"Pinoy Heritage kicked off around 2016, and ever since then the Filipino pop-up has been making plates of pork lumpia, chicken inasal, sisig fried rice, and serving up everything from kamayan dinners to seven-course tasting menus. The secret key to any dish at Pinoy Heritage—or the team’s brick-and-mortar restaurant Abacá—are traditional Filipino flavors done up with California signatures. The next time you hear of a Pinoy Heritage pop-up or collaboration, best to drop all other plans and get there." - Lani Conway

The host was very friendly, and the food was hot, fresh, and delicious! The restaurant was quiet, and the decor was very tasteful. The prices were very reasonable and the tables were sturdy, with at least one being a "real" hardwood table. Everything was kept clean. We had the adobo chicken, which was fantastic. The "chicken on a stick" was also great! We will definitely plan to visit again when in the area!

We needed food and found this gem in an obscure mall in Federal Way. The atmosphere is very homey - lots of decorations from the islands. Relatively small menu but it appears to change based on seasons and availability. We shared a combo plate. Two scoops of rice, one bowl of chicken adobo and one of diniguan. Pretty tasty, especially when eaten with the "natural" fork and spoon (fingers). Perfect for eaten the meat and slurping the juice. Not a lot of blood in the dinuguan, but my daughter commented that no one puts as much in as I do. We wanted to leave room for treats. I had the cassava cake which was delicious. My daughter had halo halo and it was the most decadent and yummy she has ever tried. All kinds of tasty bits to discover. They brought skewers of grilled meat out while we were there but we were full. Next time... We'll definitely go back. It wasn't busy when we went mid afternoon on a Saturday, but it would be nice to go when there are more customers. Plus there is a nice selection of Filipino snacks for purchase. And gallons of Datu Puti shoyu and vinegar. Check out this little jewel in The Fed.

I ordered a party size of Palabok worth $140.00 for our church. The palabok was cold as cold as the weather here in Washington. The palabok looks old and tastes old. Our members just use our microwave to reheat the palabok A lot from our church was quite disappointed. It’s good to experience this, it will be the first and last.

Great service, excellent food and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want quick and authentic Filipino food. They have hot bar ready so you can quickly grab your food and go. They also have delicious desserts and Filipino snacks in the back.

So glad to have found a Filipino resto near us! The food is authentic, affordable and superb! The serving and the taste is amazing! They even gave us free carioca which is the bomb! Their crispy dinuguan is a must try too! Thei halo-halo is perfect for summer! They even have lechon Cebu, lechon Kawali, bibingka, cassava and biko! Feels like home… 🇵🇭 check out their pinoy groceries for Filipino snacks.

I was on a roadtrip and stayed in Seattle for few days .I was able to satisfy all my cravings from this new filipino restaurant in Federal Way . The dishes are all delicious and very authentic Ilocano style cooking . The owners are very sweet and nice .So if you happen to be in the area ,this is a must try dining spot . I would definitely come back for their food. Especially the crispy dinuguan and Pork BBQ 😋🤤…. P.S ..But of course since it’s almost summer and it’s getting hot , I had to finish my meals with their very loaded Halo halo ❤️

Yelp
I was in Federal Way for work, and saw that there was a Filipino restaurant nearby, so of course, I had to check it out. I don't often eat Filipino food, so am always excited when I find a new Filipino spot around. The Heritage Filipino Favorites, however, was not my favorite. I visited during the lunch hour on a weekday and the place had a few patrons dining in. It's located in a small business strip, so parking is easy to find and plenty. The restaurant isn't all that large, but there's enough space for groups. You order and pay at the counter then pick a spot to sit. At the counter where the food is, there were plenty of entrees to choose from, either as one or two-meat combinations with two scoops of rice or you can get the items a la carte. A lot of the options were pork-based. I chose the two-meat combination with the pork adobo and the bicol express. If you dine in, they have condiments, like calamansi sauce and chili oil to add some oomph. Nothing will ever be as good as mom's Filipino food, but I thought my combination was A-OK. My biggest complaint with the pork adobo was that most of the meat was fat, so had to cut a lot of it off. The Bicol express, which is one of my favorite Filipino dishes, was unfortunately, very bland. I was expecting a lot of coconut flavor and some spice as it normally has, but I tasted mostly pork. At least the meat was tender. It definitely needed something else to it. Overall, the food was satisfactory. I do like that there's a Filipino restaurant in the area, which we really need more of in the Seattle area. But I can't say I'd go out of my way to check this place out since there are other Filipino gems that are near this one and are much tastier.

Yelp
A little hidden place on the side of a strip mall but DEFINITELY worth a stop if you are in the area. Has ample seating. Clean and neat but empty the day we went. Seemed to be more take out service at that time. They had several pre-made items to choose from in a cafeteria line setting but were out of some things since it was near closing (closes at 6 p). We choose a 2 entree combo meal which was such a great price! Served 2 light eaters just right. The meat was so tender. One dish was a bit oily but I think it added to the flavor. We needed more rice to sop up the great gravies and the nice serving person gave us a bowl at no extra charge. Not much in terms of veggies the day we were there. Halo halo was listed but we did not partake this visit. Have to go back!

Yelp
Compared prices and portions to filipino restaurants in the area, this place is more worth the money! The food is 'pili-pili' with a couple items that are made fresh to order. They have a lot more options and home style varieties of filipino cuisines compared to the other restaurants. 1 item meal for $9.50 2 item meal for $12.50 At first I thought it was pricey and my first glance at the portion were not amused. But once I was eating it, it was good. The igado reminded me of my dad and had the right flavors. The pinakbet was delicious, I enjoyed the veggies in both dishes. Helped cut the fat and added a fresh crunch. Moving from California, it's really hard to find good quality filipino food out here that matches the price point. The customer service was great and the guy was super nice and had a great conversation. Hopefully they will keep consistent hours unlike the restaurant before them.

Yelp
Turo-turo style restaurant. Prices are reasonable. They have most of the popular Filipino dishes - adobo, dinuguan, crispy pata, etc. They also have halo-halo for desert. The taste overall isn't that great. I still prefer Fil-cuisine but it is farther from where I live. Whenever I'm craving for Filipino food and don't have time, I still go here. Staff's always friendly and prices are cheaper compared to other Filipino restaurants.

Lance P.

Yelp
Delicious food and it's fast and ready made. The prices are great 9.99$ and 12.99 combos for one and two items with rice

Jey C.

Yelp
First visit I ordered awesome crispy pata. Walked in a week later and ordered crispy dinuguan to go after reading rave reviews. What I got was the most clotted grainy dinuguan I've ever had in my life.

Corey E.

Yelp
Basic cafeteria food. They close at 6pm today. We get there about 3:30 or so. There are 6 pans of food under the warmers. Pancit that was DOA, dried out noodles under a heat lamp, longinicia that had 2 pieces in there. The sinigang had been there so long the greens were no longer greens, the dinuguan didn't look tha bad, some pinkabet, and then a half pan of sisig. We first ordered due to lead time some lechon kawali it takes about 10-15 according to the guy. The menu board as pictured shows single item 10.50 and a double combo for 13.50. One double order sisig, one double combo sisig and pinkabet and a single combo of diniguan. The food was terrible no flavo, the sisig was 80% ears, very little face and very little skin. But nothing else in there, no gulay or anything to give it some life. After about 10 minutes I am calculating in my head that something is off. I could t figure it out. I pulled the recipe and there was a hidden charge applied to or dishes. If you ordered sisig there was n charge of a dollar per serving. So basically another $3.30 applied to the bill I inquire about this fee and he did it in his register. It is not posted anywhere for the consumer to understand what they are paying for. I suggested that you have to post all fees to the consumer. He said he would bring it up with management. The restaurant as a hole is dirty! The carpets are black from the foot traffic, the condiments need some attention, the vessels have not been cleaned in sometime. This was our second attempt at eating at this restaurant. The first time Yelp said they were open, so we drove from Kent and when we arrived they were closed. If only they were open last time. We would've saved ourselves the agony of this visit. We need some additional Filipino restaurants. So I hate to be so brutal, but this was not a great representation of the Filipino cuisine. You can get better at Grill City 7 days a week. Come on heritage do better. Hot fresh flavorful food!

Yelp
My dad brought me here for lunch on a Saturday. I will start off by saying I am part Filipino so I am a little particular about the food of my ancestors. That being said, my word... this place needs to be broadcasted to the world. It reminds me of every one of my aunties and my grandma. We got Bicol Express, Pinakbet, Lechon Kawali, Veggie Pancit, and one other dish (I forget the name but I go have a photo). My dad of course peer pressure me into scoops of rice on the side and a Ube Cassava Cake. This was a lot, we ate family style and took leftovers, but you can order a plate and there are so many other things to choose from. It's the kind of food that you can't stop eating, even when you're full and past full. There is an assortment of desserts prepackaged and a good variety of canned Asian drinks along with sodas and water. The decor is spot on, staff was very friendly and helpful, and parking was a breeze as no other businesses were open yet. If there's a line, I'd wait an hour to eat here.

Yelp
Food is not tasty, small serving. Server is friendly. Home cooking is better, I wouldn't go back . No ambience 2 star

Yelp
Friendly service! Ambiance like you were in the Philippines. They have many different types of Filipino food to choose from. Definitely give them a try.

Yelp
Excellent food! Staff is friendly. So glad to have a local Filipino restaurant nearby for whenever I get the craving for a taste of home!

Mei B.

Yelp
We been craving Filipino food and after reading the reviews decided to give this place a try. There were customers but they were there for takeouts only. No sit in customers. The location is a bit shady. Definitely wouldn't come here at night. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small but ok. The service was ok. We told the counter person that it was our first time and he explained the difference dishes. We decided to order a 2 side dish to try and if we liked it we would order another. Hence, we stuck with the 1 the chicken adobe and Bicol express. The taste of the chicken was good but it was a little dry and had lots of shredded little bones. I suspect the knife was not sharp. The Bicol express didn't have much coconut flavor and it tasted water down. There were 5 small pieces of meat. The food was NOT hot cause it was all precooked sitting under heating lamps. OH. we did get the bbq skewer. That was tasty but cold. The lumpia barely had any filling. After biting it if you measure it I would say about 1.5 cm of filling. Overall ok but won't go back again.

Yelp
Yummy Mexican empanadas crispy lord of stuffed inside sooo yummy tasty for sure I recommend it . My favorite

Rick D.

Yelp
The food is excellent classic filipino food. Lots of choices. Tried the empanada, sisig, kare-kare, and halo halo. Also went for lechon cebu, pinapaitan, krispy dinuguan for "togo". It's worth driving an hour from the north. Will be back soon.

Raymond M.

Yelp
Delicious!!! This place brought me back home. Definitely going back especially for the Ilocos Empanadas!

John G.

Yelp

Yelp
Highly recommend!!! here in Seattle for a 2 weeks business trip and I've been craving for Filipino food since forever and finally decided to try this place and it was AMAZING! totally hit the spot! The business is owned by 2 young couples and they are the sweetest. Been getting my dinner here for 4 days in a row lol. So much to try and everything was really good so far. Otw to make it 5 days in a row.

Kenneth E.

Yelp
Went here at 4pm on a friday and it didn't dissappoint food was great and the cashier was so friendly.

Kristina V.

Yelp
Messed up my order. Waited for 45-50mins . Bland. Small portion for the price.Never again!

CJ L.

Yelp
I was glad this place reopened up. Hopefully the hours stay consistent. But I've never had bland Filipino food before. I payed $50 plus for tasteless food which I was surprised! I ended up adding my own fish sauce and seasoning when I got home. The pork adobo lacked vinegar and soy sauce. The lumpia was good though.

Jenny D.

Yelp
Generous portions and traditional Filipino food. The three of us really liked it! the igado and lumpia were really good.
