If you want to experience authentic Brazilian food, this restaurant is a good choice. Extremely tender and juicy steak with the combination of rice, salad and yuka fries. Seafood Paella was so flavourful. It also has great seating for the bar.

This was one of the best experiences with Brazilian food outside of Brazil that I have had so far! Everything there really reminds me of Brazil, starting with the cordiality and affection in the service provided by all the staff. The Brazilian music, the decoration and atmosphere of the place are all very pleasant and welcoming. Finally, best of all, the food is delicious and really authentic! 😋I almost cried in ecstasy when I ate Coxinha, pao-de-queijo and mousse. I will miss that delicious carne-de-sol! I went there 3 times to try different dishes and drinks and I still wish I had gone back more often if I was still in Washington. ❤️ I simply loved! 😍

We went there for Saturday night dinner for outdoor seating. The food was mediocre, we ordered Paio de Queijo, picanha and feiojada. The paio de queijo was hot but dry, the ones from Fogo de Chao was much better than these. The picanha was tough and dry. Ordered medium rare and it came as well done. The feiojada was the better of the three but still salty. The service was not great, they didn’t clean the table when we asked for checks. This place needs to step up its game especially with other better options like Lapis/Perry’s nearby. Most folks who came here seems to be neighborhood people who just simply sticking to familiarity.

Went here for the first time to celebrate my son's 24th birthday. The food was delicious from appetizers to the main dishes that we had. Meat was perfectly cooked! Veey good, reasonably priced wine. Attentive service. Even got a birthday dessert (ice cream cake) with a Happy Birthday song from the staff. Between food and the service, we will definitely be back!

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in DC (since I moved here in '03). Old school joint with excellent food, ambience, service, everything. Highly recommend (especially for date night).

Very authentic feijoada and caipirinha. The restaurant does have fusion options (American interpretations of Brazilian cuisine). But it also has Brazilian dishes. Definitely recommend! Attentive staff.

Hosted a dinner here for 14 people while in town for a conference. This was a great experience. The service team worked hard and we're successful in ensuring everyone's needs were met. The flavors are tremendous and there are really fun options.

Genuine Brazilian food!! The flavor and taste of the food is superb. The environment is pleasant and service is excellent. Good place to taste two Delicious and traditional Brazilian beers Bohemia and Brahma or a fresh classical traditional caipirinha!

The thing about caipirinhas is that they taste so refreshing you can forget they are alcoholic. Beware. :-) This is a Brazilian-run establishment and it shows, not just in the variety of dishes but in the authenticity you'll taste. Make sure to try their paella (not often found in Brazil), their feijoada (found pretty much everywhere in Brazil) and their cheese mouse with passionfruit coulis. This won't be a cheap meal, but this is DC.

if you want the vibe of an all inclusive 2 star resort I'd recommend here.... - it took us awhile to put our finger on the vibe but the booth we were sitting in with the same pattern upholster as my local dentist office and the large portions of extremely mid and overpriced food led us to feel we were in an all inclusive restaurant at perhaps a theme park - the waiters themselves were very kind and they accommodate large parties (will even split the check many many many ways) and do free big birthday so the service is a win. great staff - however the food.... All my friends who ordered steaks....considering it's a brazialian restaurant... reported they were extremely disappointed with the meat quality. dry and flavorless yet somehow still pulling off fat chucks of fat. I'm not going to lie the meat was honestly gray in color. - the chicken dish, Frango Cabo Frio, I ordered was a total safe bet and the sauce was great. but the vegetables were clearly cooked in a cheap oil and the chicken itself lacked any flavor and was dry despite being underneath a cream sauce - the paella was beautiful but overpriced, double the quality can be found at Boqueria Barcelona jaleo so save yourself this order - I will not be returning but if for some reason you do, get the "cheese bread" and add the spicy sauce, bc it's a glorified cheese curd (it's a ball, not a piece of bread) with a fun texture

We came here to celebrate my SIL's graduation. We both got the passionfruit juice, which wasn't too tart and very refreshing. I had trouble deciding, but ended up getting the churrasquinho misto, which was a skewer with beef, chicken, pork, and sausage. It came with white rice, veggies, and a couple of sauces. The meats were dry, so I didn't enjoy this dish very much. We shared carne de sol com mandioca, which was sun-dried beef and fried yuca on separate plates. The beef was basically sausage with onions. We also had some cute little baguettes. Others got pasta, paella, and lamb chops. For dessert, we got a chocolate cake, passionfruit mousse, and a brigadeiro de colher com sorvete e amendoim. This was like a parfait consisting of a chocolate bar served with vanilla ice cream and peanuts. Overall, the food was okay and so was the service.

Came here on a Friday night as a group of 3 for restaurant week. The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area (which we would've taken advantage of, but was kind of hot outside) but we opted for the indoor seats inside. The layout is interesting inside with a nice little bar that greets you. The service is fair and straight to the point and the menu seems to be full of authentic options. First round were the appetizers that were decent. The croquettes were probably the best and the 2 salads were fine. The mushroom with crab meat was a little bit fishy unfortunately but the greens were decently fresh. The entrees were unfortunately where things fell a little flat. The steak was cooked well but the sides were a little meh. The feijoada was too salty unfortunately and like 80% beans. The shrimp stew was pretty good but not good enough to elevate the other dishes. The desserts, while sweets were a bit dense. The coconut flan was good but the sweet caramel flan was ridiculously thick. Overall I'd say its a fine restaurant. Wouldn't be against trying it again but probably would not actively seek this place out again.

This was a nice trip back to Brazil. I had a hard time choosing what to order as it's difficult to find the menu items found here anywhere else in the US. The restaurant is a little on the classier side. Definitely a great date spot. I decided on the caldo de feijao for a hot bowl of soup because it was freezing outside. The flavor was so good and immediately reminded me of the feijoada I had back in São Paulo. I also ordered the salada verde which was decent with romaine lettuce and a creamy dressing that was okay. For my entree I had the Bisteca de contra file (ribeye steak) with mixed vegetables. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Wonderful experience here, I would definitely recommend.

Parking is very challenging in a busy neighborhood/road; I parked four blocks away. The cuisine appeared genuine, but after just one visit, I decided against a return. Though the restaurant was not busy, the service was sluggish and disorganized, yet the most distressing aspect of the experience was that my friend was robbed. During our lunch, her wallet was taken, and within two hours, her credit card and debit cards were used at two nearby jewelry shops along Connecticut Ave, resulting in $11,000 in damage. We informed the hostess, then left frustrated and violated. They have not done anything to remediate the situation or provided camera footage that could clear their reputation. Our latest attempt to inquire about the theft was met with a refusal to comment. So, food review: not enough data to comment, service: below par, ambiance: terrible. I do not recommend it.

A very tasty restaurant in Adams Morgan! The interior is beautiful, and the service is very good. The food is pricey and not quite as good as I'd hope. The shrimp brochette was $10 for that small plate, and the chicken could have been more tender. The lettuce was a little wet as well. But the flavors were amazing! I loved the thick salad dressing and the delicious black bean soup. This is a great space for large groups and had many open tables on a Monday night.

Enjoyed a relaxing evening on the patio trying out the Brazilian food. The server told us the background behind the restaurant and was helpful in making the selections. I ordered the national cocktail, caipirinha, which seemed to be a blend of a margarita and mojito without the mint. I found it a bit bitter and sour, so it is definitely not a sweet cocktail. The coxinha gallina was crispy on the outside and had a nicely flavored chicken on the inside. The abacate maraja was a delightful blend of avocado, shrimp and a mayonnaise style dressing. I enjoyed my salamo maracuja with the sweet passion fruit glaze. They were able to accommodate my request to switch out the rice for black beans as that is my preference. The vegetable side was nicely buttered and sautéed. We would like to come again sometime.

Caiprinhas* (Brazilian drink with Cachaca, sugar, and limes) 2. Feijoada (Stew with black beans, dry beef, pork, sausage, and smoked meat) with rice, collard greens, and farofa* 3. Carne de sol (marinated and dried flank steak) with yucca and black eyed peas 4. Bobo de camarao (seafood stew with yuca, tomato, cilantro, onion, cashews, and coconut milk)* * = our favorites

Excellent service, great menu options and perfect for large groups. We were a group of 10. We made it more family style. We ordered multiple tapas and 8 entrees. We came in hungry and left very satisfied. We also brought our own wine. It was a $15 corkage fee. Feijoada-deli-delicious and generous portions. Cheese bread-yumm! Brazilian Paella-different, but tasty Steaks- it had a good flavor but wasn't very tender. We pretty much ordered everything on their menu. I'm just stating the standouts from our evening. It was our daughters's bday, initially they passed out the dessert menu only to take it back and bring a huge baked Alaska. Enough for everyone at our table to share! It's the little things that make come back :)

Fantastic brunch deal for DC Restaurant week. Started my meal with the Caldo de Sururu. It was the perfect light soup to open the meal. The table also got an order of yucca fries to share. They were crispy and complimented well by the creamy cilantro sauce it came with. For my main entree, I had the Moqueca de Peixe a Baiana. This is a fish stew made with tomato and coconut milk. If you're not a fan of coconut milk, this is not the dish for you, because the coconut flavor definitely comes out. But to me, it was the perfect creaminess! On the menu, it indicated that the dish came with pirao (yucca purée), but I did not get that. Instead I got a side of vegetables (carrots, onions, zucchini, and broccoli). I do wish I got to try the pirao. Lastly, for dessert I had a fried banana with whipped cream. Despite us being one of the only guests in the restaurant, our waiter seemed barely available. This is a family run restaurant, so they may have been understaffed. Although the service was a little slower (our meal ended up being 3 hours lol), the food was unique and tasty...and all for just $25!

Wonderful neighborhood establishment with warm ambiance and atmosphere to have a date sit with friends or even have a meal with family. Food was rich in flavor without being salty and my meal was delicious. I started with the vegetable soup, delicious then the flank steak which the menu said was sat in milk and garlic. Yummy. My wife ordered the shrimp plate which she enjoyed and said was very refreshing. The oldest female hostess made us feel like she really cared about our experience and the restaurant. She had wonderfully warm energy. Lastly being black American and entering this establishment I felt NO microtensions from the staff which is worth noting.

The dishes here were unlike any other as I don't often gravitate towards Brazilian cuisine. The pasta and steak were incredible and the server was so helpful in helping our party choose from the menu! The ambiance of this place was cozy :)

Great food, drinks, and service! Came there for my team and I was definitely surprised by the quality of the food! Here's what we ordered and are must haves: - Brazilian paella (delicious with large pieces of seafood) - Carne de Sol (flank steak that was perfectly seasoned and cooked) - Calderada de Frutos do Mar (seafood stew - hell yah!)

This is a tough one. The waiter and kitchen staff managed to get the entire order wrong; they brought my lady the incorrect chicken dish, and the steak that I ordered medium-rare was literally gray inside. I may as well have pulled a Donald Trump and asked for a bottle of ketchup. That said, apart from the steak that I could have beaten someone over the head with, the food was actually quite tasty, and the manager did offer us half off the bill.

Delicious food, great service! The decor was fun and intimate. Try the Brazilian national drinks and menu items!

We had the "Mexilhao Ao Coco" (mussels in the spicy coconut cream sauce), the "Bolinho De Carne" (beef croquettes) and Costela De Carneiro Ao Alecrim (Rack of Lamb). Everything was perfect, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was also top notch and very attentive! Highly recommend this Brazilian steakhouse in Admo! 5 stars!

I saw that Adams Morgan neighborhood has a few Brazilian places to choose from, which I thought was nice. However, it seems like for Brazilian seafood, this is the place to go to, since most other places don't have much in seafood offerings. I tried the moqueca and the Brazilian paella (which I've never heard of before and I believe this to be this restaurant's invention). I was half-hoping that the moqueca didn't come in the little pumpkin/squash, but that might be pushing it. It was still good, but it wasn't nearly the best I've had (that goes to a place in Florida's Deerfield Beach, currently). The Brazilian paella, however, was easily the favorite between the two dishes. I would order this again and would not hesitate to come back to try some other items in the menu.

Grossly overpriced food in a somewhat casual dining setting. The taste was really authentic though but I won't come back here again due to the exorbitant prices. Mains go for $29 and up (excluding taxes) and gratuity is added directly on top of the bill.

This is a very late review. I went here with my sister for restaurant week last year. We both agree that it was the absolute worst restaurant experience of our lives. They completely forgot about us (even though we were the first table there). And after that everything took forever. The food came out cold and when my sister asked them to heat up her salmon they put it in the microwave. It was a 3hr dining disaster. And no we aren't exaggerating. We've both worked as servers so we are very lenient with busy nights (even though this seems irrelevant since it wasn't busy yet when we got there). We still tipped well anyway because we feel obligated. The server was definitely just as much responsible as the kitchen.

Unbelievable Service!! So happy I held my alumni gathering there back in January of 2024. Will be going back for sure.

My wife and I came here for restaurant week, and the food is fantastic. All the food we got was excellent and very flavourful. We got a Caipirinha deluxe and a maracujinha, and the drinks were delicious. For my first part, I got Churrasquinho de camarao, a nice saucy that complemented the brochettes. However, while I enjoyed the Salmao ao molho de maracuja, I think the star of the night was the Bobo de camarao which is so rich in flavor, and I always enjoy a dish with curry and rice. She was a little upset that she couldn't try a Brazilian wine, but maybe next time. Service could be better, and there seemed to be a language barrier with one of the servers, but overall we had a great time and would return.

It's a beautiful restaurant located in Adams Morgan. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and although busy, the service was good. I would love to give this place a higher rating because I had high expectations for the food based on other reviews; however, to my party's of five dismay, the food was NOT GOOD. To whom it may concern, Your marquee says, "authentic Brazilian food," but what you served was nothing of the sort. The portions were generous but the food was out right bland and Brazilian food is far from bland. Definitely not worth the over $500 worth of food and beverage we spent. I even asked our server if the chef was Brazilian, and he confirmed the chef was not Brazilian. The lack of flavor in the stews we ordered was offensive. We even had to send a rack of lamb back to the kitchen because the temp was done wrong--why would you serve a well done rack of lamb when we asked for medium? And even the lamb lacked a good sear and even the taste of basic salt and pepper. Huge disappointment. The only dish that was tasty was the paella, which was extremely cilantro forward. My boyfriend and I stopped in for happy hour and dinner and thought the food and drinks were fabulous, if a bit pricey! Happy hour runs from 4-6:30p (modified from the signage, which says 4-7p!), and includes various drinks and Brazilian tapas. We ordered caipirinhas ($7.50 happy hour price) and mexhilhão à carioca (mussels in a green sauce) ($10 happy hour price). Both were delicious: the drink was limey and refreshing. The green sauce over the mussels was a gorgeous combination of tart and buttery, and they give you bread to sop it up. We also ordered sauteed vegetables and the feijoada for dinner. I'd skip the sauteed veggies next time, but the feijoada? Heavenly. The portion isn't huge, but it comes with rice, yucca flour, and collard greens, and the stew itself is smoky and flavorful and wonderful. Perfect if you're in the mood for comfort food. The tab ran us about $90 with tax and tip for two, which isn't cheap, but we'll definitely be back at some point!

Visiting DC, we stopped at The Grill from Ipanema because of the small plate menu. The food was very tasty, and the beverages were equally tasty. However, for a party of two people they added an 18% gratuity automatically, and the menu did not indicate that would happen except for larger parties (6 or more I think). Needless to say that after reviewing my receipts after getting home I find that the server got a double tip. It was nice, but not 80% gratuity nice.

Good tasting Brazilian food. Decent service. I made a reservation here to watch a World Cup game. Food was expensive but I mostly came for the experience. The TVs they had playing were a little small for the distance we were sat at and the volume was low even after asking the staff to turn it up .They added gratuity for 2 people so double check your bill. Overall, pretty average experience. Probably would not return.

Amazing sidewalk experience with 5 star service. Churrasco Misto, meat plate was amazing. Loved everything about it. The meats were flavorful and juicy: beef, chicken, sausage, and pork. Grilled veggies, beans, and rice were a great compliment. Also for a salad, had the Abacate Marajá. Shrimp and avocado were the highlights. Had a small full shrimp and a mix of avocado and shrimp. Very good. The chocolate cake...was...amazing. I don't even know were to begin. It had a crust which made me think it was a pie. Next chocolate layer was a mousse. Chocolate flakes on top with a chocolate drizzle. Loved the strawberry garnish. Superior service. Tempted to give them five stars but want to repeat. Definitely try them out.

Well I came during resturant week. The prok chops were very tough and hard. But the looked good. Had to send the chops back and got the chicken which was tasty. Service was very slow and we were the second people to arrive when they first opened. Although the food was not the best the staff was very wonderful and accommodating.

A friend and I trekked up to Adams Morgan to visit The Grill from Ipanema during Restaurant Week. I've spent a fair amount of time in Brazil over the years and was pleased that this place gave off quite an authentic vibe, as evidenced by my initial inquiry as to which cachaça they used in their caipirinhas (51) and my immediate pivot to something better (Leblon cachaça, which won't give you a headache). They also have a pretty traditional menu and don't attempt to be only a rodizio place, which I appreciated. Anyway, we had outdoor seating here and went with the three-course menu. I started with the coxinha de galinha (chicken & cheese croquettes), which reminded me of being back in São Paulo. For the entrée, I naturally went with the picanha, which is my favorite cut of meat aside from filet. It came with sauteed collard greens and biro-biro, another traditional choice. This was topped off with pudim de leite, which translates to milk pudding but is better described as flan. On the whole, we had a nice experience here. Our server was kind of grumpy, but he said he was having a bad day and apologized for his demanor partway through. Importantly, you can get a solid caipirinha here, PLUS the other traditional Brazilian drinks that you'd expect like caipirissima (I also had this), caipivodkas, etc. From start to finish, The Grill from Ipanema is the real deal. And DC is better for it.

Came here with my family on Friday evening for dinner. Initially when we came and was seated, there was a spider crawling on the table. With no issues we scooped it off. It's summer time, so we understood. The food we ordered was good. However when it got to dessert time we ordered the chocolate mousse cake. The cake came and it was a baby roach on the plate. I was disgusted. We talk to a lady in charge first who made it seem like it wasn't a roach. That is why I took a picture for sure. We then talked to the manager and he was very unapologetic and tried to justify the roach being on the plate. He said maybe the roach came out from somewhere in the restaurant. He stated he's been in business for 52 years and has seen roaches all the time. He wasn't apologetic and made it seem like it wasn't a big deal that a roach was on my plate. I am pregnant and disgusted. The manager could have handled the situation better and showed more concern. Things happen but it's how you handle and respond to the situation. The manager handled the situation inappropriately. When we got the bill from our server (not the manager, he never said anything about taking anything off the bill) the manager ended up taking off a percentage. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back AT ALL. I have added a picture of the proof.

This is a really good spot for Brazilian cuisine located in the adams morgan area of DC. It's a pretty simple and clean layout on the inside and they have a small patio area for outdoor dining. I stopped in on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar, service was pretty good the waiter was always readily available and provided some really good recommendations. Apparently they even do happy hour on the weekends so I ordered a few different tapas style items: the cod fish croquettes, the fried yuca, and the churrasquinho. As for the drinks I had to try their staple beverage the caipirinha. The food came out fairly quickly and all of the dishes were delicious. The caipirinha was a little too bitter to the taste for my liking but overall still a decent beverage. So if you're looking to try out some truly authentic Brazilian food definitely give this restaurant a try, I'll be returning soon to take a deeper dive into more of their specialty dishes.

Disassociate. Close your mind to the haggard bustle of metropolitan DC--the political infight of our nation's capital, the crowded metro cars, and the sickly stench of cannabis wafting from the street. You are removed, transported to a warm and sunny beach in the south Brazilian water town of Ipanema. Waves crash, avocados grow on the trees and mussels lie low by the Atlantic. This is the feeling of visiting The Grill From Ipanema D.C., an undeniably exquisite institution located on Columbia Road in Adams Morgan. Two rules for the road: do not 1) visit The Grill on a tight budget, or 2) pass on the varied and excellent Tapas menu. The small plates of appetizers here are a meal in and of themselves, and the mandioca frita is not to be missed. This is a fried yuca dish (picture a cross between French fries and plantains) served with a spicy sauce. The cheese bread is rich and filling, and the abacate maraja (avocado and shrimp salad) is oppositely light and refreshing. The menu of stews, steaks, and shellfish available as entrees is overwhelming to the eye. Too many good choices confront even the most decisive diners with a tough choice to make. I tried the "chef's special" mexilhao com massa: a heaping portion of linguini, herby garlic sauce, and the biggest mussels I had ever seen in my life. Served with a whole gravy boat of crumbled parmigiano on the side, it was easily the best meal I've experienced in Adams Morgan yet. Everything from the colorful artwork on the walls to the excellent after-dinner tea selection makes it clear that The Grill is a special restaurant meant for equally special occasions. The only thing I would change about my evening there is the tricky parking situation nearby (read: take the Metro if you can). For birthdays, end-of-term celebrations, and any other memorable get-togethers necessitated by our fast-paced lives in DC, choose The Grill From Ipanema to calm your senses and immerse your taste buds in Brazilian cuisine at its highest level.

Terrible service! Waiter and hostess were extremely rude. Food was ok. Took extremely long to get here. Seating us was a hassle. Hostess would not sit us until "whole party was here". Waiter checked in on every table except ours. Gratuity was already added on too. Overall, 0/10.

The food is always super fresh, even on a Monday night. This is a rare gem in DC, and it's impressive that after so many years, the food is still so good!

The quality of the food and the friendly and fast service are wonderful. The Grill From Ipanema is my favorite thing about Washington DC.

Incredible Brazilian food! We will absolutely be going back. The pao de quejio and creamy seafood stew (and other things) we soooo good!

From the outside I thought it would be tiny, but it was large and roomy inside. The food was really fresh, but a tad bland. The croquettes were super tasty and all the sauces were flavorful! Black beans and rice was good with the touch of cheese, but otherwise, not particularly well seasoned . My other complaint, I asked for a chimichurri type sauce for my steak but what was served was more like a vinegar based pico de gallo.

Some of the best food I've had in DC (and the only authentic Brazilian we knew of) and service was wonderful! We had the Picanha Grelhada and Moqueca Stew (you have options to pick your own style) and both were incredible.

While it is a little bit pricey, this is one of the few places in the area and really the only place in DC that you can find homestyle Brazilian food. It gets the stamp of authenticity and is run by very nice people. If you're looking for a deal where you can try a little bit of everything then once in a while around certain holidays they will do a great buffet spread. We just recently had their moqueca baiano (coconut fish stew) and we recommend it twice! They also have a nice late happy hour on Sunday.

This meal was great! My boyfriend and I came here for restaurant week and we were not disappointed! The meal was incredible and the highlight for us were the appetizers. We had meatballs and croquettes and they were absolutely perfect!! The sauce had just enough spice and the rest of the food was delightful. For dessert I'd highly recommend the passion fruit mousse, it's so light but flavorful!

The beauty of take-out: you can have your favorite dishes on a single plate, with lots of left-overs, and no-guilt for over ordering. Ordering off of the Yelp app for pick-up was very quick - the meal was ready in 15-20 minutes - well packaged, with an outdoor set-up where CDC guidelines were observed. You cannot go wrong with any of these dishes (please see picture) - they were all delicious and the portions very generous. Am surprised to see this restaurant is not ranked better, given the quality of the produce and execution. The feijoada reminded us of the ones we had in Brazil and we encourage you to try it as well!

We came here for Father's Day weekend and were delighted with the 3-course offering for the set price of $45! This came with our own choice of an appetizer, main course, and a dessert. For the appetizer, I got the chicken and cheese croquettes which were very cheesy and super crispy. Every bite I took had a cheese pull and the chicken was well prepared to provide a layer of flavor that made the croquettes slightly better. We also ordered separate appetizers of the pao de queijo and fried yucca. The pao de queijo are a must try! We had to order 2 of these as we enjoyed the crispy exterior yet soft almost mochi-like interior of the bread so much! The fried yucca was also delightful with how crispy it was and paired well with the sauce, but it wasn't as special as the pao de queijo in my opinion. For the main course, I ordered the Picanha Biro which was very tender with a good char on the steak itself. The cut was thick and I enjoyed the rice that it came with which had bacon and potato sticks for an added crunch. The meat was a lot for me, and I had to get a to-go box for it as it was surprisingly very filling. Lastly, the cheese mousse dessert was also decent. The texture was almost like a firm tofu and wasn't too sweet even with the strawberry/guava sauce. It wasn't my favorite dessert i've tried but it was a nice light end to the entire experience. The experience overall was nice, and I definitely would came back on special holiday/occasions where they provide the 3-course meal offering.

The food is very great with an amazing staff. I have never had any issue in my many visits there and always look forward to going this restaurant.

We really loved the atmosphere of this place. Made reservation for 9... and it was smooth. Appetizers came out perfect as well as the entrees. Without even telling the server, they brought the food out all at the same time which is nice and courteous. They were generous on bringing the bread out to the whole table, as well as refill on drinks and hot water was hassle-free. Staff decorated the interiors very festive to the holiday season, which was nice to see and joyous. Rachel, who seems to be the manager was very personable and had small talk with her. Very polite, wonderful, and likable woman. Everyone was happy with the entree that they ordered and the sides delicious. I'd say the portion of their meal is big.

Nothing fancy, just good, authentic Brazilian cuisine typical of what you'd eat at home, done very well. Highly recommended.

This was my second time at The Grill from Ipanema and it did not disappoint! Last time we had the Brazilian paella and rack of lamb Ava they were both delicious. Probably the best lamb chop I've had in the city thus far. Wanted to try something different this time and order the CALDERADA DE FRUTOS DO MAR COM ARROZ DE COCO (seafood stew) from the chefs specials menu. The seafood portions were great and the coconut cream sauce was rich in flavor. For a to go order, I was very impressed with the portions of the meal. Also impressive was that the coconut rice wasn't your standard coconut milk and rice. It had a lovely savory flavor to it and chunks/slivers of actual coconut which really enhanced the flavor. Was also surprised to see how late they're open too.
