⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fantastic! We went to Greek Gyro Marketplace for date night, and it was amazing! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly — perfect for a casual night out. The feta fries were next-level delicious — perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. But the real star of the show was the gyro. Juicy, hot, and packed with flavor, it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Every bite was pure happiness. If you’re in Missoula and craving something flavorful and fresh, this place is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Great food and very friendly staff. One person in our group had a treenut allergy and the staff went out of their way to go back and check if any cross contamination was likely and even looked up their ingredients list to double check. Gyro was awesome (fresh cut from the stack as you can see in the pics) and the souvlaki was flavorful too. Falafel was kinda mediocre though. Casual seating with a few benches to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Plenty of parking available.

Always a delight coming here as the staff is super friendly and the food always comes out awesome and delicious. I appreciate a business that takes pride in the products that they serve and I also enjoy getting the same gyro every time I come. I’ve never had a bad experience here.

I lived in Missoula 11 years ago, and I randomly stumbled across this resturant. It was the best gyro I've ever had. Fast forward to present day, and all the other gyros I eat I compare to this one. I visited Missoula for Thanksgiving, and coming to get a gyro was one of my priorities. I had to know, did I place this gyro on a pedestal from nostalgia? Nay, this gyro confirmed it's place as my #1 gyro I've ever tasted. 10/10

I absolutely love the food here. My go-to is the gyro with feta and french fries. The fries aren't overly greasy and have just the perfect crunch. #1 has a small eating area with a handful of tables inside and some outdoor seating. There is not a parking lot but has a few spaces on the street. I think most patrons do what we do and park at the back end of the Orange St Foodfarm parking lot. On our most recent visit we sat by the window. The sills were relatively dusty with dried food in several areas. The windows where we sat also had dried food and some greasy finger swipes. The ketchup bottle we were using felt greasy. Much doesn't separate the 'kitchen' from the seating area and it could be due to grease settling in the air or, fry hands. I will say I don't recall this being the standard. We could have come on the tail end of a busy lunch and staff hadn't been able to attend the dining area. If you haven't tried these gyros, you have to! Check them out.

Had the veggie gyro 🥙 and side of klamata olive 🫒 Very tasty veggie meal for lunch $11. Pleasant balcony for fast casual meal.

This has been one of my favorite spots for a decade. My go to order is a gyro with feta and a side of fries. If I’m just looking for a snack the feta fries are incredible. Service is fast and friendly.

Food is amazing here - we love it! My whole family loves it. We were here for my son's college graduation and my mom told us we had to get gyro's for dinner one of the nights - we made it happen. Have eaten here several times and it's always delicious!

Awesome gyros and gyro plates!! I recommend ordering ahead because they're always busy, but the foods tasty,and the staff is friendly!

This mom and pop place has been run by the same Greek family for decades and the food is terrific!! Fair prices and real lamb in the gyros.

YUM. Definitely some great Greek food in Missoula. Plenty of street parking right out front. I can see why my to go order was going to take 45 minutes. This place was very busy with so many orders coming in and people picking up. The food is a good price, you get a big portion, and it is warm and tastes great. The staff was funny and friendly. They were doing their best to get all the orders out before they closed. They worked well as a cohesive unit. I got the Chicken plate about $12 but plenty of food and delicious. We also tried the Greek salad with Chicken about $11. Good salad and large portion as well. We got the fries and they were a great compliment to the chicken plate. We also tried the Spanakopita, and it was very good too. I enjoyed this place and the meal and would definitely go back. I could eat this food every week.

I think it's funny how Missoulians rave about this place. It's like one of three Greek food options within a 100 mile radius, so I feel this establishment does the bare Montana minimum when it could be so much better. Their tzatziki sauce is weak: it's just chopped up cucumbers in yogurt. A good tzatziki actually tastes like cucumber because it's grated in. Tasteless iceberg lettuce on gyros (versus a good romaine) and chunks of strong onions that'll overpower your gyro, versus thinly sliced red onions. But I'll give them some credit for the awesome baklava and good service. And the mall location usually has some cool stuff playing on TV.

Quality food and service! My grandson from Davenport IA absolutely loves the chicken strips & fries! Generally we try to stop before a Paddlehead baseball game and they are very accommodating! Their staff is a well oiled machine that puts out a LOT of food! I highly recommend it

Stopped for takeout. Got a greek salad with chicken, egg roll and pita bread. Delish!!! Courteous staff and reasonably priced.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I lived in the Zoo for 15 years and frequented #1 for all those years. It's the only restaurant I truly miss from the Zoo. Go here, you won't be let down - authentic food, wonderful staff and unforgettable charm. Miss you #1!!!

YALL! When I say this is the BEST food I've ever had, just know it. We're traveling from Ohio and this is the best food we've had in the 8 states we've tried! The staff is so friendly and you can tell they put so much love into their food. They're so organized, communicate well and work amazing together. Everything is super clean too. There isn't a lot of tables to sit at but the MINUTE someone leaves they're cleaning so it's ready to go. I would literally move to montana just for this restaurant alone! Incredible!

This place hands down deserves 5 stars! We have been coming here for years now and their food is consistently and deliciously on-point. Their portions are very generous and they do not skimp on flavor. Even the portions on the items from the kids menu are huge. The gyros are packed full of delicious and perfectly flavored meat. The meat they use is heavenly and oh-so flavorful. It's what dreams are made of. They also have the best fries in Missoula! Whether you order the regular fries or the Greek fries, you will NOT be disappointed. This is not a fancy, high end restaurant. It's even better! It is family owned and they are always so friendly and put their heart and soul into this restaurant and it shows. When you eat here, you feel like you are eating with family and I have never said that about any other restaurant before. Due to COVID, they serve everything in a to-go bag but you can still eat inside of you choose. They also have some picnic tables outside if you are more comfortable being in an open space. We just ate lunch there today and I noticed that every time a customer would leave, the staff was on top of wiping down the table and chairs. These guys work hard and the place is always busy, yet they have consistently remained top notch. I definitely recommend giving them a try if you haven't already.

Fucking. Delicious. What else do you need to hear? I found this place on Yelp while my New York self was craving falafel. OMG I was not disappointed! Falafel Plate was fresh and amazing and the staff is super nice as well. They immediately picked up that I was vegan and swapped in hummus for the non-vegan ingredients to my delight. Highly, HIGHLY, recommend this place if you're in Missoula, Montana.

These definitely don't beat the gyros I had in Greece, but they're absolutely delicious. I've been to Missoula many times, but this was my first time at #1 gyros. Ww both got the traditional greek gyro with all of the toppings. At only $6.50 you're not going to find a better deal on something so filling. The food came out quickly and was all wrapped up tightly. Everything tastes great. The meat is fresh, the vegetables were good and the tzatiki was very flavorful. My only compliant would be that they put A LOT of sauce on it, so it was falling apart towards the end. I love me some tzatiki, but I wish it had been a little less. I didn't try them, but the special fries look amazing. Definitely on my list for next time. With how close it is to Food Farm and how affordable and fresh it was, I will be making myself a regular here on my yearly trips to Missoula.

The ultimate gyro made by a family with Greek roots! This humble eatery will ruin you for any other gyro; I speak from experience. This is the perfect gyro, and the Greek fries are equally addictive! If you're in a rush, call ahead for pickup. But don't eat the food fast. It deserves to be savored. The staff is wonderful, but the seating is limited. I love this place!

We ordered food to go in the restaurant then they brought the food out to our car. While we started eating in our car, they realized they forgot the baklava we ordered so they ran out and gave us an extra piece and some extra hummus and babaganoush as well. I got the Gyro sample plate which comes with a full side of fries. My friend got a chicken souvlaki. The food was well seasoned and came out hot. Service was great and the staff was friendly. We would definitely return!

Easily one of the best lunch spots in town. Get the lunch special and you'll be well fed for the day.

Update: Ordered online on a Saturday night at 6:30. When I saw the pick-up time, I called to cancel my order (I had hangry kids). I didn't want to pull a Karen, just had to make sure to feed the littles before they lost their marbles. Within five minutes of calling to cancel the order, they called me back and said that they could get it ready if I could hurry up and be there in 15-30 minutes. As always, the food was amazing. Even MORE amazing are the wonderful folks who work here. Seriously, the nicest people ever. Actually, it's a tie because both are the best around.

I found this place while in the Southgate Mall doing some shopping. It is right at the center so it's easy to find. I had their "special" with gyro, fries and a drink. I opted for the Greek fries which were excellent. They are topped with salt, oregano and lemon juice. . Super delicious. The gyro was good; I liked that the meat was grilled on the spinning, vertical rotisserie. The side of tzatziki sauce was a bit bland, but perked up with just a bit of salt. A great lunch fir $13!

An incredibly efficient, hard working, delicious joint. This is/was a take-out, but under the 'circumstances,' we could not enjoy dining at the few tables they had. But while watching them, every phone call was answered; every order was made; and, everyone was taken care of. Tons of Doordash people here. I couldn't have been more impressed. It's everything that you want in a college town. They serve an amazing gyro, and they have been doing it since the 70s. Our gyros were robust, savory, and are now on the way to our digestive system. And their hummus would make a garlic lover blush. But we love all that, haha. It's not in a hipster area, so keep that in mind. I thought everything they did was fantastic, but I'm hammered so...

Been a customer since 1980. They've only gotten better. Great gyros and the sauces are amazing. The best and most generous baklava I've ever had. The filling:phyllo ratio is perfect and they soak it in the most flavorful syrup, you can taste the generations perfecting these recipes.

I love this place! I've been eating Gyros here since they opened in 1977 and my Dad took me there at age 11 ! The staff is very efficient and polite, they go out of their way to make every visit great ! The Tzaziki is fresh made and super good !

The food is always amazing, chicken souvlaki is so flavorful and the amount of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce is crazy. Come here hungry. I don't know what they put on the Greek fries but they are too delicious to stop eating until you're too full to move. They are always crazy-busy when we go so there's usually a wait. But the food is worth the wait, the staff is friendly, offer great service, and the gyros and souvlaki are always hot, fresh, and delicious.

'I wish I could stop eating this gyro' I thought to myself as I took two or three huge bites at a time. The enormous classic gyro is more addictive with each bite, the cravings begin when you witness them cutting the meat right in front of you. The baklava here is better than the one I had in Paris, its sweet, sticky, balanced in flavor and texture. The fries are crispy, and the employees are zesty as well. You can't beat $6.50 for the tastiest gyro (with feta added, of course). The other highlight of this restaurant is the ample people watching from your seats. Where else can you go for big meat flavors as well as seeing an actual boob pop out of a sun dress in the parking area? It's pronounced gyro, not gyro.

Pretty much the only place to go for Greek food in Missoula. It offers standard fast food Greek fare at a reasonable price. The people serving the food are nice, their Baklava is good. They don't use lamb/sheep meat so they are missing an opportunity to offer something different there.

Great food. Reasonable price. Fun atmosphere. Only knock on them was the customer service. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time, there were five employees and we just stood there for almost 10 minutes before somebody finally took our order. I think that was just a fluke. Would absolutely return again.

My sister-in-law and I like to go out to lunch and we always go here. Where else?? The original gyros is an original star!! And the Greek fries!! Wow!! The food is consistently outstanding and fresh. We always go early because it's so popular but it's never a long wait. I'm sure other things are delicious but why order something else when I dream of the gyros!! Highly, highly recommend!!!!

When you are the best you are the best. Was born and raised in this place...literally, the grandmother use to help babysit me. You won't find better meat or pita bread grilled just right.

I'm from Southern California and this is hands down the best gyro I have ever had. Montana wins again. I added olives. Highly recommend. Super sweet staff as well. Easy no pay parking is a bonus.

These guys never disappoint. The food is fresh, well prepared and delicious. The lines are the price of them being good at what they do. And if you call and order they estimate wait time almost perfectly. Favorite fast food place in town

What a little hidden gem in Missoula! We needed something quick, near downtown, and delicious and this place delivered on all fronts. Went with my family and we all ordered gyros and a side of their battered fries. One side of fries can easily be shared. Super tasty! They are not shy with the tzatziki sauce, so maybe get in the side if you like it lighter. Service was super Montana friendly. They seem to have a great crew. Even though the inside is small- they have a cute outdoor patio with picnic tables.

I always stop here when I travel to or through Missoula. I need a gyro fix from time to time and theirs are great. Pleasant staff too. Thanks for not making me wear a mask.

Not sure how many times we have been by this place but are now sorry for all the times we could have eaten there! Walked in early to pay and then wait to pickup an order. They were able to get the order out early and the food was awesome. Gyros and a Greek Salad with gyro meat, very good.

This is our go to for an inexpensive, quality and local meal. I've had the regular gyro meat and the pork souvlaki. I like both of them, but think the gyro meat is better because it's "dissolved in your mouth" tender.

Delicious wraps and fries! Chicken souvlaki and Greek fries are my regular order. Love going here, all the employees are so kind and always smiling.

A local staple. Across the street from Orange St. Grocery. Together they epitomize MSO's "gritty" history. Fills my cheap eats cravings and definitely serves the best gyros anywhere outside of NYC or Chicago that I've tried. Go anywhere else for Greek in the Rockies and you'll probably be disappointed.

This gem restored my love for gyros! They did a great job. I prefer a crispier pita and when requested, they cooked it perfectly! Indoor and outdoor seating was great. Very basic dining room.

Frequently visit Missoula from San Diego and this shop is always included in my "wish list" of dining spots. Everyone always makes you feel like family. You'll never leave hungry!

I have been going since I was a kid when they first opened - these are the kindest people and let's face it...the food is second to none! This is one of the best ever places... I'm a fan for life.

High tier desserts. Great gyros, great everything! Good fries, good beef, good food. Only downside is wait. But this place is top notch.
