Funky, tropically inspired bar serving Caribbean-style bites, along with cocktails, wine & beer.
"Starting this week (and running until the end of October), The Garret Nolita is hosting a tropical-themed pop-up with frozen cocktails galore and plants installed from the floor to the ceiling. Expect live DJ sets every Thursday through Sunday night, bamboo furniture, and a mezcal drink called “Tamarind Tambourine.” You can make a reservation ahead of time here." - Hannah Albertine
"Nolita’s the Garret Coctelería has launched a new pop-up, following a successful holiday version in December. Winter in the Tropics, as the pop-up is called, features 52 heated outdoor seats, hot and cold cocktails, nachos, and more. The pop-up runs till March 31." - Tanay Warerkar
"Until the end of December, The Garret Nolita is hosting a Latin-inspired holiday pop-up called Feliz Coctelería. The whole indoor space and a few private, heated outdoor cabins are decorated with hanging wreaths and colorful string lights, which you can sit under while drinking a hot toddy with guajillo-infused bourbon out of a santa-shaped mug." - Matt Tervooren
"The Garret Nolita is crowded pretty much every night, and while it’s a fun place to come and drink slushies, it’s also pretty loud - so maybe leave it for the third or fourth time you’ve all hung out after work. Unless you want to scream that well-honed explanation about how your college major had nothing to do with what you do now." - Hannah Albertine
"The Garret in the East Village is a slightly better date spot, but the Nolita location is very useful when you need a cool place to get weeknight drinks with someone in the area. It’s a small space filled with potted plants and a couple of booths, and they make some good cocktails. Get here early to guarantee yourself a seat, and be aware that this place gets very busy on the weekend." - Bryan Kim
