Best Restaurant Patios in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"The giant wrap-around patio here offers views of Mockingbird and 75, while the menu caters to lunch, brunch, and dinner diners. This is a spot for lingering over drinks with friends when the weather is just right — go for a plate of the crudo, which is notably good, and a mocktail. There is valet out front, but also a robust lot for off-hours parking if you prefer." - Rachel Pinn

I went for brunch and the Finch is absolutely beautiful very whimsical. This would be the perfect place for a special occasion brunch like birthdays, showers, engagement announcements. They also have a beautiful patio. If it wasn’t 100 degrees I would have definitely sat outside. We started with the standout Volcano Rock Shrimp. Before my mimosa carafe even landed on the table, I’d already devoured it. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and the Short Rib Hash. The outer crust on the chicken was crisp, almost too much so, bordering on burnt, but crack through it, and the inside was tender and juicy, perfectly seasoned. However, the star of the show was hands down the Short Rib Hash. Every base component worked in harmony: the potatoes weren’t overwhelming, the meat had bold flavor without overpowering. I practically inhaled every bite. In short: I will be back to order the Short Rib Hash along with the Martini Flight.

My brother took me to the Finch restaurant in Grand Prairie, Texas, today. We decided to sit outside. Other than sitting at the bar, the outdoors is always my first choice. The view was amazing, and watching the waterfalls was pretty cool. I was told they have a light show at night. The service was excellent! The waitress was timely in bringing out everything. Also, she kept checking on us and provided refills as requested. I tried the trio Martini’s The bartender gets an A+. I had the coconut shrimps for my appetizer and the Cajun chicken pasta. The food was superb. My nephew had a cheeseburger. However, the Chef brought him his fries because they were a little late, but that gesture made up for the lateness. I definitely recommend trying the Finch in Texas.

Google
We had lunch on the patio and captured the perfect patio weather for Dallas. Our service once we seated, was great. Marissa was our server, she was excited about the food she recommended and we can see why! As amazing as our food was, I love how attentive, thoughtful and thorough she was. I completely ordered the wrong drink, and she was so quick to offer me a new one, when she didn’t need to because it was my fault. When I told her how much I loved the sauce on one of the appetizers, she wrote the name of it down so I could find it at my grocery store. Every one of her recommendations was absolutely amazing, and she really made our dining experience. We will be back! The strip will melt in your mouth, and their Apple cheese cake is the perfect way to end your meal

Quick lunch on a recent trip to Dallas. Stayed across the street at the Highland hotel (highly recommend!) the service at the Finch was superb. Very attentive staff who knew their way around the menu. The avocado hummus was fresh however the chicken bites need a little more love from the kitchen.

I quickly became a regular at this place. I actually got the same thing everyday for a week lol. The waiters Carlos and John were amazing and always took care of us. The food was a 10/10 and my daughter loved it too. I will be coming back again next time I’m in town 🫶🏼

The Finch in Dallas delivers a stylish, energetic dining experience with food and drinks that live up to the vibe. We stopped in for dinner and were impressed from the moment we walked through the door. The space has a modern yet welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for a night out. We started with the mini martini flight, which was such a fun and creative way to sample a variety of cocktails. Each martini had its own personality, from fruity to bold, and all were well-balanced and beautifully presented. We also ordered an espresso martini on the side—smooth, rich, and just the right pick-me-up. For an appetizer, we shared the meatballs, which were tender and flavorful with a perfectly savory sauce. They hit the spot and definitely set the tone for the rest of the meal. For entrees, we had the fish tacos and the Royale with Cheese—because how can you pass up a dish inspired by *Pulp Fiction*? The fish tacos were fresh, with a great crunch and vibrant flavors, while the Royale with Cheese was a standout. Juicy, well-seasoned, and served with a flair of nostalgia, it was a fun and delicious take on a classic burger. The service was top-notch throughout our meal. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations without being overbearing. It’s clear that the staff at The Finch take pride in both the food and the guest experience. Everything we had was very good—thoughtfully prepared, plated well, and delicious. The combination of creative cocktails, high-quality food, and attentive service makes The Finch a standout in Dallas’s dining scene. Whether you’re in for drinks, dinner, or both, it’s a great choice for a memorable night out. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Went to brunch with my boyfriend and was in Stephen’s section, easily one of the best dining experiences. He was so energetic and just a really cool dude! 5/5 Definitely recommend. Coming back for the food and Stephen!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and happy we did. We received a complimentary glass of champagne which I thought was so nice. We came just to enjoy happy hour, and we loved everything we tried. Our favorite was the salmon crudo and volcano rock shrimp. Worth a visit for their happy hour alone. We will definitely come back to try their dinner menu. Service was 10/10

Yelp
The Flinch is a solid go to for happy hour for its laid-back vibes, and well-crafted apps. We opted to sit outside but there's plenty of seating inside as well. The setup is ideal for groups or casual catch ups. We decided to try every starter on the happy hour menu, which included crispy chicken bites, chicken potstickers, volcano rock shrimp, meatballs, and the tzatziki & spicy feta dip. The volcano rock shrimp and meatballs were flavorful and satisfying. The tzatziki & spicy feta dip came with warm pita and crackers that paired really well. Potstickers were nicely done. The crispy chicken bites were a miss for me though, it was a bit dry for my personal liking. Maybe if they drizzle more of the sauce that was on there it would be perfect. I went for the mini martini flight and chose the lemon drop, appletini, and a classic martini. I didn't love the martini, so I actually swapped it for another appletini (which was so good). Special shoutout to our server. I really wish I remembered his name because he was an absolute gem. He was confident, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about our experience. You could tell he knew the menu like the back of his hand. His service truly elevated the experience. The interior of the restaurant is super cute and definitely feels like a place that could host large groups with ease. While nothing stood out enough to draw me back for a full dinner, I'd definitely return for happy hour. Great ambiance, strong drink selection, and shareables that hit the spot.

Yelp
I attended a birthday brunch and was not impressed by the food. We were a large group and I felt our server did a good job managing the table. I ordered the smash burger, I enjoy a good burger and this one was just okay. The edges of the bun were burnt and so were pieces of the bacon. The burger patty was dry and I had to use a lot of ketchup to add moisture. The fries were delicious. I was not the only one who felt the food was lack luster, there were other people in the party who when asked said their meal was subpar. The drinks however were a hit not just for flavor but also for price everyone enjoyed their beverages especially the cocktail of the month. I do not foresee myself coming back.

Yelp
Shout out to Jonathan O. He really welcomed me into The Finch's way of dining & took care of me from start to finish. Had I known that The Finch offered $12 mini martini flights & have a pretty decent happy hour Monday-Friday, I'd have been coming here a long time ago. It's okay though, I have all summer to bring my family & friends by. I must say I really love the floral decor around the bar & open concept of this restaurant. You walk right in to the host stand where you're greeted, then seated based on your own personal preference (I'm assuming so long as they're not busy). The food was pretty good. The first martini hit me pretty quickly, so I started with an order of their parmesan fries. They were fried to perfection and well seasoned, with sides of ketchup and homemade ranch to dip. For my main I went with the Korean chicken bao buns. Good flavor, chicken was juicy and for lunch I think is the perfect item to order as you're satisfied without being overly full. My only critiques are that I personally would've loved more cilantro for flavor elevation & less sauce (or offered on the side), because it started to overpower all the other ingredients after a while.

Yelp
We came here during happy hour and were really excited to explore the martini menu. We started with the martini flight, which was really good. We also ordered the espresso martini. For food, we ordered the chicken potstickers and the shrimp, but there was a hiccup in our order, and we received the meatballs. The drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing, but we were left a little disappointed by the food. It was subpar at best.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on the weekend! We started with meatballs for our appetizer which was good. For my entree I had the short rib hash. It was okay. I feel like it was missing a bit of flavor for me and was overloaded with roasted potatoes. The horseradish crème however was fantastic and a great pairing to the short rib. Our server was great. It was a busy weekend full of graduation lunches and he managed to always come to our table and make sure we had what we needed.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved their chicken and waffle! The chicken was tender and crisp but not oily! The waffle also had a nice crunch but was fluffy. The dish probably could use some more fruits in the side (there was a sliced up strawberry that was average). The jalapeño sausage was well cooked but the kick wasn't there. The jalapeño didn't really come through but it was a nice side pairing to the waffle. I also ordered a blackberry mocktail which was sweet and refreshing. The service was good but I thought it was weird that despite the many seats available there was limited seats for walk-ins. We were seated at a high top table near the bar which wasn't bad.

Yelp
I really tried to look past the three and a half stars because I've wanted to try this place for so long. I gave it two stars for the prompt greeting upon arrival and our waitress, Audrey, was lovely and attentive. The food was a huge disappointment. We came for Mother's Day brunch. It started out good with a delicious honey Siracha salmon, the Cajun chicken pasta, and crispy bacon. But when I got to the carving station the meats were so dried out. I even sat and waited to go back to see if they would put new out and even that was dried out. I was pretty bummed. So I went to get salad and the lettuce was brown on most of the edges. I can handle a little browning on the spine but when even the leaves are, I'm going to pass. I was so disappointed I didn't even bother with dessert. It was mixed around the salads and I saw a couple flies, which I get is going to happen with an open concept to the outside type of restaurant but I don't have to eat it. I was hoping to have high hopes for this restaurant. The inside is quite lovely and the outside patio was nice.

Yelp
So much parking nearby I loved the chic patio and interior . I couldn't decide if me and the kid would eat in or out. We decided to eat out . it was a great day so we didn't need the heaters they offered. The service was wonderful. Everyone was helpful with my kiddo, food came out fast, and it was really good. We had the steak and eggs. steak comes sliced. I feel like it's not a big one , it's a ny strip and the potatoes were great. eggs....ehhh I had the rose fri something, it was amazing. My daughter loved the fruit, it was fresh and the steak. I will definitely come back

Kim J.

Yelp
The service was great. The drinks were okay. I ordered the Cajun chicken because I saw a pic online and it looked like a nice portion and looked really good. When I received my order, I felt bamboozled. If I'm not mistaken, this is a 20+ dollar meal, and I received the smallest portion ever like a kid's meal. I spoke to the waiter, and he offered to get the manager, but I'm scared of getting my food tampered with, so I just let it go. Outside of that everything was good.

Yelp
We came in at an in between time and were seated quickly. We let the waiter know that we were in a rush and he obliged. Service was quick and solid. They did a great job getting my martini order correct. No complaints.

Yelp
I loved the Cajun pasta. The oat milk latte was not that good. The service was kinda bad overall

Yelp
The combination of a charming patio, diverse food options, and excellent service makes it an ideal spot for gatherings and events. It's great to hear that the atmosphere and decor left a positive impression, and splitting checks easily is always a bonus. Brunch sounds like another wonderful opportunity to enjoy the place again!

Yelp
I was here on a Sunday for brunch and mimosas, then returned the following Saturday for martinis!! I really like the aesthetics of this place, and it drew a very diverse crowd which I love. I sat at the bar so I had a nice view of the restaurant and patio :) Food wise it was meh. I had the chicken and waffles which was pretty good. It could've used more salt and less spice. The wagyu chicken fried steak was tasty but too chewy. I was expecting better especially since it was wagyu. Now the drinks were awesome! I had a martini flight and I was feeling right by the time I was done! They were yummy and served in a cute martini glass holder. I will be back specifically for this and to try out some other dishes that may tickle my fancy. Perhaps the chicken Caesar salad. I saw several people ordering those.

Yelp
Tried this place for lunch, though it seems there isnt a dedicated lunch menu. It was not particularly busy on a wednesday. The waitstaff kept our drinks filled without asking, which is a definite pro on a july day. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Good flavor but my main complaint is that I asked if there was cheese and was told there was only cheese sprinkled on top but they could eliminate that. Well there was definitely cheese in the dish (I noticed the strings clumping a bite of grits together halfway through). My companions had the fish tacos (I was told they were delicious) and the blackened chicken sandwich (which I was informed was average but not as good as a similar dish at other establishments). I liked the style of the restaurant and suspect when it is cooler the patio would be very nice. I would probably return for cocktails, since I did not try them, but don't know that I would partake in the food.

Yelp
We were there for new years eve and I was happy with service and food. The place is very well decorated and we knew it would be busy do to the holiday but we did not feel rushed at all. Small portions but it was expected from other reviews and pictures. The cookie skillet was the cherry on top! Will come back for brunch
google avatar

Yelp
Dinner with a view! The ambiance of this place is so nice with the water views and lots of windows for natural lighting. They also have a nice big patio. I got their filet mignon. It was tender and flavorful. We also ordered the peanut butter cake for dessert, it was smaller than I expected, but it was good. This is a fun area to have dinner and walk around after, they usually have a water show with

Yelp
This was my first time at the Finch and I will definitely come back just for the martini flight alone and if you come during the week, on specific days, you can even get a little martini 75 cents. Our waitress Tamarria was awesome. She helped with recommendations and she made sure we had everything we needed. I came with my daughter and a friend to have brunch. Their menu is not huge for brunch, but they do have some pretty tasty options. My daughter got a smoked bacon melt but my kid is picky. So she took half the toppings off, which I put on the side, which ended up giving me a nice breakfast the next morning, but she loved the bacon and the bread, but she wasn't crazy about the herb roasted potatoes. They have peppers, onions, and mushrooms in them. So if you don't like those ingredients they might not be for you. I got the the blackened redfish tacos that came with a little arugula salad, and my food was amazing. The fish was perfectly cooked. It had a little bit of a crunch and the arugula salad was flavorful, it was a nice compliment against the fish tacos. I also enjoyed a martini flight. You pick 3 out of the 4 that they offer. I got the lemon drop, pom tini, and the appletini. The apple was my favorite but they were all good and nice sized for $12. I will definitely come back again. Now the later you hang out, the more expensive the prices become because the dinner menu prices are significantly different from the brunch and lunch menu. So just keep that in mind, as you plan your outing. There's also plenty of parking if you're okay walking a little bit because they have a free parking garage, but you may be fortunate to find parking even closer. But there are a lot of stores in the area so it can be hit or miss.

Yelp
3.7?? This place is underrated as f*ck! Came here with my gf for happy hour, she said it looked nice. We got: - Dozen oysters (all great) - The salmon crudo was phenomenal. That crispy chili made it really come together. - The rock shrimp were great too. Not too much breading, and decently large juicy shrimp. - My gf liked her fish tacos. She said they were fresh and flavorful, though a bit dry. But definitely not skimpy. - The steak frites were fairly solid. The steak could have used a little more love with seasoning, but overall cooked well. - The chicken fried chicken fell a bit flat. Was a little overcooked / dry / plain for me. Overall though, the food is great. They definitely excel at their appetizers, while the entrees could use a little work. That said, the place is very nicely decorated, and our server was very friendly and attentive. My gf doesn't like onions and he made sure none got on her plates, but made it on mine. Great guy :) Absolutely would come back here again, and the happy hour prices are very affordable.

Yelp
Our service was great and we did not need a reservation. The ambiance inside is cute however they could dim the lights a little come dinner time. They have an outdoor patio, good for groups. Their happy hour drinks are $7 and food ranges for 6-8$ on happy hour. Would recommend coming for happy hour. The food was good but not something i needed to have again.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here before the SMU football game. We made a reservation online but it wasn't too crowded when we got there. The restaurant itself is beautiful, including the bar area and the outside patios with twinkling lights. We sat inside in a half booth half table which was comfortable. We started with the queso which was good and included meat and a few other toppings mixed in. Then I had the French dip sandwich, my son had a grilled chicken sandwich, and my husband had the grilled fish tacos. Everything was really great, and we enjoyed our meal a lot. Look forward to coming back!
google avatar

Temina C.

Yelp
My cousin, brother, and I had such a wonderful experience and time here. We sat outside on a beautiful day around 11am and enjoyed appetizers before our meal. They only serve their brunch menu during brunch on weekends. Our first appeziver was the trout dip, which I highly recommend. It was phenomenal. I ordered the short rib hash, and it was so greasy I couldn't eat it. Flavor was okay...I honestly, I would skip this dish but everything else was fantastic. The steak and eggs and chicken fried steak was exceptional and cooked perfectly. Brian, our server was fantastic! He kept our coffee cups full and was incredibly helpful!
google avatar

Francis M.

Yelp
Went there for a date night with my girlfriend, we had the salmon crudo and the filet. The food was spectacular, and our server Frank was great. We ordered dirty gin martinis, and they were exactly what we wanted. Can't wait to come back, and have Frank take care of us.

Jc C.

Yelp
Had a great night with my family. The service was amazing! We had a waiter named Derek who was nice, and very understanding with our big table! Would definitely come back very soon.

Jasmine W.

Yelp
Restaurant had a great aesthetic with beautiful seating indoor and out. I would highly recommend trying their mimosa flight or sitting on the patio for happy hour. Our service was great and waiters were very attentive to our needs and questions. Our food came fast, and there is a complimentary valet out front which is extremely helpful with the limited parking in Mockingbird Station.
google avatar

Yelp
I can here for their prefix Christmas Eve menu special. I will say the value for it was great. ($55 per person and $25 for additional wine) Service was honestly poor. They rushed us the entire time and never once checked up on us. I think it's kinda rude to push a check on people when serving them something. The inside was so cute and clean- but the food was pretty average- the French onion soup was hot but on the greasy side with a LOT of oil. The prime rib entree was good but my piece had so much fat so I had to cut out a huge chunk. The mash potatoes, meat, and asparagus had no salt/flavor. We asked for some salt and the shaker they gave us was empty LOL. Our server was never present so our entree was slightly bland. The dessert was probably the best part. The cake was somewhat tough but rich- and the coconut cup was so smooth. We also did the $25 wine tasting and i get that it was two half glasses- but the amount was so low that it was better to just order two regular glasses at the same price. I def felt cheated there. Overall underwhelming especially on the service. If our server was better I would rate this place higher.

Yelp
Great happy hour and place! We went back from brunch too and it was amazing! Highly recommend this place for any meal or drink!

Yelp
I have never been to the finch before and I was surprised by various components firstly we had been sent a message prior to arriving to confirm our arrival and time of reservation and that we would be given a grace period if we were late so we had arrived early as to not need the grace period and we arrived at 3 mins before our reservation and were told we couldn't be seated until the reservation time and were then left waiting the tone of the hostess was a tad rude and unwelcoming and we were considering leaving until our sever arrived he gave us a lot of attention and met all our needs and even cracked a few good jokes carlos is by far the best for turning our experience around if you want good service from good servers come here but be warned of the hostess with an attitude
google avatar

R G.

Yelp
Pros: great patio, some of the waitstaff is super friendly and helpful, the mocktails are tasty, and - when done just right - some of the dishes are delicious. Cons: the host stand staff is discombobulated more often than not, and sometimes, the dishes tend toward oversalted.
google avatar

Rome M.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and menu! I came for lunch looking to eat light, so got: blackened redfish tacos: very meaty nicely spiced and grilled pieces of fish. The coleslaw and mango steals the show! Tzatziki & feta: soft warm naan goes well with both dips. The pita chips were rock hard. Grilled Salmon: nice crispy and flavorful piece with some peppers and veggies. Looked like bokchoi. Servers were very attentive with an energetic room of folks. Getting food out quick. Really a 3.5 but (we had water) feels overpriced for this.

Yelp
We were thankful to get a last minute table for Thanksgiving with a reservation made earlier in the day. We were seated immediately. Host wasn't very friendly but I attributed it to their busy schedule and working on a holiday. Food arrived rather quickly, but after waiting a bit for our waiter to take our order. Food plated nicely. My husband had the crusted flounder over spinach. I had the salmon with sriracha sauce with bok Choi and our daughter had linguini with shrimp scampi. She enjoyed her dish. We weren't impressed with ours. Let's just say I wouldn't go out of my way when in Dallas to eat there. It was edible. I had the seasonal sangria and he had the espresso martini. Both were just okay. Mine was watered down from the amount of ice. They had dessert, peanut butter cake and crème brûlée. He didn't taste any peanut flavor. The crème brûlée had no depth with very little crème. Festive outdoor seating area and a very nicely laid out interior.
google avatar

Codi B.

Yelp
Came for lunch last week, very beautiful aesthetics here. The menu for lunch was on the smaller side but still had good options to choose from. Our waiter was very attentive. Price point to portion size was normal for Dallas. We sat on the patio and yes it was very windy but we managed. My mocktail was very tasty. The chicken bao buns were probably my favorite thing we tried. Not sure what was Korean about it but they were tasty. The meatballs were full of flavor and tasty as well. The short rib was a tad disappointing. Everything on the dish didn't merry well. I should've went with the Cajun pasta. It was a nice place to try.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday brunch and I was pleased overall. We had good service and the food and drinks matched! I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was flavorful and delicious! We also ordered the banana foster French toast as a "dessert" to share as well. And now that was DIVINE! It would've been too sweet for our actual meal personally I think, but it was a great sweet treat to share. Definitely recommend you trying it. And on top of that, they brought out a nice little brownie treat with a sparkler on it once the server was told by my friend that it was my birthday! The drinks were nice and refreshing. I'd go back for brunch for sure, but wouldn't mind checking out their lunch or dinner options as well.

Yelp
I cannot recommend the Finch enough...I came Sunday Morning for Brunch after Church with my Wife. We started with some amazing cocktails and Donut holes and finished with some steak and eggs. The vibe on the patio was amazing while our server Jack made the whole experience feel effortless. Super friendly, on point with everything, and you could tell he really cared about making sure we were taken care off! Great Food and Great place! Ask for Jack!

WaNesha J.

Yelp
The lighting is absolutely perfect. I swear it makes everyone look beautiful. The decor feels upscale but it is completely approachable. Really relaxing vibe. We had a very attentive waitress. Matter of fact all of the staff was friendly and eager to assist. I had the fish dip.. they served it with these potato waffles (3) and some doctored saltine crackers and mini naans. They fumbled the ball making this appetizer so déclassé with those throw away crackers and naan. The potato waffles are all you need. Also the meatballs... delicious! The depth of flavor and intensity of the sauce. Again yummy. For my entree I had the chicken fried steak.. this was also delicious and hearty ( I had left overs)

Abraham L.

Yelp
The bar staff at this location is always on point! Despite having a large group on the other end of the bar, Alexis & sebastian made sure we were taken care of and answered any questions we had. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you've never been!

Ryan A.

Yelp
They list 8$ martinis and 12$ martini flights but really they're just BATCH garbage that's come in a gross looking plastic bottle thanks but no thanks. One of the martinis says it's a classic martini. You should ADD a "*" to the menu because these martinis taste fake and served rodeo cold. Also the service was quite slow for being not that busy during happy hour. Would not recommend

Yelp
Finch-in' for a compliment... The Finch replaced what was once the beloved Cafe Express here in Mockingbird Station, and while driving by, I was intrigued at the large outdoor seating area with plenty of couples dining out on any given evening. So, after booking a reservation a few weeks in advance, I was disappointed upon arriving to find out that the entire patio was closed for an event. I thought I was in for a bumpy ride after this revelation. However, while the inside of the restaurant isn't anything too impressive, aside from the elegant and tasteful bar, the cocktails were pretty great, and the cuisine was also, again, pretty great! Nothing that really begs going back for, but good enough that it was all very enjoyable. If I lived in the lofts close by, I would frequent The Finch a lot more, but a part of me really misses Cafe Express. The Finch just feels like too much but also not enough. Maybe if I had been seated on the patio, I would've had a better critique of this place, but until that gets corrected, my review stands as is.

Yelp
Plenty of parking outside. Food was good, service was good. Attentive but not annoying. My dish was delicious. We were a big group and there were no issues with everyone getting their own checks

Yelp
We had a nice experience here. Jonathan was our waiter. He was kind and provided great recommendations. We thought the atmosphere was going to be more dressy but it is casual. We were celebrating our anniversary and thought the ambiance would've/could've been a little darker or intimate may be a better word. There was an option to choose if we were celebrating an occasion, when we made our reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged until we said something. When we got there, there was really no one there but as it picked up, EVERYONE was on the same side, in the same section. We looked like one big party. In their defense, we may have expected more bc of the reviews we saw for the GP location. Now, the FOOOOOD was OMG . Jonathan recommended the Cowboy Queso as a Starter and it was delish. My short rib was tender. It basically melted in my mouth. My husband had the Honey Sriracha Glazed Salmon and he said he needed to get the recipe lol. We were so impressed by the food we asked for dessert but forgot to take a pic. We had the Cast Iron Cookie which was a Red Velvet Cookie with dark chocolate and caramel sauce and whipped cream. Kudos to the chef! The question is would we eat here again? The answer is YES!! Overall, we give a 4/5.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!!! We went across the street to the Knife first and had to walk out after appetizers. It was terrible. Decided to try The Finch since it was directly across the street. The staff saved the day at The Finch. Service was first class. Food and drink were excellent!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you The Finch!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Great food, slow service, not the friendliest. Not what you would expect hospitality wise for the ambiance of the restaurants

Yelp
Met a girlfriend here for dinner and if you are looking for a gorgeous restaurant with great food at a decent price- this is your spot. I started with a glass of Sauvignon blanc and we had fries to share. Next up, we split the sliders and hummus plate. Bonus points for the great variety of veggies with the hummus. The finch makes it easy to get extra veggies in. The overall volume at the bar was great. Not too loud that you can't chat and catch up. We had attentive service from two of the bartenders, but I do generally think that sitting at bars you get faster service. Definitely want to come back for a happy hour- half priced cocktails and wine? Yes, please!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for so long and I'm so glad i did! I got their famous "aesthetic"espresso martini and the Korean bao buns. Both were great! The ambiance was very pretty and the service was fast. My waiter was very kind and was always checking on us making sure the food tasted great.

Yelp
Came here with my husband and our friend for dinner. $233 for 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. The food was very mediocre outside of the Japanese Katsu steak sandwich. Nice ambiance but the waiter wasn't very good at all. Our friend asked about the menu and the feedback he gave us was that the waiter had no clue about it and was just using filler words to describe the items. Also, there were only 4 tables there including ours and he only checked on us once after bringing our order out and never returned to ask us if we wanted or needed anything else. When you have a menu with these type of prices we expect exceptional service and someone who knows the menu very well. Sadly, this restaurant disappointed and I wouldn't return.

Yelp
The cutest place! I came with a girlfriend and we patronized the happy hour menu. We got the Martini flights. All of them were way too sweet. I ordered a ton of items from the happy hour menu. My favorite item was the humus and the meatball. All of the other items were not the best. The reason I put such a high rating is because the happy hour prices were really good and there is a variety of things that you can pick from on the happy hour menu. I love that there were so many choices. I just wish there were better choices.

Yelp
All we had were the oysters and no complains on our end! It's a good place for a quick stop for something small before your real dinner

Yelp
Visited with my family on a busy Friday evening (with a reservation), and we were seated right away at a great booth off to the side. The decor is gorgeous, clean and bright - even at night. The place was packed, lots of people celebrating at big tables, so we knew that our best bet would be to choose our 7-year-olds meal, plus apps and drinks before our server came so we could enjoy ourselves since it was so busy and likely going to take some time. It took over 15 minutes for us to be greeted, and once we ordered apps and the kid's dinner, we saw that people around us seemed to be upset. We realized pretty quickly that other tables were not getting food; one group got up and left, and the table next to us had the manager come to help. We eventually ordered dinner, but after 30 minutes hadn't gotten our appetizer or our kids food, so we asked and the server had to confirm what we ordered. 20 minutes later, our salad came, but still no apps or kids food. We gave them 15 minutes more and even after the manager came (after we literally had to yell to him to stop running past our table) the food came out bit by bit...it was a mess. By the time we were there for 90 minutes, we knew all of the other places around were closing and we were starving. FINALLY, the food arrived and it was bland, under-seasoned, dry; the best thing was the kids' chicken tenders. The comped us two desserts, which were also just ok. The manager was very apologetic, but our server was not great - kept forgetting things, kept making waiter-jokes at super inappropriate times, just everything was off. When I was relaying this incident to friends, they pretty much all had similar experiences. The Finch is a dud.

Yelp
Foodie Alert! If you're looking for a nice upscale family-style restaurant, you must check out The Finch, located in Mockingbird Station. They offer lunch, dinner, happy hour (m-f 3-6pm), and brunch on the weekends. Our waiter Alec, was amazing! He took good care of us and ensured us the best dining experience! I look forward to going back for their A5 Katsu sandwich and brunch! #MsHopeEats: Cocktails: Blackberry Lavender Lemonade Finch 75 Staters: Firecracker Meatballs Off The Grill: Grilled Chicken Sandwich Blackened Redfish Tacos Dessert: Butterscotch Pecan Bread Pudding

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. I saw that this new restaurant and wanted to try this place because I am always excited to try out new restaurants in the area. I was here with my friend for happy hour and dinner. We ended up getting a couple of starters, a dozen of oysters, striped bass entree, and a side of broccolini. Since the beginning, the server we had was rude. I had some questions about the happy hour menu and what oysters are included in the menu. He did not really explain much and said the oysters are the chef's choice. Second, when we ordered the crab dip starter, he told us we have to order the full size because everyone asks for the full order. But we were fine with ordering the happy hour portion and wanted to try a few items on the menu any way. That being said, they should be upright about their happy hour to begin with. One of happy hour deals is half off starters. But what that means is they give you half the portion of what you order. It's not really "half off." They should be transparent about that. The server did not say anything about that until we started ordering. When he served us the oysters, he could have at least let us know where the origin of them are, but he didn't. But I enjoyed the oysters. We also ordered the little neck clams, but I thought they were a little overcooked. The redeeming parts of the dish was the white wine, garlic butter sauce they cooked it in and the focaccia bread. On to our entrees--I thought the fish was overcooked. And when we got the broccolini, after I took my first bite, there was something chewy and bitter in my mouth. Immediately, I had to remove it from my mouth. To my surprise, it was a RUBBER BAND! We brought this to our server's attention, but he did not believe us and said it is part of the broccolini. He even turned on his flash light on his phone and directed it at the rubber band and said it is not a rubber band. That was very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. Ultimately, the server did apologize and brought us over a new dish. The manager and chief of operations also came out to apologize and they wanted to understand the situation. They were receptive of our feedback. The server was also training someone who I thought did a better job than he did. He was giving the trainee a hard time in front of us and scolding him, which was a little unprofessional. Despite their attempt to fix the problem, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. If you are thinking of trying this place, I hope you have a better experience than I did.
