The Hat

We had a great first-time experience eating pastrami chili cheese fries at The Hat. I was full after 8 bites, and the three of us could only finish two-thirds of it. Taste wise, the fries and chili could use a little more salt, in my opinion. But overall, it's just a big messy combination of carb and calorie unfriendly goodness. Pastrami sandwich was great, loads of Pastrami Location in Temple City was almost deserted when we arrived at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon. Got busier afterward.

Was delicious. The portions are giant. We got a bag full of fries when ordering a medium and the burger needed to be cut in half to consume. Definitely worth a try. Inside was clean and old school looking. Overall happy with the Hat.

I’ve recently fallen in love with their double cheeseburger. It’s honestly the best burger I’ve probably had in my whole life. It’s been so good that I’ve been going back quite a bit because I’ve just never liked a burger that much. BUT tonight was the absolute best it’s ever been! Whoever was cooking, thank you so much!! You just made my entire night. I can’t see myself ever going anywhere else for that experience. A special shoutout to their chili cheese fries with pickles & tomatoes, it’s such an unexpected yet fantastic combo. I’ve been missing out on such amazing food for too long, and you shouldn’t either. I’d add a picture, but my burger was too delicious and fresh to snap a picture.

Absolutely love this place! For those who love pastrami its a Haven!!! I ate their tuna sandwich, which was fresh and pleasant in many ways. Service is great in a way that whatever you ask them they are eager to accomodate.

I was close by to this restaurant while at a work training and it was a solid choice. I ordered their pastrami dip and it was amazingly delicious. It’s tempting to get another sandwich but one was good. I got to eye hungry and also ordered the pastrami chili cheese fries. Be aware that the chili cheese pastrami fries is humongous and can probably feed three people comfortably. Get the gravy on the side because that was also really good to dip your chili cheese fries into some brown gravy. I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items.

Ordered the Pastrami Dip. Decent portion for one person. Plenty of pastrami in the sandwich. Not too salty, not dry. Would have wanted a few more pickles in there but it was good as it is. Mustard was not fairly light so it didn't drown out anything else. Would want to try one of the fry sides sometime as they looked pretty interesting. Location is pretty convenient, plenty of space to park and sit inside or outside. The transparency of the kitchen is nice to see what's going on and service is very quick.

Was referred by a friend and was super happy to try this place. Awesome pastrami sandwiches and onion rings. The pastrami fries is enough for four people, no question. Reasonably priced and was served quickly.

The Hat is famous for ALL its delicious food and that extends even to their Jr. Burger! They will happily customize it and it's a great option if you're not a big eater OR if you want to be able to tackle their epic" loaded" Chili Cheese Pastrami Fries. NOTE: This location has indoor seating...good when the weather is bad. Otherwise..the Original "The Hat" is also our go-to place. Just as good..even better... being a historic spot. Enjoy! One other comment...we had a delicious burger and fries with iced tea for MUCH less than the same at our local McD...and we are not missing it! The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the dining area is spotless.
