Known for their authentic southern cured hams, these guys make a lot of smoked products, biscuits and more. Small town business that's been around since the late 1960s. Saw them at the Murfreesboro farmer's market and bought some of the bacon made with just pepper and salt. No nitrites, nitrates or msg. Cooked it that night. It was gooooood. Didn't miss the chemicals a bit! If you don't know what southern cured ham is, you've been missing out. They make it the old fashioned way. I hear there are only a handful of businesses in the south that still do it this way. Glad to help a local small business.

Love this place! Last time I went, my country ham and biscuits were much saltier than usual, so I wasn’t too thrilled about that. However, I tried the sausage biscuits for the first time and they were a 5/5 stars!! I also got some apple butter for myself and for Christmas gifts, and it was very good. I plan to go back soon and try their bacon and maybe some other jams. The quality and customer service is excellent. I love this place, and I bet you will too! They have several sizes of ham and biscuits, and sausage biscuits that are pre cooked, ready to eat after thawing. I like them after being microwaved on high about 22 seconds after I’ve let them thaw. Enjoy!! 😋🤤

This place is great! I found a country ham, good bacon, and savory sausage. The ham biscuits are delicious. The gentleman who waited on us was delightful and engaging.

I called the day ahead and picked up 2 packages of their biscuits and THINLY SLICED country ham. It was outstanding! And the guests at my party kept asking where I got them. Some friends from Franklin are coming over to get their own delicious supply!

We highly enjoyed Angel biscuits with sausage and with pork chop. The pineapple flavor was a win in our household. Super easy family morning breakfast for a fast pace mom on the run. Differently going to try the ham next.

We talked to the owner of the shop and he gave us a little tour. Fantastic selection of high end pork products. Prices were fair and products were tasty.

I was genuinely welcomed by a kind man. He helped me decide on what I wanted: giving info on each option. My interactions with Peter were more then delightful, warm, and cheerful. He asked me if I wanted to buy some of his products earlier that day, not because he wanted to sell them but because he wanted to offer his services. I could tell everyone there cared about their work and me. I cooked the sausage this morning. It was delicious and had lots of flavor. But, the service alone will bring me back.

I have been going to the farmer's market for 6 or 7 years now. I have learned since my experience with this company never to use my credit card for purchases there again. I bought 1 small item that I still don't know the exact price for and was charged $9.88. When I called and spoke with Peter, instead of searching for the transaction in his system, he required that I give him my full card information to rerun the whole transaction (including CVV and ZIP code after I had already been overcharged) and only refunded me $5 after the fact. So I ended up paying $4.88 for a sausage and biscuit mini which I still think was more than the cost and with nothing in return for my time and effort dealing with being overcharged. If this were my company, A. I would be more careful charging people's cards (They acted like this was just a small error, I'm wondering how many other people use credit cards and overlook this!) B. I would definitely consider my customer's time if I overcharged them. The man had a smirky attitude on the phone like he was right about everything, so instead of arguing I will just leave my negative review here for others to see. I will continue to support local businesses just not this one and folks be careful sliding your card at the market, especially at the Hammery!

I love the ham biscuits. Great place for meats. Service is friendly. They ship as well.

Yelp
I met the Woods family while I was making a wedding gown for one of their daughters. The brides father, Bob Woods, owner of The Hamery brought me a delicious gift. It was a package of angel biscuits. They were small medallion sized biscuits with the most delicious thinly sliced ham inside that I had ever tasted in my life. I shared it with my husband when I came home and he immediately ordered it for our families. We order every year during our special occasions, and especially the holiday seasons for every family member. We just can't imagine Christmas morning without angel biscuits. Our family from California is crazy about The Hamery and has ordered several products from them throughout the years. I highly recommend The Hamery to everyone. Their products are absolutely delicious. Karen H.

Yelp
In the heart of Murfreesboro there is a magical place called the Hamery. It all started when my BF and I sat down to eat at an establishment in Nashville, and our server gave us a sample of something called "Tennshootoe." It's the best version of prosciutto that I've ever had... smoked and then aged for 2 years and it literally melts in your mouth. The craving for more began, and we were sad to learn it is located in Murfressboro. Curses! After a failed Whole Foods visit, we gave up and made the trip down to Murfreesboro on a Saturday morning. The storefront is small, but the flavor and hams are not. They offer whole hams, sliced ham, frozen biscuits, dog bones, ham hocks, Tennshootoe, preserves, and very awesome (and reasonably priced) gift boxes. For $30 you get the following: * Cooked, 1 package artisan country ham weighing approx. 1 lb * Black-eyed peas (dried) * Artisan country ham hock * Strawberry preserves (1 pint jar) * Honey (6 oz) * Sweet pickles (1 pint jar) And the lovely ladies at the store let us mix and match products (ie chow chow instead of pickles, and different flavor of preserves). If you or your loved ones enjoy ham, you've got to check them out! Its even worth a drive to the 'boro.

Yelp
Wonderful ham and biscuits!!! We love to take into work. Order early and pick up. You can't eat just one!

Yelp
I called on Tue about 2:00. Asked about getting 2 of the 30 packs of biscuits on the next day, Wed. The lady said yes we can do that. I drove from Smyrna to M'boro just for these and when I got there was told they didn't have the 30 packs and weren't taking orders. POOR SERVICE! Offered me 9 packs only.

Yelp
Whatever you do, do NOT order from them online. They ship without including ice packs of any kind. Meaning, we ended up with a $100+ shipment of molded ham. Unbelievable. I can't comprehend what they were thinking to send HAM like this.

Yelp
The real thing. I grew up on a farm, my father cured "country" hams, and this is it. Use Hammery's recipe and bake a whole one, it will provide many meals. I used a cheap meat slicer to sliced it thin for a party recently and served it with Sister Schubert rolls. I messed up and should have made cassoulet with the fat removed before cooking. The hot sausage is also very good. Buy Tennshootoe and wrap asparagus with it. On Saturdays I have also bought locally grown vegetables and beef from other providers. It is somewhat of an event to visit.

Yelp
Staff was smoking at the front door, rude, and their menu had things on it the only served else where. Could be great if they hired professionals.

Yelp
I love the Hamery and am ashamed to say I just "discovered" it, although it's been in business since 1968. I came across an article lauding their prosciutto (called Tennshootoe) and learned all the elite chefs in Nashville are serving it at their restaurants, including Sean Brock of Husk. Coming on the heels of a trip to the Italian countryside where we had the most delectable prosciutto almost daily, I was anxious to see how the Hamery's would compare. I'd attempted to purchase some previously at the grocery store (of a different brand), and it was woefully incomparable. However, the Hamery's was so, so good. Thin, melt in your mouth salty goodness. It was absolutely as good as what we had in Italy, and I'm thrilled to have found a local source for it. The only bad thing about it was trying to show some restraint and not eat the entire package at once! For the quality of prosciutto, I thought it was very reasonably priced at $5 for a quarter pound. I also purchased a pack of 4 slices of biscuit cut country ham for a little over $3. Paired with pecorino cheese with truffles on Italian bread, the result is pure heaven. I will make the Hamery a regular addition to my food shopping, as they offer many other products I'm anxious to try.
