Hub Cafe is a great little place overlooking the bike trail. It's run by Branched Oak Farm, and the ingredients are locally grown/sourced and fresh. The menu is limited, but that just means they take care to make what they offer great!
I had the Shakshuka, my friend hadthe Egg Sandwich (added bacon), and we split the French Toast. I also had a cold brew (tasty!). The Shakshuka was delicious and very filling. The warming spices warmed my tummy and my soul. The older pictures show a lot more flatbread with it...mine came with 1/2 piece of lightly toasted bread sticking up like a shark fin.
The review of the biscuit sandwich was that it was the best biscuit my friend has ever eaten! It comes with just egg and cheese, so be sure to add meat or avocado per your breakfasty desires.
The french toast was dee-lish, and was 2 large pieces of brioche, citrusy-quark, raspberry compote, pecans, and syrup. Quark is on many menu items, and if you don't know what it is, shame shame! J/K, I had no idea and had to google it as I perused the menu...it's a mild and delicious soft cheese that reminds me of mascarpone.
If you're in the area, or riding/running on the trails, this is a great spot to grab a bite or coffee! It's only open for breakfast and lunch, and it started to get pretty busy around 11:15. There is a ton of bicycle parking out front. I'll definitely come again, as the food is great, and it supports a local farm!
