"I learned that Denver's newest independent brewery in the Berkeley neighborhood, The Empourium, debuts on March 29. It brings sessionable beers to a spot alongside César Chávez Park and features a 1,500-square-foot tasting room with 12 taps, a mural by Drew Button spanning the entire west wall, and large south-facing windows that look out on a dog-friendly patio; a glass wall reveals the brewery’s 10-barrel brewhouse. Among the first beers available at the grand opening are Bang-A-Rang Brut IPA; Peace, Love & Pale Ale; Krusher Cream Ale (with peaches, apricots, and vanilla beans); Gettin’ Schwifty Saison; and Conditions of My Parole Coffee Blonde. The company's website notes that the name implies you'll be able to find a little bit of everything when you walk through the door, and the brewery is owned by Greg and Sara Fetzer with partners Mike Cugini and Justin Vallely." - Susan Stapleton
