"Three veterans of the Dallas bar and dining scene are teaming up to open a new pub in McKinney, CultureMap reports. The Elwood is slated to open in early 2021 at Hub 121, a mixed-use development at Alma Road and SH 121. The brains behind the venture include Kelly Wesner and Gabe Whatley, co-owners of Cold Beer Company in Deep Ellum and Fillmore Pub in Plano; and Rick Shew, formerly of Nickel & Rye. The new spot will offer “next level” bar food, according to CultureMap, including brisket tacos and migas, fried bologna sandwiches and more." - Brittanie Shey
