"Two minutes from Hampstead Heath overground station, The Garden Gate is, shockingly, known for its spacious garden. It’s also a five minute walk away from Hampstead Heath. Just make sure you get the first round in. Don’t keep your favourite outside spots secret, email us at london@theinfatuation.com. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

This is another nice pub in Hampstead, situated next to the Overground station and less than a 5 minute walk to the Royal Free Hospital. They had four cask beers and I opted for a London Pride at £6.65. It is a large pub, quite dark and atmospheric. The surprise is the large beer garden, a delightful spot. The service was excellent, very friendly bar staff. I would have liked to have seen a larger whisky selection but that is just my personal view as I love whisky. They offer an extensive food menu, both hot and cold, with daily specials e.g. deluxe fish pie and veg, £17.50. It was not too busy for 12.30pm on a Tuesday although most customers were ordering food. I really enjoyed my visit here.

Myself and two others just had the Sunday Lunch and really enjoyed it! Two of us had the roast sirloin of beef and thoroughly enjoyed it. One of us had the roast pork belly and thought it was very enjoyable. The Brownie was delicious and we thought it was reasonably priced. I would advise booking a table for a Sunday because it was busy with a great atmosphere. We have been coming for years and will continue to do so for many more to come. Thank you to the staff and especially the chef !

The "garden gate" is a cozy pub with a warm atmosphere. They offer a good selection of beers and ales, and the food is classic pub fare. We enjoyed the sharing plates(highly recommend nachos and camembert bread). Service was really friendly. They were all having a genuinely good time, laughing with each other and with the customers. It created such a lively and positive atmosphere. You could tell they enjoyed working there, which made the whole experience much more enjoyable.

really lovely pub, perfect for summer. great beer garden, although we booked an outside table and we’re sat under a canopy so didn’t get much of the sunshine. I’d recommend specifying if you want to sit in the sun when you book!! ☀️ food was good, a little pricey but as to be expected for the area. £6.50 pints of cider, some beers were cheaper. there’s no table service so you order at the bar. overall - great location and vibe so would defo come back for the summer time!

The highlight: This pub has beautiful and spacious outdoor seating, which is usually very busy on a nice day! I recommend booking a table in advance via their website. The food needs to be ordered and paid via a QR code and gets served to the table. The drinks need to be ordered at the bar. We visited for Sunday roast - the roast to share had loads of meat. ⛰️ The vegan roast was nice to try, but lacked some flavour and was quite dry even though we used all of the provided gravy. I wouldn't necessarily have it again. I recommend the spiced chickpea salad 👍
