Used to be good food for the high price. Now just over priced with low quality food. Delivered the completely wrong order today. Customer service when I called was terrible. Offered to pick up my delivery from the other house it ended up expecting us to eat each other’s opened food.... I would avoid at all costs. Such a shame considering it used to be a good chain before they increased the price and reduced the service and food quality. Plenty of other up and coming places with significantly better reviews to chose from.

Tried for the first time. The aromatic duck with pancakes was nice - bearing in mind, you would hope so for the price. The smoked shredded chicken is terrible and the rice dishes are distinctly average. It almost seems like the food is pre-cooked and re-heated. The prices are definitely too high for the quality.

Avoid At All Costs! Had a home delivery from this place over the weekend which turned out to be a very regretful decision even before the food arrived. Five minutes after placing the order I decided I wanted to take a dish out and replace it only to be told the food had left with the driver and was on its way. It didn't make sense as I had ordered six dishes and clearly it couldn't have been cooked and left that quickly in the short space of time it took for me to call back. I suppose it was because the dish I intended to replace cost £10 and was forced by the lady to stick with it as it had left the place already-what a utter disgrace. When the food arrived I was presented with the six dull, flavourless, and tedious dishes which lacked spice, seasoning and taste. It was in-fact so far from tasting like authentic Chinese food that I had to prepare my own sauce with soy and chili to pour over the bland meat. The lemon chicken was more like fried English chicken with a tub of lemon sauce to pour over it, the beef steak in piquet sauce was sickly and sweet with an appalling hideous aftertaste to it. Every dish even the dumplings had no flavour and no taste. It was a shambles. A Complete joke of a place which should not be considered a Chinese restaurant. AVOID this overpriced place at all measures!!!

True story. I ordered today. 3 soups were not able to be consumed they were terrible. I called in and told Gabriella. She could not find my order. Asked me for a order number. I read it off the bag. Still could not find it. Finally found it. I explained that we were unhappy with the soups. Please resolve the situation. Her response. "Thank you for the feedback" our order was £35+ and we three soups were thrown away. Best to order from more reputable places that actually care about their quality of their food.

very bad value for money. Quality of food is not worth the money. Spring rolls soft not crisp and no dip is just one example of how they screw up the simplest item on the menu... Name on deliveroo as well misleading, as original in Kensington is a proper restaurant...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Very rude. Called to places delivery order as I have been doing for the last 3 years. I first asked could you deliver to the Royal Free Hospital as I was visiting a patient and they said no they don't. Despite delivering to me the night before. Then I asked can you deliver to my Flat which is literally down the street. They tell me no they don't deliver to flats. Where in the heck do they deliver to then. Very rude. I will be taking my business to another Chinese restaurant.

I love this Chinese - it's my local favourite. Main reason for this is the amazing vegetarian dishes - the way they make the veggie chicken is just unbeatable. And though it's expensive, this makes it massively worth it for me! I just cook my own rice at home.

Can’t understand all these shocking reviews. I’ve been ordering from GE for 10 years and have never had a bad meal. It’s pricey - yes - but you get what you pay for and this place is miles better than any other Chinese takeaway in the area hands down!
