I was excited to finally try The Good Burger open up nearby since they’re known as a plant-based/vegetarian chain. Unfortunately, my first visit left me a bit underwhelmed.
The mozzarella sticks were a letdown — not stretchy at all, which was disappointing given the price. On the other hand, the golden nuggets were delicious.
As for the burger itself, the patty was clearly made with Impossible meat, which isn’t necessarily bad, but the overall build of the burger felt too plain. It was basically just the patty and bread without the kind of toppings or flavor you’d expect in a classic burger.
The fries were also soggy, which didn’t help the experience.
Overall, I really appreciate that The Good Burger is offering a plant-based option in the area, but I think there’s room for improvement in both quality and portion sizes.
