I had an Inkind application promotion where I get 25 dollars off 50. I know this restaurant accepts Inkind, and I have been wanting to try this place out. I called to make a reservation for one on a Saturday evening. I arrived a bit before my 8pm reservation, but I was seated immediately into the dining area. I asked my server for a drink recommendation, and she said many drinks are popular, as well as the Honey Cove (16 dollars). I chose that drink, as well as the shrimp tacos (23 dollars). The tacos came surprisingly quick and before my drink. There were three tacos with an ample amount of plump shrimp, jalapenos, and a spicy slaw. There was a small salsa on the side which added a fresh kick to the tacos without being too spicy. Unfortunately no other sides came with it, which was ok as the tacos were satisfying and there were enough shrimp to make it worth it. The drink came a bit later with an apology from the server as the bar was backed up a bit. I can indeed taste the bourbon from the drink, and slightly the tea as well. I loved how it was presented with a honey scoop and even a bee in the straw. While the drink was a bit strong, it was as expensive as a hotel lobby drink. Same with the banana cream pie for 16 dollars. It was satisfying with banana cream custard and bananas on top of a soft waffle. There was fresh whipped cream and possibly a caramel sauce on top. I am so glad that my server suggested this as it was delicious as well as rich, with some left that I could enjoy at home.
My server was friendly and helpful. She made some nice suggestions from the menu, and as apologized the delay for my drink. The manager also came to see how things were going. The atmosphere is a bit upscale with a small fountain when you enter. The music was dance music loud and audible, but at least I could still hear the patrons. I don't recall seeing outside seating, but there was a nice amount of tables in the dining area, and a small bar. There is also a separate room if you want to have a private event.
The Hampton Social is inside pointe Orlando, so you will have to park at the garage or valet park. Unfortunately, they do not validate parking, so the cheapest is to park in the garage for two hours (5 dollars). This restaurant reminds me of the American Social restaurant nearby, but a bit louder music and more expensive. While the food and drinks are indeed tasty and delicious, the prices could have been a bit cheaper. I think the upscale atmosphere and being in a tourist area can justify the higher prices reasoning. If it wasn't for the Inkind deal, I would have easily spent almost 70 dollars after tips, but thankfully my bill only came about 45 dollars instead. This is a great restaurant to try if you have the money, if someone else is paying, or you have a promotion. Thank goodness they participate in magical dining, so I would visit them again during that period.
