"Denver’s newest independent brewery debuts in the Berkeley neighborhood on March 29. The Empourium brings a neighborhood with sessionable beers alongside César Chávez Park. A 1,500-square-foot tasting room features 12 taps, a mural by Drew Button spanning the entire west wall, and large south-facing windows that look out on the dog-friendly patio. A glass wall reveals the brewery’s 10-barrel brewhouse. Bang-A-Rang Brut IPA; Peace, Love & Pale Ale; Krusher Cream Ale with peaches apricots, and vanilla beans; Gettin’ Schwifty Saison; and Conditions of My Parole Coffee Blonde are among the first beers available during The Emporium’s grand opening." - Susan Stapleton

Nice atmosphere and really good beer with a bunch of variety. The bartender Jeremiah was super friendly and knowledgeable as well

Google
Really, really great beer. They have one named after me, Dope. Nice place to enjoy a brew.

LP

Google
I love that not only are the beers tasty, but lower on the abv side so you can have a few while also getting some work done on your laptop. Even better, dogs are allowed! The staff is the best, friendly and personable and owners are even better!

Google
Emporium is a quiet, welcoming, hidden gem on the edge of a long stretch of walkable, bustling small businesses of all kinds. The beer selection is unique and offers an option for every patron. I love their rice lager: Atari’s Lantern.

Google
Our second brewery of four for the day and definitely the best beer of the day. They just tapped Evolution Revolution Love, a New England IPA that was the bomb. I bought a 4 pack to take to friends we were meeting with the next day. Service was on point. Very friendly team. I like the vibe of this place and is on the to do list the next time we are in Denver.

Google
Great brewery! Everything I tried was great. Was especially surprised by the low abv English Mild. It was like 2.5% but had great body and flavor. The staff and brewer were all extremely kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I can’t wait to return.

Google
Great place, great beer and great people! I really enjoyed my visit in Empourium Brewing Company. I was welcomed by an experienced staff, entertained not only by funny names of the beers but also live music. I have sneaked in their brewery and this is the real definition of the "micro brewery". As a Czech citizen I like good beer and these guys know their s*it. :-) And my favorite beer? - Peace, love & Pale Ale!

Google
In the heart of Tennyson street. It’s a great spot to hang out especially during the summer! Its walkability if you are staying in the area is great. Follow their Instagram page to see all the different things they do throughout the week. There’s plenty of opportunities for a good time! Kid and dog friendly. You can order EAT HERE, a local ghost kitchen, directly to your seat. They have trivia nights. A ton of flavorful brews. Great service and fantastic location!!

Yelp
I could have sworn I had previously reviewed Empourium. I loooove this place. In fact, it is probably my favorite brewery on Tennyson (and there is some stiff competition). The service is always good. I particular enjoy when Austin is working. But everyone here, from the serving staff, to the brewers, to the management, to the owners, is always bringing their "A" game. There is always a new thing or two on the menu. I have never had a bad beer here. But the first beer I ever had, and the one I keep coming back to is the blackberry smoke. It is a lovely sour. Also, in the summer, they have a basil one that I am particularly fond of. The place is dog friendly. Patrons tend to be pretty chill. Check it out if you have not and keep frequenting it if you have.

Yelp
If you know me, you know I'm no stranger to the Tennyson Berkeley area of businesses. This is one of the premier parts of Denver with a long list of great local spots. I'm ashamed to admit it took me far too long to stumble into Empourium, but they're beginning to climb my personal ranks of favorite Denver breweries! Empourium has been around for years, sort of a hidden gem in plain sight. It's locally owned and operated, with a strong focus on sessionable beers. You'd be hard pressed to find anything above 7% here. And you know what, THAT'S OKAY PEOPLE. To me, the beer menu has a strong sense of tradition. With a few twists on the classics. A solid Pils is easier said than done. A stout with an Italian flare. Multiple IPA's and pale ales that are crisp with an excellent utilization of hops. I'm not a nitro drinker typically, but their Nitro Coffee Blonde is exceptional. The reason we frequent local breweries is clearly for great craft beer. But the sense of community and acceptance here is an added bonus. The ownership and staff are the gold standard when it comes to hospitality and friendliness. I love how they know their regulars, while treating newbies just as well. Kicking myself for not coming here sooner. I'm so glad they can most of their beers, too. So I can always grab something for the road even if I don't have time to nestle up at the bar!

Yelp
This is a solid brewery in a very lively area. I've been here a few times now and have never been floored by any of the beers, but this brewery was in our hop passport and we were able to get a BoGo beer. I got the tiramisu stout, which I would've expected to be pretty sweet. It wasn't sweet at all, in fact it more reminded me of a porter with its toastiness. Service was super friendly and let our party of four try some tastes before committing to full beer pours.

Portia H.

Yelp
Empourium is my favorite brewery in the Berkeley neighborhood. Their beer is excellent. The owners and staff are super friendly. And they LOVE dogs. All of that makes this place a must visit!

Eddie C.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night and the taproom was busy. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a flight of four beers. I enjoyed three out of four beers. I love schwarzbiers but the one here is barrel-aged and that wasn't to my liking. Their smoked sour is out of this world. First time I've ever had that in a sour. The service was great. Highly recommended to come here.

Brian N.

Yelp
Nice and cozy brewery in Highlands/ NW Denver area. There is a small parking lot right in front; otherwise, parallel parking is also available. Good variety of beers on tap, including pilsner, IPAs, and sours. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and there is a food truck on site. There is a small patio for outdoor drinking as well. I'd highly recommend.

Mo C.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite local breweries. They always have something deliciously hoppy for me and something fruity or sour for my fella. And, they always have something new and fun to try. Their beer names are hilarious. It's always fun to try and name the reference for beers like "Plethora of Pinatas" or "You son of a bitch, I'm in". Everyone that works here is friendly and knowledgeable. They make great recommendations. The space is really great, with plenty of seating. This is a great place to gather a group of friends before a show at The Oriental.

Jordan S.

Yelp
Make Pour Decisions, as they say. Well, that's what they say here. And I'm happy with my decision to finally visit the space. I went on a weekday late afternoon, and it was quiet and a surprisingly great place to sit and work awhile. I enjoyed all three of their IPA offerings. I'm sure the other beers are solid too, but the IPA choices seemed to cover most of what IPA enthusiasts care about. The hazy was especially refreshing. The space is open, feeling industrial yet somehow cozy. A large mural adorns the west wall creating most of the character of the space. There's quite a bit of indoor seating, as well as outdoor patio space. Once the weather improves, I'll be back to test the outdoor space firsthand. Both spaces seem easy to accommodate conversations with friends or working sessions. As a bonus, the WiFi was incredibly good. Staff were beyond attentive. Honestly some of the best brewery staff I've experienced. Again, it was a quiet weekday, so I can't guarantee busy weekends will net the same result, but they really made my experience next-level. Returning would be an easy decision.

Yelp
I had a good experience on Friday while staying in the neighborhood, parking was tough but it was a quick walk down the road. Lots of low ABV here- which is great because I wanted to try a lot of the beer. I loved the variety and everything tasted great. Beertenders were very knowledgeable. The taproom was full and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I love how they support the other local businesses in the area and had them all listed on their menu. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!

Chris C.

Yelp
Fun Fact: The brewers at The Empourium Brewing Company want every sip to be memorable. This place remains one of my favorites to make "pour" choices. When I went, I enjoyed a German Schwarzbier dubbed The Nightman Cometh. An easy 4.9% ABV, deceptive based on the color, and a pleasant 16 IBU made this malty delight memorable indeed. Plus, I always love seeing that vibrant mural, enjoying the open taproom, and experiencing the warm hospitality.

Sarah A.

Yelp
Empourium has a very nice taproom space located on Tennyson St. in amongst many restaurants, shops and breweries. There is a nice sized outdoor space as well for sunny days. Parking in this area can be a challenge as it is mostly street parking and this is a popular neighborhood. The staff is always welcoming and nice. The beers are not my personal favorite. This is personal preference. I wish the flavors were more robust.

Janice S.

Yelp
Excellent selection of beer. Love the food the ambience was right on everything about this experience was pleasant.

Natalia O.

Yelp
Limited selection of beers, but they were good! I love the open concept area outdoors, especially during this time of year where there's a beautiful breeze. Doggies are welcomed and loved! Near a ton of other spots.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Solid Brewery on Tennyson. They only had one sour option, one more than most breweries, so I was pleased to try their blackberry sour. The sour had a nice tartness but couldn't really taste blackberry. Fun vibe and friendly staff!

Doc F.

Yelp
I was on a super awkward "date" here so thanks to the server for breaking it up a bit and being nice :) They have a cute outside area where you can bring dogs! It's really a pretty decent sized place and I appreciated the rainbow flag oh haiiii I don't think they serve food (or maybe they just weren't at the time I was there) but that's okay I loved every beer I tried and they had some good options. I'll be back, but with a different guy next time haha ;)

David K.

Yelp
Went here last Friday night for the first time. Right on Tennyson street. Which is a great area. Lots of things happening there. Good size brewery. Patio looks good. There are low tables and high tables. About 15 seats at the bar. Bartenders are very friendly and attentive. Good selection of beer. From light to dark. We tried the IPA and the Winter Warmer. Each had good flavor. Cheers!

Bruce S.

Yelp
Grabbing some 4 packs for my cousin and grabbed a beer myself. Nice space and Mike the bartender is really friendly. The Solenya is a great hot weather beer - light kettle sour with cucumber and basil. Great location just off Tennyson.

Deya Z.

Yelp
This place is a great, stop by place if you're on Tennyson. They have a great patio for spring/early summer days that you'll want to take advantage of. Plenty of space inside. On the the beers! Hubs was a fan of their IPA while I went with one name after rick & morty (can't remember the name though)...both were tasty and worth another trip.

Yelp
I tried Empourium shortly after they first opened a little over a year ago, and was underwhelmed with their beer offerings. This said, like so many places during COVID, Empourium has done a bit of a re-brand that has actually made the place more inviting. The generous parking lot has been re-purposed as an outdoor sitting area with fire pits and the ubiquitous bubble-tents, each outfitted with their own kitschy decor and an electric stove to keep the space warm & comfy on those colder days. Our original intention on this cold, sunny afternoon was actually to stop by Berkeley Untapped across the street, but seeing as they weren't open until 3:00, the lure of Empourium's inviting outdoor area was too much to resist. We scored a bubble given that the first reservation was later that afternoon, and wife, dog, and myself all kicked back on the comfy, springy patio chairs and perused the online menu. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that their beer quality is much improved over my last visit many months ago. The haze was smooth and delicious and clocked in at a reasonable 5.8% ABV as I recall, putting it more on the crushable side without sacrificing flavor. We also sampled the ESB and the nitro Amber with a faint hint of coffee - both were very delicious and refreshing. I'm really happy that fate played out the way that I did and I was able to give Empourium another chance. This will now be a must-stop location as we eat and drink our way down Tennyson.

Hector B.

Yelp
More Denver birthday fun! We did a double flight here (see pics)! Solid beers with very different options! I really enjoyed their sour which was more sweet (the more you know). As usual for our great city, service was wonderful. Overall a great experience! Loving our State and city's beer scene! May it last and grow!

Yelp
Wow...where do I begin. When I first walked into Empourium, I'll be honest...I was lost. Not only was I lost on Tennyson Street, but also lost in life. The bartender must have noticed, as he called out "need some help there fella?" I spun around to what might have been the most beautiful face I've ever seen. Star struck, I took a seat at the bar and timidly looked at the beers on tap. "My names Sam," the bartender introduced himself, as he extended a slender hand to firmly grasp mine as we became acquainted. The next 2 hours were honestly a blur...and not because I was intoxicated by the fantastic brews, but because I was falling deeply in love with all that Empourium has to offer, and even more in love with the bartender, Sam. Unfortunately as I closed out, Sam was telling me his weekend plans which included those two words that haunt me to this day: "my girlfriend." Alas, I continue to visit Empourium to sip a delightful beer, all in the hopes of catching Sam's eye one more time.

Yelp
21APR2019 Four visits now. The beers are good and the staff is friendly. Highly recommended. 29MAR2019 Opening day and the beer is flowing. Just 2-1/2 blocks from my house. A good sized crowd and a welcoming atmosphere. I had a couple of beers and both were quite enjoyable. This place should do well with a food truck outside and 3 restaurants within spitting distance (Atomic Cowboy, Bijou's, and Pasty Republic). P.S. I now have 5 breweries within 6 blocks of my house.

Meredith G.

Yelp
I welcome another brewery that's stumbling distance to my house. The owner is very friendly and held a table for a happy hour gathering. I enjoyed the Crusher cream ale the most tonight. Looking forward to more nights there. You can bring in your own food which is always nice.

Anna B.

Yelp
I love this Berkeley hangout! Plenty of patio space = good summer spot & great for doggos! Haven't gotten to explore the inside space, but the patio has lots of seating options. Firepit tables with adirondack chairs, igloos in the winter, & tables under the covered patio as well. The servers are energetic & friendly! All the beer is great too - I tried a couple IPAs and a lighter lager-style beer, and all were amazing! Everyone in our group was happy. There's so much space for doggies to lounge too, so ours was happy. I'll be back!

Glenn G.

Yelp
Wonderful beers, wonderful atmosphere very warm and friendly, very clean and the bears are delicious and Chris. And we were waiting on and helped him to have a good discussion with the owners wonderful place a must on your list when you're downtown district down there we are post oak barbecue

Nicole W.

Yelp
Been here a ton and haven't wanted to let the cat out of the bag! Great addition to the neighborhood. Lots of seating, plenty of options on the beer and the comming soon menu is a great way to get me to come back even sooner. There is usually a food truck or just order a pizza from fat sully's and bring it across! Staff is friendly and helpful and always willing to give a taste! It is across from the park so there is usually a contingent of parents dragging their children in, so be warned.

Anna S.

Yelp
Found this little gem while brewery hopping. Atmosphere was pleasant. They had a large area for outdoor drinking. The service was fast and attentive and prices good. I tried the Dope IPA & the Atomic Pageantry. They were both good, but I liked the Dope IPA best. Very light and smooth with great flavor.

John W.

Yelp
LOVE Empourium! Some of the best beer I've enjoyed of late. The crew are awesome and friendly. The beers good, the location fun,

Frederic R.

Yelp
Great beers at a great location on Tennyson. During COVID they have it down and do things correctly and quite efficiently. A great part of the parking lot is now an outside seating area which is pretty awesome. Check them out.

Brittany C.

Yelp
Great space, very open and modern and clean and right in the heart of Tennyson. The beer list is big and they have a great dog friendly patio. I also thought it was super cute how they had a station with fresh herbs that you could clip and little baggies to take herbs home! A frozen yogurt truck was also parked outside which was a great plus on a hot night. Fun times!

Mark C.

Yelp
Very good beer and very nice selection. The bartender was "extremely helpful". (Sorry I missed getting his name). Just a lively, fun, bright vibe. And very good beer. Only reason for 4 stars is they were lacking a brown or porte.

Molly W.

Yelp
been here twice and both times I enjoyed it--staff was great. First visit: we moved from outside to inside because it got cold, and they didn't skip a beat to accommodate even if it meant having to sanitize an extra table. Second time was a Saturday afternoon, I needed to send some emails and get some paperwork done, but rather than go to a cafe I decided to grab a beer instead. They helped me find a table with an outlet and were very nice. The beer is good too--I loved their selection of IPAs (esp Now and Forever), as well as their ESB, Werewolves not Swearwolves. The tall lanky guy, the woman with brown hair and the guy with facial hair were all great. Only con is the girl with short blonde hair was extremely rude and ignored me multiple times (including when I said "thanks so much!" on my way out). I think she was annoyed I sat at the table for an hour and only had one beer/was judging me for having a laptop at a brewery. But guess what? That's the way it goes sometimes. I work in food service and I get that frustration, but the attitude is never acceptable. I will def come back...and just hope she isn't there!

S. D.

Yelp
Really relaxed vibes and good beer. My favorites are definitely solenya and the coffee blonde! Would recommend.

Tanvi A.

Yelp
I'm visiting Denver and this was my first stop on a self guided tour! The owners are really friendly, I really loved the quirky names of the beers and they tasted great! Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!

Kaleb H.

Yelp
I wanted to update my review because of how well Empourium handles covid. They have opened up the parking lot and have comfortable, igloo bubbles with heaters. Everything is clean, and well managed. I love how often they are pumping out new beers as every time I go, they usually have 1 or 2 new beers to try. The quality is spot on across the board as well. Even styles I usually don't go for, are always excellent, like the hefeweizen and their sours. They probably have the best sours I have had.

Marcus J.

Yelp
Staff was extremely nice. Sam went out to his car to try and find us a deck of cards in -1 degree weather. Very memorable experience.

Joe M.

Yelp
Loved it, great food, good selection but holy moly it was busy. I came on vacation, loved the menu.

Leigh M.

Yelp
Very tasty beers, cool atmosphere, friendly service, and fair prices! You can't ask for much more when it comes to a brewery and they even do things like oyster pairings!

Victor B.

Yelp
We had been introduced to Empourium at a couple of the beer fests that go on around Colorado in summer time so we decided it was time to visit their actual location. There is plenty of space inside and the staff are friendly. The beer, unique but all ones we have tried have been superb. At their Beaver Creek appearance I had an apricot cream ale that was crisp and refreshing. A wonderful summer beer. At a Castle Rock appearance I had a cucumber based beer which was also very delightful. With a clean profile and again, very refreshing. On this visit to their location I had the German Pilsner which is a fine basic beer. I'm a little picky when it comes to beer and with so many breweries popping up around town it seems like everyone and their grandfather thinks they can brew beer, but Empourium is one of the few that truly know what they're doing. Stop on in, you won't be disappointed!

Sierra R.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE BEERS! Can't wait until they bring out all 10 beers on tap (May is the date!). Every beer tastes exactly like the description and all are incredibly unique. Staff is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Only complaint is that they don't have snacks (like a little bowl of peanuts or pretzels available at every table) to cleanse the pallet (although they do have a food truck right out front). I enjoyed the Krusher so much I even bought a bottle to take home (which they fill up and seal on order- it's really fun to watch). Will definitely be back. Update: drank the growler I bought 3 days ago, flavor was incredible but had lost some of its fizz! I told one of the people who work there and he said he would chat with the management team about it.

Meredith H.

Yelp
I've tried all their beers and I think they're all delicious!! Their staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, too. It's a big space with an outdoor area (compete with fresh herbs and flowers) and an indoor area with TVs and large tables (perfect for big groups). They also have comedy nights and community bike rides. Overall amazing new neighborhood spot that I'd recommend to anyone who likes a nice brew with a good atmosphere :)

Sarah E.

Yelp
Love Empourium! Great beer and love that you can BYO-food. Dog friendly!

Aaron J.

Yelp
What a great spot! Can't wait until the weather is even better. We went a few weekends ago after doing a quick family walk around Sloans Lake. Stopped here after a super sweet 60-70 degree February weekend and it was booming! The brewery itself is in the ultra hip section of 42nd and Tennyson, you would think the parking would be awful!? However on this super busy Saturday afternoon there was parking not only close but of bounty. The beers were awesome and of many choices. They had a food truck at the time called Taco Migration that was off the chain...a perfect combo with the stellar beers of Emporium. The staff here were super friendly and very accommodating especially with kids. We will be back! Can't wait to try their latest IPA, OBEY

Jake H.

Yelp
Really a big fan of this place! I've been a couple times and last night was another great experience. The beers are great and there are a good selection of games to play. Usually food trucks are there, we got there late so they were gone. However, there are snacks if you want. Really good selection of rotating beer as well, would definitely recommend.

Ben K.

Yelp
Fantastic brewery!! Great beer & atmosphere. Friendly & knowlegable staff. I highly recommend!!

Annie M.

Yelp
Ok beer all taste the same and all of them have the same abd % super basic won't be going back

Sam W.

Yelp
BlackBerry sour was fantastic! If you like IPAs the Dope will take care of you and don't forget to try the Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins.

Josh C.

Yelp
Live down the street couldn't wait for this place to open and now I have a new favorite pale! That's Emporium see you soon!

Sam L.

Yelp
Great beer and knowledgeable staff! I've never been disappointed by the beer or service! The owners are usually there too and they are very hospitable. One of my new favorite breweries!
