"Stop by this Middle Eastern-inspired neighborhood spot for egg-and-cheese bagels, smoked fish hash, and famous babka in the morning. Then drop by in the evening for labneh and shawarma. The layout is canteen-style with long communal tables and benches, rows of provisions lining the shelves. If you have a special occasion to celebrate, they're very accommodating to large groups, offering both set menus and an impressive cocktail list. "

5 Spots That You Can Book Now For That Outdoor Brunch You’ve Been Craving - London - The Infatuation

"The Good Egg is an all-day cafe that you can quite easily spend all day in. The food is Middle Eastern inspired, and is best when sharing. Really you want to come here when you’re not in any great rush. When a griddle pan of feta hash topped with a crispy Aleppo pepper fried egg can be followed by some babka French toast, and you can peruse the cocktail menu in the name of ‘research’. There’s a decent outdoor/indoor space in Kingly Court for you to get comfortable in." - Jake Oliver

18 London Restaurants & Bars Delivering Supplies For A Picnic In The Park - London - The Infatuation

"What to get:The boozy DIY bagel kit and friends. The Good Egg are delivering babka, bagels, brownies, and some other lovely things that don’t begin with B. We’re very into their pecan pie babka, but it’s their salt beef boozy bagel box that has ‘park hang’ written all over it. It comes with cava, 200g of salt beef, Montreal sesame bagels, and all the extras you need, but there’s also a boozy salmon option and a brownie selection box to get involved in too." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

9 Of The Best Babkas In London - London - The Infatuation

"Available for takeaway & delivery If The Good Egg were to rename itself The Good Babka (& Bagels), we would not bat an eyelid. The Stokey and Soho brunch spot is best known for just that, but it’s their bread that’s the real deal. Their chocolate babka is a majestic (if somewhat pricey) loaf of pure enjoyment. It’s got a bread-ier texture than other babkas which makes it much better toasted. And, as recommended, with a thin slice of salted butter. You won’t regret it." - Jake Oliver

I would give this place 4.5 stars as I think the food is a little expensive for the size of portion, but this place deserves a higher average than it's current 3.7. Food is beautifully presented and just as tasty. I am proud of the homemade hummus I normally but theirs is definitely better. I can also highly recommend the whipped feta and the ox cheek. The service was polite and friendly. It also has a cool ambiance.

Visited here on a Tuesday morning. We sat in the outdoors area as it was a lovely day. The waiter was so kind and was frequently checking in with us. The food came in good time and was delicious. It’s very reasonably priced and in a great location. It’s hidden from the hustle and bustle of London streets but is still lively.

It was a very quiet afternoon and there was only one other table occupied. I had a view of the courtyard by the open windows which was pleasant as it was a pretty sticky day. I had the peach ice tea - it was a bit too sweet but still tasty. I also had the Date Chicken and Slaw. The chicken was great and a good portion size. If a friend cooked it at their house I'd think it was incredible. But not really mega for a restaurant. The slaw was really mediocre - just shredded vegetables but no dressing. I regretted ordering that. Wasn't bad but probably wouldn't go again.

TLDR: You need to order sides with you main, or several dishes to share. Cocktails and deserts are delicious. I left still hungry so regretted not ordering more. Although what I had was okay, I'd think twice about returning. Happy hour (drinks for £7 instead of their usual £10/12) was just ending as we arrived so we took advantage of this and ordered a few, every alcoholic drink I ordered was very good. The food was okay, everyone I was with enjoyed it, however to be completely honest we all agreed the portion size was disappointing. Now, yes of course I could have ordered some more sides to combat this and I certainly wish I had- but for a "main dish" that's costing around £13-16, I did expect a bit more. I had the kofta and it was nice but the meat and dip could have been better seasonsed, though the coucous and few bits of cauliflower I received were delicious. The service was also about 80%, one person we had was super lovely and helpful and the other who my friend spoke to when she queried about no pitta arriving with what she ordered, was less so. I do understand that they can be busy and stressed and probably get complaints a lot though and I wouldn't say it ruined our evening. I picked the babka french toast for desert and it was really good and a good portion. My friends that picked the brownie however got a thin choc ice looking parcel on a plate- again a little small but can confirm it was delicious too. Overall I didn't have a terrible time, the place wasn't too crowded the actual restois very aesthetically designed, but the fact I was still hungry when I left was a bit disappointing to me. I guess I should've ordered some starters too.

Non smokers will love this courtyard as you are not allowed to smoke or vape anywhere whit-in this venue. ( I do vape ) So happy to have found this spot. I can’t fault them. Everything was on the spot. I’ve read some reviews with 1 star and honestly I wasn’t sure if they were talking about the same venue. Realised that most of those reviews were 2+ months ago. Maybe we got lucky but I think they just got better staff by now. In our case it was superb and plentiful - tasty and prompt.

I went for brunch on Monday and I was mostly impressed. We had the ZFC which is like KFC but a lot less oily and quite fragrant. For a side we ordered fries which were fine. I also ordered a hot chocolate which was small but tasty and a Coke. Why didn’t I give 5 stars? Well I think the website makes the interior look glamorous but it’s quite small really. Also having to order fries with my chicken is fine but I thought it was taking liberties and my hot chocolate was very small and you have to queue by the entrance to order food; there’s no table service. The food was good though.

Excellent food, had the zaatr chicken and the green whipped feta. Highly recommended! Lovely location in the outside courtyard of kingly court. I highly recommend the terrace of this restaurant as it's much more fun to sit outside and people watch. I will definitely go there again and again. Highly recommended experience in central London, Soho.

Wonderful restaurant with beautiful ingredients and extremely tasty dishes. The Chicken was really crispy & juicy and the tastes overall were so delicious. I loved the Challah roll and I must admit even the French fries were really good. I will definitely return here with family as it's the Perfect spot to enjoy lots of food together.
