happen at The Elwood BFD. I've experienced this twice and several friends in the area have volunteered stories of displeasure with the staff in other capacities (not just rudeness when you walk in). It's seems that you must be a "regular" to get prompt service here. ‍ I do have to mention that one bartender did finally approach me and asked what I wanted to drink (5 mins after entering). I didn't spend my money there. I decided to move on to another establishment in the same shopping/dining complex. This might be my last effort..... Tread lightly here.....

Jin C.

Yelp
New spot in a pretty new area (121 Hub). Came here with family and another couple. FYI but BFD stands for Beer, Food, and Drink. I RARELY give 2 stars, but it happens (explained below). Atmosphere - 5/5 - Very modern and nice outdoor patio. Great lighting as well. Staff - 3.5/5 - Took their sweet time to come around, but I am assuming because it was fairly new. Also, had an issue with a food item, and it was not handled very well. Food - What we ordered: Hot Broccoli ($8) - 3/5 - Not worth it IMO. Deviled Eggs ($7) - 4/5 - Topped with candied pork belly. Loses a star as I do not know if it is worth $7. Loaded Tots ($12) - 5/5 - Loaded with Brisket and all sorts of goodies. Definitely recommend this. New Joker ($14) - 4/5 - Pastrami sandwich that was good, but nothing special. Brisket Tacos ($12) - 3.5/5 - Little too oily for me. Chicken Nuggets Kids Meal ($7) - 1/5 - A huge piece that was RAW. This was for my 2 year old. I am glad I took a bite first (as I usually do to be safe), and if I didn't, my kid would have eaten raw chicken. So how was this resolved? Not very apologetic (clearly doesn't understand having kids). They took the raw piece back to the kitchen, recooked it, and brought it back out us. And yes, still charged us. Do you think my kid ate that meal? Would I come back? Yeeeah, I do not know. Part of me wants to come back to see if mistakes have now been corrected, but do I risk spending more money and perhaps getting disappointed again? Overall, I do understand mistakes happen (see my Sweet Rice review), and that is no problem. However, you should do whatever it takes to support your customers.

Kris G.

Yelp
Cass and Jared are serving up craft drinks with the mellow music of the late 90's on Christmas Day. There are always regulars here looking for the best drinks and service combination! I tried the brisket tacos and literally ordered another round!

Steve R.

Yelp
Chris Stapleton cover band, booze and food. Band was very good and had I not known better, it could have been Chris Stapleton in person. Bring a chair. Burger was odd and I didn't finish it. Drink selection is basic, Tito's, gin, rum, JD and a few others. Basic beer selection too. Nice atmosphere all around. Would come again.

Kevin M.

Yelp
I've been to or attempted to eat thrice at Elwood in McKinney, Texas. The first time was shortly after the grand opening. The food was cold... icy but at least we were served food and beverages. Second attempt - we seated ourselves as the bartender directed us to do, sat at a table for 15 minutes and no one came to the table so we left. The third attempt - was just 2 weeks ago. The place was EMPTY, we were directed to grab a seat wherever we liked, sat for 20 minutes and NO ONE came to the table even though employees were standing around talking amongst themselves. There will be no more attempts. Each of the times we left due to being ignored, we walked to another restaurant in the area and were served immediately.

Beau J.

Yelp
It's nothing special for sure. If you're looking for lackluster bar food, this is right up your alley. Service was meh as well. Girl behind the bar seemed to have a feisty attitude for no reason.

Tina C.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but it fell short in several areas. The restaurant itself is situated in the new 121 HUB area and is one of the few places that have opened up so far. They have a nice sized patio, which would be nice to sit at when the weather is nice outside and there were plenty of booths, tables, and bar tables to sit at, as well as a full bar. There was a sign to seat yourself so we grabbed an empty booth when we arrived. We started off with the loaded tots, deviled eggs, and hot broccoli to start off. The loaded tots were pretty good and the queso and jalapeno crema that was on top was delectable but some of the pulled brisket pieces were pretty dry. The deviled eggs were pretty good and was topped with candied pork belly and sriracha sauce. The hot broccoli was a bit underwhelming and there wasn't enough of the garlic parmesan crema sauce on top so it was pretty dry as well. For our entrees, my husband ordered the New Joker pastrami sandwich, I ordered the brisket tacos, and we ordered my son the nuggets and fries kids meal. The pastrami sandwich was pretty good, but nothing amazing. It did come with a side of the house mac and cheese, which was really decadent and tasty! It was almost to the point that it had too much cheese, but again, nothing wrong with that! The brisket tacos I ordered were super greasy as the tortillas were drenched in oil. The flavor itself wasn't bad though and the jalapeno salsa that came with it was good. We ordered my son the nuggets and fries meal and all looked well when it came out. There was one piece that was way bigger than the others so my husband went ahead and ate that piece. To his surprise, the chicken was raw and uncooked in the center! I can't even imagine if my 2-year old son was the one to eat that piece. The server took it back and they just recooked the raw piece and brought it back out with some more fries and called it a day. (We were still charged for the nuggets meal). All in all, this place has potential, but whatever food we received that wasn't raw/undercooked was mediocre at best.

Christa M.

Yelp
Wow ,how different this second visit was. We sat at the bar again. I had to ask the bartender to wipe down the bar and it wasn't like someone just left. Thr bartenders weren't happy. The smash burger tasted funky. Funky in a bad way. It wasn't smashed and the two small parties were just there. No care In making then. Shoestring fries were less than room temp and a bit soggy. The Elwood burger also had a funky taste. Maybe bad meat. Based on this, probably not likely to return.

Ethan M.

Yelp
4.2 Food 5 Service 5 Atmosphere First of, the atmosphere inside was awesome! Super modern and had an awesome outdoor patio, and lots of large TV's both inside and out. The bar looked cool as well, and I would love to check it out some other time. Our server Orlando was awesome and helpful, and helped us order our first round of drinks, I had a tropical rum drink that was super good, and all the other drinks looked awesome. We ordered the Broccoli as an appetizer, at it was fantastic. I tried the S&V sandwich which is a salt and vinegar chicken sandwich. I certainly had my doubts and wasn't sure about it, but Orlando assured me it was good. Certainly wasn't my favorite, but was still super good. Sleeper pick was the brussel sprouts, super delicious. If some bacon was added in they'd be top tier. All around a fun experience, will be back again for a big game!

Jared T.

Yelp
Love this place! Great food, neat atmosphere, reasonable prices. Will be back soon.

Jordan B.

Yelp
This spot is a total winner! The "fish & chips" here are legit, and their old fashioned is straight-up killer. The staff is always chill and laid-back, making it my ultimate go-to joint when my buddies swing by. Solid food, amazing drinks, and a vibe that's just right for a guys' night out. It's my top recommendation for anyone looking to enjoy some good eats and drinks in a laid-back atmosphere.

Laura C.

Yelp
Saturday night around 5pm. Walked in and several staff was at the bar loudly talking, the look we got made us feel like we were crashing a party lol. We sat at the bar and were barely acknowledged. Two bartenders working, one walked past us without making eye contact. After a few minutes of being ignored we decided to go next door to Chop Shop. Much better experience there. Not sure if the owner reads these reviews but this place will not make it if you keep you current staff.

Christine E.

Yelp
Ambience was nice. Sat in the shade patio on a beautiful day. Service was OK and when I told him I was having some issues with the food , they were quick to apologize take it back to the kitchen The Elwood Burger was flavorful and not overwhelmed by the toppings, but could really benefit from not being a preformed Patty. Just my thoughts. the Greek vinaigrette dressing is very flavorful and I was happy. I got it on the side for my salad Well, I come back? Yes, I think I will come and try it again and let you know my thoughts Edited Well, I just tried to charge me for my meal twice. I have to think about coming back.

Rachel G.

Yelp
Came in to check out this place as we are foodies and always looking for new spots to check out. Convenient location right off 121. Staff was friendly, service was slow. Nice environment. Drinks were really nothing special and focus primarily on whiskey/bourbon. They did create a vodka based drink for me which I was happy with (decently priced). Food was similar to Applebees. Had deviled eggs topped with "pork belly"--was really a bacon flake--extremely small. It wasn't even big enough for me to determine a taste nor that it was "pork belly". Outside of that they were bland and hardly filled to the rim. We also had the tots which were pretty basic. We packed up and ended up at another restaurant to finish the evening. Not a place I'd go back to unless everything within a 100 mile radius is closed. I wanted to like this place and had high expectations but it was a disappointment to say the least.

Sherri M.

Yelp
Zach was great. Great food. Loved the patio. Dog friendly. They even offered water for the dog and brought her some raw veggies.

Christine T.

Yelp
The food was just OK. Would like it if they had healthier choices. Mostly bar food options.

Mike D.

Yelp
Service bad. Food good for x pet when they forget to give you some of the order when you pick it up.

freddy t.

Yelp
Hidden gem. I liked their drinks, food was better than expected. I plan on being a regular

Cyndee B.

Yelp
Walked in and no one even greeted us. It was obviously our first time there and the place looked filthy. We stood around for about 3 minutes with the bartender looking at us like we fell off a turnip wagon. We left.

Nicole C.

Yelp
I always recommend this place when someone needs a nice, casual patio / bar that's also open late. Menu is good, but I have only eaten there once. We usually will go for a drink on a weeknight evening as it's the only place in the burns that's open until midnight I'm sure. Ha! Dog friendly also! All of Hub121 is, why we love it so much.

Marc D.

Yelp
Cool place with nice patio, friendly service, good drinks, but the food it just alright. Ive been twice now.. Drinks are really tasty. The deviled eggs were really good. The Oklahoma smash burger was pretty good, but it needed some pickles and mustard. It was supposed to have pickles according to the menu, but it didn't have them. I had the basic burger. It was supposed to have mustard according to the menu, but there was no mustard. So twice my burger has come without something it was supposed to. The buns the second visit were so hard. I tried the salt and vinegar chicken sandwich and it was good. If you didn't know it was S&V I'm not sure you would be able to pinpoint that's what it was. It wasn't strong, which to me was a good thing. Skinny fries are meh Ahi salad apparently is good.

Alan C.

Yelp
Nice place to meet friends or do business deals. Area is growing as it has a stage outside and more spaces coming for other restaurants. This place will stay busy in future. Hamburgers and salads are good for the price. Excellent customer service. Big chicken sandwich on menu. I recommend trying it. I tried the cobb salad. Cocktails are good for price also. Nice for date or meeting friends. Not a place for families. Can handle small and large groups as they have booths, hi tops and outside seating. No Reservations needed and you seat yourself. I recommend to try and enjoy experience and food for yourself. Hard to find once parked so you will need to call once there or walk around to find. ENJOY!

Jo E.

Yelp
Food was meh. Atmosphere was good, back patio was nice & quiet. Waiters seemed pushy as I was there on a date and we did keep ordering drinks. Felt like we were "bothering" the waiters being there so long. Waiters not very positive, like as if WE were keeping them there. Left long time before closing time. Won't return.

Mark S.

Yelp
BEWARE!!! Watch your bill people, in McKinney TX location I ordered the Elwood burger $12 on menu (good and not bad price) and water. They inflated to $17 on itemized receipt , then automatically added 20% gratuity (ok fine) then if you look at total on itemized receipt vs the merchant receipt that you sign asking for more tip which shows a dollar or so more than the itemized receipt. Not cool! Not a bad place and nice to hang with friends but this practice is not good and cheats people. I tip well normally but leaving this review out of principle. Shame on them!!!

Tonice S.

Yelp
I haven't tried the food, so my rating has more to do with the service. The bar was not nearly full when I arrived. The male bartender ignored me while he served other customers that got there after me and even seemed to be tending to non-urgent bar management while I sat there looking at him. He was pretty quick at getting my drink once I ordered and it was relatively tasty (Tequila Fresa). I decided to leave early and get my check. The bartender didn't even thank me. I wasn't feeling any warmth at all, although I'm a very polite and courteous customer. Probably won't return.

Yelp
The Joker sandwich was very good. Simple menu but tasteful. Good drinks and atmosphere. I will come back and try the apps

Yelp
Food, drinks, and service were pretty good. Side dishes were better than mains, Restaurant was clean and had a nice patio. The 3% credit card fee will keep me from coming back, I prefer credit card fees to be included in the prices on the menu.

Yelp
Visited in July 2023 with a large group of friends. FOOD - Very average, especially for the prices. Cheese & Meats Board app did not have proportionate quantities of items to feed at least four people, and the almonds sat in a pool of honey which made for a mess. The small loaf of bread was rock hard and inedible. Chips & Dips - This item was simple and satisfactory. Beef Fajita Nachos - The fajita meat contained gristle and had a somewhat odd sweet flavor. Serving size was good, but the quality of the meat could use an upgrade and a flavor tweak. Mediterranean Bowl - This was a healthier option and was average. Steak & Fries - Two of our group ordered this entrée and both steaks were over-cooked and had to be refired. SERVICE - As most restaurants these days, this place was understaffed which caused our server to be absent for several minutes at a time, multiple times (meal took three hours). This is a fairly good-sized place, and our server was tasked with covering too many tables/groups. ATMOSPHERE - We were placed in the far back part of the restaurant looking out over the patio. DO NOT sit here from 5:30-8pm in the summer as the sun pounds the inside with no relief from shades and/or ceiling fans. Bar area has a good vibe and there are plenty of TVs. Overall, this place has upside if they fine tune their food and bolster their service (and figure out how to block the sun coming in the back!).

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night around 6pm for dinner. Was surprisingly slow, but the amphitheater next door was having a live band so I can see that. Very good ambiance, server was on top of us and made sure all our needs were constantly met. Food was good, only downfall was the cream cheese in the burger. Really overpowered the burger and made it hard to eat. Other than that completely recommend all the other food.

Yelp
Second time here. Creative menu. Loved the Tejano Toast. Enormous portions. Good service. One of my regulars now. Solid.
