I was really disappointed with my experience at the hart of catering and cafe. One of the staff members was rude and dismissive when I asked about my order, and the overall service was unprofessional. The food didn’t taste fresh, and my meal took far too long to arrive. I expected a pleasant dining experience, but sadly, it fell short in every way.

I had the pleasure of working with Hart of Catering for a special event, and I couldn’t be more impressed! From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, well-prepared, and perfectly executed. The presentation was beautiful, and all of the accoutrements complemented the dishes perfectly. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and it truly elevated the entire event. I would highly recommend Hart of Catering to anyone celebrating a milestone birthday, shower, or wedding. They really go above and beyond, ensuring that everything is perfect. If you want top-notch food and service, Hart of Catering is the way to go!

My wife and I used The Hart of Catering recently for our rehearsal dinner for ~30 people. The food was excellent. Multiple people told us afterward how much they liked everything, too. The staff did a great job organizing and setting up for the dinner as well. On top of the food, Tiffany was incredibly helpful from the beginning when we reached out for a quote up until when we were finalizing the count a couple weeks before the dinner. She answered all our questions and was easy to work with throughout.

The Hart of Catering is my go-to for off-premise catering at the coworking space I manage in Center City. Kevin, Bernard, and their team are always super accommodating and easy to work with, and the food is always a hit with everyone! Whether it’s a small meeting or a big event, they always deliver great service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

I recently hired The Hart of Catering & Cafe for a special event, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with any catering company. From the very beginning, nothing went smoothly. The food tasted bland and wasn’t fresh, and several dishes were either cold or overcooked. For the price they charge, the quality was completely unacceptable. The presentation was sloppy, and the lack of organization was obvious throughout the event. Communication was poor — it felt like the team wasn’t paying attention to even the simplest details. After this experience, I’ve completely lost confidence in Hart of Catering. I won’t be using their services again, and I’ll be honest with friends and family about how poorly things went. I expected a professional, high-quality service, but this company The Hart of Catering & Cafe failed to deliver in every way.

AMAZING!!!!! We used hart of catering for our wedding and it was the best decision ever!!!!! Everyone was raving about how good the food was, the coordination was perfect, the staff was so friendly from bartenders to servers!!!!! 10/10 couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our special day!!!!

I was really disappointed with my experience at The Hart of Catering & Cafe. The food took far too long to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and lacked flavor. The staff seemed disorganized and not very attentive — I had to ask multiple times just to get water refilled. The place looked nice from the outside, but the service and quality didn’t live up to expectations. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.

Such a great vibe! Loved the purple aesthetic, and everyone was so friendly and easygoing. The coffee was a 10/10, and the ambiance was both fancy and classy!

Enjoyed a lovely business lunch at The Hart of Catering & Cafe. The menu was varied, the clientele was diverse, and service (both at the counter and the table) was helpful and kind. I greatly enjoyed the "MYP" Pita with tuna salad. Next time, I'll need to try some of the delicious looking baked goods on display at the front (where you check out).

I had such a wonderful lunch here. The ambiance was very relaxed; seems like quite a lot of neighborhood people stop by here for coffee, and quick bites. The service was really friendly and efficient. I ordered Hard to Forget (broccoli rabe and chicken sandwich), and my daughter ordered breakfast burrito. Both were very delicious, I actually want to go back soon to try their other sandwiches. They give you plenty of food, and their prices are very reasonable. They also make good coffee so this place is a true gem. I also heard they do a lot of ministry type of services like cooking for the homeless, etc. I would support this type of business any day.

I went to The Hart of Catering and Cafe this morning. Everything I had was delicious and fresh. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Matthew was very nice, personable and full of suggestions. Thank you Matthew for being so nice and helpful. While Matthew went to the back to pick up something I ordered, another employee came quickly to offer assistance. That was very nice! I had the Farro Breakfast Bowl and an amazing chocolate chip and cinnamon cake. Next time I'm in town I will definitely stop by again.

I wanted a catered casual lunch at my church in between the regular service and the memorial service. The church administrator suggested I try The Hart of Catering. It was beyond wonderful. The food was delivered DURING the service, through a side door. Absolutely not a sound was heard. All the food and equipment that I had requested was there. And THEN some! It was all set out very conveniently and attractively. A simple menu: rolls, bread, lettuce, tomatoes, "lunch meats', fruit and vegetable platters. The food was exquisite: crispy fresh romaine lettuce; juicy tomatoes;, yummy (not your standard) pickles; OMYGOD the chips! The best chips I've EVER tasted; the fruit and salad trays EXQUISITE and completely ripe; Two kinds of American cheese; and THE BEST COLD CUTS I'VE EVER EATEN. The roast beef melted in my mouth. The ham was just on the right side of spicy, the chicken as if it had just come off the bird, Totally delicious. (the surprise chicken salad that came in quart-size bowls on the meat platters was excellent, but I just couldn't get over the roast beef....) You can be sure that The Hart of Catering will continue to be the choice of my nearby church, and that I'll try out the cafe asap!!.

Went into the cafe yesterday for lunch ordered their "Easy to Love Panni" the young man at the register although very nice was very overwhelmed. There were under 10 people in the cafe eating.I finally got my panni which as you know should at the very least should be warm if not hot. I walked a block and half back to my office and sat down to eat. The panni was ice cold like it was frozen and defrost but not put into a panni press or warmed. The mayo pesto was hard. I had to put this into a toaster oven for a few mins. I reason they got 3 stars is because the bread and chicken were delicious. Not sure I will venture back to this place again.

Had an all-day rehearsal down the street and we needed a convenient place for brunch. Others had eggy dishes but I had a scrumptious quinoa bowl and followed it with a treat named for the pastry chef's mother - also delicious! All the service staff are friendly and helpful (customized my bowl, split our check, etc.).

Lovely neighborhood gem. Been there about 10 times already. Food is consistently well seasoned (a rarity at a cafe) which tells me someone is really paying attention in the kitchen. Basic dining room, but it is super clean...in fact while you are there, you'll probably see the staff cleaning in their spare time. Looking forward to the next time already.

Lovely place! Worthy inheritor if Day by Day's establishment. Coffee cake excellent, fried chicken and waffles, also turkey thanksgiving sandwich all great! Nice people! Sometimes they're a bit overwhelmed so be patient! It's worth it!

We had Hart cater breakfast and lunch for my daughter's wedding. The food was fresh and tasty. Kevin responded to our inquiry immediately. He is friendly and professional. I trusted him right away. DJ delivered and set up both meals. He was fantastic! He even refused my tip (I made him take it) I would recommend The Hart of Catering highly. Thank you Kevin and DJ for making my daughter's wedding day even better!

My company uses The Hart of Catering for some of our Tuesday Lunches in office. The food is always really good and fresh, and I LOVE the pasta salad and chips!! Very delicious!

Service is great and accommodating for food allergies etc. Place is spotlessly clean. Have eaten here a few times for both breakfast and lunch and food was fresh, hot and tasty. It's still quiet but imagine once word gets out, it will get super busy. Coffee is great as it's LaColombe.

Just got back to my office and I had to give this place a shoutout. I decided to go on a walk today for my lunch break and stumbled upon this new cafe. Absolutely SO CUTE inside, the staff was super welcoming & fun, and not to mention the food was delicious. I don't leave reviews often, but this is absolutely my new go to lunch spot. Highly recommend!

Incredible food served with love and an unprecedented attention to detail.. Super clean dining space and kitchen (which you can see through the windows of the side street) and unparalleled customer service!!. Definitely returning here like TOMORROW!.

Absolutely great brunch! Eggs done to perfection. Spacing is nice- and sun streaming in windows! What a wonderful surprise to have brunch without the hassles. Have been here twice and will be back soon.

Kevin has catered a few work events since he opened last year. He catered my holiday party in December for 400 people and it was spectacular. From the food to the holiday decor on the tables, everything was top notch. I had emails from tenants for the next several days asking for the caterers contact info. Everything was fresh and made in house. Kevin and his team are very professional and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure my events were showstoppers. Thanks Kevin and team!

Honestly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time! I work in the city and am always looking for a nice spot to stop for lunch, this is my new go to. The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and the food was fantastic! Can't wait to go back!

the front and neither of the servers at the counter were familiar with the menu or able to answer basic questions. They never brought us our drinks and never refilled our water until we were done. We were there for quite a long time because they forgot to put in one of our sandwiches but didn't even notice because they never came back to check on us. It was a grilled Brie and turkey sandwich. When they finally brought it out there were just chunks of cold, hard, Brie on the sandwich not melted it really was inedible - cold Brie is not a thing. They never asked how the food was and didn't acknowledge that they served a cold sandwich when they cleared the plate that was largely uneaten. When we went to pay they attempted to charge us for the drinks they never brought. Service and food was terrible this time and none of the staff it owner seemed to care or acknowledge that there was some kind of issue, which was evident because other tables seemed to be having an equally bad experience. This place had promise but the total lack of care by the staff and owner who just disappeared in the back is why I would not recommend this place nor return.
