Quick service. Picture perfect empanadas. Pastry is crispy and salty and the fillings are flavorful. Impressive they’ve been around since 2003.

Found this place on accident. So happy i did! The variety of empanadas were great. They were warm when the boxed them for me. Everything is fresh made. I ordered over a dozen. I recommend the dozen for the savings. While I was there I had the spinach & egg. It was yummy! The gentleman who helped me was very nice & helpful. I don't live anywhere near this place but will definitely be coming back.

One can order from the machine outside. Standing outside, we can smell the wonderful baked goods. There are so many varieties of fillings that we had a difficult time picking just a few. We finally decided on: spicy chicken, prepperoni and cheese, guava, and apple. The empanadas were warm when got them. Crispy crust with plenty of tasty fillings inside. Really yummy and will have to go back to try other flavors!

I ordered the three empanadas combo with a salad. I had vegan eggplant, pumpkin, and veggie empanadas. They were delicious. I sat on a wooden area in front of the restaurant and watched traffic back up. No chairs or tables. I was chilling for a minute. Trash can at the corner.

It's o e of those hole in the walls you definitely don't want to miss. Visiting L.A. make this part of your experience. You won't regret it. For the vegans..they got you!

So many variations of empanadas even some non-traditional ones! The beef and alfredo I felt were okay, but I loved the spinach and truffle empanadas! they also have a soy beef if you are vegetarian or vegan.

I have been eating these empanadas for years at the Mar Vista farmer's market, this time I got to get them at the restaurant always tasty, fair price , and excellent service!

I love this place, they are at the farmers market in Mar Vista on Sundays as well. Limited parking but so worth looking through the neighborhood. These empanadas are crispy flaky on the outside with a warm fully stuffed inside. I love the veggie one, although I'm not vegan it is seasoned to perfection. With that chimichurri sauce too? Omg ITS AMAZING. And you can order an 8oz to go as well. It's definitely the best chimichurri I have ever had. Inexpensive and so easy to order online or at the window. They have some small bench seating around.

Delicious empanadas! Service is fast and friendly. No frills, just a window where you pick up your order from. My favorite sweet empanada is the apple. There is metered street parking in the front or residential street parking on the side streets.

This is a tiny place with a screen out front for ordering. It can be kind of hard to see the screen depending on where the sun is. Service is fairly quick, since they just pull your order. We ordered 6 empanadas and the caprese salad. - beef: I liked the flavor, husband didn't care for it. very beef heavy. - mozzarella tomato basil: too wet, lacked flavor. - spinach cheese and egg: I loved the flavors and texture of this one - ham and cheese: nothing special about it but tasty - egg and sausage: solid choice - corn: we both loved this one, and wish we had gotten more - caprese salad: very simple but delicious

I went on a weekday around 2:30 pm and found parking just around the corner. I'm not sure how it would be on the weekend or busy hours since this is on a busy street so I assume most spots would be taken. Empanada Factory doesn't have seating and it's one of those places where you just order and take out. They do have an iPad type thing that you can order off or you can wait in line and order with a person. I ordered ahead of time so pickup was super quick for me. The food itself was delicious. I got about 4 different ones - lamb, tomato, beef, and sausage. ALL of them were delicious and they tasted just as great the next day. I would definitely come back and try other flavors they have.

I've driven past The Empanada Factory several times on my way to the car wash and decided to actually stop this time to check it out. I like that these empanadas are baked instead of fried. I do wish they were a little browner but otherwise the filling and crust were each delicious. I particularly enjoyed the beed empanada and its spicy flavors. The garbanzo salad was also surprisingly good, fresh, and made me feel healthy. Service was fast and easy. You place your order on a screen and either tap or insert your card to pay. Would definitely stop by again to try other empanadas or a sandwich and sides!

Solid empanada spot in Culver City. They have a few benches in the front, but otherwise it's only for takeout. They have tons of empanada filling flavors so there's options for everyone. My personal favorites are the spicy chicken, lamb, and spinach cheese. All well seasoned.

These were solid. I got the chicken empanada and the spicy steak empanada, with a side of chimichurri. The spice wasn't overpowering and the chicken one reminded me of good curry chicken. I would definitely try this place again. Prices: $4.50 each $11 for 3 $43 for a dozen (12) $6 each for gluten-free $68 for a dozen (12) gluten-free

Meh empanadas. If I bought this in Argentina I'd be pissed. There is a great empanada place ;) in Venice that kicks a$$. I would go there instead

So excited for gluten free empanadas! Hope they expand on some of the gf flavors soon! Love they have frozen gf dough you can buy as well.

Bought the combo thinking they would at least be filled and I was wrong spent 13$ on a hollow out empanada

I was headed to a Friendsgiving and wanted to bring an easy Argentine dish and was super excited to find gluten free and vegan empanadas at the empanada factory. They were absolutely delicious! Having celiac, it is almost near impossible to find gluten free empanadas, let alone a version that is vegan as well. I haven't been able to enjoy empanadas since I was a child. Thank you for creating this delicious option for people with food allergies.

Super good Argentinian empanadas. They are baked and not deep fried. The chicken are divine, the beef are very very good and I like the spinach. Of course everything is pricey these days and they're all handmade so you get what you pay for. But I recommend you pick up 6 to 12 and enjoy.

Stopped in with visiting family the other day. I told them since living in the neighborhood I've only been there once after a major disappointment and man did this place follow up right on point. My cousin had us taste her terrible beef empanada and decent apple empanada. This place has disappointment me before so I wasn't surprised. If you're looking for empanadas, I'd say keep looking.

Small shop where you walk up and order to go. Friendly staff and owner who made me feel happy to support his small business. Empanadas: a good portion, filled with deliciousness. My favorite is the lamb, but they have vegetarian options as well! Parking could be a little challenging but it's worth it!

I usually go to Empanada's Place for empanadas, but I decided to try this place. The beef, chicken, and spicy steak empanadas were pretty good. They were $5 each and you'd probably have to order several if you wanted to get full.

Their empanadas are great. They just don't follow the hours on their door. It's Wednesday 5pm and its closed but their sign says they are open til 7pm. I drove over and it was an annoying waste of time.

Today, I stopped at this establishment on a lark. Bought 4 empanadas (chicken, onion, lamb & cheese) ... Came home and mixed their sauce with an olive tapenade from Trader Joe's... did some shrimp in ginger and garlic in the airfryer... Japanese cabbage and onions in the wok in sesame oil...And just had an early supper with my husband and it was an exceptional repast. Sometimes, all you need is an inspiration and the empanadas from The Empanada Factory are fantastic! Seriously, what an unusual and unexpected occurrence...

Great everything but the taste wasn't anything I was expecting HARD BOILED EGGS IN EVERY EMPANADA THE WORSE I spent $40 I'm so hurt right now

The chicken one is an Indian flavor and it was really good with the chimichurri sauce, great sauce! I love guava cheese treats but because this one was made with cream cheese it's just not the same, and I also don't know what the source was for the guava, not my favorite though it wasn't strong enough, it felt like I was eating a fried donut from the fair with not enough stuff in it, I think this one would be better with different cheese and guava paste. I would come back to buy just the chimichurri even! But will try other flavors next time as well. :)

These empanadas were tasty, but lacking in filling. My ham and cheese was pretty Much just the dough.

Really good empanadas! I've tried almost every kind they make, and I love them all. Very easy to grab and go. They also have a food truck. Apparently this is the "go-to" spot that everyone knew about, except me. Don't be like me - go right now! Lol

I absolutely adore the empanadas here! They are created with the name on the dough itself to make it easy to know what you ordered. There is such a variety of choices you can have a different empanada every day and still have more choices to go! So good

Love this place! Best empanada bar none. Love the varieties of savory and sweet kinds. I mostly like the savory ones. Classic steak ones is amazing. Best chumichurri sauce there is. The only thing is the price is a bit steep for the size. Nonetheless, if you're looking for the best tasting empanada, I highly recommend them.

So disappointed. The quality has gone down SO much!!! :( This place has been my go-to for empanadas since I moved here, especially because they had a cheese-only empanada which I can't find anywhere else, and I loved the dulce de leche one as well. Even preferred this place over Nonna's. The dough is so thin and crispy, flavorless. Fillings are okay, but the outside ruins it so much. Just not good quality, at all. Very cheap tasting. I'm so upset honestly, this used to be one of my top spots to eat in LA. I hope they see some of our reviews and do some improvements. It's a true shame. I will not be getting empanadas here anymore RIP Empanada Factory!

I've tried many empanadas before and I have to say these by far are the best ones. We always order these for our corporate employees and just recently ordered some for my family and friends. Everyone is obsessed not only with the rich flavors but the sauce it comes with. Ordering through the phone is seamlessly and the people who work there are so sweet. I've signed up for their rewards program also. 10/10 would recommend

I want to love this place but they barely put any filling in the empanadas. They are also a bit smaller than what you'd hope for. Over all I'd say the flavor is pretty good but because there is little filling they are quite dry.

We were looking for an empanada spot while we were driving and saw this place and thought it should be super good.. unfortunately, it was the worst. The fries were frozen fries or even if it was frozen they fried the fries for too long. After all, they were overcooked because they tasted so DRY. They just chopped up some things to taste like garlic which it did... we did think it would be better if was powdered garlic fries. But I see where they were going to make it fresh but the garlic was overwhelming. I had got the lamb, spicy steak, and spicy chicken empanada and I did put a picture of a Calzones.. and that's exactly what I felt like I ate.. like a dried-up stew or even pasta sauce with meat in a empanada. It was not good at all. Don't waste your money here. I do like spicy food and my partner doesn't like spicy food and we both can tell you that both empanadas were not spicy at all. The sauce that we got with it was pretty much oil. Thank you.

If this was the place at the Banana Festival today. These empanadas were terrible. There was an empanada truck there last year that was amazing. Not sure how we got stuck with this place this year.

Came here because a friend raved about it. No doubt their chimichurri sauce is bomb. I liked the Chicken empanada best, followed by the Egg, Cheese and Spinach. Didn't like the Lamb cuz it was sweet. The Egg and Sausage was ok. Each empanada is $3.45. Looks like they make the food early and let them sit under heat lights all day. Too bad they were out of Eggplant when I got there in the late afternoon. It's a very small place and easy to miss. I found neighborhood parking easily. If I came back, would be before lunch and just get the Chicken.

I am fortunate in that I do not live nearby, otherwise I would eat TWO of these everyday! So good! And so quick and easy to order!!

I love that they offer a few different vegetarian options but wasn't a big fan of the portion size for $4.50. I wish it was bigger or filled more.

The best empanadas I have ever had. Simply perfect. Tried many flavors and all of them are simply Devine. I love all their vegetarian option more than meat one even though I'm not vegan or vegetarian. Try tomato, cheese, eggplant and corn!! Uhh I just love this spot. Try it and I promise you you will be back every week just like me.

What a disappointment! We ordered a selection of empanadas and they don't come even close to those from Lala's, Chilenazo or Grand Casino. The apple dessert didn't taste like apples, and the dulce de leche/banana dessert was another tasteless mush.

I live down the street from here and although my brother did not have a good experience 3-4 years ago with their food, I decided I really wanted to try them. My mom used to make us empanadas all the time growing up so between my brother's poor review and my mom's amazing empanadas they were up against an already stiff review. I walked up to their order window and ordered their beef, chicken, and tomato basil mozzarella empanadas. I think I paid just under $12. They included a side of chimichurri sauce for dipping. Walking home, I decided to try the beef empanada. It was so tasty! I almost did not want to dip it into the chimichurri sauce because the flavor of the beef empanada was perfect as it was! But I did dip it and I don't know how it could improve any more, but it did. When I got home, I decided to try the basil, tomato, mozzarella empanada. It was very fresh tasting and you could taste the basil, which is very rare in cooked and fried foods. Lastly, although I was already full, I took a couple bites of the chicken and dipped it into the chimichurri sauce as well. Yum! I was more than pleasantly surprised at the taste of all three of the empanadas. My brother had mentioned that in the past their crust was too thick and they barely had any filling. These were overflowing with filling and very thin crusted. They were perfect! They are all perfectly seasoned, not dry either. Unfortunately, or fortunately, they are within walking distance and now I can eat more of these whenever I want LOL. They are such a great alternative to cooking dinner and I get full off of one so three are more than enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. my mom is not able to make these anymore, so it is perfect that I found a place where I can finally indulge in a childhood cuisine that I've missed so much. These are awesome and I look forward to trying many more of their flavors.

I haven't been to their store but I got a mozzarella/tomato/basil empanada at the Mar Vista farmer's market, and had it slathered with a generous dollop of chimichurri sauce. I got several lustful side-eye glances at my good-looking empanada. I myself wasn't disappointed at my first mouthful of that perfectly-balanced filling. The chimichurri had depth and smokiness from chilli but also a red wine vinegar acid, and was much less herbaceous than I make it at home. It provided the complexity and piquancy that the more neutral-cheesy filling needed. The crust was perfect and I was well-sated as I chowed on this empanada as a fitting complement to my sturdy, dark-roast coffee. I can't wait to try out their meat empanadas, perhaps at their brick and mortar location. They should pride themselves on an empanada that has strong culinary legs.

If you want a filling meal at a reasonable price, going out to eat yesterday is a great option. I had their beef empanadas and fries, which are both delicious. It was perfectly soft and well-cooked, with flavorful stuffed meats. The empanadas were plentiful and, of course, of high quality. I was blown away by the service and the setting. Two thumbs up!

This place little brick and mortar store is really cute. They only specialize in empanadas and it is delicious. There are different flavors to choose from and I'd recommend them all. I'm not biased toward any flavor. I ended up getting their spicy beef and pepperoni empanada. The spicy beef was not spicy at all, but that is ok.The pepperoni was fine - it tasted like pizza. The store is really small and parking is mostly street parking. Seating is limited. Overall, I'd say it's a solid meal if you're hungry and in the area. Otherwise, I can't recommend driving out of your way to try this place.

In four years The Empanada Factory's prices have literally doubled while the pastries have diminished in size, and the quality and quantity of the filling has become poorer. The dough is thin and dry. The empanadas themselves are now formed by a behemoth machine that has replaced the minimal but welcoming old ordering and seating area. Their sharp and burnt seals are stamped with thin tasteless dough that mockingly resembles the crisp, fluffy, folded waves that line the half moon edge of a real empanada. Even the few meager cups of chimichuri that are still provided have somehow managed to become smaller. I'm sure the owner's new car is quite beautiful as a result of all of this, but today I mourn the death of LA's best empanadero as it has become exactly what its name spells out: a dour and soulless factory. Needless to say I will never eat here again. Adios.

Discovered this place on Yelp because Empanada's Place on Mondays and I'm so happy I did! Small, unassuming storefront, really more for pickup and takeout than eating there (although they do have a few tables inside). I needed a dozen empanadas and got a variety of the chicken, veggie, mushroom, spicy steak and lamb. Every single empanada I tried was delicious!! Great flavors and good filling to crust ratio. I think my favorite thing is that the name of the filling is stamped on the empanada so you never have to play a guessing game to which one you're eating! The chimichurri is also really good! Plenty of flavors to choose from and a dozen empanadas are $27, which I think is very reasonable. Since they're baked and not fried, also slightly healthier! Parking is a breeze to find on the side streets! Will definitely keep this is mind for future events!

Dang. Empanadas are great actually. We ordered two and then we ordered two more. Boop boop boop on the screen. Really easy. Damn, those empanadas were good. Seriously.

Mozerella , basil and cheese was solid . Nothing super fancy but tasted good and satisfied my empanada craving . Could tell it was fresh ingredients and baked . Boyfriend had the chicken one and thought it was decent - just a little bland in flavor . We would go back to tey other empanadas here .

Goood tasting and a generous portion for one empanada! The chimmichurri sauce is so good to put on top of the empanada. I saved some of it in the fridge. Its basically olive oil with parsley, garlic, and cilantro. Get the spicy steak empanada. It has shredded steak, onions, green onions, bell peppers, and bits of hard boiled eggs. All of these made it a flavorful combination. I think it may be better than Nonna's down the street because Nonna's are a lot smaller and I think it was deep fried where as Factory's empanadas seem baked. Factory's came to my work under Fooda and I want to see them return, $3 and I'm sold, especially with that savory sauce.

After craving empanadas for a while I decided to order delivery from The Empanada Factory today. I chose the combo with a chicken empanada, spicy steak empanada, apple empanada, and garlic fries. All the reviews here mention the chimichurri sauce, which wasn't included! I saw an option to buy "extra" sauce, which I assumed meant there's one sauce with the meal. Nope. For the empanadas: Chicken - okay flavors, not amazing. Spicy steak - not spicy at all and personally wasn't a fan of the flavor. Apple - tasty but nothing special. The garlic fries were really soggy. Of course I don't expect super crispy fries with delivery but they were undercooked. The one positive was the empanadas' baked shell, which was a nice alternative to fried. Unfortunately everything else was disappointing.

The Empanada Factory catered lunch at my work and it was super yummy. I got 3 empanadas (spinach/mushroom, tomato/basil/mozzarella, & mixed veggie) and chimichurri rice. Everything was delicious and perfect! The plate also came with chimichurri sauce which added the perfect kick of flavor. I highly recommend visiting this place!

Company catered empanadas for Cinco de Mayo Friday! Whoo hoo so I tried Chicken Empanada, Spicy Steak, Dulce de Leche, and Apple Pie. I liked that the Empanadas weren't fried but baked. The crust felt a little too doughy at times but held together very well. It was crunchy on the outer edges and soft and doughy inside. I liked the Chicken one a lot, tasted pretty solid and it wasn't too greasy. The Spicy Steak however, could have been more spicier, have more flavor, and less oil. The empandas were a good size but they're fun to eat and quick to eat, so I wolfed them down pretty quickly! I'd only recommend Dulce de Leche if you like really really sweet things, cause inside is straight up sweet sweet Dulce de Leche. No other words. The Apple Pie tasted better as it wasn't as sweet and had generous apple filling inside. But neither of these could I even get halfway through them... too much sugar.

Delicious savory or sweet empanadas to go. Like Nonna's in scope and price, Empanada Factory will make you the hero of home or work if you bring some by. Of course, you may need to first sample some in your car on the way! The apple is very good - imagine a healthier McD's apple pie. The spicy steak is definitely a bit spicy, but not that intense. The mushy insides are a little unappealing, visually, but not a deal-breaker. The various chicken or beef are worth trying, and I really want to try the eggplant empanadas next time. Park around the corner or on Robertson - look at the signs first, of course.

Overall: The empanadas are good but overpriced. Food: I ordered 3 chicken empanadas, a peach mate, and garlic fries. It came out to $18 Parking: Street parking Service: They're sweet and patient Heads up! There's no restroom available A dozen empanadas costs $30. I honestly would rather make some at home.

Its ok, i had my fair share of empanadas and i got to say it was underwhelming. i can taste all the different spices and indgrediants put together but it doesnt necessarily make it good. there was hype for there main sauce witch is just kinda oily lol overall its not bad its filling and fresh but nothing that makes your mouth water.

Great local spot. We had a list of vegetarian empanadas - all great! Spicy mushroom was super yummy. I really want to their desert empanadas next time around. We also got the garlic fried which were also great! Looks like most people get food to go, we stayed in and sat outside. Not a large place but can seat a small party. Parking is usually available on the street in front or on the side/neighborhood roads. Can't believe I've passed this place 100+ times and only recently stopped by. Will Undoubtedly become a regular here. Love that every empanada is stamped with what's inside, genius. Definitely take the time to support this local restaurant.
