"Quality quaffs in pretense-free digs are lure enough for liquorists to the Guesthouse in Mills 50. By day, the large square bar at the space’s core is bathed in sunlight and potted plants happily photosynthesize around its perimeter. By night, the bar takes on an ethereal complexion as guests purposefully sip between two ferns (or more) and barkeeps swizzle and shake potent potables of the highest order. Out in the back parking lot, an Airstream trailer serving cocktails keeps the party going." - Faiyaz Kara

"The Guesthouse is an airy, bright space with white walls, metal bar stools, and a dramatic backlight bar. There are lots of plants and black-and-white prints, adding to the bohemian, tropical vibe. The small cocktail menu is heavy on well-done classics, like the Army Navy, a blend of gin, orgeat, lemon, and angostura. There's also an extensive (and reasonably priced) wine list that includes some bottles that feel a bit more obscure for central Florida." - Laura Ratliff

"Per the name, The Guesthouse looks and feels like the pool house of someone’s friend who lives in a much cooler neighborhood than you, and will make you wonder, “How can I make my apartment look more like this?” It’s all of this, plus the excellent cocktails, that makes this spot in Mills 50 one of the most popular new bars in the city. You can stop by during their daily Happy Hour from 4-8pm, which includes everything on the menu for half off, and if you want to make a night out of coming here, a few food trucks park outside of The Guesthouse most nights of the week, too." - Maddy Zollo Rusbosin

I visited the Guest House Bar recently and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The treatment I received from the staff was unwelcoming and disrespectful. While ordering drinks, the bartender was dismissive and exhibited racially charged behavior that made my friends and me feel targeted. Despite being polite, we were ignored while others were served, and the situation escalated quickly. Eventually, we were escorted out by security, seemingly at the bartender's request, without any justification. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and speaks volumes about the bar's environment. I would not recommend the Guest House Bar to anyone who values respect and equality. It's unfortunate that such incidents still happen, and I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service in the future.

Some places just find the right fit! The guesthouse is one of them. From the very first visit, the accessible ambiance created the feel of a Sunday afternoon in an old Florida hideaway of yesteryear. The happy Hour is terrific and the mixologists are top notch! The Guesthouse is a great way to begin an evening on the town!

What a cool atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday evening with a small group & sat at the bar. Love the vibe, very romantic dim lighting. Drinks were fun & cute. Which we chose for the experience and pictures. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks they had to offer. Location was clean Parking was tough if you wanted to park easy.

I had an excellent experience with Alex (Bartender). Alex customer service was not only exceptional, but she provided a thorough experience. Alex was very prompt and professional. Alex ensured all my questions were answered and went the extra mile to make the process smooth. I’ll definitely return because of the experience provided by Alex.

I walked into this place expecting to have to spend a small fortune just to get a shot and a beer, but to my amazement they had an entire section of their menu dedicated to reasonably priced boilermakers. The house cocktails are also well priced at 10 to 12. I expected something closer to 15 as soon as I walked into the place. I subtracted a star because it is obnoxiously dim lit in the place. If I wanted a power outage simulation, I'd stay at home, turn my lights out, and fire up some candles. Because that's basically how things are here. If I can't even read a newspaper or book at the bar, there simply isn't enough light. Also, some others have mentioned the bartenders being rude. I didnt experience that at all and would assume it was a very specific experience, and not worth considering.
