"The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel’s version of a Dave & Busters has skeeball and shuffleboard instead of a Jurassic Park shoot ‘em up, and while a child or two might be visible, the scene skews toward people who were indeed alive when the first movie came out. The bar food, like their sweet Maxwell Street Polish honoring the classic Chicago sausage, is better than average but it’s the drink specials that make this a fun place to be an adult: co-workers marking another conference survived can split the Victory Lap, a large tequila cocktail for four-to-six served in a trophy. The Game Room is like a reclusive baron’s low-lit kick-back spot, an ideal scene for those who want sports and a good bar, without a rowdy crowd." - john ringor, adrian kane, nick allen, veda kilaru, sam faye
"On the second floor of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel — the same building known for Cindy’s Rooftop on the third floor — the Game Room offers arcade basketball, shuffleboard tables, and other games. The hotel has a vintage gymnasium and pays tribute to games of yesteryear. The Game Room offers quality food and drink. Order at the bar and food runners will take care of you while you nosh on a Maxwell Street Polish sausage, burger, or chicken wings. The bar will remain open, even as Boka Restaurant Group assumes control of the space this winter." - Eater Staff

"Land & Sea Dept. is vacating the building’s second floor, home of Cherry Circle Room, a vintage Chicago restaurant without windows surrounded by dark wood; Milk Room, a tiny eight-seat bar that pours fancy drinks and vintage spirits; and Game Room, the bar area outside Cherry Circle Room that serves light bites and beer surrounded by pool tables and other games. There’s also the lobby bar, the Drawing Room." - Ashok Selvam
"This is the bar you have to walk through to get to Cherry Circle Room. Although you might not ever get there, because Game Room’s atmosphere and activities are a lot of fun on their own. This place also looks like it belongs in an old mansion, with big leather seats, billiards tables, and a bocce court. Plus, it serves well-made classic cocktails. Basically, coming here will make you want to wear a monocle and/or purchase Baltic Avenue." - adrian kane
"Game Room is on the second floor of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel and has a bocce court, billiards, foosball, darts, and board games, along with excellent cocktails and bar food like footlong Chicago dogs. It’s right across from Millennium Park and is actually kid-friendly (only until 9pm), making it the perfect place to go after they re-enact the flagpole scene from A Christmas Story with the Bean." - josh barnett
