"When you need a break from city life, head to this postcard-perfect farm just 30 minutes south of the airport for a quick getaway. In addition to Serenbe’s darling accommodations, petting zoo, and full events calendar, its cuisine is a star attraction. The rustic Hill wows with flavor-packed salads and seafood dishes accentuated with legumes and leafy things fetched from the grounds. But surprisingly, it’s the restaurant’s pizza (especially a steak philly one topped with peppers and onions) that may be most incredible. The chunky ingredients and charred-just-right crust are enough to have you contemplate taking a sick day so you can do it all again tomorrow." - DeMarco Williams

We visited to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was amazing, the food, service and atmosphere. Victoria, our sever was great! She was attentive, friendly, offered suggestions and let us relax and enjoy our dinner. It was a nice change for the dinner we had the night before when we took our daughter out for her birthday at a comparably restaurant in Fayetteville. We even got a card from the host that the staffed had signed! Such a great touch. It is wonderful to find places that still have amazing service, great food and go the extra mile to make an impression.

Wanted to give 5 stars as their pics & reviews are great. We got there after brunch close to 3pm. And they were serving a limited menu. We should’ve left because the limited menu isn’t close to what we wanted on the dinner menu. I feel if we would’ve come to dinner we would’ve gotten the choices we wanted. We stayed and ordered wine, wedge salad and wings. The salad was basic so I added onions. The honey vinaigrette was delicious. Iceberg lettuce is nothingness. The salad still tasted well just didn’t love the value/selection. Wings flavors didn’t pop. Honey garlic was ok but sweet & spicy weren’t sweet or spicy. A bit pricey for what we got but we plan to come back for dinner to update this review. Restrooms very nice/clean.

Who doesn't love a nice afternoon in Serenbe? The food here is excellent. I have visited three times and it's always excellent. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all very casual, yet upscale, and elegant. We ordered the steak and salmon salad, preceded by the deviled eggs and the veal meatballs. Every single dish was delicious, well-prepared, and presented. We also got the bread service and overindulged in their warm yeast rolls. I can still taste every bite as I write this review. I highly recommend a visit to The Hill. Reservations are a must!

I've been to Serenbe before but never tried this restaurant. When I first walked in, I was greeted, and the decor was nice. The entire ambiance was set for an enjoyable evening if you were planning to stay and eat. I ended up getting take out, and I really loved that they knew who I was before I even said anything about coming to pick up my order! They addressed me by name before handing me over the bill to sign! Excellent customer service. I ordered the deviled eggs, salad with champagne dressing, grilled salmon, collard greens, and horseradish mashed potatoes. As the ingredients come from the farm, you could taste how fresh everything was! However, I found the deviled eggs had too much mustard in them, and the champagne dressing had too much acid for my tasting. If these 2 components were minimized, both of these dishes would have been perfect. I thought the salmon was cooked perfectly, but I wanted it rare and was expecting more of this to show in the meat. I felt it was cooked medium or medium rare, so this was my only ding. Other than that, the texture and seasoning were excellent! The mashed potatoes were creamy, and the collards were good but not put your foot in them good. There were a few items I wanted to try that weren't available for takeout, so I will definitely stay and eat next time so I can try them. You won't be disappointed with your meal but for the full experience, I would suggest eating on site.

We had a lovely time here. The Mood Indigo cocktail was so pretty & a total chef’s kiss. The chicken dish & Italian pie were packed with flavors. We ended our meal with the sticky toffee pudding - so yum! 🩷 Special thanks to Christie, our waitress.

Google
The food was okay. Service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. We had a party of 15. 3 people had to leave because of a medical emergency for one of our party (not related to anything at the restaurant) just before the food arrived. Wait staff didn't seem to notice or question why 3 people left and didn't touch their food. Still billed for the 3 untouched meals that we didn't take home because everyone rushed to the hospital after eating.

This place has great food and amazing service. The veal meatballs were delicious. The lemon blueberry cheesecake with the lemon cookie crust is s must. They run out of it so come early. It's worth it.

Google
Outstanding food and cocktails. The service was excellent, plus our waitress was very attentive of our toddler in keeping the pace of dishes coming out and placing plates out of her reach (minor things but shows attention to detail). Wish we hadn't waited until our last day in town to try The Hill, would have eaten every meal there had we known how good it would be.

Yelp
My husband and I happened upon The Hill right when we they opened at 5pm on a Thursday evening. The hostess greeted us immediately and sat us outside as requested. She told us we had come at the right time since we didn't have reservations. The restaurant has a cozy ambience perfect for a romantic dinner while also having a homey vibe ideal for family night out. Our server Glori was phenomenal. She explained that their food comes from sustainable and locally sourced growers and includes seasonal organic vegetables from Serenbe Farms. This was right up my alley because I love farm to table restaurants. We ordered the airline chicken and pork chop entrees. Both were absolutely delicious. I did the happy dance! For dessert, we ordered the brownie ala mode. Oh my goodness!!!! Perfect for 2-3 and so good. It also comes in an edible chocolate bowl which we couldn't eat because we were so full. We teased that we had eaten a pre-anniversary dinner, which isn't for several months. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I recently had an outstanding dining experience at The Hill, and I can't help but share the highlights of my visit! The bread basket, featuring honey butter, yeast rolls, and jalapeno cornbread muffins, was a delightful start, setting the stage for what turned out to be a culinary adventure. The crab dip was a true standout--loaded with generous portions of crab and paired perfectly with the accompanying bread. The main course was equally impressive; the chicken with a flavorful mushroom sauce and sweet potatoes was a true taste sensation. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. My mom ordered the scallops, which she described as melting in your mouth like butter. Not to forget the finale--the sticky toffee pudding. A dessert that would make Gordon Ramsay proud, it was the perfect sweet note to end a fantastic meal. Our waiter, Nick, played a pivotal role in making this dining experience memorable. Incredibly friendly and armed with useful recommendations, he added a personal touch that enhanced our overall enjoyment. I would highly recommend The Hill for a pleasurable dining experience!

Yelp
n the main part of town, the Hill at Serenbe sits perched on a corner like a beacon! Entering the Hill at Serenbe, you're greeted with a cozy, home-like ambiance to enjoy your wait, while the dining room next to the entrance is full of windows. We were treated to one of the best, most phenomenal meals we've had all year along with top notch service and stellar cocktails. The Hill prides themselves on bring fresh and local meats and produce from surrounding farms and that shows in their flavorful dishes! Starting with one of the best steaks John or I have ever had, it starts with a juicy, thick cut piece of filet, perfectly cooked inside and a slight char out. Seasoned and doused in a creamy, sultry, herbaceous butter and a rich and deep house made port glaze on the side. It just melts in your mouth and runs a gamut of amazing flavors. Paired it with the Pineapple Bonfire, a slightly smoky mezcal cocktail balanced with spicy jalapeño for a little bit of a kick and tangy, sweet pineapple. The perfect pair! For our starters, we opted for Bread Service, Chorizo and Elote Fritters, as well as Deviled Eggs. Starting with the Bread Service, the bread is fluffy, sweet, and light, slightly crisp outside. The compound butter served on the side is light and airy, sweet and a slight spice.Next up the Deviled eggs are super sharp, rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor then topped with salty trout roe that gives it a pop and an herbaceous, tangy dill oil. These are some of the best Deviled Eggs we've ever had! Another must try is the Chorizo and Elote fritters. They are spicy, earthy, creamy inside and crunchy outside, while the jalapeño aioli gives it a tang. The other entrée we thoroughly enjoyed is the Pan Seared Porkshire Pork chop. It is a bone-in chop that is filleted into a sweet and meaty, yet tender cut of meat. The Honey mustard jus brightened it up and gives it a tang, while underneath the creamed brussels and spinach is charred, earthy, and creamy. Wowzer. We paried this with the Selbourne Blossom cocktail. It is an herbaceous gin cocktail with cool and sweet muddled strawberry, earthy basil syrup, and bitter Aperol for balance.

Yelp
Food was ok. Our server didn't ask us if we were ready for the check. He just brought it. Coffee? Dessert? Nope. Not the "warm, gracious atmosphere" advertised. Gruff, diner-type service.

Nia G.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to visit is Serenbe! The Hill speaks to the upbeat and funky vibe we often look for. this restaurant offers an innovative, but changing menu. The personal size pizza is much larger than you would think, prepared to get a to go box, but could also be split between two. The cocktail menu is a delight with many options to choose from- offering mocktails too! Eating out on the patio is a great option on cooler days but during the summer, it is often best to get reservations for a table inside. Don't forget to keep up with the time as they may close during the afternoon to prepare for their dinner guests.

Julissa B.

Yelp
Beautiful setting! Came here in a Sunday and we started off with the empanadas. They where delicious! We then moved on to the pizza and steak and wish both our entrees had more flavor to them. Nothing special about the pizza or steak. Plus our server disappeared and we had to ask another one for our check. Will not be returning.

Pierre F.

Yelp
They have been increasing prices very aggressively. And the portions can be small. But the staff is pleasant and the atmosphere is good. And the terrace is lovely. Their cooking is improving with meals coked correctly. They know how to fry well.

Brittany M.

Yelp
Came here with friends and I must say I really enjoyed myself ! The customer service was amazing ! Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I enjoyed all of the food. I had never had pork belly and it was really good. Everyone enjoyed their food as well. It was quite busy in there but we still got great service. My fav was the sticky toffee pudding. The atmosphere was lively and friendly. The linen on the table was clean and crisp super clean restrooms were clean. The only thing I would say I wasn't too crazy about the drinks . They were super strong.I would definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Yelp
I am a firm believer restaurants should have friendly employees and The Hill's employees left a bad taste in our mouths. We ordered two pizzas, two fries, salmon meal and the two soups of the day for pick up. Seems pretty easy...nope! They packaged our fries in one box instead of two separate orders. The bar tender became visibly annoyed when we asked him to separate. We got to the house and we separated the items and went on our way. The pizza wasn't even the correct pizza and only one of us could eat. So we ate the items we could based off dietary restrictions. The food wasn't bad but the lack of attention and bad service left an impression and it wasn't good.

Lora k.

Yelp
First off, the ambiance is very nice and the community is very upscale and beautiful. Go there for the setting. Do not go there for the food. This place went straight downhill after chef Hilary White left. The food is shockingly bad considering the location and the price. The Emperor is wearing no clothes! If you must go for any reason other than the food, stick to the burger and the pizza. Do not venture off those two choices. You will regret it. We once had a charcuterie board that had unidentifiable items and was so bad we just sent it back. Inedible! Shrimp is clearly not wild and remained translucent even when sent it back for more grilling! That happens with chemically treated shellfish. Also inedible! Just stick to the burger or the pizza and at least you won't leave the place completely hungry. But one good thing is you won't have trouble saving room for the brownie sundae which is huge and actually good. Be wary and consider yourself forewarned!

Barrie H.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I had the salmon on top of the Caesar salad. The dressing was perfectly balanced. There was even a beautiful anchovy. The crisp croutons were freshly-made and delicious. The salmon was lightly seasoned, and I could taste little zings of flaked salt and fresh cracked pepper. My friend had the scallops, which were perfectly cooked, and kissed with the lightest seasoning allowing the flavor of the scallop to shine. I also ordered the jumbo asparagus. Next time I go, I will ask for a little extra Caesar dressing to dip the asparagus. The bread basket was delicious. I really loved the cornbread. Our server was very personable and attentive. The only thing that was not good was the coffee. It was served barely lukewarm, and tasted bleh; I couldn't finish it. All-in-all, The Hill was lovely and offered a really beautiful dining experience.

Shaunda H.

Yelp
Was so looking forward to coming here to try the food. Called to order pizza to pick it up. Got there, and the pizza wasn't ready. I said, "lost our ticket," or drop the ticket. Either way, it didn't get back to kitchen had to make it. Waited for a while, got it, and it was cold. I was very confused if it was just made. Why was it cold? Disappointed to say the least.

Phyllis M.

Yelp
Service was terrific! Ambiance good. Food is delicious, but ya might need to grab a cheeseburger after. It's all about the "pretty plating".....not serving sizes.

Bri E.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately they seated us over 35 minutes late for our reservation. I don't understand the purpose of reserving at that point. The food was so-so, but our drinks were tasty. Server was a heavy-set older gentleman, who sweat profusely the entirety of our meal. Not appetizing to say the least. He also had a snarky attitude when he messed up one of my girlfriends' pizza orders (we were there celebrating her birthday). He kept saying two of the pizza options were the same. Painful to watch. He was refusing to admit that he placed the incorrect type of pizza to be made, until we asked for the menu back and pointed out that they were separate options. He didn't even apologize. I won't be going back. I can get good atmosphere and drinks elsewhere for 1/2 the price and with friendlier service, closer to home.

Kay L.

Yelp
This was a lovely restaurant where we were able to celebrate my husband's birthday. We ate on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful evening dinner. The food was spectacular.

Alicia S.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere and food! Parking can be a challenge in Serenbe so arrive early.

Jana B.

Yelp
We came in as a group of 25 last week. The service and the food were all amazing! Don't leave without trying the sticky toffy pudding. Trust me! The town is the cutest place ever! Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I've dined at The Hill quite a few times over the past few years, it's always a good experience and this time was no different. We walked in without reservations on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately. Our waiter Joel A. (pronounced Jo-elle) was a delight! He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered any questions we had with ease, even suggesting some of his favorites. Every time we dine in, the menu is different as they change it out seasonally but there's always amazing dishes to choose from. For our cocktails we decided on a Mado Mule: Ketel One vodka, St Elder, Lime, Fever Tree Ginger Beer, and Rasperries ($16) and a Selborne Saints: Farmer's Organic Gin, Elderberry, Lime, Rosemary, Sage, and Cucumber($16). The Mado Mule was delicious, I could definitely taste the ginger which I love. The Selborne Saints however, not so much. Compared to the mule it was plain and not worth $16. As entrees we chose the Hill Burger with House Grind, Serenbe Sauce, Bacon Jam, American Cheese, Sea Salted Bun, and Pommes Frites ($19) The Hill Fried Chicken with Pomme Puree, Collards, and House Made Hot Sauce($27) also a cheese pizza for the kids, and a side of fries. The cheese pizza came out first and it definitely wasn't kid size. It was the size of a normal medium size pizza and oh so good!! My husband says the burger was fantastic even though he decided to get it without the bacon jam. My dish, the hill fried chicken wasn't one of their best dishes unfortunately. It came with a leg and a thigh, which our waiter explained could differ depending on which day you dine in. Some days you may get 2 breasts, a wing and breast, a thigh and wing, etc. The chicken was topped with their house made hot sauce which made the skin soggy and didn't taste any different from the typical store bought hot sauce. The collards and pomme puree were good but nothing special. The star of the night was definitely the pizza. This may be our new go to spot when pizza cravings hit! Their summer menu with lighter options will be available in about another week and I'll be sure to stop by again to see what's new at The Hill.

Paulina A.

Yelp
The Hill is centrally located in Serenbe with a beautiful patio for outdoor seating. I came here for lunch with my mom and enjoyed the Grilled salmon with farro and mixed greens. It was very fresh and organic, but would have preferred it to be served hot. Service was top notch.

Quentin M.

Yelp
Great food. Very fresh and the service was excellent. Beautiful inside and out. We were out hiking and found this place and made our Sunday afternoon New Year's Day quite a treat.

Lorraine M.

Yelp
Amazing service. Great cocktail selection. Charcuterie was fabulous and plentiful. We sat outside under tree cover and enjoyed a beautiful relaxing couple of hours. Would go back again.

Chaz P.

Yelp
We visited Serenby Farms to have a photo shoot done. It was late in the evening and we stumbled upon this nice restaurant. We felt like we were kinda on the Titanic for dinner with the elegant ambiance of the dining room. Very comfortable cushioned booths and pillows were relaxing. We loved the jazz music and classical music they played as well. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. My rainbow trout was cooked just right. The pizza was good considering this was not a pizza joint. I also enjoyed my double espresso very much. We can't wait to come back to this area and bring our family and friends to enjoy what we have had the opportunity to enjoy.

Charvette S.

Yelp
This place is top notch!! The service was spot on and the food is amazing!! We really enjoyed the hot crab dip!!! Yummmm!! My husband enjoyed his burger!! The bun was so soft and lightly toasted. I had trout with a side of greens. The greens were a little tough and needed a little oil and salt, but other than that, the dish was very flavorful. Don't get me started on dessert!!! The creme brûlée and brownies were too tempting to remain faithful to KETO!!

Roslyn C.

Yelp
I have always loved the ease of making reservations and the relaxing ambiance of the Hill at Serenbe! This visit was for a belated Mother's Day brunch and it did not disappoint! We had the most beautiful charcuterie board I've ever seen along with some creative mixed cocktails! My friend had some dietary needs that were easily accommodated by our friendly server Kate! We ordered the shrimp and grits, catfish Sammy, salmon and avocado toast and it was all delicious! But the charcuterie was the star of the show and we could not stop talking about! I used to live in South Fulton and frequently visited but now it remains a must each time I get to have an extended stay in the Atlanta area.

Jamie G.

Yelp
One of my local go-to spots for dinner! We love dining at The Hill! Very nice dimly lit, intimate atmosphere. When crowded it can be a little loud but not too over powering. Great date night spot. Menu changes seasonally. Love that they try to source food items local and such. Would definitely recommend! Servers take good care of us!

Erin V.

Yelp
The pizza and the brownie bowl are the best things you can ever wish for. This place is the ideal place to eat if you want a fancy dinner that you can also bring young kids to.

Meg R.

Yelp
Attention travelers: The Hill is where you go for dinner in Serenbe! Reserve a table, grab your girls, your guys, your date, or your family and enjoy a breezy, farm-to-table meal on the patio or indoors at the bustling but surprisingly spacious dining room. High praise to DJ for the above and beyond service experience. Menu standouts include the wood fired pizzas (prosciutto for the win) and the seasonal vegetable plate. We will be back!

Gregory R.

Yelp
The restaurant had it all with a great Ambiance, professional friendly staff who believed in there food. We lucked out with the best server who really directed on what to order. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tolanda J.

Yelp
Tonight I had the wood grilled salmon and it was the worst meal that I have had in a VERY long time. The unflavored salmon sits atop some bland coconut rice with get this cucumber balls and chili flavored pineapple This dish needs to be compote vamped or taken off the menu. I left hungry and mad

Ashley W.

Yelp
I have always enjoyed going to The Hill. Typically the service is outstanding and the food is good. However, my experience tonight was very disheartening and disappointing. My husband and I decided to dine in tonight to celebrate my very first Mother's Day. I have been in a work conference all day so we decided to dine out. We arrived at 9:20 and my husband got out of the car first to ensure there was no wait and the make sure they were still serving. The hostess told him yes. He came back to the car and we got our one year old daughter and her stroller out and walked up the stairs. Before we could even enter the door the hostess stops us and states "oh I'm sorry they just told me the kitchen is closed. " I just stared at her in disbelief and turned around without saying anything. As we were leaving another gentleman walked in the door and was greeted and seated. I have an inkling of the reason we were turned around and to say the least it was hurtful and also a horrible start to my very first Mother's Day. I will not be returning.

Sam M.

Yelp
I've always heard cool things about the Serenbe community and decided to check it out. Along the way, my wife and I stopped at The Hill. They have a have a solid variety of items on their menu from pizzas to higher end expensive dishes like sea bass. The indoor dining room required reservations but decided to sit at the cozy bar. We ordered caprese salad and a buffalo chicken pizza . The caprese salad was wonderfully prepped with a pesto and argula. The pizza was one of the best I had in a while and it came with freshly shaved parm. Cocktail menu was solid. They carry a good assortment of beer but surprisingly nothing on draft. Our bartenders were great and very attentive. It's pretty cool how residents of the community can charge their house account.

Robyn L.

Yelp
I have been here before for brunch, but this time I visited with my friends for a bday celebration. I made reservations via Yelp a few weeks ago, which was really easy, and arrived on time for our meal. We didn't desígnate inside or out on the rezz, but the hostess made an accommodation and found a table for us outside. It was chilly and a little disappointed they didn't have heaters. I'm from Miami and get cold easily, but it was in the 60s and the temp was dropping. Also, the seasonal menu was still summer, even though labor weekend was a few weeks ago. The host that sat us brought a bday card signed by the staff, which was a nice surprise, and very sweet. We were greeted by our server and drink orders were taken. We also put in an order for Truffle Fries and a Margarita Pizza. This pizza would end up being my dinner- I ate the whole thing and it was yummy! My friends ordered a few plates which they shared and we all enjoyed the meal. After dinner we ordered hot drinks and tea. The coffees came well before the tea and when the server brought the tea to select, she did not have the hot water with her. It was another 5-10 mins before the hot water arrived. I feel like she should have timed that better- Maybe bring the hot water with the hot drinks? Seems strange she didn't. Finally we ordered the brownie a la mode. There were two smaller round brownies with one average size scoop of ice cream. How can the proportions of ice cream to brownie be balances if we have way less ice cream than brownie? It looked strange and I was disappointed that we didn't have more ice cream with each bite of brownie. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the brownie bc we were so hungry to eat the sweets we dove right in, but it was tasty and would order again, only if it had more vanilla goodness. The meal was nice and company was even better. I will return but hopeful the brownie has two scoops and the patio has a heater!!

Gina G.

Yelp
June 7th, we met some friends there for dinner. Our reservations were for 6:30. We had planned Happy Hour at the Farmhouse but to our surprise they had closed that evening for a private party. We arrived at The Hill early. The host was able to seat us immediately at a round table for 6. She was amazing and although we probably upset her planned seating for the night she never let us know it. Our waiter was wonderful. We never felt rushed and our food was delicious. I had the pizza, as good as any pizza place and my husband had the pork belly. We all had a great evening.

Plum C.

Yelp
Hi, we are new to this area. Found this place online for a quick lunch... After entering the room, there was NO host?!? Nobody around we can talk to...!!! Can't feel the welcome vibes at all. To save time we went straight to the bar area. After checking the menu quickly we knew what we want, I said to the bartender (the mid-age guy dark hair with glasses ) excuse me, I m ready, " I am not!!!!!! " he replied with no eye contact! We were both shocked by the first thing that came out of his mouth. After more waiting, he finally freed up - with no explanation nor an apology. we ordered one appetizer and one hot plate, let him know plz bring the appetizer first or whichever is come first! 28 + mins later nothing bring to the table, we asked to check the food, once both were brought out at the same time, both were already COLD, the grilled salmon was cold, and the Avocado toast was cold and didn't even toast the bread! None of those hot food was even warm, but we were too late to switch to another place. At the end, we ask for a " check please " after we were late for our next appt. Still have to wait much longer for the check to arrive... no words in between from this guy, but a cold face with very angry expression. What a horrible experience that was! The bottom line is if we could give this place zero stars we will! The service is nothing but RUDE, uncaring, and cold, the food supposes to be an quick fix but both were served in COLD after waiting so long was not acceptable. The services? Was it one of the worse times in our twenty years of dining out all over the country... Do yourself a fav. Do not spend ur money here, Save for another place that makes you feel warm and welcome! Then at least the hot plate will not serve cold.

Ryan R.

Yelp
The hill in Serenbe is great! Their pizza is HUGE and can easily be shared. Start with the crab dip. You can't go wrong with the steak or salmon. Very kind and pleasant staff. Check them out

Ayesha N.

Yelp
My spouse was on the fence. They had their heart set on brunch and if this place did brunch like a real breakfast brunch omg it would be as amazing as the food we had. We met with friends, did the Saturday market and headed here. We were all blown away. Everyone ordered something different and it was all amazing. We shared and no one was disappointed. We all agreed that although it wasn't a real brunch spot this place will make an exceptional lunch and dinner place. They also have a patio so an early dinner, drinks followed by a saunter! Omg, yes!!!!

Jack W.

Yelp
The Hill is a quaint restaurant where you feel like you are in someone's home I stead of a restaurant. The ambiance is great and the staff is kind, attentive and pleasant. The food is good but I would not rave about it. I went a few years ago again a couple months ago. I heard they had a management , and maybe an ownership, change? Anyway I seem to remember the first time I went the food was much better. Please don't this deter you from going there it's worth a visit. Thank you

Tanya C.

Yelp
Wonderful selection of farm to table meals. Pair it with a hand crafted cocktail and dinner is done. Great Experience.

Robert M.

Yelp
A good restaurant I have always has a good experience there the waitress service was exceptional however the worker who came barreling out the kitchen to challenge me was completely out of line. On the August 20 2023 with a 7:30 pm reservation of 10 we were politely welcomed. Being a pescatarian I ordered the Salmon plate with sides on the menu. A gentlemen brought out several orders of Salmon plates. After comparing the size of the portions of Salmon it appeared the Salmon was way less than 8oz. About half the size of the other plates. I politely brought it to his attention. He arrogantly look at me and said "We weigh all our Salmon so there is no way yours can be different". If you want the menu I can get it for you so you can order something else". (I took this as arrogance on steroids). How can the help in the kitchen tell you what you can and can not order. I once listen to a sermon by a prominent evangelist who talk about people raised in a racist homes and their parents being homophobes. The young man felt offended as a kitchen worker. There was no trying to work with the customer. He absolutely overwhelm the waitress decision making. The Food is good but not exceptional, the ambiance is OK but not memorable. I was made to order catfish (which I don't eat) because the young man did not want to exchange the Salmon. Please try to work with your customer next time instead of showing how arrogant you can represent the place and overwhelm the waitress. I digress..

Yelp
The Hill is one of two main restaurants at Serenbe, serving salads, pizzas, and elevated versions of lamb, chicken, pork, fish and vegetables. The price points are similar to The Farmhouse, with a slightly larger menu. On a Sunday night the restaurant was not full so I don't think you will have trouble getting in. Even so, they were still slow to greet us and get us drinks on the table. My advice is to just relax and enjoy the slow paced ways of Serenbe, including restaurant service. Do you really have anywhere to be? To start, we had the Frito Misto, which is similar to fried calamari except with the addition of various vegetables along with squid. The batter was light but there was a lack of flavor to the dish. I would not recommend this dish, but perhaps opt to share one of the salads containing lettuce from their farm. My friend's 5 year old ordered a pizza which was enough for at least two to share. For my entree I had the Beet Agnolotti which was a ravioli like pasta filled with a cheese and beet mixture. The filling was quite good, but the dish was a bit watery which made me think they didn't drain the pasta well enough (see picture). I also ordered the roasted root vegetables which could've been cooked slightly longer as they were crunchier than I'd expect. My husband had the rack of lamb which he enjoyed but felt it was more rare than medium rare as specified. He also had the roasted sunchokes which he stated were his favorite thing. Overall the service was very friendly but just a little on the slow side. The food was pretty good but I might try a different vegetable.

Yelp
Had the good fortune to be in Serenbe for work meeting again for the third year and once again The Hill was a great dining experience. We have been here a couple of times over the years but our meetings occur normally in January. Our meeting this year was delayed because of COVID so we visited in late April and I must say it was perfection! The menu changes with what is seasonal and it was difficult to choose from the selections. We had dinner here two nights in a row so the pictures span both nights. Great experience.

Yelp
The food here was not the best! Maybe I just got the wrong thing. If I come back I will probably get something else or try the burger! The dressing was too heavy on this. The area is super cute though :)

Yelp
We had eaten here once before, prior to the change in owners. It is one of the few 'fine dining' type places open for dinner on Sunday, so we decided to return to compare. The restaurant is located in the Serenbe community. You drive through a lot of horse farms prior to getting to Serenbe. Parking is on-street or in a small public lot down the street. We made reservations earlier that day, though at ~ 6 p.m. it wasn't too crowded yet. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a definite 'farmhouse' vibe, but done in an elegant way. Our server was very professional and helpful. The menu, while not extensive, seems to strive to offer at least one choice for almost anyone. They have fish, steaks, chicken, burgers, pizzas, and some vegetarian options. I went with the butternut squash pasta, which was quite good. My wife liked her fish as well. They also have a full bar and a good wine list. Prices aren't cheap, but are in line with a 'fine dining' place. We may consider returning, though this is a longer drive for us than some other comparable places.

Yelp
Sometimes, just by chance, you stumble across and absolute gem of a restaurant. The Hill at Serenbe is just that. Folks, let me tell you, do yourself a favor and find this place. Wow! My bartender for the evening was Shannon, she was outstanding. Great recommendations, personable and an artist when it comes to making drink. My drink of the evening was the Hill Maker. I highly recommend it. So delicious. I started with the charcuterie board which had a nice assortment of meats, nice fruit choices and a mustard. However, the two things that stood out the most for me were the bread and butter pickles and the cheddar cheese which was the star of the show. As my main entree I have the trout served with Parmesan grits and wilted spinach. It was topped off with a brown butter sauce and when I tell you it may be the best trout dish I've ever had, I am not exaggerating. Please do yourself a favor and make a visit to The Hill at Serenbe. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Wonderful laid back and elegant atmosphere. Excellent coffee and bloody Mary's, the charcuterie board was very big and varied, really enjoyed the chicken sandwich and fries. Both my partners ordered avocado toast and enjoyed it. The only downfall was the waitress. We had to ask for simple items and she was seemed less than interested in us. we all agreed she should have let us know two orders of avocado toast was way too much food. The rest of the wait staff seemed engaged and enjoying themselves. I would also recommend that you get there early they were out of a couple items and our reservation was for 1 PM.

Yelp
Service was great but we gotta do something about the prices and the quality y'all. Seriously. It's kind of obnoxious.

Yelp
Delicious and great service! That sweet neighborhood setting makes it such a lovely place for a family or a couples dinner. The seafood was perfection and the children's selections were delicious.

Yelp
4.5/5 I am sympathetic to some service wait times being in the service industry in COVID times. Shout out to the hostess who buffered with mise en place while waiting for an available server. After a brief wait our server was available and was very personable, prompt with food and drink and overall just a really nice person. We enjoyed chatting w Sheena. Wine choices were good, we went with a familiar Prosecco. Appetizer of brussels with bacon jam YUM. I had the trout which was a generous portion! Paired with the creative match of collards and pork which added deep richness to this dish. On a bed of creamy polenta felt like decadence and paired well with the light pear-forward Acinum Prosecco. If I hadn't been drinking wine, the dish may have needed a bit of acidity (vinegar or lemon) but this is the only constructive feedback-otherwise perfect. Husband had fried chicken dish, crust was tiny bit overdone but not to the point of sending back especially because interior was so juicy. Homemade lo mein again as a creative pairing and delicious. Dessert was a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Had a running bet that this had some minty addition in the recipe but cannot confirm. Perfect consistency and sweetness. Foodies from Houston and would definitely be back. Thanks for the beautiful patio table. Cheers!

Yelp
The pizza is the best! We have tried a lot of other things on the menu and they have all been great, too. Take out pizza option is amazing! I would volunteer to be their delivery boy for one pizza a night, even. Love this place. An ATM is even in the entry, wow!
