Midtown’s deli‑bar with a cult‑favorite double smash called the Oklahoma Smashie. Lauded by local critics for crisp edges, melty cheese, and proper sauce.

I tried the fried green tomato and my boyfriend tried the whirligig! Both were so so good! The sandwiches here are HUGE— like diabolically ginormous! The fried green tomato was so freaking amazing, but I’d be careful if you’re impatient like me because you will scald your mouth with the hot tomato if you take a bite prematurely, haha! The whirligig was also super tasty! The chicken was fried super super well— nice and crunchy! Also got their loaded fries and those are always great too! If you’re only small to medium hungry, I’d stick with just sandwiches because (again) they’re huge, but if you have a crowd or are big hungry then I’d definitely get the fries too! The staff are always super fun and friendly! We usually sit at the tables, but conversations are lively and fun at the bar!

If you haven't checked out The Goose, you'll regret it! Super quick friendly service and fantastic food! Run & get the June special Meatloaf Sandie! Thick slice of Meatloaf with tangy sauce & fried onion strings on a toasted soft bun! Reviews rave about the Whirligig Chicken Sandie & it did not disappoint! Super crispy chicken with finely shredded lettuce & pickle with hot honey on a toasted soft bun! Pro-tip,add an egg! Crispy curly fries & a nicely seasoned really fresh pasta salad completed the meal! Definitely be back!

Google
Best meat ball and provolone sub sandwich in town . The place has a great menu and atmosphere and some delicious sandwiches from the corn beef to the fried chicken provolone . All delicious. Salads are great and the restaurant has a nice bar area and service is great.

I tried The Goose sandwich and the cucumber salad. Both are delicious. Comfortable seating, not those hard metal tiny chairs. Relaxing atmosphere, great music playing, too! Awesome mural on the wall in the back. Check it out! *note, the only downside was that the diet coke was $4.00 (plastic 20 oz bottle). They have alcoholic beverages, too, if you'd like. Parking is hard to find, but I got lucky and was able to park right across the street.

I like the atmosphere, food was good. Nice having a beer with it, they have a few on tap. They’re conjoined with Blocworks Midtown so you can have a beer and do wall climbing. 2 separate establishments but almost joined into 1.

We were immediately greeted and had our order taken! We got the goose sandwich and pickle chips which came with ranch and goose sauce! The food and service were phenomenal and the shop was very clean. I highly recommend to all my friends and family. A++

Google
The vibes are unlike any other sandwich shop in OKC. Very laid back and at your own pace. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We stumbled upon this place on a whim and can’t wait to go back and try other menu options. Don’t sleep on this place, give it a try! We ordered the chicken Sammy and the Italian cold cut Sammy. One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. We also tried some cocktails, the gin drink on the menu and a mojito. Very refreshing!

I came here with my spouse for lunch. I ordered The Goose sandwich and a side of curly fries. Spouse got the Whirligig and a side of fried pickles. My sandwich was great, but it had a tad too much mayonnaise for my personal preference. I think I might have preferred a bit of Dijon mustard if the option was available. The bread was nice and soft, and I think I continue to have a love/hate relationship with arugula, lol. The curly fries were good but pretty standard, like what you could get at Arby’s. Spouse wasn’t a huge fan of the fried chicken sandwich. I did try a bite of it, and it was rather average. While the chicken was juicy, the hot honey wasn’t really noticeable. I think perhaps this sandwich may need stronger seasoning in the batter of the chicken or maybe even when the chicken comes out of the fryer. The fried pickles were good, but the sauce that came with it (not sure if it had a name because there’s no mention of a sauce for the fried pickles on the menu) wasn’t to my liking. It was very mayonnaise forward and didn’t taste of anything else. While I would return to try other items on the menu, it’s not necessarily a priority.

Yelp
Hands down the best sandwich I've had in OKC -- fittingly called The Goose. My boyfriend went with the smash burger and loved it, and we split the loaded curly fries (more like inhaled them). We sat up on the rooftop, which was super spacious and clean, and our food came out fast. Everything about this spot just worked -- great food, great vibe, quick service. Will 100% be back.

Yelp
Stopped by here to try their smash burger! I ordered the For Shame - double patty smash burger. It came with soft, sweet bun, cheese, grilled onions, pickles and a pile of smashing goodness! This was a nice juicy burger with melty cheese. It had a nice balance of ingredients and flavor. It was very filling, it felt a tad greasy and heavy toward the end. Pricing is a bit steep without any sides. I'd def come back on Tuesdays for their OKC smash deal. Service was awesome, place was clean and love the rooftop seating.

Yelp
I came here for lunch on a Sunday and tried the Dutch lunch special which was half a sandwich, chips and a pickle. My husband got a whole sandwich with fries. Our sandwiches were really good! I also loved the curly fries. They also have glass bottle sodas which is super fun. The inside is small, if you got at a busy time you might have to grab a seat at the bar like we did. Service was great. Such a fun spot for sandwiches, can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
Had a fun lunch here with my daughter and one of her friends. It is clean and relatively quiet. The food was good. No complaints. We wound up sitting at the bar and had a good time chatting with the bartender. Very friendly and personable. He let me try a shot of Malort(?) which is apparently an odd liqueur from up north somewhere. Definitely an acquired taste. I had never heard of it before and he let me try a little bit. Much appreciated, for the taste and the good conversation.

Yelp
I visited The Goose with some friends recently. I tried the Whirligig, and I really enjoyed it. The curly fries were good too. The restaurant is quirky, and the menu is a bit limited, but it was worth the visit.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
We came here expecting run of the mill sandwiches and got more than we thought we would. The lady Mae was perfectly balanced, (it was a limited special). And the Italian was pretty good. The winner here was the bread. The bread was INCREDIBLE. For the price, they really should be putting more meat on the sandwiches. It felt a little high for the amount of protein we got.

Yelp
Our office decided to try this place out when they first opened since it's only a couple of blocks away.. Unfortunately because we decided to stop in during opening week, we weren't able to eat inside and decided to order and take it back. It was surprisingly great and I can't wait to go back to try another tasty sandwich!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so good I don't know how I'm just now finding out about it?! I got the Turkey Bacon sandwich which was a 10/10 and so was the Oklahoma Smashie Burger The curly fries were also really good. The outdoor rooftop seating is really nice & the overall vibe of the place is great. Will be one of my new go-to's
google avatar

Casey V.

Yelp
Well the sandwich does not look like what is advertised. Barely any turkey. Taste is good but for $13.25. Yikes. It was more of a $7 sandwich considering there was not much turkey. Also, I didn't taste any onion either. Idk.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for midtown walkabout and although it was busy we were easily able to find a table and our food was out to us shortly. There sandwiches are to die for and next time I want to try something new! I bet the weekends and summer time are awesome here for the vibes!

Julia B.

Yelp
My go to is the turkey bacon cold sandwich with an Aperol spritz to sip on. Although anything I've had there is incredible. The salads are also big portions and will keep you full! Landres is a great bartender that makes every drink to perfection! This is a hidden gem worth checking out!
google avatar

Anne Marie J.

Yelp
We ordered the special (meatloaf sandwich) $14, turkey bacon $13, and two bottled sodas $4/each. I didn't really think about it until the food came...that was pretty pricey for what we got! My fault I didn't read the menu that a side of chips was extra. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. There is a parking lot a block away that is no charge before 3. The space was small but had plenty of seating. There was a specialty drink menu that look pretty awesome.

Yelp
Great neighborhood sandwich shop and bar. Service was friendly. The Goose was amazing, made with good bread and flavorful and fresh ingredients. And I like that the sandwich didn't get soggy. I love that they included mortadella in the sandwich, it's one of my favorite deli meats. The Whirligig was an amazing chicken sandwich: lightly breaded, with good crunch, tender meat, and not much grease. But what came through was the Duke's mayo. It took the sandwich to the next level. The spicy honey could've had a little bit more kick. Since it was lunchtime we didn't get to try their beers or drafted cocktails, but we will be back for that. From cold to hot sandwiches and some salad options, I think there is something for everyone. My minor complaint is the chips are very stale. And it would've been nice if they provided a tray or something for the food.

Yelp
Tried The Goose this past Saturday for lunch. Love the venue! Cool vibe. It,s clean, fresh, and well appointed, and the mural is outstanding! Jan and I both love muffueltta's, and when we saw Muffuletta's on the menu, we were excited. We each ordered one with the house made chips. The house made chips were very good. The muffuelatta's were good, but not Central Market and Deli good in NOLA. It was a nice lunch. I'm looking forward to going back for a different sandwich.

Yelp
The Goose is loose... ...in OKC. This sandwich shop and bar is the perfect combination of a classic Italian deli mixed with a cool, retro flare. I ordered the OG cold sandie 'The Goose' and a side of cucumber salad and it did NOT disappoint. The taste was exactly what I wanted - a medley of meats, creamy mayo, and fresh lettuce/pickles. When it's not 1000 degrees, I recommend enjoying your meal on the rooftop for a good time.
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
Okay- first off. Go try The Goose. Secondly- Chopped Cheese is gonna be your go to; get the Wells Pale Lager with it. Third: Get Malorted. You will never regret it. Great people, great vibes, and great service. One of my favorite spots in OKC.

Yelp
I went during the midtown 10 buck lunch week and it was great! I had heard the burger was fantastic so I had to try it- and it's definitely a 10! Full of flavor, great sauce, nice crunchy pickle, lots of cheese, grilled onions- everything you'd want in a great burger. Cool vibe, definitely could be a nice happy hour spot for a drink (they have a patio upstairs) and then have some dinner. I loooove homemade potato chips and these were perfectly thick and crispy- exactly how I like them! Go check them out!
google avatar

Marla G.

Yelp
My experience here was short but it still was a great time. The setting is very comfortable there's plenty of space and I enjoyed the rooftop area very much. The servers and bar were very attentive and my food/drinks were brought out very quickly. I definitely recommend the goose sandwich very simple and hit the spot.
google avatar

Tim T.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches- got the Goose which is definitely a delicious Italian style sandwich. Service was excellent and prompt and they brought everything out to the table. Very spacious and cool ambience indoors and they have a nice deck on top where you can maybe hold events/mixers. Highly recommended - it also serves beer and becomes a bar at night!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not a huge sandwich person to begin with, but I actually quite enjoyed the Goose. The ricotta spread and I love the space! I came in with some friends on a Saturday afternoon and a lot of the tables were quite full so easy to say that OKC seems to be enjoying this place. I also loved their upstairs patio, it was a little breezy and they had a fire pit that was lovely. I'd like to come back and try other sandwiches and some of their cocktails.

Kenner W.

Yelp
Was excited to try this place, but left disappointed. Paid $45 for 2 sandwiches, 2 chips, and 2 Cokes -- the food was fine, but the service was frustrating. My order came out wrong (not a huge deal; I can be a picky eater), but when I politely explained how I had ordered it, I was repeatedly questioned and even quizzed on whether I knew what Asiago cheese was before they'd agree to remake it. It felt like I was being gaslit into believing I ordered something I didn't. Mistakes happen, but the way it was handled turned what should have been a quick fix into an unpleasant experience.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and the sandwiches are so delicious and unique! I really like their bread. It's unlike anywhere else I've had around here. I love the rooftop patio too. What a cool transformation this space has made since it was previously a brewery. The food comes our fairly quickly and they bring it to you, so that's nice versus having to listen for your name since the seating is on the two different floors. Excited to try more of the menu!
google avatar

Cam S.

Yelp
Cool joint. Nice and helpful staff. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Got the smashie burger and it was one of the best burgers I've had in the city. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! The upstairs patio is nice and ample seating with a nice view of midtown. Drinks are a bit on the odd side and lean heavy on the mellow corn liquor. Service can be a bit slow with having to stand in line to order at the one register and you have to go back downstairs to get drinks.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
Had a great time today at the Goose. Was excited to try this new sandwich shop after the brewery closed a year or so ago. Counter ordering & plenty of seating inside. They have a dog friendly rooftop patio with a large screen TV. The staff was very helpful explaining the menu & offering recommendations. I thought I was going to order a cold sandwich but the bartender sold me on the Oklahoma Smashie. Wow, I haven't had a smash burger that good in YEARS. I recommend the Wells Pale Ale, mid body & easy drinking. They also offer delicious house made chips. Will be back again!
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Wow. Just incredible. The chopped cheese will change your life. The Italian was a flavor explosion pow bang pop!

Bill H.

Yelp
One of the best burgers I've ever had. Asked the cashier to have the chef make me an incredible burger... They outperformed. Simply delish.
google avatar

Yelp
The welcome we got when we walked in was great. Insight on drinks was helpful. We had dirty squirts. Squirt soda with tequila shot. Mmmm.... The atmosphere was welcoming and clean, and the music didn't detour a conversation. The best for last, the food was AMAZING! Check them out, you won't regret it.

tanner d.

Yelp
Amazing food every time i've been. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good music, cool spot.

Yelp
My wife and I went on a double date with one of my old college friends and his partner; the food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Also, the counter employee was very knowledgeable with the menu, helping break down the menu after we told him it was our first time in.
google avatar

Layne C.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place since seeing the cute sign pop up a little bit ago and it did not disappoint. The sandwiches are a generous size and definitely worth the price. You can tell the ingredients are good quality and everything was seriously delicious. The guys behind the bar were super nice and welcoming and it was just generally a pleasant experience. Will definitely be back to try more!
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
My friend and I happened to stumble upon this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is inviting and alive. This is a great place for not only lunch but a place to chill and have happy hour as well. The servers were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic! We had The Hudson and Whirligig. I would stick with those sandwiches going forward however there were many more on the menu that looked just as scrumptious.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Old school diner feel with a twist! Great sandwiches and a perfect place to drop in for a lunch with your mates

Yelp
If you're looking for a sandwich that takes the simple and turns it into something extraordinary, look no further. The Goose serves up sandwiches that you won't expect to blow your mind, but after the first bite, you'll be reeling. The first thing you'll notice is how absolutely soft and inviting the bread is. You can tell it's beyond fresh and the perfect vessel for what's within. I had a chance to try the Midtown and the Hudson. They both brought the flavor and the satisfaction I wanted from a sandwich. The house-made chips were also perfection. I dig what they did with the old Elk Valley space. It's a chill vibe that lays the groundwork for a wonderful sandie experience. And if you're in the mood for adult beverages, they have a good selection of cocktails and draft beers. And don't forget to check out the covered patio upstairs!

L8bro ..

Yelp
Warning you had better mind your p's and q's when legally parking in front in order to eat here. Restaurant manager came outside and said our legal parking spots were "no parking zones". After explaining that they were in fact legal parking spots, he said he could refuse us service for legally parking there. We would have gladly moved had he simply asked us politely to move instead of falsely claiming we were in a no parking zone and that we "had to move". Weird. We decided to go somewhere else so I can't attest to the food but giving a one star for poor service.
google avatar

talia s.

Yelp
Food was good but nothing to write home about. The prices were a bit high for the food to be served on paper boats i feel like. Ambiance was great, the restaurant was clean. All staff was extremely friendly. Their rooftop patio is really nice.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
The interior is lovely. The staff are nice. And there's nothing wrong with the food. I like that their turkey is real turkey and not deli. And their bread is awesome. Parking is a nightmare but worth it. I always go for the turkey bacon ranch, but I think any deli should always include the pickle instead of charging for it.
google avatar

Colton E.

Yelp
Neat atmosphere and a good concept but the Whirlgig was not good. There was no spice or flavor to the sandwich, the amount of slaw was disappointing and the "spicy honey" wasn't spicy at all. And $18 for a sandwich and side of pasta salad just doesn't seem like any sort of value. Service was good and staff was friendly. (Beer was not mine)

Pamela H.

Yelp
We finally found a chance to try this place, and I'm glad we did. We had The Hudson and a Muffuletta with curly fries. It was all pretty good. The service was great even though they were very busy. The restaurant itself is pretty small, so be prepared to dine close to other tables, but probably pretty typical for a deli-style atmosphere. We will definitely try it again.
google avatar

Alexi H.

Yelp
What's better, the food or the atmosphere? At The Goose, it's hard to choose. We had the after 8pm menu "the greasy goose" with Okie smash burgers and house chips. The burger is a top competitor with nearby locations such as bar abolada and the chips were crispy and delicious. While chilling at the bar, we met a fantastic bar tender, Alexi, who made our visit very pleasant! We tried a couple of cocktails outside our comfort zone such as the godfather and the talk to me. My partner enjoyed his cocktail and I got a mule to finish off the night. We will definitely be back at the goose! Thanks Alexi, Jamie, and Solomon for making our night great!
google avatar

Yelp
cool place, calm vibe and friendly staff. really good food. would definitely come back.

Yelp
The Goose is my new favorite go to!! The fried eggplant sandwich and the Whirligig chicken sandwich are my absolute favorites. The patio/rooftop is the best vibe and I can't wait for the cooler weather to try out their fire pits! Everyone who works at the Goose is so kind and personable, I get stuck conversing with them for way too long! 10/10 recommend :)

Markie W.

Yelp
Great food amazing service and atmosphere is on point!! The red who took my order hooked me up with a free drink which is always welcome! Definitely will be back very soon.
google avatar

Natalia V.

Yelp
We've been there twice and each time it's been such a good time. First experience was for a late night snack. The environment was great and the staff is very friendly. The burger and chicken sandwich were great. We enjoyed it so much we choose them to have a pre wedding gathering! All of our guest enjoyed it and had only great things to say about the food and drinks. Madison and his staff are amazing!

Armando M.

Yelp
Exactly what OKC needed. Relaxing, unpretentious, and delicious. Been here dozens of times and don't plan to stop. 10/10
google avatar

Leisha M.

Yelp
Love the whirligig! Must try this one! Had a special dessert of a fried pie! Great service! Go check it out!

Kaysie Jo R.

Yelp
I wasn't a fan of what I ordered, but I am going to go back and try something else. Want to sit upstairs next time.

Sean M.

Yelp
Popped into the goose for a quick lunch and Ben greeted me at the register and guided be through the menu, Landres helped me out with my drinks. The food was excellent. Great service.

Alley W.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this cute new sandwich spot. They did really great with the ambience & branding. However, I was recommended to get the goose and was unfortunately disappointed. Overall I just didn't feel it had much flavor at all, even got an extra side of goose sauce to try to make it have more flavor. We also got Biltmore Tequila Sunrise to drink. The drinks tasted like straight tequila, could barely finish it for $9. I would go back & give another try after reading some of the other good reviews. Just wouldn't get anything I ordered previously. Best part of my meal was the pickle.
