The Best Ice Cream in Philly | Eater Philly

"The Igloo is a neighborhood staple at 23rd and South in Graduate Hospital. This locally owned shop makes most of its soft serve on-site and draws crowds for its popular outdoor event nights in the summer. Be sure to try specialty items like the Cherry Top (vanilla custard topped with a scoop of cherry ice and rainbow sprinkles) and pup cups for your dog in peanut butter and Greek yogurt flavors." - Annemarie Dooling

The Igloo Review - Fishtown - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"The Igloo has two Philly locations—one in Fishtown and the other in Grad Hospital— and it’s one of those self-serve frozen yogurt spots where you make your own bowl. The staff is in charge of filling those huge cups with toppings, so you should get an absurd amount of stuff like gummy bears, Oreos, chocolate chips, and peanut butter cups. Flavors change every week and it’s best to rely on the boards hanging in their windows instead of their website for all the up-to-date options.  " - Candis R. McLean

A Local Favorite with Room to Grow for Vegan Options Igloo in Fitler Square is one of those ice cream shops that brings the whole neighborhood together—bright, cheerful, and full of variety. As someone who’s always on the hunt for standout vegan ice cream, I was happy to find that Igloo does offer a vegan option. Their vanilla soft serve is the lone vegan ice cream flavor, but it’s a good one—creamy, smooth, and impressively tasty. I’ve sampled vegan ice cream across many cities, and not all vanilla is created equal—this one holds its own. However, I’d love to see more options for those of us who don’t consume dairy. While there are fruit-forward choices like sorbet and açaí bowls, vegans looking for a true ice cream experience might feel a bit limited. I'd also love to see shakes made with a plant-based milk on the menu—something that would really round out the offerings and make the experience more inclusive for those of us who can’t do traditional dairy. That said, Igloo truly shines in other ways. My family, who happily eat everything, love it here. The shop is welcoming with plenty of seating both indoors and outside, which makes it an ideal spot to relax with a cone or sundae on a sunny afternoon. One of the standout features for me is their selection of high-end sauces—my personal favorite being the pistachio sauce. It’s unique, rich, and something you don’t find at your average ice cream shop. It elevates even the simplest dish and keeps me coming back. All in all, Igloo is a sweet spot with a lot to love. I’m hoping to see them continue to expand their vegan offerings—especially plant-based shakes—so that everyone can fully enjoy the fun.

Simple spot with good flavors and tasty ice cream. The best part—it’s super dog friendly. It can get a little busy during peak times, but pups are always welcome at the front window for a free pup cup. The walk-up window is a nice touch for dog owners.

lots of vegan friendly froyo options👍 the original froyo i got was a bit too creamy i like my froyo a bit more on the smooth and sour side. there were loads of topping options though and the staff were friendly.

It is hard to put into words what this place means to me. Sure, it’s just ice cream and froyo…and yet, it’s more. First, the product: The Igloo has stuff you can’t find anywhere else. Among their awesome selection of flavors includes one called Yogorino, a light, refreshing, slightly lemony flavor that you can’t get anywhere else. But, the toppings are beyond anything you can find anywhere else. There’s my favorite: Peanut Butter Krocco — a creamy PB sauce with crispy crunchies in it. There’s also chocolate Krocco, a one-of-a-kind pistachio sauce, and a textured white chocolate sauce. Now for the big reason this place means so much to me: the people. Everyone is amazing but Cam and Octavia are world-class humans. Always friendly and welcoming but even more, they go the extra mile. After my father passed away, I ordered DoorDash from The Igloo because in my pain, I craved something comforting. For me, that is vanilla froyo, peanut butter Krocco, and chocolate sauce. I added a note that it had been a “rough week” after my father passed and it would mean a lot if they could go a little crazy with the Krocco. When it arrived, I saw a cup constructed with love. More than a year later, I went into the Igloo in person and was recounting how impactful that was and Cam and Octavia remembered it with the kind of clarity that only comes from people who care. The Igloo is more than ice cream. They are the kind of people that transcend customer service and deliver an experience of real genuine human connection each time. Add that to the best froyo and toppings, why go anywhere else?

Google
The Igloo is a self-serve frozen yogurt spot with a fun twist — you serve your own froyo, but the staff handles the toppings. While they’re generous with them, I kind of wish we could add our own to better control the amount. Still, the flavors really stand out. I loved the raspberry pomegranate and the imported European ice cream — both are rich, tart, and you can really taste the probiotic tang. Seriously amazing. They didn’t have cups available for taste-testing, so we had to pick flavors on instinct, which was a bit of a gamble. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the cinnamon toast crunch flavor, but everything else we tried was solid. There was a long line since it was a hot day, but it moved quickly enough that nothing melted before we could dig in. Indoor seating is limited — just a couple of tables and chairs — but there’s a quaint little triangle-shaped outdoor area with string lights that makes for a nice evening spot once the sun backs off. A great place to cool down and treat yourself after a hot day.

Google
Extremely high quality water ice (very creamy), unbelievably friendly customer service, very clean and a very attractive price point at this day and age. A five star establishment if I ever saw one. Can't believe I only discovered it because they keep longer hours than the chain.

AMAZING! The woman that was working there this evening was an absolute delight, super friendly, sweeter than a Georgia peach and created a whole experience for me and my family. Even though they were out of açaí, she went above and beyond to deliver the best experience possible. The frozen yogurt was delicious and the price affordable. Highly recommended!

This is such a simple and cute spot with great frozen yogurt flavors! My usual Yogorino cup with fresh fruit will never fail to brighten my mood🍨.

Yelp
I live three blocks from here now and am SO thrilled that I finally found a reason to stop by this weekend. I often want a small treat and find that some ice cream shops in town load you up unnecessarily. Being in control of my exact soft serve flavor specifications and amount at Igloo? An indulgent gorly's dream! Never mind the fact that they have a huge variety of toppings and also sell sandwiches and novelties out of the freezer. I cannot wait to go back and try more flavors. I opted for the cinnamon toast crunch soft serve with oreos and brownies pieces. The staff here was super kind and accommodating and everyone left happy with their own personalized concoctions. Great location, great garden to enjoy your treats, and overall 5 star nostalgic vibes from Igloo. Will return!

Yelp
Such a cute interior! Just got peanut kroko and nutella for toppings because I had loaded up on all the yogurt flavors but those were two good additions. Loved the yogorino (imported from Italy apparently) but each flavor was good.

Yelp
They have a lot of options here: frozen yogurt, ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, parfaits, ice cream by the pint, etc. Very family-friendly and kid-friendly shop with good amount of seating indoors and outdoors in the plaza. They don't have too many frozen yogurt flavors compared to other places I've visited (they had 10, but most of them seemed similar, e.g. Vanilla, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Greek Yogurt, Original Yogurt). The only interesting flavor they had that stood out when I visited was Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Their frozen yogurt is $0.69/oz, and their froyo seems creamier than other froyo I've tried -- almost like a mix between frozen yogurt and ice cream. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually was a mix between the two since they do make their own ice cream. I didn't like the creamier texture for froyo, but that's just a personal preference! I liked the froyo at Kiwi in University City more -- they have more flavors, and they allow you to add all the toppings yourself!

Yelp
I really love their raspberry sorbet and dairy free yogurt! Perfect for lactose intolerant or dairy allergies. Everything is priced by weight. I usually get coconut, Oreos, mochi, and fruit. They have some sitting tables outside and there's a small fountain. Even when it gets busy the service is quick. There's also a grab and go fridge with ice cream sandwiches!

Yelp
The Igloo is my go-to and simply the best froyo place in philly! My favorite flavor of all time is their Yogurino, which is an "original" flavor. It is a perfect balance of sweet and tart and is soooo delicious. It kind of reminds me of the yogurt I always eat when I am in China. For toppings, I like to get blueberries, strawberries, and a sprinkle of mochi pieces. Both their chocolate shell and the pistachio shell are bomb!

Yelp
Came here on a whim for some good dessert and came out deeply satisfied. They offer a great selection of flavors and toppings although I struggled on choosing just one flavor. I ended up getting a little bit of three and each was delightful in its own way. They do not skimp on toppings although I was a little disappointed that the sauces would be an additional cost. However, the froyo stands on its own even without sauce and toppings.

Yelp
Love Igloo! Flavors, toppings, hours and staff are great here. My children adore coming here for a treat and I appreciate that you can choose your own portion as it's self serve.

Yelp
The Igloo is such a great place. Today the owner opened 30 minutes earlier for us because we walked by and my daughter wanted ice cream. She also offered to hold our ice cream while my daughter got a hair cut. She was so nice and generous. The ice cream was also delicious! I would definitely recommend and I will be back for more ice cream and frozen yogurt!

Yelp
So glad I got to stop by The Igloo on an unseasonably warm February afternoon. Though I was tempted by Franklin Fountain's ice cream, I decided to try their self-serve and created a bowl full of Chocolate Custard and Salted Caramel topped with hot fudge, rainbow sprinkles, and cookie dough. It was exactly what I wanted! Service was friendly and, to top it off, we got to witness a dog's joy at enjoying its first pup cup to celebrate its birthday right outside the shop! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
It's crowded during the evening but management. Selections are limited and found in most ice cream shops. Small shop. Overall average experience and nothing special.

Yelp
This is my go-to froyo spot in Philly! Very reasonably priced for the content, love the set-up, and the woman that works here is very kind to me and my friends every single time. She even offers to put on shows for us to watch while inside. I've been here many times on separate occasions in diverse weather, and am never, ever disappointed! There's a wide range of froyo and non-froyo options, and you can mix-and-match whatever you want to in your froyo bowl. Their hours are great for the purpose -- one time I went around 10pm! Highly recommend, I have yet to find another froyo place at this level.

Yelp
Simply the best froyo in philly. Their greek yogurt flavor is sooo nice and tangy and i love the cinnamon toast as well. I want to try their choc hazelnut and pistachio sauces. Their uber eats delivery was very good and the froyo was still cold and structured when it came ! Too bad my friend and i gobbled it all up b4 i cld get a picture x

Yelp
Great customer service. I love the hard ice cream the most. Great place for the kids on Friday. It's movie night.

Yelp
Stopped in here after a bike ride and picnic in Fitler Square. I'd been here before and gotten froyo. They're doing self-serve with the froyo but not with the toppings -- glad to see they are still taking some precautions! Overall, the froyo flavors weren't speaking to us, but then we saw the Franklin Fountain ice cream and decided to get a scoop of honeycomb and strawberry. The scoops are HUGE and the flavors are everything you'd expect from FF - delicious. Also thought the service was nice -- the woman serving up the ice cream and toppings was very friendly and she seemed to know a lot about the Franklin Fountain ice creams (like how FF has their own bees so yes, there is real honeycomb in the ice cream). Overall a good experience and would probably come back knowing we don't have to go all the way to Old City for Franklin Fountain.

Yelp
Such delicious flavors and great topping options. I also love the seating area outside. Definitely a great place to have a treat during the summer.

Yelp
Used DoorDash for the first time and ordered dessert from the Igloo, so cannot speak for physical location or customer service. These aspects had no effect on my review. In short, probably not the best place to order for delivery but would be good fresh. What intrigued us about The Igloo was its churros. They offer a Churro Cone as well as individual filled churros. Not many places offer churros as a full menu item. They also have a decent amount of flavors of ice cream/fro yo/water ice. Churro Cone with vanilla custard & chocolate shell: 3.75/5. Liked the custard and chocolate shell. Because it was delivery, they were very clever in taping the cone in two plastic cups. I just had to try this churro cone. Unfortunately, it was more like eating cinnamon sugar day-old bread. It had the taste of a churro but not the texture. By the time it got to us it was not hot, so it may work better warm. Don't think I would order again on delivery, but if I ever made it out there I would order the cone with possibly the strawberry flavor. Wanted to try a classic, tried and true vanilla. Medium chocolate custard & pomegranate raspberry sorbet with hot fudge and strawberries: 3.5/5 . The strawberries were big but were totally frozen. Liked the ice cream flavors. Stuffed churros: peanut butter, caramel, and chocolate hazelnut flavoring. I was disappointed that the churros were not real- you could see the seam line on the end of a churro, which you would not get if you were piping the batter in to hot oil and frying it as a traditional churro. Nothing really else to say, just fine

Yelp
Finally found a frozen yogurt place not far from Center City Philly! Especially loved the variety of food that they offer here: frozen yogurt, different ice cream or ice cream sandwiches, and Acai bowls! The store looks cute both inside and out. They have a television running Japanese cartoons nonstop, creating an atmosphere of kids coming here to relax after a long day of school. It made me feel nostalgia. Meanwhile, they have a number of seatings outside with those fun colored chairs. Families are welcome to seat there and enjoy their desserts together in a lazy afternoon....

Ryan P.

Yelp
a little pricey and the topings selection is smaller than other froyo places i've been but it's a great spot. adorable patio seating with lights and a small garden, employees are always super chill and friendly. ice cream cookie sandwiches are NEXT LEVEL!

John J.

Yelp
the exact same stuff you'd see from the big yogurt franchises but more expensive with less options
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
Great vibes in here! Went in and they were playing disney movie songs... "Be a Man" from Mulan happened to be on and my friend, the cashier, and myself had a beautiful singalong moment while buying our ice cream. What a jam. The ice cream does not disappoint (would recommend the pumpkin flavor this fall!) and they also really know how to load you up on the cookie dough bites (which is clearly what every cookie-dough-bite-loving person needs!). There is a cute outdoor seating area that sometimes has live music. No indoor seating was available when I went, but there was more than enough room outside on a lovely night to sit and enjoy. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Updating my review for The Igloo. I use ^ to indicate a half-star and * for a full star. So, ***^ means 3.5 stars: ***** Yogorino yogurt: this is my fave. It's delicious, not too sweet. **** Eggy vanilla custard yogurt ** Cake batter: I didn't like this, it was too sweet * Pistachio sauce (Yogorino brand) tastes fake. Also, it seems expensive at 99cents for a bit (it's not sold by weight). Even worse, it doesn't taste good. (I remember it tasting better when I got it at the Yogorino store.) I'd go for the Yogorino yogurt. Or I'd ask to try other ones before buying, since many of the other yogurts didn't taste good. Maybe next time I'll try the Greek yogurt. Service is fine.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good. The machines are well maintained, the flavor choices are good. The staff is really friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd give them a higher review but the last two times I ordered I got next to no sprinkles. Can't cost a lot to cover the top with sprinkles...had to go spelunking for those things
google avatar

Thuy Anna L.

Yelp
Ever since Yogorino closed in Philly this place has been my go to spot! They bought the recipe from Yogorino but, in my opinion, it doesn't tastes exactly the same. Igloo's version is still really good and it beats driving all the way to Paoli. I also really like the Greek yogurt froyo here despite the powdery aftertaste. Customer service is always great. There are plenty of chairs and tables outside the store and they play movies right outside in the summertime. Great place to walk to and have a chill night if you live in the area. And they open late!
google avatar

Yelp
Brought the kids here for a treat and was blown away by the kid-friendliness! There are games, lego and crayons available -- which were perfect for my 1, 4, and 6 year olds. There is a great variety of ice cream AND frozen yogurt. There is a stellar collection of toppings including gummy bears! The kids were happy. And when the kids are happy, the parents are happy.

Yelp
The Igloo denied me and my service dog service and was not interested in being educated on the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) laws pertaining to service dogs. The manager, Carolyn, repeatedly told me that she would only serve me at the window, which is against the law. You cannot restrict access to any place available to the public for anyone with a service dog for any reason unless the dog is not under the handlers control. Her and her employees were not interested and Carolyn only offered excuses including, "there are kids with disabilities that come there and some employees are allergic to dogs." I was hoping to show her my ADA card and the laws, but we were asked to leave. I have filed a report with the ADA and The United States Department of Justice. I will be contacting local news outlets to raise awareness and educate businesses on the ADA laws so people with disabilities are not discriminated against. In Philadelphia I have gone to numerous stores like Shop Rite, PetSmart, Home Depot, Rita's Italian Ice, who have shown support of people with disabilities that deserve access so that we aren't limited and feel like we belong.

Yelp
So yummy!! The guys who work here are so generous and nice!! We came in last minute before closing time and they welcomed us, took pictures of us and their frozen yogurt is yumm!!

Yelp
My friends and I have been craving froyo for awhile now and had a difficult time finding a place in the city until we came across The Igloo! They've got great flavors (salted caramel was delish), a wide variety of topping choices, and sauces! You can even get it in a cone too. We went in the winter, so we stayed inside but there are cute places to sit outside on warmer says. Plus the staff was super friendly!
google avatar

Nory T.

Yelp
Came across this after dinner. Such a cute little place in a nice neighborhood! Loved the art and the variety of options they had. My boyfriend got a custom made milkshake and I got some waterice. I also thought it was amazing how they are open till 12 on weekends, as most ice cream and dessert places close much sooner. Also very affordable. Will definitely be returning here plenty more times!

Yelp
Ah Igloo. Just walking in the doors makes me have the, "I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMER" feeling. The FroYo itself is great, pick your flavor(s), pick your toppings. They also have milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches. My favorite flavors are peanut butter & greek yogurt. I love the location & the community feel of this place. They show movies for kids in the summertime, the tables are outside and seats are open by the fountain, it seriously is one of my favorite summer activities. After you're done, you can talk a walk over to the South Street Bridge and walk off your Froyo... maybe even get a second round on your way back ;)

Yelp
3.5 Stars. Sweet little 'top your own' fro-yo spot in Grad Hospital area. Kiddos just love it here. In fact, they host kids birthday parties! Positives: -The location is great. Very welcoming, safe neighborhood with an adorable polka dot painted outdoor space. So, so lovely to sit outside here in warmer weather! -Very friendly, helpful staff! - Pretty standard pay per weight fro-yo prices with sugar free options. -Tv, coloring books and little sitting area for the wee ones. -They hand make beautiful creamy popsicles and cater them to a theme with colors if you're having a party here! Nice touch! Negatives: -Only one dairy free option and its water ice, not yogurt. Whaaah. -A lot less toppings than other places were used to. Less fruit and healthier options too. All and all, we'll be back, especially in summer. It's so fun to sit outside with the neighbors. Very cute little outdoor space.

Yelp
This place is the BEST!!!! please never close!!! I love the serve yourself places. And they have a large courtyard with a fountain and a big screen TV playing movies. Love this place everytime!!

Yelp
Igloo is not only my favorite frozen yogurt in Philadelphia (thank goodness you brought Yogorino back) - but the staff could not be kinder or more generous. Igloo is amazing for parties! I hosted a gathering for Penn's Camp Kesem chapter (a camp for children with parents affected by cancer), and we could not have asked for easier communication, a better deal, or more delicious gelato and frozen yogurt. Our campers and their families had the best time hanging outside at the Triangle, playing games, and enjoying their frozen yogurt. It was an unbelievably affordable and popular event for us. Consider Igloo for your next birthday party, work gathering, or fundraiser! Can't say enough good things. Special thanks to Caroline!
google avatar

Mel G.

Yelp
It's froyo you can't go wrong with it. My favorite is this yogorino one. They use to have their own location on rittenhouse but closed down. So happy this spot has their froyo
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
A tasty froyo place right in Gray's Ferry. Service is good. I enjoyed the vanilla mixed with some fruity pebbles. I, of course, added a plethora of toppings. I appreciate that all of the fruit toppings looked good. Sometimes it looks a bit mealy but not here! The best part about The Igloo is actually it's location. It was so nice to take outside and sit by the fountain with the little nook all lit up!
google avatar

Shuxian X.

Yelp
Good place for dessert with affordable price and environment. I got a black and white ice cream and my bf got fro yo with some toppings. Both of them only cost us 8? But definitely less than 10.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
The Igloo is a so-so neighborhood frozen yogurt shop. It has some local charm for being right near the little plaza. The frozen yogurt itself was just ok. I wasn't a huge fan of my flavor, though maybe there are others you'd enjoy better. The topping selection was moderate - certainly not as impressive as other frozen yogurt joints. Overall fine for local convenience, but not the most remarkable.
google avatar

Cecilia J.

Yelp
I've been eyeing this place ever since I moved to Philadelphia since it's right by this cute little square with ample seating and string lights. However I have to say that I was disappointed by the frozen yogurt. Maybe I'm just not yet fully adjusted to the way things are priced around here, but I came here from Atlanta (another city with semi-comparable prices on food), where I was used to paying $5 max for a bowl of froyo (any type) with unlimited toppings ranging from fresh mango/blueberry to mochi to cereal or chocolate bits. Here, though, I paid $7 for the same amount of froyo with only 2 toppings...and their selection of toppings is very limited (mostly just chocolate candy related items which isn't really my jam). The taste of it was also not memorable at all. I'm hoping it was a one off and that maybe I got the wrong flavor, but even so I can't really reconcile paying the price for what I'm getting. Service was friendly and fast, though!
google avatar

Peixin M.

Yelp
While it may look a little quirky and rundown, don't sleep on this neighborhood joint. Igloo does it ALL: cookies, ice cream, acai, froyo, custard, soft serve, churros -- you name it. They have Yogorino (the greatest froyo of froyos) and multiple other froyo options, including vegan options. They also post calorie count for their froyos, which are also pretty affordable. For only $2-$3, I can get myself a small sweet treat to round out the evening. The little patio/park right outside is also great as a hangout spot and has cute lights in the nighttime.
google avatar

Concur S.

Yelp
Ice cream is tasty, a lot of options, outside area very nice, staff attentive! And I love that they have gluten free Ice cream!

Mirna M.

Yelp
if you are hoping for a PinkBerry type place, this is not it. The tart yogurt is very disappointing and the rest might as well be TCBY. I walked a few miles to check this place out and even on a 90 degree day was disappointed. The frozen section at the grocery store would have been better.
google avatar

Esther L.

Yelp
First time there and loved the yogorino. But the reason we loved this place was the service there. I asked about peanuts since my daughter is severely allergic and they were so so helpful. They explained what we needed to avoid and I LOVED how all their peanut and nut toppings were all placed on a different side (to avoid contamination). They were so attentive, it was wonderful... esp since my kid is so limited in what/where she can eat. Thanks for the delicious treats and I'll be back soon for those wonderful looking cookie sandwiches!
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
We stopped in for a snack while in Philly for the weekend, and wow were there a ton of options. We were actually overwhelmed at first and needed about 5 minutes to fully appreciate everything they have on offer. We eventually decided on an ice cream sandwich with peanut butter cookies and peanut butter frozen yogurt. It was AMAZING. The peanut butter cookies were some of the best I've ever had--buttery and crispy throughout. The frozen yogurt tasted exactly like ice cream, and didn't have any weird tanginess that peanut butter froyo sometimes suffers from. My husband and I were splitting it but found ourselves fighting over every bite, it was that good. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and patient with us despite our indecision, and even when the place was swarmed with kids later, the service never suffered. We loved our ice cream sandwich so much that we tried to make it back the next day before our flight, and my husband was brokenhearted when we ran out of time. I'm sure next time we come back to Philly, we'll make a beeline for the Igloo!

Yelp
The Igloo has become my favorite dessert spot in the city after just one visit. The Igloo is located on Grays Ferry, settled inside a small strip mall and nestled between a bar and antique shop. The inside of The Igloo is awesome, it is constructed to look like its namesake; an igloo. In the center of the igloo there are high top tables and seating. To the left you'll find the cups, the right the toppings and register, and in front the frozen yogurt! I tried the strawberry and dark chocolate. I would skip the strawberry next time and go full dark chocolate, it was delicious and so dark it was almost black! If the weather is nice, there is also an awesome seating area right outside the shop. This area has tables with chairs and lounge chairs around a water fountain. Super cool vibes. One of the bike rental stands is also right by the seating area- making it even easier to get to and from The Igloo. In addition to the great ice cream and seating options The Igloo has a few unique things, first they offer a pup cup. For $0.50 they'll provide your pup with their own special treat. And second, they have movie nights outside- What's better then watching a movie outside with some ice cream? With everything being so cool (pun intended), why not 5 stars? The toppings. I've been to a decent amount of Frozen Yogurt shops and the toppings here just didn't compare. There was not a huge selection and they what they did have wasn't super fresh- the toppings were rocking a day old look.

Yelp
Front: Churro Cone with Cookies and Cream Frozen Yogurt with caramel sauce on top. Back: Churro Cone with cinnamon toast crunch ice cream and marshmallow fluff sauce on top. This place exceeded our expectations, it's a lovely family owned business with amazing customer service. The owner made us feel more than welcome and helped us through each step of ordering. She was very nice and even told us the creative process behind some of the menu items. On our first taste we were both more than satisfied with the way the flavors of ice cream and sauce complimented one another. It did not take us long to finish these at all. The cookies and cream yogurt tasted exactly like ice cream and the caramel sauce meshed perfectly with the taste. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch ice cream was very rich and creamy and the marshmallow fluff sauce only elevated the taste. This is a place I wish to was all over the US and we wouldn't definitely come again. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars.

Yelp
There are surprisingly not a lot of true frozen yogurt spots in the city. But hey, one great one is enough. I have only been here during the pandemic so I haven't experienced creating my own bowls, but hopefully I will one day. Their options are a bit overwhelming, they have Frozen yogurt, Sorbet, Gelato, Milkshakes, Cookies, Custard, and loads of toppings. I have had the yogurt, custard and icecream. I prefer the Yogorino yogurt which has a nice tartness and the Custard. All of the flavors are great, you really can't go wrong. So if you have that frozen treat craving, head on down to south street, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I'm going to be straight with you. I am not usually a fan of frozen yogurt. It just doesn't do for me what ice cream or even water ice can do. But after several visits to The Igloo, my mind has been changed. The Greek frozen yogurt is really, really good. I don't like plain frozen yogurt, but I like The Igloo's version. With some cookie crumbles on top, it's perfect. And something like 125 calories per serving. Just be mindful of that serving size while utilizing the single-size, serve-yourself bucket. I get the purpose of said bucket at a store that prices things out based on weight, but a single serving of fro-yo literally looks like... well, a drop in a bucket. Another thing I like about this place is that they aren't just frozen yogurt. They also serve a couple types of gelato, and water ice is on the agenda for this summer. The owners are super friendly and really care about their customer feedback. I'm so glad this place is in my neighborhood!

Yelp
Such a cute neighborhood joint! A mix of serve-yourself gelato, frozen yogurt, or custard, which the calorie info on the nozzles so you know what you're getting into! Just moving to Philadelphia and being used to a lot higher prices, 55cents per ounce is great! And toppings are free! Putting any sauce on top though will do you in for an extra $1 but it's worth it for peanut butter sauce on chocolate froyo. BEST PART OF THIS PLACE IS MOVIE FRIDAYS. Every Friday they screen a film on their patio area and the neighborhood enjoys some froyo and a flick. Super fun! Definitely a nice Friday night with the family or some friends.
