I'm in too much of a shock to write a properly detailed review. I was so upset for weeks than I am only now writing this. But our experience here was absolutely terrible and disappointing. We were not given the rooms we we initially reserved, and on top of that they tried to made it seem like it was our fault by saying we used the wrong words. they literally said we used the wrong "words" when making our reservation. So make sure your vocabulary is on point when you reserve I guess? Crazy. On top of that, we had to sit and start setting up for the wedding party in a completely different room because they took their time deciding if they could get us into the right rooms. Then instead of being able to enjoy our event we spend all those ours waiting for their manager and then an additional hour transferring everything to the new rooms. They took so long that I am thinking it was intentional a that point. Maybe if we had different appearances they would have treated us more fairly if you know what I mean.||On top of this series of unfortunate events, they did not honor the prices we originally reserved under. They charged us for the second set of rooms which was significantly more expensive. The concierge looked me in my face and told me they were not going to do that. This establishment is unorganized, disrespectful, and a complete shame to the lodging and hospitality industry.

We come to Glendale often and have tried several hotels in the area, this one is by far the best. Super clean, great service, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great too, though the coffee is Starbucks, which is a bit of a letdown. Still, easily our top pick in the area.

I stayed at The Glenmark recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. During my stay, I lost a Cartier ring that was very meaningful to me — a gift from my mother. I clearly remember leaving it in the room’s makeup bag, and I hadn’t worn it since. After checking out and realizing it was missing, I contacted the hotel immediately. What shocked me was the lack of responsibility and transparency in how the situation was handled. Despite multiple follow-ups, I received no clear explanation or genuine effort to investigate. It felt like the issue was being brushed aside. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected professionalism, empathy, and at the very least, communication. Sadly, that has not been my experience. I’m sharing this in the hope that the management will take this seriously and improve how they handle guests’ property and concerns. One week passed, still no follow-ups from hotel and I had to chase them down. No visibility regarding how the investigation was conducted. I expected a clear explanation about how a ring can be lost in my own makeup bag when I went out!

My cousin reserved our room for our 2-night stay because we’re not from the US, and coming in from Yosemite on a long drive. This place was magical after arriving just before midnight. It was a tiring drive but the hotel made us rest really well. That tapsilog breakfast, albeit steaks and eggs in real life with rice is glorious. We will stay here again soon, hopefully in the next FIFA World Cup.

I stayed at The Glenmark in Glendale back in Nov. of 2024 and, while the hotel has potential, my experience in room 401 was unfortunately marred by several issues that impacted the quality of my stay. The most concerning was a drain fly infestation in the shower. Despite cleaning them out, they returned within a day—a clear sign of an unresolved plumbing or sanitation issue. Other concerns included: 1. In-room climate control that operated on a motion sensor. The AC/heat would shut off if I remained still while lying down, which made it difficult to stay comfortable overnight. 2. Noise from above—footsteps and pacing from the room above were clearly audible through the ceiling. 3. Strong cannabis odor filled the hallway on Friday evening, likely from a neighboring room. 4. Over-conditioned water, which left my skin feeling like soap wouldn’t rinse off—something I hadn’t encountered before. When I requested a room change, only options on the 5th floor were available, but staff mentioned those rooms often experience noise from the bar/lounge above on the 6th. That said, my friends stayed in room 204 and didn’t experience the same issues aside from the overly soft water, so it’s possible my experience was an isolated one. The property has promise, especially with its modern design and location, but room consistency and operational issues need improvement to match the hotel’s boutique ambitions.

Mother’s Day 2025 Ruined – Discriminatory & Unacceptable Experience I came here with my family for Mother’s Day expecting a beautiful brunch — instead, we left humiliated, hurt, and disgusted by the treatment we received. We had a reservation and were seated on the rooftop in over 90-degree heat. The service was fine not top tier but fine. He mentioned it would be a while for our food- not sure why maybe because they just opened. We said ok and After this I personally never talked to the server again. He never asked me for a refill or more drinks. We were constantly moving the umbrella as the sun was moving -Then the only umbrella shading our party was taken away mid-meal by staff and handed to another table — a table that already was under an awning. No explanation. No apology. I was like “um excuse me?” And was ignored. Just completely left us exposed in the blazing sun. My 3-year-old daughter ALREADY had a wet towel on her face just to stay cool before they took it. My 6 y/o daughter started getting sunburned. My elderly mother, who has high blood pressure, became distressed. This wasn’t just uncomfortable — it was unsafe. To make things worse, we had to ask for water, and were given only three glasses for eight people. Our server never returned to check on drinks or offer help. Meanwhile, other tables (with very different demographics) were being catered to attentively. We were the only Latino/Hispanic group dining there, and the difference in treatment was painfully obvious. It felt discriminatory — like we didn’t matter or belong. No regard for our comfort, no professionalism, and absolutely no hospitality. We ended up leaving early, not because we wanted to, but because we were left with no other choice. This place markets itself as upscale and inclusive, but our experience was anything but. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone — especially families or people who are Latino . Do better, Glenmark.

2025 Family Wedding Party - 14 International Guests travelling from overseas. Tired, hungry, and jetlagged from travel. ABYSMAL, UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. 0 Stars. Writing this review on their behalf. From arrival to check-out, the Glenmark failed to meet even basic expectations in every way, and doesn't come remotely close to a a "4-star" experience. We've had far better service at budget motels. TL;DR: Only stay here if you have absolutely NO other options. Preface to review details below: We came hoping to spend precious quality time together as a family in a comfortable, upscale setting. Instead, we couldn't wait to leave, as soon as our reservations were up. I was hoping with our larger international family guest list, that the accommodations, restaurants, amenities, etc. encouraged us to spend more time together and gave us a chance to unwind and relax. Instead, we were confused, cheated, and baited into overspending for a "4 star" experience. Miserable experience!

We enjoyed our weekend stay overall. Valet, front desk, and everyone was attentive. Minus two stars for being forced to the only room available; apparently corporations are allowed to amend your advance reservation of a specific room even when you've checked in via app ahead of time. Slight disappointment in that situation, not sure if I would return to Marriot or this location if they continue to oversell and prioritize other guests over reservations. The room was an accessible room, which had odd placements, or none, for towels (directly near the toilet which seemed unsanitary). While the room was comfortable, the pillows were crap and the sounds of the door closing from other rooms were very loud and noticeable. I did enjoy the soft plush bathrobes. Bar downstairs was fantastic and the rooftop restaurant was great as well.

Yelp
Luxury boutique hotel located in the north Glendale area. My family stayed here not too long ago and we chose this place based on location and that it is located in a relative safe area. The lobby and the bar downstairs had a sleek and modern design. This hotel feels a little on the newer side. There's a pretty good selection at the bar, but the prices are a little bit out of my range, haha. The room was pretty nice. It's not a huge room, but it feels big enough and has pretty much everything you need. We also checked out the gym. It's one of those gyms where it doesn't seem to be utilized much, but that's a shame because the gym is really nice. There's plenty of equipment and whatever you need.

Yelp
No hospitality at the lobby. The lady at the desk was sitting down, slouching, seemed unapproachable and sleepy. When I asked at what time the bar opened for food, she said at 2 but didn't offer a glass of water or anything else while I waited, very inhospitable attitude. Next the bar opens at 2 . Guests are sitting in the bar area and the bar tender does not approach any of the guests. All guests have to go up to the bar to get service.

Yelp
I recently stayed at The Glenmark in Glendale and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel offers a modern and stylish atmosphere, with well-designed interiors that make for a comfortable and visually pleasing stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities you'd expect from a high-quality hotel, including a comfortable bed, large TV, and a luxurious bathroom. One of the standout features of The Glenmark is the rooftop bar and lounge, which provides stunning views of the surrounding area. It's the perfect spot to unwind with a drink and enjoy the sunset after a day of exploring Glendale or nearby Los Angeles. The staff at The Glenmark were generally friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming environment. The hotel's location is also convenient, with easy access to local shops, restaurants, and entertainment options in Glendale. While my stay was mostly positive, the reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is due to a couple of minor issues. The check-in process was a bit slow, and there was some noise from the street that could be heard in my room at night. However, these were not deal-breakers and did not significantly detract from the overall experience. In summary, The Glenmark is a great choice for anyone looking to stay in Glendale. It combines modern comfort with a touch of luxury, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to the area.

Yelp
Overall the place is new and fairly well kept. Front desk is helpful. There is one huge issue I have though and that is the non stop techno music from morning to night. The volume is higher than other hotels this rendering the lobby/business center useless. If you're considering having a meeting or any type of business conversation, specially online meetings you will be extremely frustrated. I understand being "modern" is in right now but, the ambience makes a huge difference in customer experience.

Yelp
The hotel was okay. Rooms are clean, hotel is in a quiet location with little within walking distance. For an autograph hotel it is fairly nondescript.

Yelp
This is my first time staying at the Glenmark and I am impressed! Due to some transportation complications, I needed to drop off my suitcase the night before check-in. The front desk was so gracious about holding my luggage and the valet were such gentlemen. I had a little snafu, as I requested a very quiet room, and my 2nd floor room over Brand avenue was anything but (imagine throngs of people living out their fast and furious fantasies LOUDLY all night long). The next day, I called down to the front desk to inquire about a room change to something truly peaceful. Mr. Patel and his colleague were exceptional - quickly finding me a new room on the other side of the building. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is well-maintained and it shows that management CARES. All of the staff has been so kind, professional and accommodating. Parking is easy and even the parking garage is well kept. And let's not forget about the robes...soooo plush. If I could live here would. Although my one complaint would be : the lack of hot water/tea options. There are only Nespresso machines in the rooms and I'm a tea drinker. *Sigh*.

Yelp
I had an amazing time at Glendamark's rooftop bar! The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing evening, and the view is simply stunning. The hookahs are top-notch, with a great selection of flavors that pair perfectly with their delicious food. The menu offers a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes, and everything I tried was cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to Irina and Artur, who made the experience even better. Their service was impeccable--they were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. If you're looking for a spot to unwind with great food, fantastic hookahs, and outstanding service, Glendamark is the place to be!

Yelp
Back to 5 stars since they omitted the 18 perc service charge (on top of tip) and bartended vibes, exhibits in lobby have really elevated this hotel lobby bar. Great work and thanks for actually listening to your customers concerns.

Yelp
We checked in on Saturday afternoon with no wait. Very friendly Drew who took care of us. Our room was on the 6th floor and opened to a view of the hills. We opted for the valet parking which was a great choice. It was so nice dropping and picking up the car when needed. They gave 5 star service. The room had 2 queen size beds and a large bathroom with shower. Very nice!! We had a package delivered to the hotel and the front desk held it safely for us until we asked for it. We ate at the roof top restaurant, initially we were going to leave because it was cool, but they turned on the heaters. We had a nice time taking in the nite with drinks and small plates. We were glad we stayed! (And thankful they offered the heaters) The next afternoon we had drinks at the lobby bar before heading out for the nite. It was a good atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. **perfect location to everything (LAX, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Studios, and arenas ect)

Yelp
The valet guys were amazing, but the hotel staff was unprofessional and dismissive. They just stand there and stare at you without acknowledging or offering any assistance. When I approached a girl at the front desk, someone else walked up and interrupted our conversation without any manners or apology from either of them. This seems to be a common theme among the guests and the staff. The hotel and the rooms are nice, but I ended up with bed bug bites all over.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute hotel in Glendale. The room is descent size and has a very comfortable bed. I was not a huge fan of the shower in our room. It gets a bit cold as the shower has only a partial glass partition but no door to keep the heat in. Also the water is softened and has a very slippery and slimy feeling. It's got a nice rooftop hookah bar with a very large Instagramable wings wall mural. The lobby has displays of cool arts from local artists. Since this is a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, there's no executive lounge for elite members. However, as a Marriott elite member, you will get a $20 credit/person to use at the cafe in the lobby. The food is light and healthy. If you are expecting a full breakfast buffet though, you'll be a little disappointed.

Yelp
This hotel was pretty good. Pros: 1. Fine location - about 20 minutes from Hollywood, reasonably quiet area 2. Cafe in hotel made it easy to get coffee in the morning. 3. Attentive valet, front desk staff, etc. 4. Comfy bed and pillows 5. Water and ice machine on our floor, near the elevator. 6. Fridge was nice and cold Cons: 1. Rug was really dirty 2. Food was inconsistent - we had one good meal and one bad. 3. Coffee maker was broken, and electricity didn't work on one side of the bedside table, BUT both were fixed quickly by a very nice engineer.

Yelp
I was on a family vacation and this hotel was just everything I needed for my little family. Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. The café food was delicious from breakfast, to lunch and dinner. They also had a rooftop that was beautiful and kids friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
The ambience was perfect. We had drinks and sushi. Service was excellent and quick. There is also a smoking area which was quite unique for a non smoking town.

Yelp
This place is expensive for no reason ,with no service what so ever, the staff is unprofessional ...the coffee is not good at all and it's always cold, the management doesn't know how to hire professionals or they don't train employees correctly.....very disappointing...I hope someone from management will read my review and take action....

Yelp
We were coming to Glendale for a weekend to, well, eat. A friend suggested The Glenmark to stay and after some research we booked a weekend stay. The hotel is new, clean and quite nice. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Glendale Galleria, Americana and several cute shops along the way. (gasp! I walked somewhere in LA!). There's self-parking that's $30/day, there is some street parking but it looks like there are some hour restrictions. So, why not five stars? Well, we were given a room on the sixth floor, which just happens to be beneath their rooftop bar. For the good portion of the evening, all we've been able to hear (and to some extent feel) are very heavy pounding of feet and dropping sounds making our quiet evening of relaxing, not so relaxing. If you're booked on the sixth floor if you choose to stay here, I'd suggest asking for a room on a lower floor. If you're not going to be spending evenings in your room, it might not be a bad deal. But if you're looking to unwind after a day of sightseeing (or eating in our case) beware.

Armen C.

Yelp
Great ambiance , good food , good service, good vibe...cocktails & appetizers on rooftop a must ! Is this Glendale or LA?
google avatar

Aiko N.

Yelp
This hotel is super cute, and highlights for me were the view of the mountains and city skyline (from room 601), the Nespresso coffee bar in the room, and the stunning lighting (that was easy to turn off all at once with a switch near the bed). The furniture, decor and room layout were absolutely lovely! I also enjoyed the downstairs ambience and full bar. Now for a list of my grievances, and it's mostly that I didn't care much for the bathroom: - wad of hair that wasn't mine, already in the shower - hard water stains in shower - half a shower door, so water goes out to the entryway - no tub :( - faucet extends too far over sink, making face washing difficult - scratchy, thin, too much bleach in the towels (and bed sheets!) Overall, I would stay here again as it's in a perfect location and my grievances, fixable. Oh, it's also loud here, which doesn't bother me as I live near a highway anyway.

Yelp
I love this place we have been staying here since the beginning!Love the restaurant on the rooftop and the one on the streetlevel.Service has always been amazon!!!!Great guy at the lobby Chris A and Jose! The area is very relaxed, not far from the grocery/coffeeshop and shopping area.Love that they have different art hanging all the time.

Yelp
Pretty hotel with large rooms and nice design. The staff was really nice My complaint is the heavy noisy doors. My neighbors went in and out of their rooms all night. And the door slams behind. I'll assume this is for some type of safety reason but it's so loud and jarring. I didn't sleep the first night at all. I heard noise all night the second night too. I don't know how they construct these hotels but you can hear next door. Upstairs. I wish they would put a bit more into making the doors quiet at least. The guests on my floor had no respect and let the doors slam shut every time they went in or out. Of note. This hotel does not offer laundry and the breakfast is not included and is a bit pricey. But they have a nice bathrobe and safe in the room. The rooftop terrace is really nice too. But this seems to be a party hotel. Lots of young people. Not for business people or families.

Yelp
Love everything about this hotel. Location- Glendale. A bit farther out but peaceful quiet. 20-30 min from ktown. 40-1hr from marina del Rey beach. Safe and great food/malls nearby. Trader Joe's and Walgreens down the block. Parking- free offsite street parking. It's rare to find a hotel in la that has free parking so this hit the spot. They have a garage that is $20 daily, not too bad. Lobby- beautiful modern lobby. Nice bar, was closed to covid. They have a coffee shop and restaurant on other side. Great coffee. Room- super duper nice and modern room. Nice wall art, plus the super amazing bathroom. Rooftop bar- pretty nice but def on the pricey side of things (~$20 a drink). Very older and fancier vibes. Downside is that a lot of places nearby tends to close by 11-12amish. If you're trying to get ratchet, you might need to drive to k-town (20 min drive). Overall this would be my go to hotel going forward. Love it.

Yelp
We were doing a staycation in LA for the weekend for my Birthday and the staff was amazing, the room beautiful and clean. It was central to everything we wanted to do and the staff was really great at accommodating us early. My family loved this stay so much so My Dad mentioned this would be his new hotel when staying in Glendale for business.

Yelp
A review for the Olia-Intelligentsia restuarant-cafe: A very aesthetic cafe great for meeting up with friends. Brunch here is delicious, and the coffee is phenomenal. Try the Shakshuka and the Buttermilk Pancakes. The Shakshuka is surprisingly not too acidic, but with a strong bite of spiciness, and avocado with toast makes it perfectly hearty in an otherwise light and bright dish. The buttermilk pancakes come with a sweet lemon sauce and blueberry compote, a very tasty combination. Great service with outdoor dining!

Yelp
Our 2nd floor room faced Brand Ave! The traffic sound was awful! Also we could hear every step of the people above us! Housekeeping missed cleaning our room one day! Staff not super friendly! Breakfast all food did not come together! Room and bathroom nice! Enjoyed rooftop bar!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel very modern and i love the Jonathan Adler decoration. Bar/lounge upstairs chill! Love the smell! Very accommodating! Would recommend!

Yelp
My friend took me here for a belated brunch. The views were amazing. Our server was there to refill our mimosas on the ready. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the food. It was mediocre. I would maybe go again for drinks, but I'm not sure I would dine there again.

Yelp
I want to start off by saying the staff at this hotel were all very kind and helpful. They truly wanted to make sure the guests had a worry free and comfortable stay. The rooms (saw 4 of them due to multiple friends staying at the same hotel) were all clean. The AC in the rooms were great too. The added bar in the lobby and restaurant on the roof are a great touch with equally as friendly of staff. My only complaint is a 3rd elevator would be great. With the hotel rooms, restaurant, and space for events... I found myself waiting a fair amount for the elevator.
google avatar

Jenn V.

Yelp
I want to give this place more stars, but the reviews about zero sound proofing are all true. Location is convenient, ambience is classy, and rooms were clean, but when you are in your room you hear everything - people in the halls, doors opening and slamming shut, and a lot of the noise from outside. We were redeeming some free nights for our weekend stay here, but probably won't be back.
google avatar

Tamika W.

Yelp
For the pricepoint very average. The rooms are very noisy. Its sad as they spent years constructing it yet they went cheap on a lot of things...

Brad S.

Yelp
We arrived to the Glenmark and were greeted with warm hospitaity and a Titanium room upgrade to a suite. Sean (pronounced like say ahn) really went out of her way to accommodate an early arrival. Great property!

Dan P.

Yelp
The management here leaves much to be desired. Prices are very high for almost everything and service is quite poor. Their lobby is kind of strange; they have a bunch of young women dressed in black loitering around the lobby and bar area all day. I suppose that is to attract more male clientele. The whole thing just seems kind of weird.
google avatar

Brett J.

Yelp
Ugh. I really want to like this place. The rooms are awesome and clean, the staff is extremely attentive and helpful, and the restaurant has great food at reasonable prices. The biggest problem I had with this place was with the construction. There is ZERO sound proofing. I could hear traffic driving up and down Brand Boulevard all night and could perfectly hear my neighbor's conversation when they were just talking at a normal level (not yelling or anything). Needless to say, I got no sleep.

Yelp
What a nice finding!! We were flying the next day from Pasadena Airport and I tried to find a hotel close to the Airport (yes, LA traffic can make you miss a flight) but on the 4/5 stars category. After researching and reading reviews, this was the only choice. I usually like to have at least two options to compare, so I had to fully trust the reviews :) The hotel just had valet for the restaurant, and the rest was self-parking. It was small, but understandable because it's a boutique hotel with not many rooms. We got an upgrade with a view and bigger size room, which was great, as we needed for the crib for our daughter. As I mentioned, room size was great for being a boutique hotel (in comparison with Kimpton or Thomson hotels). The decoration was really tasteful. The lobby at the hotel had a Painter Collection Exposition and I actually had the change to meet the painter. Also, the restaurant/lounge is pretty well known around the area, so it was full. The only downsize was the limited options at the minibar for non-alcoholic drinks. Highly recommended if you are staying around the area or need a hotel next to Pasadena Airport. Also, the Glendale Galleria, which is just 5 minutes away, is a really nice place for shopping or having lunch.

Yelp
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here (aside from the neighbors in the room next door who would let the door slam at all hours of the day). The check in was very swift and easy. Thankfully we were placed on the 4th floor; apparently we were slotted to have a room on the 6th which was right underneath the rooftop bar and restaurant. We received breakfast vouchers for each day of our stay. Let's talk breakfast experience- WOW. I was actually blown away at how at how visually appealing and tasty they were. I tried the shakshuka and the avocado toast. They both were so incredibly satisfying. The have really great tea and coffee too. The interior sit down area is so beautiful. If I needed to have a place to do some work and I lived close by, I'd come back here!

Yelp
The pictures online look amazing, I was excited to book there and enjoy the roof and do s'more's but it turns out that the roof is rented to a restaurant and the fire pit you see in pictures is not part of the restaurant, we ended up going there for a couple of hours and the bill for some french fries and burgers and few drinks it was about $240 and they charge extra kitchen fee and the tip is been charged whether you like it or not The restaurant has extremely loud music, we were on the fifth floor and we can hear it the whole night, I had to call a few times for them to stop the music at the 11 PM The room was nice and spacious but will definitely not be staying at the nosy hotel anymore

Yelp
I truly wanted to thank Tatevik our Event Coordinator for making my sons 21st birthday on the Mila Rooftop so memorable. 5 stars all around! She made sure that he had everything needed to make his birthday amazing, and it was. He had a wonderful time with his friends and they were treated with such respect and were provided unbelievable service! I'm not going to talk about the food because we all know it's fantastic! I'm not going to talk about the ambiance, because it is just beautiful!! I do however want to make sure this would have not been the same if it wasn't for our event planner. Thank you Tatevik! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I really wanted to love this hotel as on the surface looked clean, modern and trendy, but overall left me disappointed. We stayed for two nights When we first arrived there were 4 staff at check in. No other guests around. I went up to one of them and the gal smiled and then started talking to the two staff behind her. Then the 4th staff saw me make a weird look and waved me over to help. That staff was very kind and helpful, Chris A. We asked for early check in and there wasn't one available which was fine. But then two other groups came behind us and they got early check in. Shook that off not to ruin our vacation Later went to the rooftop restaurant. Wasn't busy at all. Sat quickly but took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to order however we were not given menus so had to ask for menus. They went and got one and left us alone for another 15 minutes so we just left. Last gripe, stains on pillow... no explanations needed. All the above leads to two stars staff needs to be more welcoming and attentive Not a great place for families

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about the Glenmark. If I could give 10 stars I would. Where to start? The staff is top notch- courteous, knowledgable and super friendly. They gave me great advice and answered all my dumb questions about the neighborhood. Speaking of which, you can't get a more beautiful location- situated in a scenic part of Brand, you get both a lovely, peaceful calm while also being really close to all the shopping/ food options you can ask for. And walking distance from Trader Joe's is super convenient! I loved taking a stroll in the early morning down the street when the cool mist is still coming down from the mountains. Located at the top floor of the hotel is probably the swankiest rooftop bar I've seen- gorgeous view and a really happening spot with amazing food and cocktails and equally gorgeous people that made me wish I packed nicer clothes, lol. I was grateful I brought yoga pants because I spent a couple mornings in the fitness center, on one of the ellipticals looking out over the breathtaking scenery. There's also a really great restaurant on the first floor we got coffee and pastries from. Our spacious room was also super comfortable- quiet and clean with all of the modern amenities. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Yelp
First review as a guest staying in one of the suites of the brand new Glenmark Hotel. The exterior and interior aesthetics of the property are phenomenally designed. ALL of the hotel staff: front desk, house keeping, restaurant, and even the mechanical team are incredibly versed in customer service, and wonderfully trained - well deserving of Marriott Bonvoy's category 6 (out of 8) level. Now, on to the details of the hotel suite. This top floor guest suite (see pics) contain colors that play well together, design that is modern but bold, and of course - the crown jewel bath tub is nestled in the bathroom shower with a view below. I was fortunate to be the first occupant of this hotel room, however, after inspecting the room, that's where they lost an otherwise 5 star review - the details. It is understandable that hotels aren't 100% operational, and even that this is a brand new hotel (the allure of reserving a room), but attention to detail is what separates Marriott from its competitors, especially as a category 6. What do I mean? There was a ceiling tile in the bathroom that was hanging loose over one of the vanity sinks, the fridge ran silent (odd?) and when I checked back on my refrigerated goods 30 minutes later, they weren't even cold - because the fridge wasn't plugged in! The other small details (no water bottles, no coffee or tea packets, no robes in the closet, etc.) weren't as bad since I could request them (and it's due to Covid safety measures). Overall however, whether its during Covid or after this all blows over, I highly recommend coming to stay at the brand new Glenmark Hotel!!

Yelp
I was excited for this place to open specially for their rooftop bar . It is a beautiful hotel, beautiful lobby, beautiful decor . The location is great - I like to have something like this in the residential area of Glendale. It's close to my house so added bonus . I don't have to go to DTLA for a rooftop experience considering I don't like Eden on Brand because of their sh* attitude. Went here Friday night with a reservation for 2. Were sat immediately . Tables were clean and they use paper menu. They have small plates as appetizers . We ordered yellowtail tostadas (5 pieces) approx $20 . It was tasty and full of yellowtail. And burrata salad (no bread or crackers included ) it was also tasty. For drink , I ordered one Perroni on tap and one mezcalito (sour and watered down) . My friend ordered 2 old fashioned . He liked it . Here is why I take off 2 stars : 1) the service : the lady was cold , didn't care about us . Rushed us . Kept wanting to order more drinks while we were still drinking the first cup . We weren't even done with the 2 Nd drink when she said is that all , and I said FOR NOW yes, immidiately brings the check and puts it on the table . I mean, lady this is not a fast food place for you to be acting like that. We are here to chill and enjoy our time , not to be rushed . 2) so wherever you go, usually they bring a small piece of bread or crackers to be eaten with burrata. So we asked if they had bread , she looked at us as if we asked for an alien. Then she said no we don't . Then she said we have these pieces of crackers . We said ok . She said how many ? I mean, how do we know how big or small , so we didn't answer . She said I'll bring 3 . So she brings these tiny pieces of crackers , and boom $3 for that on the check . I couldn't believe it . I don't like when business are so cheap like that ... 3) the restrooms were downstairs and you had to take the stairs to go there. Not a big deal but you'd expect fancy place like there to at least have restroom for the bar at that level . Honestly, if the lady wasn't so lame, I would have given 5 stars . What a shame for a new place to spend that much money and then have lame service ... we paid $94 plus tip for the items explained above

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Have several texts confirming a reservation. Had an event here in December and went through the he same process. I called to confirm my reservation and they told me that they don't have it. Had to scramble to move 45 people to a new venue

Yelp
This is a review of my hotel stay, not the unruly rooftop bar. Had a two night stay here and it was my worst Marriott experience. First thing is first. The staff at the hotel are AWESOME. Andrea specifically. That's where the only stars go to. The hotel itself looks nice. It's akin to a W brand hotel and has all the things you'd expect from a Marriott. Why only 2 stars? 1. Even though we had a fancy expensive suite the walls and windows were paper thin. You hear everything going on above, below, and next to you as well as all the noise outside. Hardly relaxing. Basically a lot of shoddy building material that looks nice. Don't stay here if you actually plan on getting any rest, day or night. 2. Parking was a a scam. And I'm not just taking about parking fees. Marriott advertises this place has "complimentary offsite parking". That was a lie. That just means fend-for-yourself street parking that is never actually available. And because of the bar above the hotel, you won't be able to get a garage spot even if you wanted to pay for it. After 7 pm the garage is full from all the people going to party at the bar who aren't staying at the hotel. I spent 40 minutes looking for a street spot after coming back from dinner around 8pm on a Friday evening and was only able to park my car because the staff at the hotel was super nice and made a one-off arrangement for me to park my car for the night. Again, the staff at the Glenmark really showed us how great they are. 3. The rooftop bar is a nuisance! Aside from the bar patrons having dibs on the parking garage, everyone going up there seemed to be an anti-masker and made our stay extremely uncomfortable. No one wore masks. The hotel staff would ask them to, but they blow them off. On the second evening there my partner and I were physically accosted for wearing masks and choosing to not go in a elevator with 6 people without masks. I was shoved, told the pandemic is "fake", and told to "get a life" or take off my mask. It was super scary and shook us up more than a bit. Our second night there we ended up cancelling our dinner plans because we knew we wouldn't be able to come back and park and then have to deal with all the drunk and violent bar patrons. This isn't the hotel staff's fault, but it goes towards my warning to others to not stay here if any of that bothers you. I was told hotel staff cannot enforce the mask mandate (even though it is state, country, city, and Marriott policy) because of their concern of what the response from the maskless, drunk idiots would be. And I get that and I feel terrible for the staff. If you want to party all night, don't have a car, and don't care about pandemic protocols, then go ahead and stay here. Otherwise, a sleepier hotel is probably better for the rest of us.

Yelp
My kids and I loved enjoyed our stay for the most part. However, we paid extra for a room upgrade in which was supposed to come with a working microwave oven and failed to work during our stay. The gentleman at the front desk also mislead us by letting us know that Valet was complementary, when really he said later he meant that street parking is complementary...misleading information from a nice hotel..they need to work on fixing their hotel, as well as training their employees.

Yelp
The rooftop bar was great! Really nice views and ambiance. We didn't make a reservation but were given a nice high table in the bar area. We still had the views and the fresh air! It was a bit cold so a nice gentleman (I believe he's a manager) brought us a heater which was very nice. Service was great, drinks were very tasty and the sushi we got was really good too! It was my belated bday celebration (they saw a bday gift bag and talked to us) and they were super nice to bring us extra drinks and even a dessert on the house! What a wonderful service, and, of course, it made us feel amazing! No question we are coming back as we loved the place and had a wonderful experience there!

Yelp
I called this hotel for reservation and the process was simple. They were very helpful. I get there the next day and walk in to the lobby and I am deeply impressed at the amazing decor, my jaw dropped. I went to my room and settled in. Rooms are stylish and unique. I decided to go eat to my surprise this place has a roof top . Omg in the heart of Glendale. This place is just amazing boutique hotel. I guess it just opened. The first thing I noticed the beautiful flower arrangements, I had to ask who made them. They're from @PollenLA. They're a new local business that also has a flower cart you can book for events. www.PollenLA.com. Mila (rooftop restaurant), you just have to go and visit this place. Interesting dishes and delicious cocktails. Had an amazing time on the roof top. I can definitely see myself coming here a few times a week. Glendale needed a place like this.
