"A big part of what draws folks to glamping is the desire to return to a simpler time when life was slower and less complicated. The Fields curates a one-of-a-kind experience that’s heavy on nature and nostalgia. Tents with cloud-like beds guarantee a peaceful slumber, and rising to the sounds of chirping birds before hitting the trails definitely ranks among the loveliest ways to start the day." - Travel + Leisure Editors

As a Michigan elopement photographer, I'm proud to have this gorgeous wedding venue in my backyard. The outdoor oasis Irene and team have created over the years is magical for a short stay to a full-weekend wedding celebration. The beds are extremely comfortable, the surroundings are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and I cannot wait to come back to enjoy and photograph love. Southwest Michigan in the fall is just stunning!

I’ve stayed at Fields of Michigan twice, once with my husband (June 2021) and a second time with 3 girlfriends (October 2022). We’ve always had a wonderful relaxing time and I would recommend to anyone! We borrowed the resort bikes and hopped on a trail, had a private yoga class, enjoyed evening campfires and wine! Haven’t done the massage services yet, but I hope to go back soon! We live in Chicago so an easy 2.5 hour drive. Definitely more so an “adults” resort but a well behaved kid who enjoys nature and doesn’t need entertainment 24/7 would be fine.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! This was our second stay at The Fields and again, exceeded all of our expectations. If you’re looking for a complete reset, this is it! The staff is humble and kind and not to mention, just good company! We have stayed in both the tent and the cabin and both are wonderful in their own seperate ways. You truly have thought of everything! P.S. Ask for chef Mindy, she is a treasure! 😊

Dined here (but didn’t stay overnight) and it was WONDERFUL! The meal was 4 courses plus appetizers and the dessert (blueberry and lemon tart) was incredible! The staff was so nice and the communal dining experience had us all chatting and laughing. Can’t recommend this place for dinner enough - just make sure to book very early if you want to eat on a Friday or Saturday night.

Mindy. Mindy. Mindy. Not the owner. But the heart of this glorious place. From the ride (no cars next living quarters) to the food, yup she’s the cook, to the win, yes she’s also the Sommelier. The location is wonderful. The people Devine. The atmosphere is holy!! Highly recommend.

We only dined here and found it through open table. Upon arrival and a super cool valet service we were welcomed in an amazing way from the owner Irene. After wine and a great tour of the facility we had a great 4 course meal. Our only regret is that we did not book our stay at this place as well!

NOT worth the money!! We arrived to a great valet pick up by Payton, the only person who seemed to understand hospitality. Most everything went down from there. It was a chilly rainy weekend and the fire wood was wet and difficult to get a fire started when actually, given the circumstances a fire should have been already started once we arrived. When paying $450 per night for a glorified tent, we expected the service and food to be top shelf. Instead, the following morning we had store bought bagels and donuts with mediocre coffee. Dinner was good but the wines served were one step from boxed. Sunday morning we were served coldish quiche by someone clearly not caring about quality or service as it was simple enough to reheat the food to proper temperature. No fresh fruit, no juice, no eggs, bacon, pancakes or anything to warm us up from a 40 degree night. Nothing farm to table whatsoever with the food and we’re sitting it the middle of a beautiful fields. To cap things off, upon departure the driver pulls up in the golf cart with wet seats and wet luggage area without getting up from her blanketed seat and watched me dry the seats for my wife and then load our luggage into the wet luggage hold. I can only imagine someone was asleep at the switch this weekend as this is supposed to be a magical place. I’ve never written a review before but my level of disappointment hit a new bar, worthy of sharing.

Do not recommend: I think primarily it is not worth the money. Stayed in primitive tents and for the price and service this was just not worth the money, off the bat you need to call for staff to pick you up from parking, we called 5 times and no one answered, so we had to walk to find someone, unfortunately it got worse from there. Maybe would have enjoyed more the big tents that had full bathroom in them but those are also twice the price. I think bottom line for us was that we stayed at another glamping in the area for a comparable price and had a much better experience and service was quicker.

Yelp
Interesting experience. I went for dinner, food was underwhelming for the cost. I expected a bit more exciting food. Very different dining experience and the property was beautiful. I would probably go again, hopefully the food improves abit.

Yelp
I have wanted to stay here forever. From their photos on social media, it looks absolutely dreamy. Finally, my husband and I booked a stay here... with our little dog, Bella. I was so excited to finally spend the night here, but sadly, it did not live up to my expectations at all. With the prices at about $400 per night... I expect a luxury stay. This was not a luxury stay, and was more like basic glamping. I have been to numerous glamping resorts around the country, and this was honestly one of my least favorite ones. I think I'm so disappointed because the price point was so high. The interior design was minimal compared to photos I saw online. The photos I saw online didn't look like our tent at all. The shower was honestly a joke. The bottom of the shower just felt like I was standing on a flimsy piece of plastic. It was moving all over the place, and there was no cover to the shower. We visited in the fall time, so I was freezing because there was no shower door or curtain. And when we were in bed, it was a constant battle to keep all the Daddy Long Legs off of our covers. There is not a good closure on the tents, so we had a lot of bugs in our tent. And the reason I have a problem with this is because I'm paying about $400 per night... and I should have a lot more luxury experience for that price. And to add on top of that, the string lights by our tent didn't work at all. Sadly, I will not come back here, and I won't recommend this place to anyone. There are a lot of other glamping resorts I would recommend to people in Michigan.
