Pretty great all around meal and experience. Prices are accessible and not crazy Denver prices. The Pub Steak was the right amount of food and didn't require appetizers. Our server/bar tender was awesome 👌🏻. The historic building created a wonderful atmosphere. Recommend

Grand View Tavern: Great Vibe and Drinks, Skip the Dinner ​The Grand View Tavern nails the atmosphere. It features a wonderful, old-school downtown bar vibe with lots of warm wood—a truly comfortable and handsome space for a casual evening. ​The service from the wait staff was great; our drinks were brought out promptly, and they were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. However, the kitchen's timing was notably off, as one person in our party had completely finished their meal before our orders were even brought to the table. ​Unfortunately, the food quality didn't match the environment or the service. The pretzel itself was just okay, but the "cheese" dip tasted exactly like cheap ballpark nacho cheese. Our other dish, the fish and chips, was mediocre at best. ​The Verdict: Go here for the drinks and the atmosphere, as those are top-notch. If you're looking for quality food, I would advise you to pass on the kitchen.

We can’t wait to come back! We met chef, Mitch, who went above and beyond. Sophie, our server, was outstanding. The food is so good (meat pie, chicken skewers and salad - love!) and there are many things we want to try. Love the location, team and food!!

This pub is a great place to watch games and enjoy some delicious food. Just be prepared for crowds that can sometimes back up the kitchen. However, the chicken sandwich was absolutely fantastic!

Nice tavern and grill on Grandview in Old Town Arvada. The service is exceptional and very friendly. The atmosphere has a cool old school feel, beers are reasonably price, burgers are a little pricey unless you come on Monday, where you can enjoy 1/2 priced burgers.

I'm sad to leave this review. We've been here about three times and each time it has been mediocre. Sports bar atmosphere and I'm sure most people come in because it's in Olde Town but I don't think we'll be back. In the last 6 or 7 months we've been in this area, we've watched the prices rise to $20 per entree here. A 'tin cup' of fries has increased to $10. Other appetizers are even more expensive. I ordered a well-done roasted poblano burger with mango salsa and it came out medium rare and their brioche buns are regularly dry as can be. Usually makes the burgers seem bland. Service seemed great until after we ordered. Someone else brought our food out and our waiter never came back to check on us until after we were mostly done eating. Too late for me to tell him about the burger. We've definitely tried to give this place a chance but have decided we will not return since a basic meal that is bland cost nearly $50 with lackluster service. Also don't care for just including plastic straws with all drinks even when not requested, especially since people handle them with bare hands.

The fish and chips are laughable. I thought they were bringing out a kid's fish and chips to the wrong table. This was supposed to be cod fish and chips for around $20. This was two small pieces of fish about 1/4" thick along with skinny fries. There were about 10-12 fries. The fries were good though. The fish was not. The coleslaw was not coleslaw, it was chopped up lettuce...no dressing...not good. Skip the fish-n-chips. The restaurant should take it off the menu...it is that bad. The cheese curds are loaded with garlic, and it does not state that on the menu. I mean loaded with garlic. I am from Wisconsin, been eatin' curds for years, never had them with garlic. Looked good, but I can't eat garlic, so those went back. That was unexpected. They were out of most of the beers we ordered and had to keep coming back and asking us for another selection. This is beer country; it shouldn't be hard to keep kegs of beer stocked. The beer cheese with the pretzel was good. The pretzel was fried I think, it came out steaming hot and too hot to handle. But it was good. The beer cheese dip was exceptional. The Aussie pies they sell from a place in Fort Collins are good. We had chicken curry, and it was decent, a lot of crust. The service was good. The atmosphere was not bad, a little loud, but that is to be expected in a tavern. The other food seemed to be better, to be fair. Maybe stick to the burgers.

Wife and I stopped here after strolling around Old Town Arvada. What a cute and pleasant place! Very old fashioned looking bar and booths. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. I had bbq wings and my wife had a club sandwich. The sandwich looked really good and was on a ciabatta roll. It was all for a really reasonable price. Definitely worth going to if you're in the area.

Cool little spot in downtown Arvada. We stopped in with a group of 5 looking for some dinner after an event. So the food we ordered was great. We all opted for the Australian pies and every single one was great- they come from a place in Fort Collins. l called the Waltzing Kangaroo. The pickle fries were delicious. I dropped the star rating for service and the prices. My friend spent $10 for a little cup of fries! It just seemed like everything was a little pricey for a bar. The service was excruciatingly slow. We had to flag down our waiter to order, and then to get the drinks we ordered when they never came, then our food came out at all different times, and lastly had to flag down someone for a check. It seemed like they were super understaffed because everyone was rushing around.

Popped in for a quick bite with the family. It's clean, it's got history and character, the hot wings were very good, the draft beer was cold. The service was attentive. It was the perfect little pub experience.

Bar/ restaurant in old town Arvada. It was quiet when we were there so no problem getting a table. The staff was friendly & attentive. Food was very good. Would recommend.

Dive bar: I thought could have decent food but it was disgusting. First we waited an hour before our food came out with a raw meat burger and so bad we had to send the food back and decided to go elsewhere for fears of sanitary and health code practices. This place is a food borne pathogens illness outbreak waiting to happen. Then they had the nerve to charge us $40 for a couple of sub par appetizers. Totally unacceptable I'm reporting them to the health department!

It kinda doesn't matter how good the food is if the service isn't good. Our waitress was very nice. I don't think the incredibly slow service we experienced was her fault. So we tipped her well. We assume that they just didn't have enough staff on duty for a Friday night. Even with giving them only a 3 star review, we'll probably go back and give them another try - because the food was okay once we finally got it. I'll update my review afterwards.

Ate dinner here tonight and both my husband and I got food poisoning from the Aussie meat pies. I used to love eating here. But food poisoning...never again.

Been coming here pretty regular and this place is amazing!! The bartenders are very kind and have all around great vibes!! Also the food here is awesome got the bone in wings and waffle fries, the bone in wing are a decent size and very meaty with a spicy buffalo smoky paprika taste, to die for! Highly recommend this place!

First, a basket of French fries cost $11.50. The menu price was $12.45. Maybe I got a discount cuz I asked the waiter if that was a typo. Just plain old French fries, maybe 2 cups in size. It's a bar not a fancy restaurant! Second, my Australian meat pie was undercooked. The bottom crust was stretchy, raw dough. There are lots of other bars and restaurants around so just keep walking past this one.

We were walking in old town, Arvada and decided we wanted a burger and seen this place. We stopped in, Services. Great burger was great. Nothing more you could ask for.

Everything was great! Place was super clean. Not crazy busy when we came for lunch. Server was prompt and attentive and the food was delish!!! I got the Santa Fe burger and husband the Smokehouse burger. Lots of flavor.

This place is great! 3.0 rating is ridiculous! Haven't been in a while and it was outstanding again. Wings last time, top 5 in CO for sure and the Buffalo wrap this time was probably the best ever. Salad was even great even though I don't like nuts or other stuff in my salad. Fresh made dressing, Amazing service, will be back soon this time!

Three of us visited from out of state this past Saturday afternoon. None of the outdoor tables were clean when we first walked in. The condiment bottles were sticky and dirty. These two things alone should have told us to leave. We stuck it out. The onion rings came out with a lot of crunchy batter crumbs, so the cooking oil was not fresh; there weren't many people there so why it wasn't fresh makes no sense. We ordered a wrap and the fried chicken was way too crispy. Probably because of the not-fresh cooking oil. The tavern chips were so salty we couldn't have more than a couple. Two hours later, all of us felt stomach aches in some way. Who knows what's going on in that kitchen if the dirty tables and bottles were any indicator. Our server was a nice guy and did his best, so this review is not a reflection of the service. Until this place cleans up in all aspects, don't eat here. Kinda unfortunate given it's in Olde Town Arvada. We came to find later that the restaurant has a history with multiple health code violations. I don't write many reviews at all, but had to because getting sick from food is unacceptable. Someone needs to call

Often we pass by when roaming Old Town Arvada. We enjoyed our first lunch here with friends New Years Eve. In fairness, I am not much for sports bar food when I dine out. So when we planned our lunch in advance I struggled to find something other than burgers. But then remembered my maxim, "get what they are known for" and for the Grandview Tavern, you HAVE to try the burgers. Without exaggeration, the Blue Burger was one of the best I've ever had. Cooked medium rare with plenty of the blue cheese and blue cheese aioli. I indulgenced with bacon, no problem. The brioche roll made it. My friends suggested the waffle fries, "crispy deliciousness". Made complete with a pairing of Guinness Draft, twice. : ) We are already considering this a regular capstone to the work week.

Stopped in for lunch and did not enjoy our experience. It took a long time from sitting down to placing our order - probably about 30 minutes, and it was not busy. Maybe 5 parties total including us. And took a long time to get our food too, which doesn't make sense for a raw burger and fish sticks, but alas. The fish and chips were truly the worst I've ever had. 2 pieces of what were clearly frozen, pre-breaded mush. Tasted like fish sticks. Literally only got about 10 fries with my order. The slaw was bland and tasted like it was made days ago. The capers had a weird taste. Insane that it was almost $19. My boyfriend got the classic burger mid rare. It came out raw (not bloody in a good way. truly raw, ground beef) in the middle. Also got a very sad portion of fries. We'd waited long enough and were hungry enough that we didn't send anything back or complain, but were really unhappy with our visit.

Ice cold beer and ice cold service. It's 98 degrees, and the air conditioner is off or doesn't work. It's usually a cool place to go to, but the vibe was missing much. The bartender was rude, but maybe she was hot.

Pub steak was way late, apparently forgotten about. Wood knife handle was wet and soggy and had to be wipped off. Veggies onion/peppers atop the steak had a patina to it, I believe edible but I was not going to eat it. The baked potato had a crust atop, but bacon bits protected most of it. Steak was NOT medium rare but well done like a fast food burger. Never was even asked if I wanted a second beer , but did get an apology from server for long delay and resulting crappy food that was mostly edible . I had to get up from table and present myself to the bartender to get a check n pay. Sad fail, I live a few miles away and I will not be back, downtown Arvada deserves better than this !!

Couldn't decide where to eat. Found ourselves at Grandview Tavern. Chastity greeted us from behind the bar, got us menus and served us ice cold beer and a Moscow Mule right away. We had steak nachos, onion rings and a bleu cheese burger. Everything was so delicious! The service was great. The atmosphere is really nice too. So very happy we stopped in. We will be back!!!

A wonderful small town neighborhood feel to hang out in after Pokémoning, shopping, and site seeing. A great variety of local craft beers and the service you receive is excellent.

Stopped here to get food with my father who was visiting and my girlfriend. We were seated quickly. Our hostess came out quick and got us waters. We ordered some apps. A couple came in after us. They got food served to them before us and everything else. It wasn't that big of a deal and we ate. I ordered the Thai skewers and steak skewers. The steak skewers weren't bad tasting but, something was just off about them, I could put my finger on it. The chicken skewers were extremely dry and not very good at all. My father and girlfriend enjoyed there meals but, for myself, it was forgettable and I'd be hard pressed to give this place another try. Cool interior though!

Baked potato was overcooked to the point of being inedible. Caesar salad was made with iceberg lettuce, not romaine. Service was interminably slow and entirely inattentive. Not good at all. I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews but this place was rough.

My mom sister and I went to eat here and our drinks were watered down and the food wasn't worth it go the Mac and cheese cold and got my order wrong twice don't waste your time or money bar looks cool tho also no napkins or drink menu

The service was great, there was only one bartender/server that was taking care of the whole place. She did great. The ambiance is about what you'd expect in a place like this. The food was very mediocre, in my opinion. The soft pretzels were very chewy, tasted like they were from the freezer and popped into the microwave. The cheese with the pretzels was good though! The taco salad meat had fennel in it, which I am not a fan of and ended up not eating. The fries were good.

Wow! That is all I can say about this place. Yeah came in after 7 months at sea with my Captain Omarvelous. We were pretty tired but this place raised our spirits with amazing spirits. I had amazing conversation. I had amazing food. I made lifelong friends. I have to head back to Antarctica Tuesday but I will be here until then. I may never return but this place will be in my heart for every moment that it is still beating.

I always laugh at owners who post defensive responses on Yelp. It's usually because they know their business sucks. This place is no different. Came in with 2 friends and we weren't sure if we wanted to eat here or elsewhere. We wanted to check the menu out and have some beers. The waitress in a red shirt told us to sit wherever. There wasn't many people in there and every table was dirty. I had to clean it myself as the waitress disappeared. Literally no one in the place. When she finally reappeared she looked like she hated life and hated working here. Makes sense. The place was dirty and disgusting and empty. We ordered beers and would have ordered another round but she NEVER came back to the table and never asked to take our food order. She had the worst attitude I've ever seen eating out. Finally after watching the ridiculous garbage on their pathetic flat screen we had to make the bartender standing around texting on her phone go find little miss attitude to settle our check. We hit the bathrooms after little miss attitude finally did something and wow how deplorable. The bathrooms were a disgusting mess. This place is a dump. The employees do not deserve to be in the service business. Hey business owner..... your bar SUCKS. Never seen such a pathetic clown show in my entire life. This is the worst bar I've been to and I've been to many. If you had good service we would have ordered food, more drinks and tipped very well. The negative Yelp reviews aren't wrong. You run a nasty, disgusting, pathetic bar. It starts from the top. If your bar and bartenders are a reflection of you, I hope to never meet you. You should be ashamed of this pathetic excuse for a bar/restaurant. What a f*****g joke.

How do I start? Well this evening Stephanie the bartender asked me if I wanted a shot? Sure why not. This happens a few times along with other patrons. Stephanie charged me for not only my shot but the rest of the bars, I paid....... $175.00 for some beers. 2 shots, and an order of fries. Did not leave a tip obviously and leaving this review. If I could give zero stars I would. You do not do that to people. I own a small business. I work in this field. You don't F someone over because you can. Sucks to see this happen in old town Arvada.

We live in Arvada and frequent the Grandview Tavern! The food has always been excellent and the service as well! However we stopped in this afternoon to have corned beef and cabbage for St Patrick's day and were shocked at how bad the food was! The cabbage was vinegary and burned and not completely cooked! The corned beef was tough and the potatoes were perhaps boxed augratin! Not sure, we took the leftovers so as not to insult the waitress! We are eighty plus, eat out every year for this occasion and have never had such bad food! Sorry, we thought you should know!

We had an absolutely horrible experience. We sat outside for a nice relaxing evening. A group of obnoxious people sat right next to me, my wife and two girls. Not the restaurant's fault but it started us off negatively. We ordered the beer cheese and pretzel. It was horrible. Chewy. Stiff, gummy. Just not good at all. We got our meal. I ordered a poblano burger, medium rare. My wife ordered fajitas. My burger came out well done. Her fajitas came out without sour cream. She asked for sour cream. I'm sent my burger back. Her sour cream came out about 20 minutes later followed by my burger. This time my burger was well done and it didn't have the poblano pepper on it. The waitress was nice and apologetic. She was being overworked and her very crappy kitchen didn't do her any favors. We'll chose to go somewhere else in Old Town Arvada.

$18 for 6-7 fries, frozen fish, and disgusting slaw. Asked for medium rare burger and it came out bloody. Absolutely pathetic portion sizes and sub par food that is vastly overpriced. Dont recommend, much better options around.

I want to like this place. It's a no-frills pub with a pretty vast menu. The servers were nice and they had the World Cup on as well as college football for other patrons. However, it is 100% unacceptable to have printed menus with EVERY price redacted. It would cost them less than $100 to print all new menus, and even less to put a QR code on every table. I'm sorry, I don't know about you, but I don't like going to restaurants where the price is a complete mystery.

I wish I would have started coming here sooner. Prices are good. The appetizers are the best. Highly recommend the soft pretzels! I didn't expect to get a five star meal experience like some other yelp reviewers did... It is a bar/tavern. My past experiences here they have been a little short staffed. But many places are! Servers are nice and they work hard. Their fries are by far the best. Got their sweet chili wings and those were great.

Don't know what was going on there but it took a full 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. We decided not to order dinner even though we were hungry. Just couldn't imagine how long it would take to get.

This place was okay. We went on a Tuesday which unbeknownst to us is Trivia Night (started early! At 6:00 I think). Atmosphere was fine, it was too cold of a day for the patio which is what makes this place cool. Happy hour was $5 wings, mozz sticks, pretzels, which was fine nothing special. They did have multiple sauces and our table was happy. I didn't ever get my second drink though. One plus star for free cake for some reason... haha.

They served pastrami as a French dip sandwich. We called them out on it and they admitted they did it. Took it off bill. Clearly did not have correct ingredients and subbed something else trying to pass off as the real thing. Beware especially if you have allergies. Who knows what they'll serve you.

I had an issue the first time I visited here about the vulgar atmosphere (had to listen to patrons at the bar shouting obscenities the entire time). I left a review on their Facebook page addressing my concern. They responded telling me to ask for the owners if I came back in. I decided to give them a second chance, I came here for a night out with my husband and asked for the owners as I was instructed. Wow, was that ever awkward. The husband and wife team were condescending and dismissive. They even interrupted my husband to snarl "what's your point?". In a nutshell, we were told that they don't police their restaurant, if we don't like it then leave and if we don't return then that's fine with them. We were making a conscientious effort to be nothing but polite and even complimented the place in an effort to NOT seem too complain-y. Don't you think a restaurant that charges high end prices should have a high end atmosphere? If I have to tell you that there should not be obnoxious people cussing loudly in your "family restaurant" then something is very wrong here. The icing on the cake was getting blown off literally mid-sentence so they can go sit back at the bar. Needless to say, we won't be back. But as it was made abundantly clear, that's fine with the them. Oh and I also think it's noteworthy to mention that they hide negative feedback on their Facebook page and you will get blocked from posting on their page. Don't want word getting out about your horrendous customer service? The food is mediocre but even if it was heaven on earth...that wouldn't be enough to make up for the blatant rudeness of Alec and Carolyn. I'm glad they can't police people shouting obscenities in their restaurant but when you politely make a suggestion you're told to never come back.

Would give a 0 star if I could. Awful food. Everything was reheated. Pictures below of what the menu said an item was and what I got. Ordered chicken and waffles and it was literal chicken nuggets no doubt out of a bag on a over cooked waffle. Burger was awful. The queso and salsa tasted like they scooped it out of a jar and microwaved it. I'm not one to send food back but asked the waitress to take them off the bill and went somewhere else.

This bar and grill is a gem of Olde Town Arvada! Located on Grandview Ave. directly adjacent to RTD light rail station with ample and nearby parking directly north. Walking into the Grandview, I felt an English pub vibe. Quite a few large TVs to view all the sport all. Plenty of seating inside as well as patio seating in front and back. I was greeted by Connie, who promptly had a water and menu ready to get me started. Connie is top-notch and on her game, 10/10. I asked for Grandview's food/drink daily specials. My luck it was 1/2 price burger day! I ordered the Roasted Poblano Pepper burger. Yum! This burger was loaded with all the fixins'! Mango salsa, delicious! I couldn't get enough! All together this was a fabulous dining experience! Will definitely visit again! Special thanks to the wonderful bartender, Connie, for all the great food suggestions!!!

Me and my wife started come here sporadically over the long course of Covid and the staff have always been careful and friendly! Usually these places have drinks or food that's worthwhile and this place had both! It has a very good selection for such a small place for alcohol and my wife, many of our friends, and I have ordered nearly the whole variety of food off their menu and everything has been delicious and filling. I recommend their fries to everyone, they are perfect! I hope the staff sees this and keeps the good work up!

Customer service terrible!!! We sat and waited about 10 minutes until someone in back noticed us and waited on us, then again waited! Lady in glasses looked at us as if we were clearly on the wrong establishment! Hoping she doesn't own this business, because she shouldn't!!!!

Best place in Arvada! I love the microbrew selections. Very unique! The service and suggestions were spot on. The food is delicious and fresh. They have a shepard pie that is spectacular. Very friendly and fun! My new go to place in Arvada!!!

This place is very hit-or-miss. Tonight the service was just horrible. The bar and food staff were oblivious to anyone except their regulars. Gossipy, and chatty, but people were walking out because they were not being served. To Miss Red Pants bartender...gawd, smile or something. Make eye contact. She wanted to "girl talk" with her friends the whole time. Just looked pissed off. About a month ago the service was amazing! It was a Friday, so was that the difference? Hmmm...not sure. Not sure if we will try again.

I totally get what is happening today concerning COVID. Point blank the 2 entrees tasted the same. Our order took a long time. I just reviewed the quality of the food and service and a little advice. Stop in for lunch. There was three of us and we all ordered different burgers. Everyone was very happy with their burger. I had the Poblano and it was excellent one had the blue, the other was Denver. I wish now I took a picture.....

Went for a dinner with some friends last weekend. Trying to support local business after the negative effects of COVID Table dirty, not cleaned after prior guests. Food all over the floor. Had to ask twice for waitress to wipe down table. Food mediocre at best. My wife and I decided to spit fajitas, not hot, warm at best had to ask twice for plates Very disappointing to find unsanitary conditions with the COVID virus GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

I'm updating my review...and lowering my rating...after three more unpleasant experiences at The Grandview in Arvada. Frankly, I find that they've just stopped trying. At least from my perspective. The Guinness ALWAYS tastes like it's being poured through dirty lines, and that alone is unacceptable. The music is usually way too loud and even when my table politely asked the waitress twice to lower it - then made a few smiley jokes about the crap music being turned up as loud as it was - we were basically blown off. My friends and I are looking for a place near Olde Town Arvada where we can go for a Guinness on a weekend night without being assaulted by overwhelming music! (We LOVE music...we love LOUD music...but we also recognize that there's a time, a place and that the music should be for the patrons enjoyment, NOT that of the tattooed hipster-wannabe behind the bar.) Hey morons: There's music you play at a DANCE CLUB and then there's music you play at a place where you want to sit, talk over drinks and not have to shout at each other!! Learn the difference! The 12 Volt offers loud live music, as does the D-Note across the street, The Archieve Room (shockingly) played music so loud at 9pm, that we left because my party couldn't even hear each other while standing at the host stand, waiting for a hostess that never came...so we left. We went to go into the new sprotsbar formerly known to locals as "Bliss" and found that a bunch of 20-somethings we There are a couple of juke joints, but that's not what we were looking for...then we opted for the (too warm) but relatively sticky-tabled coziness of The Grandview, which we all agreed was "the least noisy" of the bunch (or at least it seemed so after we got tired of roaming the streets looking for a place we could chat over a drink!). The inappropriate-for-the-setting "music" got boosted even louder within 15 minutes of our sitting down. I want to like The Grandview. Hell, I want to LOVE The Grandview...but they make it impossible.

Really surprised by the food here actually. Cute little tavern you can sit at for awhile. Overall enjoyed the experience. Wish the server would have stopped by a few more times but it was small enough that it was easy to get her attention when needed. Overall would definitely go back, especially for the Mac n cheese!!
