Note to the management. My family has been going to this location since it opened. This was our go to place for a good quick pick up meal. Tonight, we were busy and ordered pickup. It had been about 6 months since our last visit. First thing I noticed was the platters seemed not as full as they usually do with the top cover usually touching the top of the contents. The bread was hard as cardboard . The portions were smaller than I remember for a small platter. Also the beef had small tiny pieces, mixed with some thick chunks. Don’t know if anyone else has noticed any changes.

4 stars just because of how expensive my meal was.. My first time here and I was impressed with the flavors Fresh and tasty pita bread. It was all good !

Alexandra and Madeline are sweet and lovely ladies. They listened, deal and take care of their customers very nicely 🙌 Thankful I chose this for dinner today.

Used to eating Mediterranean food (gyros w/ tatziki sauce, etc…). Figured I’d give this place a try via Door Dash. Underwhelmed, to the point of feeling cheated. Would not recommend unless you specifically like the combination of rice, gyro meat and white sauce (whatever that is - tastes like mayonnaise)

You must try the chicken wings. I forgot the name of the person who served me and my family, but he was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Simple hospitality truly increases the value of both the service and the atmosphere.

The place reminds me of New York style food places. It has a buffet and different size of bowls. The food it's tasty and very fresh. The space it's a bit limited, so if you have groups bigger than 4 this may not be your place. It also has a couple of tables outside. The place is perfect just to get a quick bite of good Mediterranean food with a friend or in my case my brother, but it's more like a fast chain than a sit in restaurant. They do take out and delivery apps, so you can try that too! If you are looking for a date spot or variety on the food you may one to try something else.

First time going to this place, the employee was really nice and explained to me how the platter gets ordered. I had the 🍗 chicken and 🥩 shawarma platter. It was really good. For drink I had the passion fruit lemonade. It was very good as well. Place was very clean, great food, awesome employees. I will definitely be back 👍

Used to love this place but the last few visits have been incredibly inconsistent in quality of meat, portions, and the “white sauce”. Portions used to be more generous than the infamous Chipotle but the last few visits they have been stingy as heck - despite prices going up! The quality of the beef was always inconsistent - too chopped up, dried out and crispy bits, with oily remnants. The portions used to make up for this but now it’s not worth it. Lastly, they changed the recipe of the white sauce. It has become stark white and less flavorful in the new packaging. Today they ran out of the packets and whatever was squeezed onto my platter was watery and lacked the usual flavor. We used to go once a week but with these changes it will be a long time before we return. Staff are always nice and pleasant though so service has never been an issue.

Order the plater - no taste what so ever outside of the humus. I have had better. First and last time going The only other good thing was the employee. Very polite

Picked up my food and ordered five bowls only one of them was ok. The rice and pita was so stale. It taste like it was from lunch and never replaced. The rice is so hard and not edible. But I called to complain the worker was nice I just wanted my food remade she told me the boss will call me back but what am I supposed to do with the food my kids won't even eat it. Will not support this place

The worst customer service and rudest staff. Do not go here. Rude and badly trained staff will ruin your business. Snide and belittling staff members who behave like they do not want to be there makes me not come here.

Halal Guys has the best food!!!! I love the food!! The gyros, rice and white sauce are absolutely delicious, I just love that tasty white sauce, gyros and rice Service as always is really good and never had any issues with the employees or never complained about bad service or anything! Ordered the shawarma bowl and was disappointed to find that the meats were not as well marinated or fresh as I had hoped. The chicken was dry and lacked the savory, bold flavors that I expect from a good shawarma. The white sauce was needed to bring out the flavours more. The vegetables were also wilted and lacked the crispness and freshness that I was looking for. The service was quick but seating was tight. The ambiance was ok. I was expecting a flavorful and satisfying meal, but instead I was left with a bland and unappetizing experience. It was clear that the meats had not been properly marinated, and as a result, they were dry and lacked the bold and robust flavors that are characteristic of a good shawarma.

This place just hits the spot!! Halal guys platters are so amazing and flavorful!! They serve middle eastern cusine.. We always get the combo platter (chicken and beef) on lettuce, with onions and bell peppers. But they usually serve with lettuce, rice, tomatoes, olives, onions, bell peppers, Jalapenos and pita bread! (You can choose what you want).. Their white sauce is just sooo good that we always end up asking them for more.. And their red sauce is super spicy, so drizzle it at your own risk! P.s. if you download their app and scan it when you buy the platter, after certain points you can get free fries and drinks!! Also, they are open for dine in, take out and delivery till 10pm!! I was hanging out with my dad in the hospital at Presbyterian in Plano, and I got super hungry... So I thought "Why not see what's nearby on Uber Eats!" I've tried other locations of The Halal Guys and enjoyed it so I decided to order a beef gyro platter with baba ghanoush, olives, extra protein, and 2 pieces of falafel. First off - it got there FAST. Of course part of this is having an efficient Uber Eats driver, but it also means the restaurant was quick to prepare it - so that was awesome. When it arrived, it smelled DELICIOUS. The extra meat was really piled on there; there was also a healthy serving of the lettuce & tomatoes, rice, olives, and baba ghanoush. They did not skimp at all. I added my red and white sauces, mixed up the plate a bit and ohhhhhh yeah it hit the spot! If you're in the area please check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Came here with my sister a couple days ago and wow delicious. We both got the falafel bowl. The team was so nice and they made the food super quick. The bowl was divine and once we finished It we were already craving more! Highly recommend !

I came to Halal Guy's recently to try the food even after I saw the lackluster reviews on Yelp. This is because I've gotten a ton of orders from here as an UBER eats driver, and each delivery, the food's smell was irresistible, so I finally brought myself to try it. I ordered the Gyro platter, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It had a nice balance of veggies meats and rice and the sauce was actually really good. The guy who served our food was nice and was wearing a mask and gloves as he should be. He was even considerate enough to add a tiny bit of their insanely spicy hot sauce because he knew that people might have a smaller spicy tolerance. Overall I would come back again and I would say this is a solid restaurant to go to for a quick bite

Halal Guys Dallas, you're making the chain look bad. No wonder the place was empty. That was the most TASTELESS experience I've ever had with food. Even the beverage had no flavor. The only thing that did have flavor were the onion, peppers, and olives. Houston, we have a problem here. Call the Guys in Houston and have them show you how it's done. PLEASE!!!! You can't go on with that non-flavored food.

I've been a sucker for Halal Guys ever since I've had the original in NYC back in the day. There's something about that combo of rice, chicken, lamb, lettuce and tomatoes that just hits the spot. Oh and of course the white and red sauce... Nom nom nom. I could bathe in that white sauce... Portions are solid and everything is fresh and reasonably priced So happy there's several of these Halal Guys out here in Dallas! The staff here is friendly, and everything has always been clean. Plus they are open for takeout orders still so check them out!

I love halal guys but this was my least favorite trip I have had! The meet was not as flavorful as normal and I got hummus on the side, the size of the hummus they give you is huge but they only Give one pita with it which is not very much.

Needed to splurge tonight so I got a combo meat platter to go. Really nice staff. The food was good and fresh. Only complaint was my pita bread was hard. But I just soaked it up in sauce and it got soft. The cookies looked amazing but I didn't try it.

Only thing the same as the NY experience is the sauce, otherwise the beef is often in a pool of oil, could be more crisped, and the chicken tastes like something you buy pre-cooked from Costco. They need to do better.

We normally live this place! Tonight we placed an Uber Eats order as I had just gotten back in town from a business trip, and our order arrived packed with NO Sauce. None. Nothing. So incredibly disappointing.

Great customer service and the portion size is always hefty! Delicious food and will come back again.

1.5 star real rating. Food was good, online ordering was sub par. I paid 3 bucks for about 3/4 of an ounce tahini. I used their app so I complained about being over charged and just got a blanket email with a customer service number to call. Can't recommend this place.

My first time eating Halal Guys..I asked the manager what to order. I just wanted hummus & chicken. My 2nd time, I ordered the exact same thing the same way the manager advised me to previously. The EXACT SAME WOMAN told me I couldn't order just hummus and chicken!!? Come on....be consistent.

Cold, salty, greasy, expensive. I took one bite, sealed the container, and returned it to the counter. I requested a refund, and the manager took my information and assured me I would be refunded. Days later, no credit back to my credit card. I'll dispute it. As someone who has lived and traveled in Jordan, Syria, Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Dubai, and Greece, I have never tasted a more pathetic attempt at food from the region. The packets of tahini were especially depressing. Ya khasara!

I love Halal Guys I've been to multiple locations in different cities nationwide and always satisfied. But this location does not know how to cook the beef, I've been here multiple times it's super dried out and sometimes crunchy. I keep going back hoping that they will figure it out unfortunately they never do. I still will go back every so often hoping I get the meat the way other locations prepare it.

I am a fan of halal guys and like to try it wherever I go. I was visiting my sister and decided to give it a try. We were greeted promptly upon entering. I got a gyro plate and so did my niece. I felt the serving size of the meat was less than other places, but it was still enough. The food was fresh and tasted yum! The customer service was also good. They were all smiles and very friendly.

My go-to/don't know what I want to eat place. They have large portions that usually last me two meals. I usually order the combo bowl with basically everything in there. The staff is always nice and friendly.

Very unprofessional staff. Walked in and was greeted with a "I'll be right with you" which is fine. I continued to wait while he cut the pita bread. The worker who said he would be right with me goes to the back. Now I've been standing there for 10 minutes. A girl walks out and does not greet me. She instead starts to slam lids and do other things with me standing right there. After about 15 minutes of not being helped I left. Do not go to this location

Im originally from Chicago, i ordered a combo chicken/gyro regular bowl, in around near plano location.I wasnt either impressed or disappointed, it was quick, I however was satisfied. Good quantity for under 10 bucks. Did not consist much of a flavor profile. It was warm, fresh, gyro salty,crispy, flavorful while the chicken was dull, with lack of seasoning. I assume was a good combination together with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The famous white sauce is not to die for, but definitely helps the dish to come together all in one bite. I gave it 3 stars as I heard people kept raving about it, i had high expectations. As I said I was satisfied.

I've never had a more negative experience at a Halal guys than this one. The manager working today was a straight up a-hole to everyone: Customers, his Employees, anyone who walked in the door. Trying not to let one person ruin my whole experience but he was just so mean.

I realize now it's a new location, so it's in a bit of a "grace period", but the staff was fairly clueless. I've been to multiple DFW locations as well as NY and California, so I'm familiar with the food as well as the process. The staff here, however, was not. I was in the area so I stopped in for a quick dinner to go. It was not quick, even though there was only one other customer. Again, learning curve, so that wasn't too big of a deal. I would suggest that the staff figure out what needs to be put in the fryer before they begin making the sandwiches and platters. Both myself and the person in line in front of me had to stand around waiting because they waited until the rest of the order had been completed before cooking the fries and/or falafel. One thing that really irked me was that all 3 members of the staff that were there that night keep pronouncing gyro as j-EYE-ro. Oh no! I know it's a common mispronunciation, but if you're working with the food, know how to pronounce it properly. Then everyone seemed to have no idea as to how to make the platters, how to wrap the gyros, and which toppings have extra charges. One poor guy had a woman (manager, maybe?) calling out "that's extra" for every topping the customer was adding. They also rang that customer up before her order was done, so the fact that she added olives after her order was prematurely closed out was really the staff's fault. They actually did a $0.50 transaction for the olives! I wanted my white and red sauces on the side rather than on my plate since I had a ways to drive and I didn't want it getting too soggy and was told THAT was extra as well. I realize there's a charge if I want extra sauce on the side, but I've never been charged for a packet if I don't get it on my plate to begin with. As far as the food goes, it was pretty good. The gyro meat was a little dry, but had plenty of flavor. The chicken and falafel were great. I'll revisit if I'm in the area, but I'd hope to see some improvement by then. I highly recommend the Lemmon Ave. location though, as it's always been a great experience.

Disappointing. Flavorless food. We were excited to try it, as we love ethnic food, but won't ho back here again. Hummus boring.

Excellent service and I LOVE their new plant-based gyro. It took a little longer but was worth the wait. Their falafels were nice and hot, and they have decent sauces: tzaziki, tahini, a cool white sauce.

So glad I could stop by and try out this place it is a hidden gem great customer service food I'll definitely be back with my colleagues Family you need to try the white sauce and hot sauce it's what they're popular for gotta love the sauce!

Beware the RED SAUCE! This place is awesome! I love the chicken plate, make sure you get extra white sauce. For sweetness, add some a little bbq sauce. This place is just like the New York location, with a much shorter line!

The falafel platter tastes so good and the service was great. I'd come back to this location again.

What in the heck happened to this place. We just got two plates for $25 and the meat was so dry it was crumbles! Literal black crumbles. It was so dry and crumbly it resembled taco meat! Never again...the fact that they served this at all is disgraceful.

This location is excellent in many ways: the friendly staff makes you feel appreciated and welcome, food was ready very quickly and was delicious to the very last bite and the price was more than reasonable for the amount and quality of food served. Negatives? There are none. Enjoyed it and will be back soon...and often!

Delicious! I love how they make their falafel , the Sauce is yummy as well and it doesn't take long to get the order.

Meat was very soggy, i even asked them if that's how it's supposed to look like they assured me that it's normal, which i know for a fact it's not i was giving the leftover meat which is sad but guess what they just lost a customer, if you close your doors at 11pm and i show up at 10:45 I'm expecting to get the same quality food if that's not going to be the case i advise you to look for some other business to bring you income because you will lose a lot of customers , very bad experience for me not going back .

Oh goodness! This is a hidden gem! I wanted to take advantage of my free meal coupon that the manager has given my coworkers and I, and boy am I glad I did! The meats are so tender, the rice is soft and fluffy and the lettuce they use is crisp and fresh! Their white sauce is delicious! Definitely coming back for more.

I love their platters, really delicious and just like the ones you get at the food cart in NYC but without the crazy line. Service was super nice/fast, didn't have to wait. Easy parking as well

The Halal Guys never disappoints. Their hot sauce is amazing and goes great with the falafel. This is my go-to place for a Friday night dinner thats no too heavy.

The food was so amazing. I got the falafel plate and it was so fresh and tasty. They gave me so much food but I still felt light after. And the service was amazing as well. I really appreciate how nice the employees here always are. The hot sauce is also really good, but I recommend getting in the side because it's so spicy. But tbh the hot sauce really good tho.

I just really love this place I always order through Uber or doordash, They're hummus it's super tasty and the baklava yum! I'd love to see that cheesecake and chocolate baklava that I tried in Houston!! Bring it please!!

We had the chicken sandwich and both were totally flavorless! Even the white sauce they used had absolutely no flavor. No...I don't have a problem with my taste buds. We go out every weekend and enjoy trying new places. I'll never go bk here. No seasonings Nothing. A waste of money

We really wanted this to be good! We've never had the original Halal Guys but this place is whack!!! There isn't even a lamb Gyro option! We had the beef and chicken. Both were extremely dry! Instead of offering a Tzatziki or cucumber and yogurt sauce, the "white sauce" provided tastes like mayonnaise. It's awful! Don't waste your time or money. If you're in the area and looking for a Gyro just head over to Little Greek.
