Overall the good was good not great. At the price point it was not good enough to return. The steak and the chicken tasted ok. The lobster was fine. Nothing blew me away and nothing stood out as a must have of the mains. The apps were better than the mains. All that being said , the service was outstanding and the restaurant is nice. If you want decent food with excellent service this a good choice.

As a wedding / event photographer, I have the opportunity to work at many venues across the city, but my experience at Tjhe Henri was truly outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly professional, kind, and accommodating—not just to the couple and guests, but also to vendors like myself. Their seamless coordination and attention to detail made the day flow beautifully. The rooftop event space was stunning, offering fantastic view of the landmarks of the national capital and an elegant city backdrop for portraits and candid moments. It was the perfect balance of modern charm and sophistication. During the dinner portion of the evening, I was especially impressed by the ambiance and layout of the private dining space. The service team moved effortlessly and made sure every guest felt taken care of, while allowing me the freedom and access to document the moments authentically. On our way out after the coverage, they generously prepared to-go dinner packages for us. This was an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that allowed us to experience firsthand the incredible cuisine The Henri is known for. It was a delicious way to end a fantastic evening. Henri is not only a culinary gem but also a photographer’s dream venue in the heart of DC. I’m genuinely looking forward to returning for future events!

The Henri is a nice balance between cozy and modern, creating a comfortable yet stylish atmosphere. Service was on point — our server was attentive and always nearby when we needed something. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the food to the cocktails.

Belgium (former owner) and French (executive chef) influence can be easily felt throughout the dishes. Each dish, is refined, flavorful and well prepared. The cocktails were original and delicious. As a Frenchman, I was most impressed by the snail croissant. I would have never expected this dish to work, but it did, it was incredible and would return to this establishment just for this particular appetizer. The other dishes were delicious. Although the lamb shank was good, it was on the verge of being dry. However, the polenta and jus that came with it totally made up for it. If you order that dish, ask for a little extra jus, as it was incredibly flavorful and elevated the whole dish. The service was impeccable, our waiter was attentive and made sure that we would not miss our show time at the theater across the street. The reason I took two stars away was partly due to the chairs. They were quite uncomfortable, and if you have a coat, you cannot put it on the back of the chair due to their roundness and design. I also wish the tables were a tad larger as it was a bit tight to share dishes. Finally, a quirky thing happened: I ordered an Armagnac as an after dinner drink. What came out was an Italian, clear colored grappa. I had to argue and request to see the bottle just to confirm that I was indeed, right… Our waiter did not charge us for the inconvenience.

Google
My only quibble with the whole dining experience is with the descriptions in the menu. And perhaps that's by design to either have a conversation with your waiter or be pleasantly surprised. The description for Venison is so vague that the last thing I was expecting was a meat stew with red wine, but with a French/Belgium bistro menu, I should have known better or at least asked questions. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised, and for a take on Beof Bourguinon, they did an outstanding job. Venison being a lean meat, this still melted in my mouth with the carrots cooked two ways, braised with the meat fork tender, and young baby, multi-colored carrots that were cooked more al dente. Our waiter was outstanding. The bar staff was stellar. I truly have no room for complaints nor want for improvement. If anything, we need to come back to try some things from the rotisserie menu.

This place is amazing! We stopped in for a bite to eat and thought it would be a fancy, overpriced, okay meal. We were pleasantly surprised!!! The food was amazing!!! It was Valentines Day, so there was a set menu that we were skeptical about. There were limited vegetarian options on the menu (my friend on a vegetarian journey), but Julian, our waiter, captured our hearts from the beginning with his passion for the menu! He recommended drinks based on our taste and took over the bar after the bartender made our drinks incorrectly. His menu selections fit our palets perfectly. Everything was flavorful and left us wanting more. My one criticism is that we were still hungry after our meals.

Great spot for dinner before a show at Warner Theater or, a quick ride-share from the Kennedy Center. Most people were dressed casually or business-casual from work. The food was scrumptious. We had the shredded brussel sprout salad appetizer, pork porterhouse, lamb, lemon orange custard and more. Everything was great.

Google
Fantastic and comfortable place with amazing traditional food but with a modern flavor. We enjoyed everything we got! The desert was my favorite Orange and lemon custard with cardamon meringue! The pumpkin Beignets were also wonderful!

Yelp
This is THE spot for happy hour if you are way down town, waiting for a show at the Theater or just want a cool, vibey and friendly bar to hang at. I was waiting for a show at the Warner Theater on a cold winter evening and remembered attending a Yelp event here in mid 2023. A well lit bar area is framed by towering glass windows and views of their wine storage....perfect. Me and 3 friends took over the corner of the chic bar and were greeted with some of the best hospitality I've experienced since before the pandemic. The bar bites were a mix of charbroiled oysters in butter, cauliflower tempura, lamb kebabs and maryland crab (egg) rolls. I don't know what the thread is here except maybe tasty! at under $10 for bites, we effectively ordered one of everything and it acted as our pre-theater dinner (pro-tip, they also have a theater dinner menu to get you in and out before your show). Everything was wonderfully savory, well seasoned and presented beautifully. The open kitchen plan let's you see the magic happening if you so choose and everything came out quickly. The happy hour drinks were also $10 and had the options for wine (two sparklings, two reds, two whites, all excellent regions and years), beer and two cocktails, the Henri and a house cocktail which happened to be a marg that night. Our bartender was Geo and he was amazing (there were actually two that tag teamed). They kept the water and drinks flowing and everything was delicious. I actually was going to initially give this place 4.5 stars but as I wrote this review....I was like...NO...this place is AWESOME! Happy hour winner in Penn Quarter!!

Yelp
1) Service was surprisingly too slow and inattentive for this type of restaurant - waited for 30 minutes to place an order and another 30 minutes just to get appetizers. Our waiter was solely focused on a bigger group sitting across from us. We were totally abandoned (4 of us) - had to flag a hostess to place an order and follow up on our order status later on. 2) Food was good though. But not worth waiting for an hour if you are hungry.

Yelp
Located between the Warner Theater and the National Theater, The Henri (which use to be Chef Geoff) hands down was the perfect place for my company to host our holiday dinner. We were located in both the "Summer" and "Autumn" rooms that were absolutely beautiful rooms. Now because this was our holiday dinner my company spared no expenses when it came down to literally everything lol. Upon entering we were greeted with a glass of champagne. During the cocktail hour, passed hors d'oeurves included Tequenos, Truffle Croque and Lobster Bisque all were cooked and seasoned to perfection. For dinner, the starter was the Endive salad (which surprisingly I thoroughly enjoyed since I am not normally a fan of blue cheese). For the main courses, we got to choose from the Beef Tenderloin, Vol-Au-Vent and Crab cake. From the reviews from my colleagues, I'll say that no matter which option you chose, they were all a good choice! By the time dessert came a lot of us were good and full but we had to make sure we topped of the evening with something sweet. The options were between the Dame Blance or the assorted Cheese plate. Again, no matter which one you selected you weren't going to be disappointed. So glad that I had the opportunity to visit The Henri for the evening. From ambiance, to service, to delicious food I can promise you that I will be back. I also want to give Kristin G. a major s/o! She was so patient, kind, helpful and the only reason why this evening was as amazing as it was. Thank you for all of you for everything Kristin, and thank you for making it a special evening for our company!

Yelp
I came here for happy hour with some friends. I really liked the Henri cocktail. It was sweet and strong. The bar snacks I had were also great. The Maryland crab rolls were crispy and delicious. The oysters were also amazing. They tasted really good with the crispy topping and garlic butter. The bartender was also friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a nice ambiance.

Yelp
What a fun spot for a little drink and snack! Super vibey whether you're dining in or catching a quick fix. With dim mood lighting, elevated ambiance, and plenty of seats and space - you can enjoy the vibe here in many ways. They've got some inexpensive but super tasty bar snacks and very friendly and fun bartenders who can make you whatever you're in the mood for. They've got an excellent espresso martini, and even some mocktail options! I recommend the tequenos specifically for the yummy avocado creama

Yelp
Located between two theaters in downtown DC: Warner Theatre and National Theatre. The 3 hours parking validation claimed on the official website turned out to be a joke. We paid the full price anyway because the National Place Parking garage attendant told us that they didn't have any agreement with the restaurant. We booked for an early dinner at 5 pm. We were the only customers so it was pretty quiet. The service was polite, attentive and reserved. The prices were on the higher end. The food was fine. We ordered: 4.5*LAMB MEATBALLS with lentilles du puy salad, cherry tomatoes, whiskey barrel aged soy dressing: good portion and delicious meatballs. 4*ASPARAGUS / flemish style, egg mimosa, italian parsley: very light and healthy. 4.5*POTATO - SALMON / crispy potato cake, salmon caviar, sour creme, chives: 4*PEI MUSSELS with white wine, mustard, parsley, shallots, and leeks: light flavor yet good. 4.5*PORCHETTA / grilled broccolini, preserved lemon jus: the pork was crispy and tasty chop. 4*HALLOUMI BURGER / heirloom tomato, basil custard, arugula: colorful and appealing presentation, a light entree. 4*ROTISSERIE CHICKEN / chimichurri, roasted baby carrots: decent portion md taste. 4*BELGIAN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE with raw cacao beans and a thin layer of fleur de sel: a small portion of pretty rich chocolate mousse. 3*STRAWBERRY BEIGNET / fried doughnut, lemon sugar: per normal and nothing fancy.

Yelp
The restaurant is nice. The service was good. The good was terrible. Left most of on tbe plates. Would recommend trying another one of the many great other options in DC.

Yelp
Happened to walk into this place after seeking a happy hour place. Great last minute find. We sat in the bar area in the curved bench area. The pillows were a nice touch. Very cozy, clean and open space. Decor was modern, yet welcoming vibe. Cocktail - DC Proud was good. If you have egg allergies, ask to remove it. Menu didn't indicate it, but top foam was egg whites. Would I get the cocktail again, absolutely. Food - ordered off bar menu since we were there mainly to chat over drinks. Lamb kabab - a bit chewy, yogurt sauce on bottom of plate was fine, size of lamb balls was fine, but the texture of it was off, for me. Frites - how could you go wrong, just enough crunch and heat. Fried cauliflower- too much batter for me Cod sliders - too bready for me, could use more crunch/pickle or pickled onion, lettuce Forget the name, but the fried cheese wrap was delicious. Must eat it while it's hot though. We ordered two. Looking forward to going back. Loved the decor of the bar area.

Yelp
5 stars for a solid downtown restaurant. It is funny how life goes sometimes. I was at an event at The Henri, located near the Metro Center stop, that turned out to be more of a cocktail hour (good in-house cocktails btw) than a food event. I was a bit disappointed and about to go across the street to Mastros, but I was already at the venue and the menu and interior looked pretty nice, so I decided to grab dinner. I took a seat on the right side of the venue at a bar-type seating where you can watch the chefs cook and the rotisserie happen. A young man and a more experienced waiter waited on me for the meal, and both of them were quite excellent. The young man indicated that he had started working at the venue due to liking the food so much, so he was able to give me recommendations. The more experienced waiter made excellent small talk and ensured the meal experience moved along well. Glad to have such a solid pairing. I started my meal with the recommended endive salad, and oh my gosh was it fantastic. The cashews and purple mustard dressing paired perfectly with the rather large salad and made for a quite filling and delicious bite (that I wouldn't have even thought to try without the recommendation). Soon afterwards, my veal schnitzel came out and was also quite solid. It was very hot (temperature wise) due to coming straight off the grill. The mushrooms were great and the almond sauce made for a perfect compliment to the dish. I love it when a chef puts vision into a menu item and the kitchen executes that vision. Overall, The Henri provided me with some great food and service to compliment the beautiful venue. I'm glad I stayed at the venue to eat, and I will definitely give this spot a look for dinner again the next time I'm with friends in the area.

Yelp
We were here recently to celebrate my husband's birthday. Absolutely impressed by the ambiance and the service! Great location, but they can do well with the marketing and advertisements. We had a cocktail named as The Henri. It's pretty similar to manhattan. It was very good. For food, we went with our severs recommendations. For appetizers we had lamb sausage and octopus potato salad. Both of these dishes were very good. Octopus was nicely cooked and not chewy at all. For entree, I had the hen cooked in their famous rotisserie called the poussin. Hen was nice and moist with lots of flavors. My husband had the Maryland crab with some spinach. Entrees were delicious as well. Crab cakes tasted fresh. Nobody likes fishy crab cakes. We absolutely enjoyed our dinner here. Service was phenomenal. I Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
We had an enjoyable restaurant week lunch. A limited menu but everything was delicious including the Belgium chocolate mousse. I love the decor and atmosphere of The Henri. Service was excellent. They have several rooms for Private functions. A nice bar area for the Henri happy hour. A nice place for a pre-theater meal.

Yelp
The Henri was a great stop next to downtown theaters with easy access menus, pre-show selections for those in a rush, and a great selection for those looking for a chill evening. My crew stayed for a nice sit down meal. I didn't give it five stars because of two minor things: the service felt like they were rushing us through (expected given it's location near the theater) and the price of the cowboy steak was way too high for its quality. All in all, if you're looking for a filling, pre-show meal this is a great option!

Yelp
We walked in The Henri and headed for the bar but we just missed The Henri Hour, which occurs daily from 4-6pm and featured discounted drinks - $5 select beers, $6 select wines by the glass, $10 select cocktails, and $15 select champagne. The bar snacks menu consisted of appetizers under $10 including Maryland Crab Rolls, Blue Point Oyster, Lamb Kebab, Belgian Fritte, Bonnet Cauliflower Tempura, Chicken Sliders Trio, and Tequenos. My friend Rebecca enjoyed The Henri, Maryland Crab Rolls, and Blue Point Oyster. My friend J.J. enjoyed a beer and Belgian Fritte, which consisted of crispy fries tossed in truffle salt served with ketchup and mayo. I enjoyed the Halekulani cocktail, which consisted of Overproof whiskey, orange, pineapple, and angostura, shaken, and served in a coupe cocktail glass, and Blue Point Oysters, which consisted of 1/2 dozen oysters grilled with a light garlic butter and topped with crispy thin potato sticks.

Yelp
Came in late for our reservation after getting stuck in traffic, tight on time before our theatre tickets. Our server quickly brought out drinks and a few apps, stayed conscious of the clock and got us out the door on time. Everything was delicious.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
My recommendation is for a very specific thing: happy hour before the theater. Go get a Manhattan and the Belgian frites!
google avatar

Jordan N.

Yelp
Huge classy modern space inside, good for large parties. And good for happy hour or downtown outings. Food is great - tasty and of quality, and so are the drinks. The Henri namesake cocktail is great and so is the Halekulani cocktail. I had bar snacks of lamb skewers and Maryland crab rolls. Do keep in mind however that the bar snacks are tiny portions. Everyone else in the large party enjoyed their orders too. Staff was professional and friendly in my personal experience as well - friendly smiles all around alongside with prompt service.

Yelp
First of all, I went to prefaces with saying that I worked in a four-star restaurant, when I first moved to DC and rarely that I see service like what we provided. The Henri is inception. Water glasses never empty. Never left wondering where your server is or about your food. It doesn't matter how bisy they are. stopped in for preheater and wasn't interested in three courses. The rotisserie chicken was one of the best I've ever had was a little surprised the fries came with no dipping sauce,, but I'm sure if I asked for something I would've been provided: and I don't mean to cketchup, I'm not going just based on my experience. I dined alone and watched all the activity in the restaurant; all were well attended. Definitely need to give us a try.
google avatar

Ry F.

Yelp
Ambience very nice and staff also attentive and nice. Bone marrow was amazing. Highly suggest.

Greg D.

Yelp
Great service. The Menu however feels restrictively expensive and the cost to quality value proposition for this restaurant is out of balance. There's other restaurants in the neighborhood with way better food at a much better price point. We won't be back.

Yelp
***FOOD: Not enough adjectives to describe how good a meal we had. Cozy French Bistro. Seasonal menu so menu items change. roasted duck confit in their imported french roasting open oven (seen them in France) was perfectly succulently prepared. The star was my pea veloutte soup wow. i could eat this every day and I'm not even a pea soup person. the fish was perfect and delicious coupled with the mushrooms and potato dauphine that looked like scallops, the only let down would be the lamb sausage not what we imagined and it wasn't to our liking. ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $ $ $ entrees from $30-$50 ***DÉCOR: up scale french bistro, bistrot decor nice not fussy, minimalist with wegner style wood W chairs, modern contemporary clean ***SERVICE: perfect, professional and attentive ***RECOMMEND: YES would definitely RECOMMEND and will definitely go back.

Yelp
Rented out the back room for a work event the past week and it was excellent! The ambiance was a European dream with large chandeliers and neutral decor. Felt like a cozy fine dining restaurant in Paris. Menu was a pre fixe and included a bib lettuce salad with pickled onions, walnuts and a tangy vinaigrette. The main course included a beef or barramundi option. I went with the fish and while the sides were excellent the fish was a tad over cooked. Wine and gin and tonics were classic but great! Overall, I'd go back but would want to see the full menu for other options!

Yelp
Wow! An outstanding meal at this new spot just off Pennsylvania Ave, entrance on 13th Street. Th restaurant is on the ground floor of an office building, windows facing the street. There's a full bar on the left with bar and hightop seating. The dining room is on the right, with the open rotisserie kitchen along the wall. There are a few barstool seats available to watch the action plus 15 or so tables. Reservations were honored to the minute. Our server, Andres, did a great job explaining the menu and kept the meal moving at an efficient yet leisurely pace. Thank you! Food is served platoon style and everything was delivered as ordered. We started with a charcuterie board. Choices are made from a variety of meats and soft or hard cheeses. The board is decked out with a few slices of crusty bread, olive oil, pear compote and 2 types of mustard. The prosciutto was earthy and moist, freshly sliced. Cheeses were excellent, though can't remember which I chose. A great start. Next, a pair of appetizers. 4 head-on prawns are broiled to perfection and plated with sabayon (egg based sauce, infused here with saffron). The shrimp are perfect. Crisp to the bite and well seasoned. The saffron adds a unique taste that really complements the shrimp. Outstanding! Next, cauliflower couscous. The cauliflower is riced, seasoned and roasted till it has the light, crunchy consistency of couscous. It's enhanced with chopped cranberries and parsnip, a little pistachio butter, topped with wonton crisps and plated with a dollop of yogurt. Super tasty, it's light and airy, crunchy and flavorful. Also tried wild boar lasagna. Possibly the best lasagna I've ever eaten. Egg noodles are layered with crumbles of wild boar and comte cheese, then topped with black trumpet mushrooms. No tomato sauce is used, but there are shards of stewed tomatoes with the meat. Much lighter than the usual lasagna. This is just sublime. The gamey boar melds with the egg noodles and are set off by the earthy mushrooms and a hint of tomato. Last but not least, dessert. Tried a quartet of freshly made, still-warm beignets, dredged in cinnamon sugar, served with a cup of ricotta custard topped with pumpkin syrup. Dunk those beignets in the custard... Yaaaaas. Shout out to one cool feature that I've never seen before... The restrooms have an air hand dryer available as a faucet in the sink. Love me a gadget! The tab was $129 including 2 glasses of wine. A reasonable price for this delicious food in a sleek new spot. Recommended!

Yelp
We went there for a friend's birthday and had an amazing time. The staff was very attentive and the food was great!

Yelp
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Decent noise levels. Pretty good pre-theatre menu. Once we ordered from the pre-theatre menu our server seemed to lose interest. But overall a nice experience.

Yelp
The service at the Henri is very, very good. The food is delicious and the ambiance is just right. Everytime I've come in for happy hour, the staff have been gracious and accommodating. This is my go to in DC for happy hour.

Yelp
girls night out before heading to the national theater our waiter "David" was amazing and the food was delicious. I had the liberty cocktail and you only need one I would highly recommend this restaurant and when you go there please ask for David you won't be disappointed

Yelp
There is a lot to like about The Henri. The location is ideal for a dinner before a show at the Warner or the National. We were warmly greeted by a hostess at the door, not someone hunched over an iPad behind a desk, and taken promptly to a table. I really appreciated that tables weren't wedged in such that your elbows bump you neighbors. I also loved the open kitchen, which afforded a great view of the magnificent rotisserie (with great ventilation so we didn't leave smelling like short order cooks!) Service was definitely off - but that seems to be the case everywhere. Fortunately, the front manager swooped in and helped move things along. The pre-theater menu was very underwhelming, which was a disappointment. The regular menu has many interesting dishes to choose from though. If you take nothing else from this review, order the lentils and merguez, a classic French dish amped up here with sausage from the rotisserie and roasted cherry tomatoes. But, the absolute star of the dish was the lentils. They were warm and savory, full of deep earthy goodness. I wish I could have just ordered a huge bowl of them. On the other hand, the tartiflette was overcooked such that it was more like mashed potatoes with cheese rather that the gratin it should have been. Oddly, it also lacked much bacon. The duck confit was dry and tough (which I think they knew since it was served with a steak knife). The melted cabbage on which it was served was delicate and delicious though. The schnitzel was cooked well but came in a puddle of grease, maybe owing to the sautéed mushrooms placed on top. A bit of a mixed experience, but we'll likely give it another try next time we have theater tickets... location, location, location.

Holly H.

Yelp
I attended a group dinner in one of The Henri's private rooms. Our starter was a fantastic shaved brussels sprouts salad - so flavorful with an excellent dressing. We had the option of a fish dish or filet mignon for our main course. i had the steak. it was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of seasoning. For dessert, we were given the option of a cheese plate or mini dessert trio. I chose the cheese and was happy. The waitstaff was attentive. Overall, it was an excellent meal.

Yelp
Recently visited the Henri and was hopeful to leave a nice review, considering their staff did a nice job with an industry event we were attending. However, when I ordered take-out, I was explicitly clear in asking whether the chicken was white or dark meat. Of course, when I got home, it was the opposite of how they answered that question and therefore, for me, inedible due to a strong taste preference. I immediately called to inquire about a refund, then followed up with a second call the next afternoon. It's a week later, and they apparently cannot be bothered to return my call - and the charge remains on my card. Really poor service - and poor server education if the employee did not know the answer to a simple question about one of their main dishes. Very disappointing.

Yelp
This was my first time here, and overall, the place is really cool. If you observe & engage with what's happening behind the scenes, the staff cares about the quality of their product and they seem to have a true love for making their customers happy. A friend and i went pre-theater. The bar service was a bit different for us at first with an open kitchen concept, but we quickly realized table service at the bar was impeccable. I only eat seafood when I trust the source, and, I'm so glad i did here. The crab roll was almost like an egg roll / taquito but soooooo good. We were given our check (reasonable for downtown) & hand made chocolate truffles to go. Such a treat. We will be back & recommend you do the same!

Yelp
My friend and I went to The Henri for the bar and  happy hour, called the "Henri Hour." Overall, I thought this was a very upscale dar with a very good happy hour. The decor is pretty elegant with a lot of hard surfaces. However, in the bar area, if there is an event (like there was when we were there), it can get very loud because there's no carpet or drapes to soak up the noise. The bar menu and drinks were quite substantive. They have real champagne on the menu for $14 a glass. There are a few cocktails on the happy hour list of course they have a much more substantial list on the main menu. For food, we ordered the trout, which was a large portion for the price. The grilled oysters were fine but got a little soggy and cold if you didn't eat them quickly. We also had an order of fries because they were gluten-free, but they came with no accoutrements like  ketchup or mayonnaise, which we thought was kind of odd. Service was somewhat disjointed. They had a lot of workers here and people kept coming around and asking us the same questions even after we had already ordered. So there wasn't a lot of coordination but at the same time you were never without a full glass of water and everything. Overall, I thought this was a pretty nice locale that's new in Washington DC. I didn't go to the restaurant to have any of the interesting food, so this review is just for the happy hour.

Yelp
An amazing place to dine. Excellent wine. The trout was wonderful. The rotisserie chicken was outstanding. And the biscuit starter was very enjoyable. Service was cordial and very attentive. Relaxed ambiance. Overall a very nice experience

Yelp
Food was great! Service not so much...waiter was inattentive and only came by to refill water. Thank goodness another waiter wandered by a few times to check on us. Our entrees also took a good while... other tables who came in after us were able to enjoy theirs before us. Would have been a more pleasant experience if we had better wait staff. May have been an off wait staff, but not worth a recommendation.

If Eater DC pointed you here because this is one of DCs hottest restaurants, stop trusting Eater. It was hands down one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Abysmal. And I was dining alone on a Monday evening when the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. The food is okay, but nothing particularly special. The cocktail menu is average, and that's being kind. If you go out of your way to come here, you're a moron.

Yelp
Best Vegas breakfast hands down! The quality of the food was amazing since good Breakfast options on the strip are scarce, so the Henri quickly became a staple for our trips and work conferences. The service and vibe is awesome!

Yelp
Came here spontaneously for a night out with friends before seeing a show. Spotted them across the street and decided to give them a try and boy was I not disappointed! Upon arriving we were greeted by smiles. A bit busy because of course everyone had the same idea, but the busyness did not slow down service. We went the staffs recommendations for some quick apps everything was served hot and delicious. We got the frites, crab rolls, lamb meatballs, and the oysters. The table was quite satisfied. Drinks were served promptly and hit the right spot before the show! Bathrooms were clean and nice. Will definitely come back. Geo, Celia, Elmer and juan were awesome at the bar area :)

Yelp
Caveat: this review is just for the bar. The Henri is split down the middle with a restaurant and open kitchen on the right and a bar/lounge on the left. The full menu is served in the bar along with special bar snacks I like this place as a solid stop for a pre-theater drink. The interior is gorgeous- it definitely feels like fine dining. The cocktail menu is limited, but the wine list is impressive. The bar menu is definitely leaning into 'elevated bar snack'- lots of potatoes and fried things but with more complexity. I had the crab legs, which managed to be delicate and not too oily. Portions lean small if you're planning to share. Best of all, it's reasonable for the area! Drinks range 10-15 as do the bar snacks.

Yelp
Much better than the Diplomate! Great service. Follow your server's advice. Duck, steak, Dorade, schnitzel, escargots, sweet breads, brownie w/caramel gelato, and classic lemon merengue pie. Zero proof cocktail California Girl is like a genuine Cuban daiquiri, sour with a hint of sweet. It's all good!

Yelp
Went for dinner on a Sunday night. There were very few diners, but the waiter needed prompts to take our food order and to bring us the wine that we ordered. He also made a mistake on an appetizer. The food was good, but frankly not worth the price. The service was certainly not commensurate with the cost of the meal.

Yelp
Delicious food. One of the most inventive menus I've encountered over many years. One hallmark of the dishes is simplicity. For each dish, the chef took one or two central ingredients and, with a vision of the dish in mind, created a strikingly delicious dish. Each dish was interesting in taste and presentation. Meals at other highly rated restaurants are certainly excellent, in general. Some are quite extraordinary. But The Henri stands out, at least to me. Oh yes, the ambiance is very pleasing as well.

Yelp
Great renditions of classic bistro fare - duck confit, sweatbreads, escargot, etc. But thecowboy steak with wine sauce was the star. Deserts were excellent as well.

Yelp
Stunning decor and the waitstaff was extremely attentive. I enjoyed three appetizers (tartar, pea soup and melon prosciutto) and had the ricotta beignets for deserts- all of which were delicious.

Yelp
My friend made a reservation here before our show at the Warner theatre. We were very impressed by the friendly welcome and beautiful atmosphere. We enjoyed a glass of champagne and the crab roll at the bar to soak in the scenery. It was so lovely! We then checked in for our reservation and moved to the dining area. We had a cozy spot by the window with a great view of the open kitchen. We ordered a delicious bottle of rose and the chef sent a delicious complimentary appetizer. We followed it with the roasted cauliflower and a cheese board. The portions were very large and delicious. Instead of entrees we decide to stick to small plates so we could try as much as possible! We ordered the potato and leek croquettes and my favorite was the butternut squash risotto. I wish I had picture of everything! For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate mousse and an espresso martini. We had some food left over and the staff were kind enough to hold it for us while we went to the show! We had an excellent experience and we can't wait to bring friends when we return!

Yelp
I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. Only opening a few months prior, The Henri impresses every time I go. I came for my graduation celebration with my parents and sister. We were greeted kindly and warmly by Molly and Eduardo (the GM) who sat us down to a lovely table by the open kitchen. Cocktails were fantastic! Our Captains, Rafael and Marcelo, have excellent service being very attentive, friendly, and informative throughout the night. We ordered the grilled squid and the beef tartare for appetizers and were not disappointed. Dinner was also incredible my favorite of the table's being the rotisserie pork shoulder. What I think stole the show was the dessert pana cotta with strawberry, vanilla, and rhubarb. Although The Henri focuses on private dining, don't miss this spot before a theatre production (which we did!) or a nice evening out in downtown Washington!

Yelp
Yet another fantastic meal at the Henri tonight with my wife, son, and a friend. We together had Rotisserie Lobster, Partridge, and Dorade that killed it! Our waiter, David, was fantastic. Top level server knowledge and a good guy.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. Not an appealing room. Hubs and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Food and service were A+. We were one of just 3 tables with customers though. I think because the room has no aesthetic. It's a C at best. Hang some plants or something guys.

Yelp
Has amazing decor but the food was mediocre and fact that I'm hear hands loudly is annoying when dining. The drinks are ok but other than decor nothing made me go wow

Yelp
The host was kind, cheerful and welcoming. The place was not busy at all when we arrived on a Friday at 7:30pm, maybe 3 tables occupied. The rabbit rillette was overly salty. The rest of our food was warm/room temperature. We expected hot food to come out especially if it came from the rotisserie, which we were told was the largest in the city, but we felt as though our food was microwaved or had been sitting out too long. The asparagus salad was cold but on a really hot plate, which seemed a bit odd. I expected the egg salad to be cold but the asparagus shouldn't have been. If the whole plate was supposed to be cold, then why the hot plate. The pork crepe was lukewarm at best with no garnishment and lacked flavor. The pork shoulder - again - warm, not hot as it was supposed to be from the "rotisserie", and dry and the skin was tough not crispy. After the experience with the pork crepe, I changed my order to the bouillabaisse since the rotisserie seemed unreliable. Because it's an open kitchen you can see everything. At times, I would look over and see the chef adding garnishment or doing a final plating and it would just sit there. My bouillabaisse was probably the best of all the items - hot, flavorful, without being too salty. Seafood seemed fresh, however, the bread that came with the meal was burnt. We decided not to order dessert fearing more disappointment. I really wanted to love your restaurant and the menu items seemed wonderfully written. I don't think I would return for awhile. ADVICE: If your food is not hot, I would immediately ask for a new plate. Don't let a hot plate fool you into thinking that the food on the plate is actually hot. Pay attention to how long the food/plates have been sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up by the servers. Check the other side of the bread that comes with the bouillabaisse.
