The Fifth

This is a cool laidback neighborhood bar with a huge lounge area, pool table, and TVs. I’ve been 4 times and it was pleasant each time. Patrons play good music on the TouchTunes. People are polite and cordial. I’ve met some nice people here. The ladies room is clean and fresh. Drinks are very reasonable during happy hour. Specialty cocktails are regular-priced almost as high as Ventura Blvd. Staff does their job and treats customers like they are happy to be there.

Friendly servers, reasonable happy hour prices. Good sound system and seating. I've been there a couple times and didn't recall them serving food.

Really cute local bar. Not much in terms of frills, but they have parking! The bathrooms are nice and clean. The place is small, so it is perfect for hosting private events. I'll definitely return to check out one of their DJ nights.

Great place to hang out shoot pool good place to work owners are awesome. Bartenders are awesome. If they only had two pool tables Or a dartboard ,it would be Almost perfect .and the doormen are cool. Not too sure, but that long-haired guy though lol .

Awesome dive bar with everything you could ever want - bar seating, pool table, jukebox machine, lounge area, and friendly folk. I went in on a whim and now I'll be returning anytime I'm in town. Lack of draft beer was surprising but still a full bar, bottled/canned beer, and a good happy hour. Shout-out Alexis for the great hospitality and providing a welcoming atmosphere!

IDK if they sell food because it was my first time there and we came a little late for one drink to celebrate a friend's birthday and the young lady named Bobby served us two very well-made drinks, like 3 in 1 drinks, and surprised us both by saying, it's on the house! They were very friendly and helpful. My friend and I enjoyed the place enough to say, we will come back again! And I gave the host and the bartender a decent tip!

Definitely a locals bar, but staff and regulars are all so welcoming. Plenty of bar seats including room for bigger parties and/or intimate dates in their lounge area. Divey is my vibe and this is it. Clean restrooms is a huge plus. New to the area and may have found my new local bar!

Cool bar tucked at the end of a small strip mall. As dives go this one is clean, pretty well lit and isn't loud. I like the blue glow at the bar and the walls have a different style in each direction. It's a little cold especially in the ladies room. Beer selection is limited, and no beer on tap. There's a comfortable area with cute fake candles to distance oneself from any noise from the tv watchers. The digital juke box displays artists and song name. You can tell who regulars are. Some even bring their own pool sticks! Good, friendly service and fair prices. No food served but outside food is welcome As we left, there were two pizza boxes at a table near the door.

Service good, ambience good and I love playing pool here not too bad prices as well.

Bar was empty but I came super early. Prices are very good not like where I live ( Hollywood) You can play your music from the box if you pay. Can't say much when I was the only one there about the ambiance. But the bartender was super sweet and welcoming Told us where we could grab a bite to eat if we are hungry.

I absolutely love my favorite Bartender Alexis ! She makes the best espresso martinis and all of the patrons are interesting and super sweet

One of my favorite watering holes in the valley. They have a pool table and a happy hour special where you can get a shot of patron and a beer for less than $10. Definitely a locals bar but not the type that makes you feel like a nazi if you're not a regular. Bartenders are what you'd want, attentive to all customers and know their regulars. No frills here, just good people leaving the worries of the world at door and having a cocktail.

Terrible bar! Racist patrons, the staff do not care, I commented on someone racist remarks and was IMMEDIATELY asked to leave and the wannabe bouncer told the bar tender to just charge my card, even though I said I would pay cash! The bartender didn't hesitate but I'm guessing she did it because knows she would get fired if she didn't. Bartender was cool, didn't get her name, patrons I did not like as I am multi national and DO NOT LIKE RACISM! And heard it non stop by the patrons. The bouncer, who looks Asian, obviously heard all of it but could care less! Guessing he's more focused on green than custom experience. I wouldn't waste my money coming to this place. I tipped the bartender in cash! Which is something I always do, but I would've thought she would step up! What a shame. Cause this bar has potential. Just poor management. And btw, YELP! Allow us to put zero and negative stars. Cause this place warrants it! Shame on the fifth! Going there, if asked, you'll need to take the fifth!

Naomi was super helpful and always attentive .. Made eye contact and followed through. Love this place... billiard table good company who cares...

Alexis was soo great, such a welcoming vibe. The ambiance was great, but Alexis was the star of the show. Her espresso martini was KILLLER! will definitely be back to the Fifth soon.

If you're looking for a solid, local dive bar, this is it. The bartenders are dope and it seems like everyone is a regular. The pool table is fun and the patrons at the bar are great. Everyone seems to be best friends here...makes me feel like I'm on an episode of it's always sunny.

Good times. Good service from April, Naomi, and the Doorman. They try keep some good whiskeys available. One billiards table and a jukebox. All one really needs besides some bar snacks or a hangover meal.

This place rules. If you love a dive bar this is the spot. This place isn't fancy and that's why it's great.

We had our team event at the 5th today and it was awesome!! Great atmosphere, very good music, plenty of parking, and best of all the drinks were amazing!! Very good service! We'll be back!

Came here for a friend's bday. Smaller than I expected but it's a cute little dive bar in a strip mall. Drinks aren't too bad and they have a pool table in the back. They had one lady serving up the bar for a packed house. She did a great job in handling everything, I was impressed. Chill area to lounge and bar seating with bar stools. Pool table in the back, though when we went there was a couple that were sticklers with playing pool like we were in a pool bar? I thought playing pool at a bar just meant waiting your turn to play your own game after another party was over? I guess you're supposed to play the winner? I'm not sure but that sure made for a buzzkill and I was too tipsy to deal with it. Careful bc I heard a lot of pos like to lurk around and catch DUI's here.

Provender: nice little dive bar in Valley Village, near Studio City. This is a bar/lounge. There are a good amount of barstools and cushioned seats with tables. Prices: on the high side for top shelf, but reasonable for other drinks. (Balvenie will run you $15.) Parking: there is a decent sized lot. I reccomend entering on Whitsett Ave. You'll see a sign for Chengdu (an Asian restaurant). Enter there, and proceed towards the back end of the parking lot. People: adults looking to quench their thirst. There seemed to be a good mix of singles and couples. Perks: staff was ok. They also have a pool table and juke box. This might be a good first date joint since the lounge seats look intimate and comfortable. (Most of the patrons were at the bar.) They also have a few TVs, so you can catch the game here.

Came here to meet a buddy for a drink. I'll admit that I had an opened bottle of alcohol from a bar that I forgot about (from my bartending job.) The doorman was completely rude then told me I could leave it at the front with him. I agreed then he continued to be aggressive. I took my bag to my friends car and tried to re-enter the bar. Now he wants to have a conversation because I called him rude... which he was. 100% will not be visiting this bar again and I encourage all people of color not to, as well.

Absolutely love this place! Very very nice employees, great food and drinks! Nice ambiance, it has it all. A must try!

Bar itself was fine, however, bartender and the regulars were speaking badly about African Americans. Not cool. I gulped down the rest of my drink and got the hell out. Won't be back.

Alexis is one of the best bartenders in this bar. Friendly, courteous and a cocktail expert. Visit her on Sunday mornings especially during football season.

This place is an absolute Gem! Sundays Alexis makes the best cocktails around! It's always a party at The Fifth any day of the week. Great place to play pool as well. Good pool players and good drinks.

I would highly recommend The Fifth for any large gathering or company function. Not only do they have a very accommodating lounge space, but a helpful and compassionate staff from ownership through service level. Great focus on satisfaction and sensitivity to the very special circumstances I required their services in recently. I haven't written a yelp review in close to 3 years and previously it was with a separate account, but I am a real person with a very real life story. Unfortunately about a month ago one of my closest friends passed on suddenly at only 42 years of age. My former and current co-workers were at a loss because it happened so suddenly and we're not able to attend any services held by my friends family. I decided to hold not a "wake" in the traditional sense, but have a celebration of my friends life in his honor. I needed a venue with adequate space to accommodate a large group with a cool jukebox and some specific event based adjustments. After a speaking with me on the phone Greg the owner, we met and reviewed the reservation process and the odd motivation/sensitivity of the event. Greg introduced me to his team and made sure I was going to be taken care of in advance of things starting off. During the event Naomi was up to the challenge and served out group with friendly and efficient service. Though the service show stealer was Mark, who works door. From lighting adjustments to rearranging furniture and even taking our only group shot; Mark was there every step of the way making sure our group had the best time we could, while being respectful of the events cause. Everyone was able to gather, process our comrade moving on and thank his survivors in person, all thanks to the team at The Fifth. The Monday after our gathering Greg reached out to make sure I was satisfied with the experience, which I was and am now reporting to the world. Top notch group or individual service at a bar with great atmosphere, tons of class and a big heart. Many Thanks

This is my local bar 5 min walk from my house. Great place to meet local valley village neighborhood friendly people! The service is great and the drinks 2 :)

Smaller joint with friendly people and strong drinks! My husband and I took a chance on a new place and chose this joint. We made a great choice! They have pool tables and the lounge area is very nice. They also have a digital jukebox to play some good tunes. The bartender was fantastic! She was getting busy but she would look my way and let me know that she knew I was there and waiting. Which was appreciated. She also made my drinks super strong! her friendly attitude and great drinks helped me have a good time. Perhaps too good... Prices were decent. I had about five drinks and the total was $50, so about average. Will be back!

My first visit to go watch football! Read this place to have new NFL Package and Big screen. 9:50 am doors locked. 10am open, no bartender, missing start of my game. I'm the only customer in the bar. Bartender shows up a few minutes late, she's kool. But get's mouthy and decides to put her game on insted of working try to put my game on! She didn't like my team? 10:10 finally drops the big screen down and has problems to put the game on! Other TV'S are local networks that have games going. 10:15 my team has scored and still no game! Come to find there is a problem with the NFL package? I understand not there fault and it's a new system?? But got to atleast watch NFL Redzone for updates. Finally at halftime was able to watch my game but no sound! Funny the jukebox came on when my game came on! I was told the jukebox has priority when someone has money in it! I found this to be absurd and contardictive to try and start a new clientele for football fans? I do have to say the owner, (Paul)? gave me my first beer for free for the inconvenience! The second was hard to swallow! Even at $3.00 a beer! No taps here! As the crowd of regulars crept in it got noisy and obnoxious listening to fowled mouth people every other word f this f that! I get it, it's a bar but way to excessive and coming from the bartender too! This girl would not stop to take a breath to save her life? But she did her job well, made sure everyone was taken care of! I would return if they were to put emphasis on the Football game's and not the jukebox! Of course thus the reason to amp the business up for football? This is only their second week with the NFL package and i truly hope the owner realizes he can only bring new people in to watch the game insted of listening to the jukebox? I would like to return with friends but doubtful?

I really like this place, somewhat of a hidden gem for westsiders. There is a laid back lounge vibe going on. The bartender was awesome and theres a great selection of beer. We will definitely be back.

Niomi is the ABSOLUTE BEST BARTENDER... The place has been shut down for a year due to covid and yet she still remembers my drink and welcome me home LOL... Best bar for chill evening!!!!

I like this place. It's got a great jukebox and a friendly staff. I was there on a Saturday night around 9:30. Not too crowed and a nice casual vibe. Bottom line, a good neighborhood bar. I'll be back.

The drinks are strong, and the prices are decent. It's a nice place to meet up with an old friends. It's one of my go to dive bars. I like that it's hidden away in the back of a valley strip mall. But really it's pretty nice in there all things considered.

Okay, after the reading the reviews I thought that this place would be another watering hole that I would end up loving, BUT I was soo disappointed. Okay, here's the run down...When it went down hill... :( 1) The moment we get there there are all these guys standing outside. At first I was apprehensive because it didn't look inviting. 2) Not one piece of eye candy! Was it because I came on a Thursday night?!?! 3) 2 WELL DRINKS cost $10 but why were charged tax?! So, the bill was really - $10.88. Such a weird thing!!! It irks me a little. :/ 4) Apparently from the reviews, it gets busy after 11pm. We were there a little after 12:30am and the was hardly any patrons there. Just people around the bar. The good I can say is that the decor is nice and they have a pool table and jukebox. Other than that, I may or may not come back. Who knows...maybe it was an off night.

There is nothing I don't appreciate about this bar. Location is great. The area is kind of hidden but worth it. Drinks are yum! Bartenders are great too. Been here with the regulars and they are pretty wonderful, they like to shower (+1)!! Once you are inside a room of lounge almost circular booths you are drawn into the bar. I like taking dates here, when it's casual and stress free. Ms. Pac-Man Makes My Nights Here! Reason for which bringing a date is essential, I like winning!

Lagit dive bar. Ultra low key. Bartender is HIGH-larious! Happy hour is 12-7pm. .Drinks are cheap compared to the bars on Ventura. Good spot to chill.

The only good things about this hell hole are they sell "805" beer and the bartender is fast and friendly, the blond girl. The rest of the place is nasty. they used to have live music, now, just a lame dive bar, why go there? to inhale smoke from the guys outside smoking? for the one pool table the regulars guard with their life? it's a big ugly room with drinks. boring. at least the parking is free.

Cozy little neighborhood bar...I particularly appreciated the plentiful and well-lit parking lot since we were two girls looking for a safe and uncomplicated place. My Macallan scotch and my pal's martini were $19 together and hit the spot. The service, featuring two female bartenders, was fast and friendly. I'd come back for a drink here again.

Great ambiance and decor, the bartenders are a bit pushy about open tabs but this is one of the better dive bars in the area.

Average dive bar for cheap drinks. It's a bit dark inside, so if you're looking to get to know someone this might not be the right place. The modern age juke box is a nice touch.

Bartender treated us very well. Comfortable decor if you want to sit at the bar or in the couch area. The parking lot is a decent size so you shouldn't have trouble.

LOVE this place! We went around 11 pm on a Saturday night and it was empty but cozy and had a blast! The lounges were comfy and the drinks were strong and satisfying! They didn't have Crown Apple so the bar gal improvised and used original crown with apple pucker and added cranberry juice...GENIUS! We will definitely go back to chill...thanks The Fifth!!! :)

I went here today around 4 pm. I parked in front of the bar, just to the left of the door (if you're facing the door from the outside). I drove home, and realized someone hit my bumper hard - and left. I have a big dent in my bumper now. I have tried to call the bar at least 10 times and no one answers the phone. I guess the next thing to do is call the police... stay tuned for what happens next.

For a place so striking, so winsome, so robust... it's a shame I don't take advantage of its virtues more often. Cheap drinks don't always mean cheap thrills, but... As for what happened on my night at The Fifth? Well, it's fitting that I'll be exercising my right to plead it.

I like it. I like it a lot! I remember coming here once when this bar was the Studio Suite, and thinking that the space was really awkwardly laid out. It was also completely run down and kind of depressing, like the wooden swing-set you'd find at an under-funded public park. By the time they scrape the money together to get rid of it, it's faded and splintering from being left out in the sun and the occasional rainstorm. Well, to continue this analogy, I guess you could say that the Fifth is the fancy new swing-set made out of brightly colored plastic, the kind that you'd find in a nicer neighborhood, with the cushioned rubber mat installed underneath it to keep you from cracking your dome open when you fall off the top of the monkey bars . So no need to get a tetanus shot after drinking at the Fifth... I love the way they rearranged the space, and created a lot of space to sit down and relax. The jukebox is loaded with old favorites as well as some brand new tracks, and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. Drinks were strong. Bartenders were cool. Parking a plenty, and it's just minutes from my house, so yeah, I'll be back again sometime VERY soon!

The 5th is a fabulous local bar with a cool vintage vibe! all the staff are great and an extra shout out to Chrisha who is not only a fabulous bartender (knows what everyone orders) but she is also very friendly and super funny!! Our little group love being there on her shift!!
