The Exmoor Forest Inn

Tasty food with locally reared produce. Local Otter beer on tap. Food well presented and tasty. Kids menu and child seats also available (very tasty fish and chips). Felt like an elevated classic pub menu so something for everyone. Friendly staff. All the tables were booked so make sure you book ahead at peak times.

We just visited the restaurant for dinner and it was amazing! The food was healthy, tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff were so kind and our waiter was the best waiter I've ever had - seriously! The atmosphere was quiet and romantic and my partner and I had a wonderful date night here. I highly recommend the homemade ice cream.

We had a truly wonderful stay; the food was sensational and the service simply superb. All locally sourced food and the wine list was extensive and good value. Breakfast was superb also. Good atmosphere and a lively bar. A great way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you.

A warm and relaxed atmosphere with superb, locally produced food. Dog friendly and friendly staff. My partner who never orders beef out and about because it never lives up to expectations said it is the best he has ever had!

Had an evening meal here the day of our arrival staying a short distance from the Inn in Simonsbath. Immediately the staff were very friendly, but never overbearing, the atmosphere was lovely relaxed and quiet. The food was exceptional, with generous portion sizes - we shared both a starter and a dessert between two, and the main meal was wonderful, the first day of their seasonal summer menu! Honestly one of the best all round eating experiences we have had in a long time, and the price was more than reasonable! Well recommended if you're in Exmoor, credit to the staff!

We just had a few days on Exmoor, there was 6 of us and the Exmoor Forest looked after us so well. The staff are very welcoming and very attentive to all your needs. Everywhere was extremely clean and the rooms were very comfortable. You can start the day with an excellent breakfast menu and comeback in the evening to sit down to an excellent evening meal, they use local homebreed produce too. A great place to stay.

Excellent meal. From the moment of arrival to leaving, the staff had a natural, intuitive hospitality attitude. Friendly, attentive, non intrusive and above all, great food. It made our lunch there for a birthday meal very special and relaxing. The restaurant is beautiful and peaceful. We'll definitely go again. Thank you to all.

Only stopped for a break on our way to Woolacombe, very friendly staff, great service, excellent sandwiches, choice of white or brown bread. Great cup of coffee. Really nice place. Meals we could see being brought out looked really nice. Would absolutely go there again
