"The Hive isn’t fully either a bar or a restaurant, but since Williamsburg already has a ton of both those things, it’s useful to know about a place that exists somewhere in between. The bright space has a long bar that’s a solid option for drinks and a bite with a friend, but the majority of the space is filled with tables that can be reserved, and which work for a group dinner before a night out in the neighborhood. Wherever you sit, get a couple strong cocktails or inexpensive bottles of wine (there are multiple options for under $40), and share the very good burger with gouda and tomato chutney or the espresso-infused fried chicken sandwich. Or both." - Matt Tervooren

The Hive was such a cute gastropub located right by the water in Williamsburg! The cocktails were well made, strong, and matched their descriptions perfectly. The food was well beyond my expectations, making me feel like I was in a fancier restaurant. The taste of each dish was spot on and the Ricotta app was definitely my favorite! Also had the Crab toast which I loved as well. Had the salmon entree and the burger for dinner! Overall food was amazing and high quality for not a steep price and I could order a million cocktails there! Loved it and will definitely go back!

Came here the other night and had a really great time! The drinks were so tasty (particularly loved the Bee’s Knees) and food was great. For appetizers we had the house made ricotta & Mac & cheese. Both were delicious, but the house made ricotta was so light and incredible. We also got a side of fries with Black Truffle Carpaccio sauce and i am still dreaming of that sauce. Overall, The Hive has a great atmosphere, awesome food & drinks, and it’s got a great view of the city. Will definitely be coming back!

Attended The Hive about around last week with my boyfriend and we totally loved it! We were seated in a booth and to start, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and nice bar area. My personal favorites from the food were the House-Made Honey Ricotta and Bucatini Pasta. I don't eat much meat, but he really enjoyed The Hive Burger (which smelled delicious) and the aioli that comes with the Calamari was so good! The drinks were strong, which I personally like, some people may not like prominent flavors all in one cocktail. Overall, great date night spot and looking forward to going back!

Got reservations on a Sunday morning for brunch! It’s a cute brunch spot that has a really cool atmosphere and interior with bees everywhere as decor haha they have a nice bar with bar seating as well. The pancakes were really delicious and they offer some good brunch drinks including mimosas and Bloody Marys. The service was pretty fast to take our orders and bring the food out.

I went here for dinner, and was generally impressed. I would recommend it, and will certainly be back for brunch. The cocktails were creative, tasty, of good strength, and reasonably priced. The food tasted good, but I might suggest a few tweaks. The deviled eggs are tasty, but the serving size of three halves is simply too small. I might suggest a a larger seving size for the mac and cheese. The fries for the table were of good size. For the entree sandwiches and burgers, I think a small side salad would not cost the restaurant much, would help fill customers, and would help garnish the mains nicely. Just friendly suggestions!

Nice atmosphere, warm and friendly. Attentive service with a decent brunch menu. I had the eggs benedict with lump crab cakes and you must try the fries with various dipping sauces! Their burgers looked delicious too!

The place was packed for brunch but for a good reason! Their hive burger was amazing and can only be described if you go there. While the place was busy, I'm glad that our waitress was still somehow attentive and on point. Bathroom was clean but for those who runaway from the sight of bees, bee-ware because the wallpaper is lined with detailed somewhat-lifelike drawings of them. Still, not something I'd knock against them for. So why is this place missing a star? Well I'll give them points for trying to be creative but the raspberry mimosa had just a bunch of raspberry puree at the bottom and it didn't really mix into the drink...
