I LOVE this very memorable top floor of the Hotel Esplanade.
Like stepping back in time a hundred years, the historical upper floor features furniture, art and decor from the 19th century honouring the life of Alfred Felton who actually lived on these premises. Lots of nooks and crannies for privacy, conversation or just to explore, and a few different bars( check out the "Pharmacy") and seated lounges. Also notable are the uniquely decorated female toilets on this floor- gorgeous tiles and bright period colours.
I attended a 1920s murder mystery evening and this was the perfect venue to play host, setting the scene perfectly.
Food and drinks were average and costly- but the venue & it's unique atmosphere is an absolute star!🌟
