The Highlight Room - Review - Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"For last-minute sunset drinks, it’s hard to compete with this cocktail spot at The Dream Hollywood. The fun playlists that aren't too loud, no one cares if you notice their outfit, and there’s always a handful of tables set aside for walk-ins. You'll probably spot a pair of flip-flops resting by the pool as you approach the host stand. And since the glass railing gives everyone a perfect skyline view, it’s easy to sneak a photo with the Hollywood Sign. When you’ve outgrown Mama Shelter, The Highlight Room is the best alternative for drinks with a view in the area. Just know that after 9pm, the crowd takes a sharp, chaotic turn." - Nikko Duren

Pics I shared were from October 2020. This place was excellent to dine in before sunset. I’m not sure why no one has reported this place as closed but I will after posting this. I read from the TAO FB page which owned and operated The Highlight Room that they closed permanently on January 15, 2025.

Beautiful view and great atmosphere, we did have a large party of 7 with reservations and ordered appetizers, dinner and drinks and continued to order drinks after dinner and were asked to leave our table for another party coming in. They said we could move to couches to finish our drinks and then we were asked to leave the couches, so we were forced to finish $100 in drinks quickly while standing. 4 of the guests in our party had 2 rooms booked at the hotel for the weekend as well. I’m okay with leaving after dinner but I don’t feel like they should have taken our drink order if they had planned on asking us to leave.

Wonderful rooftop view of the Hollywood hills. Not too busy on a Saturday night. Friendly staff. Steak was tasty but the poki tacos were comically tiny. I would call them toddler tacos. They are an appetizer, but still. They are very tiny and there are only three. Not enough even as an appetizer for any more than one person.

Came here for lunch one Thursday morning. It was a weekday so it was dead and we were able to take our pick at the tables. Such great views of LA from any seat here really. For food we ordered the tuna poke tacos, grilled cheese, chicken sandwich, and spicy tomato rigatoni. All of the food was amazing. Our server warned us the tacos were tiny, and she wasn't wrong. The order comes with 3 tacos and each one is about 1 big or 2 small bites to finish. Taste was good, but the filling was watery and made the shell a little less crispy. The chicken sandwich is big and comes with fries. The grilled cheese was really good the truffle cheese gave it a unique flavor and the tomato soup pairing was perfect! The rigatoni came with shrimp and was the perfect sized lunch. For dessert I was torn between the basque cheesecake and the strawberry shortcake. Ended up going with the strawberry shortcake and I was kinda disappointed. The chantilly was good but the biscuit was hard and dry. I wish it came on a soft sponge cake instead. We got a few different cocktails, which were all fantastic. For 4 people and 2 drinks each we paid $420 total after tax and tip. There is street parking meters that are $3 for 2 hours. Or you can valet for about $25. Overall good place with a great vibe, I would come back here again!

The breakfast here was pretty great for a hotel restaurant. As someone that doesn’t typically like sausages, I loved the turkey sausages that came with the classic breakfast. They didn’t have a strong peppery taste and were slightly sweet with a great crisp outside. I had the steak and eggs twice, both times were good but one day was significantly better than the other due to the steak being cooked much more to my liking. The service here is pretty hit or miss though. On weekdays it’s good, but on weekends when it’s busy, the service suffers considerably as it doesn’t seem like there’s enough servers when the restaurant’s full.

Went here 3 times as we were staying at the dream. First day for lunch was just okay. The corn chips were a little stale but the guacamole was good. The chicken Cesar wrap was okay as well. We went again for lunch and it was delicious!! The kale salad was sooo fresh and tasty! The chicken was perfect. Burger was good to go. I would recommend this place for good eats and nice views!

I love it here! Views are amazing, but the vibe is definitely not here when it’s cloudy. Even down to service. Don’t misunderstand me; service is usually top notch! I guess the weather on the rooftop effects them. LOL! Of course music is playing, but not helping them spruce up some. Anyways, we ordered the Rigatoni, Chicken Cesar Salad, Grilled Cheese with Bacon and Tomato Soup, and The Crispy Chicken Sandwich. There were truly not many complaints. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw, and pickles. I’ve had this many times before; however it had way to much Dijon. Chicken by itself wasn’t seasoned with any salt. I’ve had better here, and everyone I was with enjoyed their meals. I’ve given them a 5 star before, but this time 4 it is. Definitely recommend!

Google
Can you say homemade Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips?! They were AWESOME! Rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant. I gave it four stars because the drinks were very expensive. $25-30 dollars for less than 4 oz of alcohol. If you can afford more than one, this place is for you. That being said, the views are incredible. Good food, great service, and beautiful surroundings. The back window looks out on the streets of Hollywood and you have a birds-eye view of the Hollywood sign.

Yelp
My partner and I visited The Highlight Room on the day they had to fly back home, and it would be a long time before we'd see each other again. We were recommended this spot by a host in Las Vegas who's part of the Tao Group, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the front desk was super helpful in directing us where to go. The staff on the rooftop were so funny and made our experience worthwhile--they were playful and made us feel completely comfortable. The food was incredible. My partner's pasta and drink were delicious, and my simple wings were one of the most refreshing meals I've ever had. Maybe it was the combination of the view and the food, but the whole experience felt amazing. Our server was fantastic, always attentive and making sure we enjoyed our meal, while giving us space to relax. It was the perfect balance, and we can't wait to come back! ALSO THE PIZZA IS F***** delicious

Yelp
The only thing worth highlighting about The Highlight Room is the view. Nestled atop a swanky Hollywood hotel, the panoramic cityscape is undeniably stunning--but that's where the praise ends. The service? Absolutely abysmal. Our server seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving us with little to no attention throughout the evening. To make matters worse, the restaurant wasn't even busy, yet our food took over an hour to arrive. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The flavors were uninspired and far from what you'd expect at a venue boasting such a prime location. To top it off, the calamari appetizer was so delayed that they ended up refunding it--though at that point, the gesture felt like too little, too late. While the hotel itself looks like a fun spot to visit, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money on this restaurant. You're better off finding a rooftop with equally good views and far superior service and cuisine.

Yelp
"If i could give this place a negative star i would" this place was horrible, came in for breakfast with my family of 4. It took them at least 30mins for them to get our drink orders. On top of that when our food arrived our drinks still did not arrived. And our waitress i think was on something, she gave my son of 4yrs old a khalua drink saying that it was a chocolate milk drink. They need to either reset this restaurant or close it down. I would NEVER GO BACK AND DINE HERE! On the other hand, The bar in front of the hotel was way better than the restaurant.

Yelp
**If I could give zero stars, I would.** My friends and I decided to have dinner before a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. We ordered a lot; food, cocktails, and even a bottle of wine. The waiter told us we needed to place our order before 5 p.m. because the kitchen and bar would close, but reassured us we could stay to finish everything. Yet, at 5:45, the manager started to rudely kick us out. We explained we still had a lot of food and asked if we could at least finish our expensive bottle of wine. He threatened to call security if we didn't leave. This place is incredibly disrespectful. The entire experience was disgusting--from the attitude of the staff to dirty glasses and awful service. Go here if you're looking for a horrible night out and a bad mood afterward.

Yelp
Really fun club! We got a table at Highlight Room for my birthday last month and we had a blast. It's more of a table club, and like any other club it can get pretty packed. We came on a Saturday night and they played a lot of throwback hip hop beats so that was a pleasant surprise. Bottle service was extremely expensive and that is the only reason I'm taking away one star. So four stars for the layout, the music, the service and the stunning vibes all night. The later at night, the more sloppy it's gets pretty quickly and people at the next door table kept on bringing people to their section and eventually started taking over our space. If you want to dance and have a blast, check out the Highlight room!

Yelp
I came here with a few friends before catching a show at the Pantages Theatre, and we dined on the rooftop. The view was stunning--perfect for photos with the Hollywood sign and the sunset in the background. The servers were polite and helpful, though the drinks were a bit of a letdown. A couple of friends had to get theirs remade due to issues like not enough alcohol or being prepared incorrectly (especially the espresso martini and lemon sour), but the staff was accommodating and quickly provided new ones. Prices are on the higher side, so that's something to keep in mind. The food, however, was delicious and flavorful--we had the pasta, and it did not disappoint, except the spicy part Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I'd go back... if my wallet allows it! Parking was valet for $25, so plan accordingly :)

Yelp
Amazing Service & the both Fish Dishes epic. Thank you. We will be back. We just randomly picked this roof top bar in Hollyweird & before a Tom Petty celebration

Yelp
Located on the top floor of a lovely hotel on a street parallel to Hollywood Boulevard. The restaurant is beautifully designed with lots of plants, comfortable seating, and fabulous views. The menu had way too many delicious options. We requested info on four ingredients we didn't recognize. I recall that one was a long pasta, one was a soft flaky fish (which I ordered- but I sure can't tell you what it was), another was cheese. We were not disappointed. The service was spectacular. we were there for an hour and a half and did not feel rushed. Anything we requested was at the table lickety-split. The ice cream sundae was a lovely and to a healthy and meal. The ice cream is made fresh as are the garnishes. Scrumptious. The sole thing they could have done better is an embellishment on the cappuccino. I did feel a wee bit disappointed to not see a pretty design. It was delicious.

Yelp
Solid old fashioned an amazing view of the city they also gave someone I was with free ice cream on their birthday. Come for the drinks and the view. I have not tried their food but at a place like this I would stick to appetizers.

Yelp
Took the family out to brunch in Hollywood before we watched Hamilton. This spot was walking distance away from Pantages. The view was amazing and the rooftop in Hollywood had fresh air. Food was pretty good and service was excellent. We plan to come back and spend the night at the hotel below.

Yelp
Visited LA and we decided to come here for lunch one day excited for the views! The vibe was chill and the views were amazing. I was extremely happy with the food. I had the breakfast burrito and thought it was one of the best burritos I had. My friend had a chocolate chip pancake and it looked great! There were a couple of things that brought my rating of this place down. One was that their internet was down that morning and they could not accept any CC's. Then, making it slightly worse, they started off saying they would not have change until the bartender arrived, which thankfully came in not too long after that. Their outdoor space was closed for construction, so that sucked. However, what brought the rating back up was the service. They were really apologetic and tried their best to make the experience better. Rating: 7/10 Recommendations: Burrito!

Yelp
Poorly managed restaurant with atrocious customer service skills. I'm a Hyatt globalist and came for breakfast at 10:30am. It was very empty at the restaurant. Their breakfast ends at 11am. We weren't greeted and several other parties were also standing around at the host stand awaiting setting. Finally, one of them asked and was told it was self searing so we all seated ourselves. We weren't greeted, given menus or offered water for 20 minutes. Finally, I grabbed a menu and eventually was greeted by a server at 10:50 who said it was now lunch service and globalist breakfast would not be honored. She said she would confirm with her manager and he would come speak with us. We waited another 10 minutes for him to cover over to tell us breakfast was now over as it was 11am! I was FREAKING pissed as we were there seated at 10:30am. I 100% believe they lag to avoid the breakfast included with Hyatt stays as a globalist. When I explained kindly that we had been there since 10:30, he shrugged and offered NO APOLOGY and said to take it up with the hotel! I've never experienced this sad pathetic level of service in my life. As much as I loved the hotel itself, the restaurant is worth avoiding at all costs. I'll be following up with a formal complaint to Hyatt corporate since this establishment gives them a very bad look when it's not their fault the manager is garbage.

Yelp
Like coming here for brunch. Open bar and seatings available. When the weather is nice, this is a great visit. They play music which is nice (not too loud). Had their mimosas, nice!! Me and friends enjoy coming here. I also came for a private event, sooo much fun.

Yelp
food was OK but service was terrible. Not very accommodating and our server was nonexistent. She could care less for the table. Was also Charged for an OJ that was never received. (We didn't bother asking for it taken off so that's on us.) Place is really pretty but the service was the worst I have ever had. This was for brunch on a Saturday. If you appreciate good service take your business elsewhere because this place is not it

Yelp
Ive visited the highlight room before for brunch years ago but my review is based on my recent visit. I decided to drop by with a couple coworkers Friday after dinner. All of security said Matt is the one we needed to speak to so I finally got an opportunity to do so. I said "hi I just want to have a couple drinks, we just left La Mesa Lounge down the street" he said "yeah everyone has the same aspirations, I'll let you know what your options are in a minute" a groups of guys by the rope were getting ready to go in overheard and laughed. BTW, i stood there's for about 10-15 mins realizing there was no way I'm going to spend my money here where I'm already being dissed as a patron. I have never been humiliated but realized this old man has been in the industry for awhile, so out of respect for my elders I just kept it pushing. BTW, I've heard horror stories but I figured I've visited for brunch before but perhaps because I had reservations that's why. At night it's like Vegas- totally different experience. There was tons of people trying to get in but he was selective on who he could bring in. You can tell belt the reviews; 85% of them are great reviews based on brunch or daytime visits, not surprised because I have had a great experience for brunch however nightlife is literally 0/5. I hope my review isn't taken down because this is truly what my experience was no exaggeration. Here is a tip if your dropping money for bottle service that's the only way you'll get in, doubt they allow anyone else in other than table service but you can be the judge of that.

Yelp
Gurl... no. Just no. Embarrassingly bad. Charging $1 / Oz for diet soda!? Gtfo. Charging for each cup of Diet Pepsi ($4) which comes in a tumbler size cup. AND trying to charge us for two of them that didn't even come!? The audacity. Food.. terrible. I can cook a better steak and salmon fillet myself at home. The fish was under cooked. FYI fish should flake off with a fork. If it's still translucent inside, that means it's not done yet. The steak was not pink. I guess it was technically "medium rare" because the internal temperature I'm sure was in fact medium rare. But it was brown throughout. Steak should be charred on the outside and pink in the inside. Not brown throughout. Cook doesn't know how to cook steak. Either the meat was old or they didn't let it rest before slicing. The fries were over cooked. Hard. And were room temperature when they arrived at the table. I swear they were bought out of a frozen food section at a grocery store and heated up in the oven. How can you over cook fries and them still be cold? Food - amateur, Service - underwhelming. Must be understaffed, drinks remained empty through the entree. Got one refill during appetizers and then empty cups for the rest of the meal. Of course then they tried to charge us for those refills, sorry, not refills because they charge $4 for every 4oz of Diet Pepsi. Appalling on every front. Oh, and the bathrooms were flooded, toilet paper was empty. Shards of TP all over the ground. Sinks dirty. Eww And they were playing the worst hip hop. During dinner? Really? Not the vibe. Ghetto AF. Would not go again nor recommend. You can literally have the same meal at home microwaved. And if you have basic cooking knowledge you can cook a better salmon fillet and steak on your stovetop at home. And you can refill your own Diet Pepsi yourself from your fridge and it won't cost you $4 an ounce!!! 0 stars. Embarrassingly bad.

Yelp
I've been here several times, and it's a consistent spot. It used to be more impressive than it is, but it got the job done. We came here after scoping out some event venues in the area and had a quick lunch before returning to the office. Love the views; you can see a good portion of Hollywood from this rooftop. The food is decent, although overpriced. It's not genuinely farm-to-table, but they try adding some fresh choices. It's an excellent casual spot that can get nightclub vibes on evenings and weekends. I have been to both lunch and brunch here now, never the pool area or during the clubby times, but may do so sometime in the future. The folks here, during the day, are usually tourists or locals who come to meet up or hang out during the day--I noticed several people at the pool just laying out for a tan. This place is worth a visit for several occasions, from business meetings to get-togethers with friends. It's not ideal for a date situation or super family-friendly with kids, though, unless you like it to be on the loud and busy side. FYI- in case it's not your vibe once you get up there, there is another rooftop just across the street, Mama Shelter, which is also a hotel but doesn't have a pool. I've noticed it's been used for album release parties, among other celeb events, over the years.

Brandon D.

Yelp
I love this rooftop space. Great bar, maybe the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had. Awesome music that was just enough to vibe but we could easily hear everyone at our table, and that's important to me. It may have been an 'off' day but the service was just ok, not very attentive. Lots of smiles, great food, even better drinks, but for medium high dollar, I expect more attentive service for water, comfort, etc. Servers seemed to spend more time talking to each other than watching tables. Again, might have been a low traffic time. Service= C, but food, ambiance, drinks, perfect music volume=A+ so I'll definitely go back.
google avatar

Marti M.

Yelp
The food was good. It was very loud. And the sun was beaming on our faces. They weren't able to accommodate our request to move umbrellas to cover the sun
google avatar

Alysa C.

Yelp
We stopped by this place just for a quick bite! It's a beautiful rooftop with equally beautiful food presentation! I found the breakfast burrito a little too greasy for my liking but everything else was super yummy

Tina K.

Yelp
Decided to check out the night life at this place. Dj was ok till he started replaying songs:/ security at the door is too busy flirting with/disrespecting girls instead of doing their job to manage the line. Drinks are subpar for the price. Way too many "influencers" in the crowd and not enough real people which kills the vibe coz all they do is keep cameras in your face and fake it all night‍! 3stars for location/views but otherwise just meh.
google avatar

Stephan M.

Yelp
This spot is definitely a Hollywood hotspot that's super exclusive and not to easy to get in it's like you really have to know people to get into this spot and less just say the highlight room owed me nothing such a good vibe even caught a few of celebs in this spot partying low key
google avatar

Isabelle S.

Yelp
The best part of this restaurant is the ambiance, amazing views all around. It's located on the 10th floor of the hotel behind their pool area, nice outdoor setting with good coverage from the sun. The food was okay. Not great but not bad either. The salt and vinegar chips had little to no flavor on them, just tasted like fried chips. Food is over priced for what it is but you're paying for the ambiance. The drinks were very good though, I highly recommend their chili paloma! I was disappointed in the service. The people were very kind but the host/waitress were unorganized and confusing about our seating. One of the workers kept on coming by asking if he could take our plates when we still had food on them.. we felt like we were being rushed to get out. I do want to try this place again, hopefully it'll be a better experience.

Yelp
Our visit to this restaurant was not what we expected, as you can guess from their rating. When we arrived, the staff seemed unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome. Despite this, we tried to enjoy our time together. However, things went downhill when our waiter accidentally spilled a drink on one of us and didn't even apologize. Later, when we tried to order dinner, we were told it was last call for food and drink. We managed to place our orders on the spot, but then we were told the kitchen was closed, leaving us confused and frustrated. It was baffling that such a thing could happen at any restaurant. When we asked to speak to the manager, she promised to remove a round of drinks from our bill, but this was not the case when we received the bill. She only removed one drink, which our waiter had brought to us by mistake, and he promptly took it away. When we called her for a second time, things got even more interesting. Instead of helping or explaining why she did that, she involved security to ensure we paid our bill, which felt extremely disrespectful and left us feeling locked in the restaurant. Who does that? This was the most disrespectful behavior from their staff! No wonder their reviews are like this! They all need to learn the basics of customer service. Please don't waste your money here

Yelp
What a great place! Gorgeous views of the Hollywood Hills and skyline, delicious food and pretty setting. The rooftop is all open so well ventilated if CoVid numbers go up. Service was very attentive and food was beautifully presented. Beware: valet is $30 so take a Lyft/Uber!!

Yelp
Service was TERRIBLE!! Me & my friends were trying to go to the restaurant here for my 24th birthday and the host was so rude and treated us like a joke. Do NOT come here. I never write bad reviews and let me say this place is terrible the people here act extremely snobby & act like they're too good to let you come in. The host immediately said " where do you think you're going" I said the restaurant??? COMPLETE JOKE 0/10 !!

Yelp
Order: old fashion, margarita add cucumber & straw berry, calamari, CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH STONE GROUND MUSTARD SLAW SRIRACHA AIOLI, PICKLES, HERB FRIES Pros: well the view is spectacular lol!!! That damn Chicken sandwich is soooooo good. I f'd that damn bird up lol. Now they gave us pinch of fries and they were thin but everything was really good. Now this margarita with cucumber and strawberry is so darn good and refreshing. Sigh I was racking up the bill lol. Cons: hate the cocktail was served in a plastic cup... Parking is a hoot I suggest valet. Calamari was ok. The sauce that came on the side tasted like mayo. The calamari was tossed tossed in seasoning but not fried.

Yelp
Great ambience Recommend sitting outside for great views including the Hollywood sign They have covered areas to avoid direct sun Excellent service! Highly recommend for any occasion

Yelp
The Highlight Room is on the rooftop of the Dream Hotel and part of Tao Group Hospitality. They serve fresh California Fare. For brunch we made reservations at noon on New Year Day. There is metered street parking, valet at Dream, and lot parking nearby. The 360-degree views of the Hollywood hills and buildings from this restaurant are beautiful! The ambiance is pretty. For brunch we ordered avocado toast ($20) and chicken and waffles ($26). The avocado toast came on pumpernickel with avocado, feta, heirloom tomato, and sherry vinaigrette. For $20, it came on the smallest, thinnest slice of toast ever, with a regular sliced tomato on top. The math wasn't mathin' on this one. My partner said his chicken was a little under seasoned, not crispy or crunchy with a regular waffle, nothing special but was good. Service was great!

Alex J.

Yelp
We went on a Friday night and we were denied access because we weren't on the "guest list" which is obviously made up because they let white women in front of us go without even blinking. There were men of color that were denied access at first until they paid a cover fee (which no other men - all white - were asked to pay). Racists

Yelp
I came back a year later and was pleasantly surprised to have Ally as my server again! She connects with customers so effortlessly and everyone - no matter who I'm with - absolutely adores her. Thank you Ally for a wonderful dining experience as usual The views at this restaurant are absolutely beautiful and the food is always delicious!

Yelp
My stay was OK. The staff wasn't that accommodating & rude/unprofessional. Terrible room service & terrible customer service. Not just one staff member, multiple were rude. I liked the shower inside of my room (although there wasn't a bath) & I thought the hotel was convenient/near many popular places/restaurants in LA. The location is the best thing about the hotel itself. Not the design or anything. I don't think the rate per night was worth it. There's other hotels with better rooms for the same price. The swimming pool was clean & there was 1 elevator for lazy people like me who don't want to walk to the pool. You still have to take the elevator from your room & walk to the next elevator by the pool. It's sort of a far walk, but it wasn't too much. There wasn't a jacuzzi so that was disappointing. I'm going to only rate 2 stars because the restaurant upstairs had some of the BEST fish tacos I've ever had 5/5. The flavor it had & the sauce was 5/5. The restaurant upstairs & pool was probably the highlight of my stay. The way the restaurant worked was strange. I almost missed my flight back home because of how long they took to make my food (25+ minutes) & I thought the way it was ran was odd. To order from the restaurant/be seated you had to scan a barcode with your phone but as someone who doesn't have their phone charged all the time/has bad service sometimes I wished I was able to just order without all of that nonsense. I'm unsure if I would come back for fish tacos. I wouldn't stay here again, if anything l I would only come back to the restaurant upstairs to get fish tacos.

Yelp
The food was horrendous. I didn't expect much given the reviews here but, my was it bad. All the food looked like it was leftovers rewarmed. My Caesar salad was approximately $36 as I got the shrimp add on. It was clear the salad was taken from someone's scraps as it had multiple pieces of chewed up chicken when chicken wasn't supposed to be in it.... My shrimp were cold extremely hard and rubbery. Grossest shrimp ever it was clearly reheated and like three days old. All my colleagues who ate there as well remarked their food was lukewarm and greasy. Honestly LA Health Department should check them out it was that disturbing. We spent in total around $600 not to mention we weren't checked on once by service. I will say great location and views though.

Yelp
It was a Friday night we were out celebrating a friend's Bday. Had bottle service at B&E, had a great night. Left at 12:45am and decided to walk to Highlight room to continue the night. The manager/people on the door stopped us from entering saying we need to get a table for our group to get in. Its already close to 1am and they close at 2am. First I thought it was weird then I realized he did not want us to get in and was just being racist. We were group of 8 south asians. They would let everyone in but our group due to color of our skin. Now after reading other incidents of racism in the reviews I just got validation that they indeed were racist towards us and did not us there. If you are person of color do not go there, they will ill treat YOU! This place does not deserve YOU. Stay away, there are better rooftops in the area where you can have a great time.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. The place is a vibe that's for sure, it's roof top and had a pool and cabanas for guest to rent. The restaurant is on the other side of the pool. Beautiful views of LA. But the food and drinks took entirely too long to come out, and when we got them the drinks were weak and the food was eh. Sunday they only serve brunch all day. I paid 18 bucks for guacamole on toast- not it! My friends got the chicken and waffles and Chicken sandwich and the chicken was OK they said. If you want to take some cool photos for the view then sure but if you want to eat good food I'd pass.

Yelp
The view is great, and the food is garbage. You've heard that song before, I'm sure, but in this case it's exactly right, and you come here for the view. The view is the alpha and omega of the thing, and what a view it is: Hollywood sign, DTLA, you name it. But damn the food. Nothing is exceptional, the menu isn't interesting, prices are high (because the location and view), and portions are insultingly small (tomato soup could fit in a thimble). I recommend you get a burger elsewhere and then come up here for the drinks - they're pricey but at least are made of liquid - and their mocktails are quite nice.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for lunch in Hollywood. Located on the rooftop of the Dream Hotel. The place screams great vibrations. When you first walk in you step into a mood. It's like a movie you have seen before that takes place in Hollywood, Ca. The pool with cabanas, cocktails, and people basin in the sun. Then you walk towards the back to the restaurant where your greeted with a smile. It just makes you feel great just to be there. The restaurant is chic with a simplistic design. Servers are in casual uniformed summer wear. The male staff had a peach linen short sleeve shirts with khaki pants. The women with cute colorful sun dresses. My server was making it his own by adding gold rimmed Ray bans; which for me was just the icing on the cake. Very trendy and very chic! He is actually one of my favorite servers there so far! He was not only attentive, but had a fabulous attitude! He was informative, and just all around fantastic! It was my colleagues first time there and he made her experience tubular! I have to mention the hostess as well. She was so sweet and engaging. So now to the food. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. I have it before and it never disappoints. Stone ground mustard slaw, sriracha aïoli, and pickles on a black seeded brioche bun. It comes with string fries. I'm not a fan of string fries, but they add herbs to them which enhances it. Basically gives it more character. My colleague had the Mezze. Some would say it's crudités, but this is the elite of crudités. Vibrante fresh market vegetables...purple/yellow/orange carrots, asparagus, yellow bush scallop summer squash, rainbow blend cauliflower, cucumbers, heirloom purple radishes. They sat in a simplistic bowl earthed in ice. It came with grilled flat bread, lovely whipped feta cheese, and muhammura. If you don't know what it is well its a spicy dip made of walnuts, red bell peppers, pomegranate molasses, and breadcrumbs. So yummy; especially when you put it all together. Just pure eye candy this dish is. If you don't like veggies; it will make you want to try it because of its radiant appeal to the eyes. Lastly, the view! One of the best views in Los Angeles. This view is just epic. Almost a complete 360 view. I recommend this place to anyone who wants the experience, view, taste, and ambience!

Yelp
Food and drinks always on point. Service is always immaculate and the hotel is the best Hollywood has to offer.

Yelp
I'll break this review down to 3 simple parts. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The good- *conveniently located in one of hollywoods trendiest hotels. *great views from the rooftop *great service *pretty people The bad *food portions - very small *we were served cold flash fried calamari. It felt like a plate that had been returned and we just happen to order the same dish. It was lacking in all aspects. Don't recommend. *wedge salad w chicken. Nothing out of this world. The chicken that it came with was a chicken breast cutlet the size of my palm which was served at room temperature. *roasted chicken plate which came w 1/4 piece of roasted chicken (best thing served all around) with 4 fingerling potatoes and a handful of cherry tomatoes. The Ugly *after a disappointing meal with fabulous views the worst was yet to come. And that ladies and gentlemen was a price tag meal of over $150 which essentially wasnt worth more than $40 Needless to say I will not be returning. And if I do it's only for sunset cocktails on the beautiful rooftop.

Yelp
we had such high hopes and expectations for this restaurant rooftop bar. We literally drove an hour and a half to get here, but unfortunately, it was a total dud - avoid at all cost. The drinks are only juice. The food mediocre at best really appalled service was okay.. we ordered five of the appetizers plus a salad. Everything was disappointing. We tried two different types of drinks disappointing as well. We left feeling disappointed overall just a very disappointing experience.

Yelp
My breakfast spot for Monday morning about 2 blocks from my hotel. Rooftop dinning with great views! My server was friendly and accommodating. They didn't have any tea selections which was kind of weird so I went with a vanilla latte. Not a fan of coffee so I only took a few sips of it. My avocado toast and frisk egg where perfect.

Yelp
BEN IS AMAAZING!! So sad to see him leaving this location! He makes an original drink that I've ordered for the past over a year called the Spicy Blackberry Margarita!!! I can only order this from him because he's the only person that makes it SO GOOD!!!! we had an issue with reservations, but because of his hospitality we gotta give highlight room a 5 star.

Yelp
This place was breathtaking. The views were outstanding. We stopped in for breakfast. Service was ok, took a while for us to be greeted. I ordered a cucumber mint sparkler, it was delish and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered a mojito and he enjoyed it. He ordered a classic breakfast with turkey sausage and pumpernickel toast. That was the best turkey sausage I've ever had. Toast was great, the roasted potatoes had rosemary on them and they were fantastic. I'm not a big potato person but I couldn't stop eating these! Only negative was he ordered his eggs over easy and they were over cooked. I ordered the seasonal quiche. It was good but a little more gravy like than a traditional quiche. It has bacon, mushrooms, chives and mozzarella cheese. Again the views were great, the bathroom was super cool too with amazing views as well. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Spent $1100 for two bottles at the beginning of the night. They only brought the second bottle when we reminded them at 1:40a, 20 min before closing. To top it off, we waited for 20 min at the rooftop elevator to go home at 2am, to find out none of the three elevators were working. They made all of us walk down TEN stories in heels. Audacity.
