The High Note

We came here with a party of about 12, and it was a really great spot to meet. We got there early enough to get a big table and a few of us that weren’t seated would be standing. As the night went on the music got really amazing (some good 90s and early 2000s hip-hop). Really great vibe and I would return here again and again!!

Fun little divey bar off Union Square. I went to a Tulane watch party, so was super crowded, but bar staff was still able to accommodate everyone and not be surly. Good burger and wings as well, so nice place to catch a game and some beers with friends.

I really enjoy this place. It’s a little bit difficult to get service sometimes cause it gets really busy but it’s a really cool place to go for happy hour after work. Plus they have happy hour till 8 PM with two dollars off like many of their drinks and eight dollar drinks. It’s a great space to come with work, friends, and plenty of room to enjoy.

Had my 25th birthday here - amazing experience!! Great atmosphere/music/drinks, staff is super responsive, and perfect space for a group of 70 - 100 people. Highly recommend!

Was so excited to watch an OSU Game here and RSVP’ed for the event. Waited for over 30 minutes just to not get in. Told the bouncer about my reservation and that my wait to get in with other people with no reservations was rediculous. Said I would take my business elsewhere so I went to 5th and Mad.

Visited for a birthday party. Drinks we're tasty and the space is great for hanging out with friends. The smashburgers with the secret sauce hit the spot too, would come again.

The High Note is my go-to spot for private events. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the space is perfect for any occasion. Plus, their chicken sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this spot for your next birthday party or special event.

Now they only serving cheap burgers and fries. Not good. The burgers tasted like McDonald's. No verity of food like they use too Barely any top liquor. Atmosphere very cheap. Definitely not going back. Wishing you guys all the best with your establishment

Love their wings and flatbread! They some great cocktails to wash it all down too! Definitely a new hang out for my group of friends!

Stopped by for a private event for my daughter and the cast of Ainadamer that performed at the Met Opera. It's a fun little spot with a classic old bar and a separate event room. The bartenders were super friendly and helpful even though the place was packed. While we had already eaten, we got some wings and fries, which went perfectly with our cocktails and beers. In fact, the wings were some of the best we've ever had.

I don't see what this place doesn't have more positive reviews. Stopped here after dinner for a quick drink - the ambience was nice, music was ok, bartenders were very sweet! If there were more seats we would've stayed longer, but it was a Friday night so that's expected. It was also very affordable compared to other bars around the area. I would definitely come back for drinks.

Surprisingly lots of space with three booth tables, some bar seating, and a whole another section in the back with live music! Definitely leans to a younger crowd but was just happy to find a spot with AC and comfortable seating! I enjoyed the Matchapeno - which leaned more spicy/jalapeño forward than matcha, but the drink got sweeter towards the end. A bit bummed that we ordered fries but never got them served to our table even after sitting for 30 minutes.

Shocked at the fact that there is A) so little reviews for this place B) the reviews are so poor! High note is a great bar to casually pop in and enjoy a couple happy hour drinks while having casual catchups with friends. It boasts a cozy atmosphere, as the hosts are constantly adjusting and dimming the lights as the night rolls in. There's sometimes a DJ in the corner of the room mixing and playing records. As someone who enjoys vinyl, this adds a different kind of vibe to any bar. While it's great to have variety and new options, I am a little saddened by the fact that the Happy Hour menu is rotating. The last time I visited I enjoyed a delicious Cosmopolitan cocktail that didn't reek of alcohol but also did the job in getting me shmoozed. I was disappointed that it was gone and opted for a Tequila grenadine cocktail on sale instead, which didn't quite hit the spot for me the same way. I thought the lavender espresso martini was just okay--I have yet to find a heavy hitter drink that I'm willing to drop the big bucks on. Overall, however, the service at this bar is good--the staff are always friendly and accommodating and I feel comfortable just relaxing after a long day of work here.

I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. Minus the smell sometimes, this place is great. Really solid cheap happy hour ($8 wells, or $3 off cocktails). Chicken wings hit the spot. The matcha margarita was also good. Plus the bartenders were super nice and attentive. And the wait staff were on top of it- constantly clearing tables. You serve yourself water and order at the bar. Also seat yourself. I'm definitely returning.

Stopped in here for a couple beers before a show at irving plaza. Beer on tap was warm, but was tolerable. The atmosphere was relaxing, dusky, and not too overcrowded on the night we went.

I can see why this place does not have great reviews. My friend and I walked into this place for quick drinks as we enjoyed the vibe initially and they were playing Taylor Swift throwback songs. My friend got an espresso martini and I got a gin based cocktail to get started. The drinks were too sweet and had very little alcohol. The place had younger crowd and good music however it was just like any other bar. There was nothing outstanding or unique about this place! We pretty much left in like 30 mins! You can skip as there are better places around the block.

Great ambiance and pricing. Bartenders very friendly. Awesome for sporting events. Cocktails did not disappoint. Food was surprisingly good as well

Upon arrival I was greeted with respect and the bartenders were very knowledgeable and willing to help me out with my order. The ambiance was great very subtle and welcoming. The food was great loved the wings there.

Prices were stellar. French fries were probably the best I've ever had in the city. Bar service was excellent. And the building itself was cozy and intimate.

Was super excited to check this place out thanks to the cool atmosphere and solid prices. However, unfortunately, even on a slow Sunday night, service was abysmal. The bartender stood with his back to the bar for half an hour while my husband and I waited for service. Instead, bartender seemed more interested in chatting with a group of women, and didn't even bother to answer the phone while it rang. Food smelled nice; shame we were effectively denied the opportunity to try it!

Great place to watch Ohio state games- they play audio and have a DJ for commercial breaks. Never waited long to order a drink or wait in bathroom line

I had a great time at the High Note! Great prices, great food, fantastic cocktails. The servers were attentive and kind. The ambiance definitely feels a little dive-y but I LOVE that aesthetic and it's a perfect place to go if you want some late night eats and delicious drinks. Don't miss the matchapeno cocktail, their sweet chili wings, and their hot chicken sandwich. Though everything I tasted was delicious, anything that they made with chicken in particular was phenomenal.

Terrible service. Very unfriendly! The manager yelled at me to leave because I wanted to access the free water pitcher provided. Pushed me out of the way and everything, not sure why he got so aggressive, but if that's how the manager treats patrons I'd hate to see how he treats the staff. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you like being treated poorly for no reason.

Cute vibe, dark wood and leather, great cocktails & good music. I came on a Tuesday and every table had people. Recommend.

I've come here a few times and I absolutely loved the vibe. I went with coworkers after work and again with friends for happy hour. The food and the drink selection were phenomenal(especially the wings). I already booked my birthday here because it's a great place to throw events. I highly recommend this bar!

Was in NYC for the weekend and happened to find this little gem. My husband and I had the burger and wings and both were great. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and really friendly staff.
